I think the options were this or server merging. Think about which of those you would rather have?
Server merging.
Because the population on some servers was just fine pre-Megaserver, thank you.

I’m guessing that the underwater weapon bug will be fixed at some point. I doubt that was intentional, as it completely nullifies the whole “can’t switch weapons after stacking” change.
I do think this is a valid complaint. I don’t think that eles or engis should have access to more than 2 sigils at once like other classes – that’s how they’re balanced – but one slot now having to be a stacking sigil doesn’t leave much room for anything else. When the bug’s fixed, this will really be an issue.
Catorii | Lustre Delacroix | Catorii Desmarais | Synalie
After being forced to deal with the Megaserver for a few weeks, I can say that it’s not all bad. I was vehemently against it at first.
That said, pretty much the only real positive to it is that zones are more populated when doing map completions – which is both good and bad, really, because yes, you see more players, and yes, more events get done, but you’re also competing with a crapload of people for tags on some hearts that have very few mobs that count toward it.
As for the rest -
I still hate the destruction of server communities. It’s been suggested countless times that we need either server-specific chats or for the racial cities to not be on the megaserver. Make it happen, please, because we miss our communities.
Having more people at world bosses isn’t necessarily a bad thing. On TC, sometimes there’d only be 10 people at a boss pre-Megaserver, sometimes at prime time there’d be 30-50. On lower populated servers, it’s a completely different story, and I get that – this change is somewhat good for them.
But please, for the love of god, if there’s even one thing that you listen to and actually implement, lower the player cap on maps before a new map is spawned. I don’t mean the hard player cap of 150 – just make it spawn a new map after, say, 60 people have spawned into the zone. It leaves room for guilds to taxi over a lot of people for missions or bosses, and will make the world boss train feel much less overcrowded. This is really, really needed.

I don’t think people are understanding. The only way you can remove runes from karma/WvW/ascended gear is through an upgrade extractor, which is only available for gems.
Converting gems to gold? It amounts to somewhere around 20g per extractor. What rune is even close to 20g? You’re better off buying new runes, but why should people have to waste 60+ gold for a single set when you upgrade to a better one, while people with crafted or dungeon exotics can get their runes back?
This is a real issue, and I do agree it is p2w if they don’t give us a way to remove these runes or sigils. I honestly don’t even care if salvaging only gave the rune and nothing else, and bound the rune – I just want a way to get my runes back. Right now there isn’t a feasible option.
Catorii | Lustre Delacroix | Catorii Desmarais | Synalie
I’m not a fan of their choice to reduce the amount of dailies we can choose from per category. I honestly don’t see why they couldn’t have kept the same amount, but just combined them in the same window or something.
It doesn’t really affect me, as I do both PvE and WvW regularly and don’t mind stepping into WvW to finish a set of dailies, but it does make it more time-consuming than dailies used to be. I think people who only do PvP or only do PvE should be able to stick to those, and not be forced to dabble in an area of the game they don’t enjoy.
Edit: Thanks for the internet I did a search and the hunting lodge in Queensdale looks promising. I’ll head there first next time. Still lots of revivers but at least they appear at a good rate and if lucky can tag one. I’d still like more to choose from though
For Daily Reviver, I usually head to Muridian Waypoint in Metrica Province and go into the building where Fire Ele spawns. There’s always dozens of dead NPCs there, and they die often. Much better than the hunting lodge IMO.

A texture mod that actually changes models would probably be something ANet would ban for. It’s highly exploitable, and I’ve seen something like that go very, very bad in another game I used to play.
Nope, but that’s awesome. xD
A tex-mod only changes what the user(client side) of the mod sees not what others see and was used A LOT and allowed in GW1, so I(just from that) would ASSUME it to be allowed here as well if one was to ever be made and it worked identical to the way it did in GW1.
Perhaps they could place some restrictions, but the game I used to play allowed a mod that would replace models, just like what you’re describing, only for the client. People exploited it and used it to see through walls or gates in guild v guild matches, among other things. It eventually was outlawed, because it allowed for way too many exploits and it was causing a lot of problems.

Spiders are somewhat avoidable in GW2, though. There is the spider guild rush, the spiders blocking the passage to Grenth, a couple of jumping puzzles that have spiders in or near them, and a small handful of hearts that deal with spiders, but beyond that, you can avoid them (and if your friend is not totally committed to 100% map completion, they can skip those hearts/JPs). This is just off the top of my head, so there may be more, but I think most are avoidable.
I play with a serious phobia of deep water, and have no small amount of trouble in the water zones, so I understand where your friend’s coming from. It is possible to limit exposure to spiders, though, if he or she is unable to just push through it for those handful of times interacting with or being around spiders is necessary for events or mapping.

I’m now turning off map chat whenever I’m not in WvW. After seeing a super mature kittenfight in Rata Sum chat pre-reset tonight where someone was calling another person’s kids “tards” and arguing about maturity, I’ve just about had it with the toxic chat.
TC never had crap like this in map, despite it being a large server. In the span of a week and a half, ArenaNet has singlehandedly trashed every server that had a friendly community. Glad at least they think it’s such a great “success.” My guild sure doesn’t.

30-40 people standing near the waypoint waiting for the destroyers-in-the-tunnels event to trigger for Megadestroyer pre.
Someone asks “Is it going to be tough with this few people?”
Wow.
Much facepalm.
So megaserver.
I’d have been happy for it to stay that low, but of course a blob arrived to save the AFK auto-attackers’ day, who then all proceeded to auto-attack him to death, killing him in the lava, and depriving us of Mega’s champ box.
Done with world bosses.
Catorii | Lustre Delacroix | Catorii Desmarais | Synalie
Honestly, at this point I’ve pretty much lost any motivation to do world bosses. That’s previously how I got most of my gold, but it’s the complete opposite of fun to be in a blob of so many people on a boss that I can’t even freaking see the boss, nevermind any tells or AoEs on the ground. Not that seeing tells or AoEs matters much anymore, since bosses don’t live long enough to do much harm.
I miss regularly doing Fire Shaman; now I have no way of knowing when he’s up. I especially liked doing him with very small groups – he’s so much fun with only one or two other people. I miss when Taida Covington could actually kill people if you weren’t careful. Now she doesn’t do kitten. I miss doing temples, of which I have done Dwayna a total of one time since the patch, and none of the other temples. Temples were especially fun with 10 people or less, which, yes, actually did happen on TC sometimes.
Some world bosses were actually challenging with only 10-20 people there. Now they’re just boring blobfests. We have enough blobs in wuv, why did you need to force them on us in PvE too? It’s like you want to reward people for going AFK with auto-attack on, since that’s all the intelligence that’s required to do any WB now.
It’s become a boring lagfest, and map chat is completely toxic. I used to love map chat on TC while doing the WB train – socializing with my server was a major plus to running around killing bosses – and now I can’t even stand to look at it most of the time.
It’s sad that my main activity in the game is now unplayable for me. I guess I’ll have to start running dungeons daily now to make up for the gold I’d be getting from world events.

For some, it may be relatively quick (5 minutes or so), for others, not so much.
‘To transfer to a different world, go to the character selection screen (using F12 or when you first logon) and select the desired world; you will be logged out while the game makes these changes, which might take 5-30 minutes. You can transfer once every seven days at a cost determined by the destination server population.’
You sound a person that’s never actually done a server transfer yourself. So please, unless you have first-hand experience that a server transfer actually took 30 minutes, do not copy and paste the company’s caution messages which don’t actually reflect reality.
The server transfer is done in the blink of an eye and it certainly does not take 30 minutes or even 5 minutes. Click transfer, log off, log back on, done. That is what I and hundreds of other players have experienced.
Uh, actually, for some people 30 minutes would be fast.
My boyfriend had to go through support to get his account fully transferred when we both transferred a few months ago. He couldn’t access it while the transfer was going on, and it took an hour or two to get it sorted, which had to be done manually.
There’s “personal experience” for you. I know it’s happened to other people as well.

No need to buy extra bag slots. Just making a mule character gets you a lot of free storage space (the 20-slot starter bag, and then you can buy or make 15-18 slot bags for the other four slots for cheap).
Technically you could buy extra bag slots on a mule character…but you’d get more for your money by just buying more character slots (80-100 slots free on a brand new character, whereas buying a new bag slot would only be 20 extra slots at most).
Personally, I keep non-account bound stuff in one of two personal guild banks. Account-bound stuff goes on my storage mule.
Catorii | Lustre Delacroix | Catorii Desmarais | Synalie
I agree that guesting is pretty useless now, but free world transfers would create chaos for WvW. The short-term free transfers they did pre-season 2 to certain servers were bad enough.

Does anyone know if this is only an issue with celestial?
The ascended rings that have been reported to have this bug have all been celestial, as far as I’ve seen. It probably has something to do with the fact that they buffed the stats, and apparently forgot to apply the buff to infused rings like uninfused ones.

Most of the people I’ve talked to, including random players, friends and guildies, dislike the megaserver. There is no challenge in game any longer, since there are soooo many people on the maps. Bosses go down in seconds, rather than minutes. Easy way I suppose if 50 people are fighting a Champ Risen Wraith. LOL This game is easy anyway, for pretty much anyone. Now it’s like set on auto-attack and go knit a sweater. Friends/guildies are not placed on the same server, there is alot of party/taxi’ing to do guild events/missions. Gathering is horrendous since every MegaS is different. RP is difficult with trolls, even map chat is beyond annoying. I can’t even imagine what it’s like in EU worlds. I’d rather have overflow, any day of the week. And, it does not bother me if I’m the only one a given map, such as Snowden Drifts. At the least, Anet could exclude the racial cities from Megaserver status.
As I said, in another thread, the reason they went to the mega server is to prevent lag, also. Segmenting the system will introduce more lag and then y’all will be complaining all over again.
A.Net says they are observing and studying what is going on. Let’s just hope you don’t get what you wish for …
And by making people suffer through bosses with 5-10 FPS, that’s helping lag how?
Catorii | Lustre Delacroix | Catorii Desmarais | Synalie
Can we get one PvE map that has banks, crafting stations, black lion ( I dont care if its locked behind another 1000 gems) that is not on the mega server? This, at the very least will help servers keep their identity outside of wvw.
You do – Caledon Forest – Queensdale – any of the lvl 1-15 areas have them (you have 5 of them) – if you use crafting you can get to your bank.
I guess that means you really haven’t looked around and explored.
I guess this means you haven’t bothered to see whether or not those zones are on the megaserver.
Hint: they are.
Catorii | Lustre Delacroix | Catorii Desmarais | Synalie
Something I want added – Account-wide 4 or 5 slot bag that only account-bound CS items can go in, accessible from anywhere. I’d actually buy account bound tools if it didn’t mean I’d have to stow them in my bank, swap, go back to my bank on another character, and pick them back up…then do it all over again if I switch an hour later. I play too many characters regularly for this to be feasible.
Something I want changed – Mob scaling. They need a lot more HP. Same with bosses, as well as maybe slightly harder mechanics, except for Teq, Three-Headed Wurm, and Jormag. Those are all time-consuming as-is and are pretty balanced.

(edited by storiessave.3807)
I can’t see this ever working out unless they figure out a way to drastically cut the population per map, without actually lowering map caps, since that would just exacerbate the guild event problems.
There are just too many people stacked on top of a single boss, too much time in between these bosses since some of them take a whopping 30 seconds to kill, and no option of going to another boss if one you actually don’t like doing is up. Personally, I hate the new SB – it’s the same kitten fight we had, just 10 minutes longer, so it’s boring as kitten. I don’t like doing Ulgoth either.
Before this patch, I’d have skipped those and gone to another boss, since there was usually several happening at once. Now I have no choice. I go to those or sit around for 15-30 minutes while I wait for a boss I actually have an interest in doing.
I could deal with this change though, as inflexible as it is, if it weren’t for the zergs. Playing “ZERG ALL THE THINGS \o/” is not fun, degrades some normally fun boss fights into carebear-difficulty 11111111 spam, and is definitely taxing on FPS.
Catorii | Lustre Delacroix | Catorii Desmarais | Synalie
I miss the community that I actually transferred for.
No longer am I surrounded by friendly Tarnished Toasties…I load into any given map at any given time, and there is nothing but belligerent remarks and bickering going on. What the hell happened to the fun community I came to love? I transferred off my old server so I wouldn’t have to see kitten like this in map chat all the time.
Why even let us transfer if you were going to take the communities we chose away from us? This game isn’t even recognizable right now. Everything has been kittened to hell by the megaserver.
Nice try, but seriously, take it back. >.>

Went to a megadestroyer event tonight.
Pre-patch, I easily had 40-60+ FPS during a world boss fight, even with 30-40+ people there.
Now, I’m lucky if I get above 10 at mega. Still fine on some others, but there is a noticeable FPS drop pretty much everywhere since every kitten boss has 100+ people at it. My computer is pretty decent, so I feel bad for people who are running GW2 on low-end machines. Most bosses are probably completely unplayable for them now.
Not that it wasn’t totally fun sitting at 10 FPS, not ever having to dodge because he barely got any meteor attacks off (afk auto-attacker mode, go?), and not getting a champ box from him since he died in the lava. Oh, and that’s in addition to the constant bickering in map chat about events and bosses and whatever else people feel like picking fights about at that point in time.
Yes, my playtime has definitely been enriched by the implementation of this monstrosity.

Maybe some people would be fine wasting 3-8 hours standing around doing absolutely nothing in a game, but some people just don’t have that time, or, even more miraculously, don’t find it fun to be standing in one spot waiting for an event that probably will never happen.
Point is, people shouldn’t have to no-life it to make it to a Lyssa spawn. I haven’t seen her spawn since the patch, and I’ve been in the zone every day. I’m not in any hurry to get the traits, but I did used to farm her and the other temple bosses daily, and I miss that.
What’s the point of even giving us a choice between paying money or doing an event to get a trait if we’re never going to be able to do the event, anyway?
Catorii | Lustre Delacroix | Catorii Desmarais | Synalie
ArenaNet has to find some incentive for us to visit Orr other than for map completion, now that the megaserver has nerfed everything to hell there. ;D
Catorii | Lustre Delacroix | Catorii Desmarais | Synalie
Follow has been a useful thing in other games, but to be honest, I can’t really see it working here.
One problem it would inevitably cause is in WvW. Put commander on “follow” and you can have a bunch of AFKers or people who hardly do anything, still staying alive because they have an auto-run-to function on.
Right now, the current system discourages people who are AFK or are going to contribute little. If you don’t listen to your commander, and don’t stay near them, you’re going to die in a zerg v zerg scenario. Having an auto-follow feature would pretty much trivialize this.
Catorii | Lustre Delacroix | Catorii Desmarais | Synalie
Apparently they have no problem locking other threads and explaining that they want to read our feedback here, yet they can’t take 2 minutes to post a response in the “feedback” threads that they started.
What’s the point?

Wanted to throw in some support for the RPers of the game. I don’t RP personally, and likely never will, but being on TC, I’ve gotten to where I really enjoy seeing it in map/say chat. It’s sad that a lot of RPers are getting trolled due to being mixed with communities that are unfriendly or downright hostile toward people who RP.
I’m a bit sad that I’m not going to see any more of Brother Drake’s [RPcd] raids in map chat anymore. I found it really entertaining to watch their progress while on the same map, or while doing the same event chains. It added a lot of fun for a while to an otherwise boring event grind.
I really hope they acknowledge the problems the megaserver implementation has caused, including for RP. This game has a huge RP community, and I think it’ll lose a lot of players if no solution is presented.
Catorii | Lustre Delacroix | Catorii Desmarais | Synalie
Normally, I’d agree that people are being a bit harsh on the forums, but that’s true for pretty much any game, at any given time. In this case, however, the outcry in the community is fully warranted. There are major parts of the game severely and negatively affected by the feature patch’s changes. I’ve never seen so many bugs/issues come from a single patch in GW2, and some of them are game-breaking.
This entire thing is a chaotic mess, and every day that ArenaNet declines to give even a quick response to our feedback, the community gets more and more angry. Rightfully so, too, because there are major problems going on, and none of us know if they’re being fixed or if a workaround is being discussed or not.
We’ve had no communication whatsoever on the big issues people have with this patch. That is not typical of ArenaNet – usually they’re pretty on top of things, and update us frequently, but for whatever reason, they are choosing to remain completely silent.
And no, realistically, we can’t expect ArenaNet to fix things overnight. But a simple “Hey, everyone, we’re looking into the ____ issue and trying to come up with a fix for it. We’ll update you as soon as we know something!” would go a long way to cool tempers.

I miss my server. Yes, I can still see people I know in cities, but out in the open world I’m surrounded by strangers.
Actually, cities are all on the megaserver now.
So yeah, we have no server communities anymore. It’s bullkitten that the only way we can interact with our servers now is in WvW, since more than half the people I see on any given map are NOT from my home server.
I got used to seeing familiar faces at temples, world bosses, in cities and map chat all over. Now I’m lucky if I can spot more than maybe 5-10 people from a Tarnished Coast guild, no matter where I am.

I would not want to see how much worse it is for the class now that you don’t get GM traits (and, for that matter, a lot of others, since they’re high-level acquisitions) until 80.
Catorii | Lustre Delacroix | Catorii Desmarais | Synalie
Worst things about megaservers, in my opinion:
1. Guild missions are screwed. I haven’t gotten a chance to do them myself yet since the patch, but I think the responses in this thread are proof enough of how much you messed up in regards to guild events.
2. Servers have no community anymore. I transferred to Tarnished Coast some months ago specifically for the community, and now I’ve lost that. Some other server communities were also friendly, and they’ve lost their sense of community as well. Some servers, notably, have very unfriendly or trollish playerbases. Why did this have to be implemented in cities at all, anyway? Do people seriously have trouble mapping Rata Sum? Are they unable to hit F next to the bank NPC by themselves? It makes no sense.
3. The re-scaling of mobs make map completion on high levels in low level zones, as well as low level zone events, a joke. Geared 80s can one, two, or three-shot mobs in low-to-mid level maps. This makes tagging events for low levels almost impossible (which kind of defeats the purpose of having more people on the map for new players, don’t you think?). I’ve mentioned the horribly underwhelming so-called “buffs” on world bosses in other threads, so I won’t go there, but seriously, there’s no point in low levels trying to do events on low level maps if they can’t get credit.
4. Gathering t6 nodes is much harder now; I really don’t see why every megaserver map has to have different, randomly-placed nodes.
5. Temples are screwed. You heavily nerfed Frostgorge and Queensdale (and no, I didn’t do those regularly – only did QD to level two of my alts and as a side bonus, karma, since I can’t do EoTM), and in the same patch nerfed Temple events, since half the time they don’t even spawn now thanks to defend events. A lot of people farmed temples, especially Grenth/Melandru, for t6 mats. In the case that they do spawn, it’s still heavily nerfed in terms of farming, because there are so many people that you just can’t tag many mobs.
I get that this is a transition period, but the fact is, you guys started these feedback threads, and I could count the number of responses we’ve gotten to all of them combined on one hand. This isn’t like you, ANet, and frankly I’m pretty disappointed.

I was fine for a few days after the April 15th patch, but since Friday, I haven’t been able to stay on for more than 10 minutes at a time…and that’s putting it generously. It was so bad yesterday, I was getting chain DCed – start lagging out for a few minutes, get kicked to character select with this error, log back in, fine for maybe a minute, and then trolololag again. I gave up after disconnecting 8-9 times in less than 30 minutes.
It’s been two days of this. It’s not my internet. Everything else works fine. I can log right back in as soon as it DCs me, and sometimes it’s okay for a few minutes, but other times it’ll start DCing me again almost as soon as I load back in.

This change is why I can’t switch out my runes in my current WvW set on my necro :s. I’m planning on making ascended armor soon, but the armor I currently have is all temple/WvW gear, and thus unsalvageable. Could’ve re-used Melandru runes before, but I’m sure as kitten not wasting them on gear now when I’ll just have to re-buy them when I craft ascended gear.
I really hope they come up with an alternative for this, like making them salvageable, at least with the BLSKs, but it looks so far to be a cash grab to get people to buy extractors. Trouble is, the extractors aren’t worth the cost, which is way more than buying the runes outright, so no one’s going to use them unless they’re seriously obtuse. Still not nice to be out 60+ gold for the more expensive runes, for people that already have them in karma/ascended/WvW gear.

There are some people that deliberately troll by doing the defend events, knowing full well that it will keep the boss from spawning. The fact that it’s even possible for trolls to stop world bosses from spawning – something most of us would like to happen, as many used to kill them daily pre-patch – is a serious flaw in the way they rolled this megaserver thing out.
I don’t have a problem with Orr being more populated. I do have a problem with temple event chains never happening. These defend events should not keep temple bosses from spawning. This is utter bullkitten.
Catorii | Lustre Delacroix | Catorii Desmarais | Synalie
1. Camp the zone and occasionally ask in map chat if any temple events are going up.
2. Hope there aren’t any trolls on the map who deliberately do the defend events, knowing it will keep the bosses from spawning.
Pretty much it, aside from people mentioning it in guild chat. Timers won’t work on temple events anymore, and they don’t occur at specific times now.

I agree with the OP. Bosses are a joke now even with their “buffs” because we have an extra 100+ players at every event. Only boss that actually takes a while is SB…and he’s so boring I pretty much just skip him most of the time now.
Fire Elemental actually used to kill people since he took a while to down with ~30 people. Now he goes down before anyone can even lose much, if any, health.
These “buffs” are a joke. A lot of us were worried that you guys wouldn’t buff the mobs enough to make up for the huge amounts of players you were adding to every map, and apparently we were right. Every event is easymode now.
At least I guess I can go to Orr if I want more difficulty…oh, no, wait, megaserver zergs are there too, so a place that used to be mildly difficult is now Hello Kitty Online: Undead Edition.
Seriously, ANet, what were you thinking when you decided on the scaling your event “buffs” would take?

So, the shoulder armor on my female charr seems to be completely bugged since the patch. It no longer appears/disappears when you check or uncheck that box in the equipment window, dyes do nothing to it (have to dye the helmet to get the shoulders to change color, which was not the case before), and no matter what I do, the skin won’t change. Even if I equip completely different shoulders, it still shows me wearing the skin I’ve had since before the patch.
I can change shoulder skins just fine on my mesmer (sylvari), so I’m not sure if race has to do with it, but the original skin was the Dry Bones shoulderpiece from the WvW equipment vendor.

Any idea how to fix this? I haven’t heard of anyone else having this bug, so I’m not sure if it’s just me.
Note: Right before posting this, I tried removing my shoulder armor (still showed me wearing it) and completely logging out. It still shows me with that skin on after restarting the client. I literally can’t get rid of it. Is it just this skin that’s bugged?

I have mixed feelings on the scheduled bosses. Some of them don’t happen often enough, and some – temples, fire shaman – aren’t even in the rotation, so there’s no way to know when or if they’ll be up. Temples are often not spawning because the pre-events are being done with so many people on the maps, and that’s a big problem. A lot of people farmed Balthazar/Melandru/Grenth multiple times a day before this patch – now they’re screwed. Either the Temple events don’t start, or they’re zerged down in a matter of seconds. Some of the bosses were trivial before, but this is just pathetic.
A big problem is the world boss buffs. A few of them – such as Jormag – were actually buffed nicely. Even with a zerg of 100+ people, he doesn’t go down quick. I like this change, though with the addition of so many champ spawns, half the zerg now just farms champs and the rest of us are left to slowly wittle down the HP of the ice barriers – but it’s okay, those champ farmers still get credit when we get the wall down.
Despite the champ annoyance with Jormag, I do like the ramped up difficulty. It’s more fun, even if it results in a lot more death. Other world bosses, however, were “buffed” and go down faster than before, or are just total snoozefests.
Shadow Behemoth was “buffed” to have more HP and…be harder? Great, nice, whatever, but he’s still easy as all kitten and all people need to do is spam 1 on portals every 20 seconds, then spam 1 on him again. It’s the same as we had before – not hard at all – just takes longer. That’s supposed to be an improvement?
Great Jungle Wurm, I like the extra difficulty to him, except his HP is way too low for such a large increase in players. He goes down in a minute or less. Sure, he’s harder now, more people end up dying, but his tiny HP pool means that this fight is pretty anticlimactic. The patch notes said that he gets more health from the veterans that spawn now when he eats them….except he never GETS to eat them, because he goes down before they even get to him, with no one killing them.
Fire Elemental, I didn’t notice anything tbh. The pre-event takes just as long as ever, but is even more trivial now, because there’s 2-3x the amount of players there used to be. Sure, some champs or elites spawn, but they go down in like half a second. Not exactly difficult. And as for Fire Elemental itself? The one time I’ve done it since this patch, he went down in literally 30-40 seconds. He was harder before. Now with the “buff” he’s easymode on easymode with Hello Kitty difficulty piled on top.
Golem, all you’ve done is basically added AoE indicators to make him even more easymode. If you knew what you were doing, you could dodge his knockbacks easily before. Again, feels like you lowered him to Hello Kitty difficulty. At least his HP scaling is still steep enough that he doesn’t go down in a whopping minute or so.
Shatterer…this is still laughably easy. He goes down in 5 minutes or less now; before Megaserver was implemented, he’d usually take at least 8, sometimes close to the full 15 on some servers. Great, he heals more now, but that health he heals disappears in about 10 seconds when he becomes attackable again.
Really, most bosses didn’t get buffed enough. No, I wasn’t expecting Tequatl-level difficulty, nor should they be that hard, but a world boss going down in a minute, or just being one boring, long fight where you don’t even have to move because you take no damage whatsoever just isn’t fun. I was hoping Shadow Behemoth, in particular, would get more challenging, but he’s not. He takes longer, but he’s just as harmless as he was before.
Furthermore, on all the bosses, you still have pre-events going for them very often. Really, why leave these pre-events in, just to confuse players that think they’re going to spawn a world boss? People keep doing Maw pre-events and getting angry when he doesn’t spawn. Same with Karka Queen. Some of these event chains don’t even make sense to be doing if they’re not going to result in a boss spawn.
Overall, I’m pretty disappointed. I do world bosses daily, and have for months now. I used to enjoy temples the most, but now I miss them the few times they are up, mainly because they go down so kitten quick, and there’s no way to tell that they’re even active unless a guildmate tells you – who, of course, have to actually run to the area that the event chain starts in to see if any temples are active. I hate this change the most because of temples – I never get to do them now. With the exception of Jormag, world bosses have become even more of a joke than they previously were.
I really hope you guys look at how much you buffed certain bosses’ hp, and the mechanics of others (looking at you, SB). Really not enjoying the Megaserver’s changes to world bosses and temples right now.

Uh, it was already like that before. If you hit 25 stacks of that debuff, you die. No downed state, just dead. This wasn’t changed in the patch.

It stacks on normal mobs too. Seems to affect any channeled auto-attack. Mesmers are noticing it with GS #1 as well. Only way to stop it is to constantly break your auto-attacks so they’ll stop stacking the damage numbers.

- Illusionary Warden: We made some changes for Illusionary Warden for 4/15. Can you guys elaborate on how its behaving now?
I haven’t tested it extensively on mobs yet (will do that today), but I can say that it is still completely bugged for objects, and other mesmers have had trouble getting it to attack anything at all (including mobs).
Tested on Jormag crystals last night – iSwordsman attacked right away as usual, iWarden spawned and did absolutely nothing on any crystal. Inanimate objects had nearly a 100% fail rate with iWarden before this patch, for me at least – seems like that has not changed at all.

Yeah, definitely not fixed. It’s still bugging just like it has been.

Yeah. This is driving me crazy.

Switching to DPS runes for DPS builds is nice and all, but this still leaves support bunker staff eles screwed. 25% less boon duration is quite a lot when it comes to all the buffs we can put out.
Pretty disappointed with this.

It’s not on any PvE maps right now. Just Heart of the Mists. So we have the same problems with partying and full maps that we’ve had. Nothing’s changed.
