They’re very much aware of this thread and have directed people here to report bugs (See https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/3-16-15-patch-bugs/4885176)
And they’ve already fixed a few. Give them time. It’s still early in the day at ArenaNet and we don’t want them accidentally pushing out more bugs in a rush to fix these. I don’t think there’s really any reason for them to reply when they’ve already acknowledged the thread and directed people here.
Yup, even though there are a lot of broken stuff and some can be annoying, let’s give them time. Things aren’t fixed in a snap of fingers, also they are just starting their work day and it doesn’t even make 24 hours it went live. Irritating and annoying I know, but let’s be patient, at least they acknowledged them.
When you change the vertical height of your camera it actually lifts the image on your loading screens too lol
Weird, I haven’t done any changes to vertical height but loading screen is lifted for me. Gotta check it closely.
BLACK LION TRADING POST BUG after March 16th Game Patch. :’(
Can’t buy or sell any stuff which pretty much kills the game itself.
I haven’t had any issues with BLT after patch, then I don’t think it’s directly related with the patch.
Also, there is an interesting thing in the Bug Report tool… explore all the categories and you can find something unexpected for this patch Maybe that was what caused all this mess with the tool.
The patch needs a rollback for more than just the GWAMM exploit.
Green party and /say chat.
Green down state health bars.
Messed up loading screen.
Map-wide voice clips.
Minimap is misaligned.
Various crash bugs. This patch is a mess.
Just a comment here. In fact, Minimap isn’t misaligned, it is where it always have been :P Yes, what is wrong there is it’s missing a background texture, what makes it looks like it’s floating. Look closely and you will see the whole skill bar is lacking a background. This issue is also what is making the level boxes to look black. Compare with old pics and it’s clearly noticeable.
I have seen another one not mentioned here yet: the health bar in the Party UI doesn’t show up when you first join a party, it occasionally shows up after a while but a bit messed (it’s tinier and with a different shade of green).
Another interesting thing: go to Bug Report tool and check each of the sub-areas for each category… Surprise
Nice nice, and you are welcome.
Not sure if anyone else has found this ( I haven’t gone through all these pages yet ) but the table in Caithe’s house is also messed up, and gives an equally messed up item.
Seems like a bunch of code has screwed up big time everywhere.
Shush >.> <.< Don’t tell anyone you found something there… :P See https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/HoT-stuff-showing-up-in-current-patch
Three bugs that I’ve noticed so far:
1. Player voice calls are being broadcast over a wide area (mapwide?) even if you’re not in the immediate vicinity of the player. Some players are abusing this by setting shouts on autocast while in town. It’s kind of amusing, but it gets tedious pretty fast.
2. Some items are not stacking properly. I did a Fractals run today and I can’t stack the 2 new Pristine Relics I’ve obtained with my old stack.
3. Trying to report a bug gives a whole bunch of [[random numbers]] categories. Makes it pretty hard to tell what they’re supposed to be.
1: No one seem to be “actually” shouting but “yourself”. Zoom in your character and you will see their lips moving when the weird shouts come out. It’s your own char who is throwing out different voices.
3: There is an interesting thing about that bug (already reported here )
Ah another one. The music from character screen, or even from previous map, keeps playing during loading screen (maybe intended? I don’t see it as bad but it’s not as it was before)
Hehe, no worry, it happens (in fact, I went through that once :P). Yw and glad it worked.
Yeah, Bug Report tool is messed up. Maybe pick up any category, the description is what will matter after all.
About voice bug: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Hearing-Player-Shouts-for-Map
And yes, Bug Report tool is messed up (there is a little interesting fact in it though )
Just hover near those icons at right (where open world map button is at per example), a bar will show up and then click between the buttons when the cursors changes to a hand and grab it down.
In fact, it seem the game does some calculations to “figure out” a path, I have noted some delay when using the skill between triggering it and getting an error or successful teleport.
Remember they are also humans and need some rest (even though they messed up with stuff) :P They have already acknowledged stuff and are working on fixes, but they also have a live, give them some time :P
My fps and ping have gotten alot worse just since this patch also. Normally my ping is 70 or below and tonight it’s hovering around 200. My fps during vinewrath is normally 45 and tonight it’s constantly 30. Idk why the patch has done this but it’s really bad. I know it’s not just me either. And it’s not my internet connection cause my signal strength for my modem is near perfect and my bandwidth is excellent.
A note about ping: if you usually checks it through command prompt or similar, it just can be that you aren’t measuring it like the game does. The ping utility uses as default a packet of 32 bytes, but the game seems to use a package of 10240 bytes. Try to set it like that and check if both in-game and the utility matches (for Windows 7 [maybe other versions too] add -l 10240 to the command).
The ping is the same whether checked ingame or thru a terminal.
Ah ok, not the case for you then.
I have found some other weird issues:
When teleporting via WP in world map, after clicking a WP the prompt looks bigger than before (not a big deal though) and the map does that closing animation (as if you hit Esc) before it goes to loading screen.
And a peculiar thing regarding Bug Report tool: under one of the categories (I can’t recall which one right now) you will see as Sub-Area something like “Profession: Revenant” xD Yup, it looks like they are putting expansion related stuff in this patch. Also, it seems like the messed localized names in Bug Report and items can be due some misplaced new string somewhere.

They fixed 2 bugs with the last patch, some server crash and the vendor bug…that’s it?
Fixing stuff takes time. It’s good enough that Anet is working on them. For the meantime, while they fix the others, we don’t have to deal with the vendor’s bug. Isn’t that better than waiting until they finally fix all of them?
Yeah, it’s better having a fix now and then than having to wait longer for a bunch of fixes (that can even bring more issues due a lot done at once).
what bothers me the most is that there has been practically no response from anet about any of these issues
They did (not much as expected though). The issue about vendors showing only usable items was quickly acknowledged as bug.
A silly but increasingly annoying is the floating mini map. Please put it BACK down against the leveling bar. And, remove those black ends to the leveling bar. They add nothing but make eye sores out of the bottom corners.
I wouldn’t mind but, the bottom of the mini map isn’t even in line with the chat box.
In fact, the mini map always had been floating :P It didn’t change. What happens is it had a black background that was also part of skills bar background. What the patch broke was that background image, what caused the minimap to look as floating as well the black boxes on level info (left and right). Just look closely and you will see the skill bar has no background (usually a blueish texture, comparing with old pics makes it clear) right now.
- Bug: Can’t buy items from NPCs that aren’t usable for our proffesions (As example: dungeon weapons for the achievement).
It has been confirmed by a red post as really a bug. https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Vendor-List-Limit-Vigil-Priory-Whispers
The whole game is around 20 Gb at this stage (no idea after patch as it didn’t finish yet atm), then I wouldn’t say it downloaded the whole thing again (unless you missed a zero in your title :P). However, as write this I noted it downloaded 1140 Mb while at 94%. Ah and remember that if you restart the launcher it will restart the counting, it will show the % remain for the remaining files only.
lol! Maybe it can be related to the bug where your char says random stuff from other races, classes and genders.
To explain it better: if it’s a new account or you don’t have any character who hit that unlock then you won’t able to use them until that level. If your account already have any maxed char (maybe any char above that level), you will be able to use them even when in low lvl chars. I hope I made it clear.
Ah well, if you have an account with any maxed chars then it’s already unlocked, maybe that’s why your friend can do it. [yay NPE :P] And you are welcome, I hope you enjoy the game despite all.
Known bug with latest patch https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Hearing-Player-Shouts-for-Map
Yeah, that’s what I though. Skill challenges unlock at level 13, you aren’t supposed to deal with Skill Challenges yet. Check this for more info: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Level_rewards
[yay, du… NPE strikes again… :P]
Oh just a thing guys: please read back this thread (and others if possible) before reporting things, this thread has only 3 pages it’s not so much. I have seen posts after posts saying the exact same thing. It just gets tiresome for us and devs to keep track of the issues.
just patience https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zaGUr6wzyT8 they will fix it all so just stay happy and play and find them nasty bugs so we help them as much as we can n_n
Good point. Just let’s keep reporting any bug found and hope they can bring up a fix asap. Not that someone did this but keep complaining over and over about the same things or even cursing won’t help (I haven’t seen these things around actually, just saying ) Keep calm and report :P
It seems to be similar with vendors showing only items (armor/weapons) you can use. If so then it’s acknowledged as bug (that one was).
Oh and about the issue with XP bar and minimap, it seems like it’s missing a texture down there, there’s no background behind skills as well (seems like several things in game is missing textures).
For those tired of the random voices and stuff (although may be funny), just turn off Dialog sound in Sound options (for those who don’t know this option). You won’t hear ANY voice in game but it could be a temp fix for that annoyance.
A side note: I usually do that at Thaumanova as those coughing get annoying >.<
- Inventory Resizes randomly. (oh wait this was there since forever!)
Lol! Ah, targeting is broken too. (oops, it has been there since launch :P)
Firstly, just to discard options just in case, what is your level? And what map was that? Centaurs are spread around several maps then just a bit hard to figure out which one you mean.
Go to Contacts panel, set your status to offline and then back online. It seems to be a workaround for the issue of not being able to talk in guild chat. However, be aware that there have been reports about that action causing a client crash.
Yup, that’s a known issue with the recent patch. There are several threads about it (yay for working search :P)
:P didn’t realy bother.
Hehe, no problem. Several others seems to didn’t bother either :P
Yup, it seems there are issues with Blink: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Mesmer-Blink-bug-2/
Oh, I wish the search function worked on these forums.... Sorry for opening another thread on this.
You have been forgiven, hehe. In fact, you aren’t the only one. There are a lot of threads about the same issues with the recent patch. It seems the most doesn’t go any further than the first page *shrugs*.
From what I learned recently, it may be due the size of the packet. The game seems to use packets with 10240 bytes of data while the default for ping in console is 32 bytes. Try to change it and see if both get close (on Windows 7 [maybe other versions too] it’s the parameter -l [e.g. ping <ip here> -l 10240]).
tried that. thank you. it’s 26 ms on average versus 47 ingame with that parameter.
Somewhat closer then, it seems it was like I said yes.
Yup, that’s a known issue with the recent patch. There are several threads about it (yay for working search :P)
I have this problem in WvW (2way sli gtx 580sc and nvidia drivers v347.52).
That has been reported before, not related with the recent patch. See https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Stuck-in-the-map-or-seeing-map-art-issues/4835893
The bug about vendors displaying only usable armor was confirmed by a dev: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Vendor-List-Limit-Vigil-Priory-Whispers
(it seems someone switched the wrong variable :P)
lol, not being able to report a bug because of a bug? Now we are doomed :P
