If we ask for a refund will the armor be rolled back to what we transmuted it from?
This. This is all I am really concerned about. I would like my original skins that I transmuted over (which I paid for in the cash shop also as they were the pheonex light set) and I would like a gold refund, not a gem refund. There’s a lack of information on how this is going to work, RB.
And what can we expect for the skin fix?
Probably just some dumpy looking karma skins with some fire on it. Whole thing was just really lazy on their part and I can only expect more laziness to follow. Not something I’m interested in keeping.
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
Ok so. My problem is this.
I bought previously the phoenex light armour skin. However, when I saw the new set in the gem store I bought it and skinned over the pheonex set thinking it would be a permanent thing.
Now what if the changes you make to this set are distasteful to me? I lose my phoenex set and this set? And what do I get for refund? The Gems? I would much prefer I got my gold that I spent on the gems back as I have no desire to buy anything else in the cash store after this.

Interesting. Dub and haviz make a thread with a terrible build and they both get removed and yet this one stays. The Druid build was demonstrated by the Lupicus video to work while this has zero credibility. Gotta love this forum.
It wasn’t removed because it was a bad build. It was removed because of the trolling. Stop trying to martyr yourself.
Videos were provided and it was an extensive guide, more so than most. If that was trolling then they better get busy and remove many of the other builds from the forums which are nowhere near as detailed or well demonstrated..

I HAVE AN IDEA. GROUNDBREAKING!!!
Why not just have both options that you can toggle between in your hero panel?
Old style and new glow.
Whoop de do, everybody’s happy.

I don’t even have T3 on my human character and yet this seems wrong to me :/
Still, gonna cave in and buy it I guess. gg anet. -_-

-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
Why so much hate for necros :‘( ? I know they don’t bring much, but if you’re just aiming for a good run and not a record breaking speedrun, it works just fine, no ?
I mean if you play a power necro with spoj’s dungeon build, everything is good and well, right?
Basically. They are fine in full zerk but. Why? Why take them over any other class?
That’s really it for me and many people who have multiple classes. Why play your weakest card if you don’t have to?
Some may say ‘because it’s fun’ which I could almost agree with in full zerk, but the problem I have with is that a dungeon involves not just you but 4 other people.
When I am in a party of other people, I want to perform my best because I don’t just impact myself anymore, my choices impact others too.
I look forward to the day that Arena Net adds some group utility to the necro that will make it competitive with the other classes in dungeons. This may not happen for a good while considering they pander to the PvPers and have no idea (the poor souls) how to split skills.

As Nike has stated, ’ “PvX” is a good sign the build isn’t good for any game modes despite being applicable to all of them.’
The re-trait merchant is just a waypoint away. You’re not converting anyone except those who are lazy.
I suppose it could be worse, you could be promoting it as a dungeon guide.
PvX is a sign that the build can be modified for any game mode. I did that because there have been a few times people have asked me about converting a build into it’s WvW form or PvE form.
At which point (for dungeons) I would pull the whole thing apart and start over. I don’t mean that to be insulting either. It’s just definitely not a good idea in dungeons.
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
pls no necro.

Holy Hell, that vid, chicks play this game?!
Hi there.
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
Yeah, I know, it’s so hard to open the panel again and click OK. I feel ya. The op should die in a fire. You know what? We should have an option to “bind” the pugs to our party so they can’t leave it once they’re in.
Now, swifty, you tell me where do you find the patience to go all through that ceremony everytime you have to pug…? I don’t even have the strength to kick anymore, we just carry them while having some fun, talking to each other. We call it charity runs.
Someone like this joins. Doesn’t read the description. I kick him. He rejoins. He does this about 5 times and starts cussing at us lol. People like that, no way am I carrying them lol.
I admit, I didn’t originally have the patience to sift through all this, but recently I have been dealing with really, really, really poor players.
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
(edited by swiftpaw.6397)
I just start my own party and advertise for zerker only, then have them ping gear their gear. Kick about 6 or so people on average before I get decent ones but works out well.
If you want to have a decent team OP, you need to take the initiative and make it yourself. Yes, unfortunately you will have to gearcheck and be quite stringent. It’s not fun, but that’s the reality at this point in time.
Personally I am for the filter because it stops people spam joining my party after I have kicked them multiple times because they disregard my advertisement. If changes need to be made, make it so you cannot join the same party more than 3 or 4 times within a certain time period or something.
Joining different parties and then leaving should probably not be affected at all.
I sympathize with the OP, I too have joined multiple parties and left as soon as I see something like ‘I run a full support spec!’ or ’I’m a condi pressure build, or load in and see staff eles and mace guards.

-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
Yeah its pretty disgusting what some people reply with. Dont know any so called “elitists” who resort to such low insults. Ive seen a few lose their temper slightly and insult the odd person (myself included). But nothing quite so personal or even that offensive.
The problem is that while we look at the game from a logical perspective, cutting out our feelings in favor of reasoning and testing, those who oppose us are personally invested in their opinions. They take it as a personal affront on themselves if we disagree with what they believe. When they really should not.
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
Rangers don’t kill people. People kill people.
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
Annoy pugs?
Easy,
just ping zerker stat gear with scholar runes on. Most of them hate it.I always have a good laugh when my buddies and I need to fill a spot or two in our group; we’ll explicitly write “Berserker only – ### paths” and will get people who either 1) refuse to ping gear and call us mean words or 2) ping gear that is clearly not berserker and get mad because they think berserker is too squishy.
Please read, fellow GW2 dungeon runners!
Yep. Same here. Although for number 2.) They react surprised and angry ‘What do you mean you want me to ping me gear? I didn’t join for this elitist kitten! How dare you!’ and then they leave.
Way to read description XD

May I ask the name of this ingenious play?I thought it was the 10th Circle of Hell in Dante’s Inferno.
DISCLAIMER: This is a joke, meant to be humorous and non-offensive while also complimenting the player’s prose. Hopefully I don’t get infracted for it. (Crosses fingers!)
I feel like I need a disclaimer in my forum signature these days XD
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
I am way too generous.
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
Yup I sold all the clerics and I am thankful for all your help I purchased the zerkers armor cause I might as well learn how to work with that. My amulets and accessories are either zerkers or soldiers so I think Im good.
No problem. It’s nice to see someone who even had something invested in an idea completely drop it at the realization it’s not a good idea. All too often we see people not only on the forums, but in game, cling to the first thing they were told and refuse to let it go even when it is detrimental to themselves and their team.
If you need any help with things, dungeons and etc please don’t hesitate to let me know ingame or here. An adaptable player will go very far.

What’s hilarious is all the people who “appreciate” your (dungeon elitists) help, guides and snarky comments would get kicked in less than 10 seconds from your runs without even a comment.
You’re making wrong assumptions.
And yet, thread-after-thread of people making light of kicking “bads” because they were the wrong profession, using the wrong weapons, had the wrong buffs, etc.
Once again, I am not pointing to you in particular, nor a few others who comment with helpful answers, just the general sense of this board.
The tower of nightmares is a metaphor for this place some days, and those Elite Red-names?
Guess who they are.
It’s strange that you would come here to an appreciation thread to flame us.
Seems a little ironic given that you say we’re the ones causing issues.

May I ask the name of this ingenious play?
The Taming of the Pug.
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
this thread makes me wanna go in pug groups and teach everybody though i doubt that would be received well ^^
anyway thx for reminding me of the people who aren’t kittens and actually appreciate advice.
You think it’s gonna be all rainbows and lollipops.
You pop on in and enter the dungeon, you see a staff mesmer with corruption sigil who tells you he doesn’t have a focus.
’That’s ok, just take feedback please’
you tell him, a smile on your face. This guy is gonna learn something about reflects today! Oh it’s exciting!
The guardian loads in, sword shield. Well he’s halfway there isn’t he. Halfway to a decent weapon setup despite his life sigil and Strength in Numbers popping up to indicate he’s probably AH.
’Hey bud, do you have a focus instead of that shield?
‘What? No. And that reminds me, I only use this sword for roleplaying. Sorry for the inconvenience.’
He swaps it to a mace. Ok well, that’s only 2 players so far, lets see what we get next.
A longbow ranger enters the scene. He has a polar bear and an arctodus. He isn’t your typical brown bear guy. He’s special. Like a snowflake. How else do you know? His other set is axe/torch and he’s running traps. What do you even say at this point? How do you even.. Well. You remain calm and ask him if he has a sword. That’s a negative however.
And then *drumroll please *
The crème de la crème of warrior’s loads in. Full cleric’s, shoutheals and a rifle. He proceeds to rifle attack every mob from the backline.
‘Excuse me warrior, do you happen to have a melee weapon, perhaps an axe?’
You ask politely.
Oh you’ve done it now, all 4 of these players have been interrogated by you, the elitist scummy. Did you ever stop to think about how you made them feel? I don’t think so. Heartless.
The warrior keyboard turns all the way around to face you.
’I’ll have you know that rifle is the highest single target dps in the game.’
‘He asked me about my build too! He has no right!’ The ranger chimes in.
The Mesmer.. ‘He… he tried to make me use a focus’ *shudders *
‘kitten YOU’RE ALL RUINING MY IMMERSION!’ screams the guardian.
In unison they chant.
‘We, play. how. we. want!’ We play how we want! We play how we want!’
The ranger passes out torches to everyone and they chase you out of the dungeon. As you almost reach the exit you trip up on the ranger’s spike trap. You fall. A single tear peels down your face as you accept your fate. You end up carrying the entire team for an hour or so and soloing the end boss.
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
It’s cool OP, swing over by the dungeon area sometime and check out how many dev posts are there compared to the pvp section.
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
We are the hated ones. We are the people who have kitten hurled at them and smeared across our names and yet we endure. We receive death threats and insults, reddit downvotes and mindnumbingly stupid arguments. And yet we endure to create a better place for all.
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
I’m sorry that you have already wasted your money on clerics but do yourself a favor and just get rid of all of it. Put it in your bank and save it for WvW. It’s awful for dungeons. You can earn that money back quickly once you get your zerk going and run a couple tours. I can make around 30-50g a night, sometimes more if I get decent drop luck. I would recommend Knight’s gear if you are really uncomfortable but cleric’s is just going to slow you and your team down.
Here is the guide: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/guardian/DPS-Guardian-Guide-for-PVE-1/first#post3223755
I hope that this is helpful to you. I really am tired of the misinformation spread around because it can result in this- A player who doesn’t know any better busting out all his money on something that will only hold him back.
okay so I got zerkers and the trinkets and etc I think I should be good
I wish you all the best :P

We may be the ones spending the most time in GW2, but it’s those casuals spending the most amount of money in GW2.
Can’t blame Anet for favoring them, just wish we were given a chance. ( X Gems for a new unlockable dungeon anyone?)
You are so full of kittening truth today.
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
No problem <3 We are here to serve the community.
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
I dont know why does this subforum even exists.
It’s not like Anet has a Dungeon team anymore.
This is purely so we can vent our frustation from the carebears in-game and get infractions in the process so they never have to see us again.
Pretty much this.
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
I did absolutely nothing of worth.
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
A set of beserker’s gear because your group doesn’t need a tank.

-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-

just ping zerker stat gear with scholar runes on. Most of them hate it.
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
Aside from obals guide all guardian stickys are trash, especially that burning guide.
*shudders * Not the burning build.. You can’t make me…
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
When you hit the dungeons try out this guide:
Not sure if this is the ‘2h gs’ build you are referring to.
Always keep your gear up to date as you level, especially if you intend on jumping into places like Ascalon catacombs early on (lvl 35)
Power/precision and (once you have the levels) critical damage will be of great use to you. Most content for open world leveling is exceptionally easy and you won’t really need any vitality or toughness. Having the dps will help you power through hearts quicker and having a 1h sword on along with your GS will make running around easier as you can leap and blink from mob to mob. You can also take along with you ‘retreat’ and ‘Save yourselves!’ to keep your swiftness going as you run around and alternate between GS and staff for the swiftness symbol.
When/if you do intend on hitting pve dungeons try starting off with knights gear, then when you understand the fights ease yourself into full berserker for maximum effectiveness.

-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
It’s pretty common for the “harder” dungeon paths…
I mean look at the LFG page for arah….
A guild group of 2 people get to the last boss, kick everyone else and then sell the path completion for 20g a person.
How do you know any of those teams kicked anyone? Since people can easily duo arah p2 in 20-30 minutes I would be surprised if ANY of those people kicked pugs. Perhaps before you make an accusation you should have some evidence, no?
If two people can duo the supposedly hardest content in the game then this game has much bigger issues.
Also I have all the evidence I need since it’s happened to me before.
They can. If you don’t like something this doesn’t automatically = something wrong with the game.
Also just because it happened to you does not mean that every time someone says it happened to them then that is what must have happened.
People also have a convenient way of forgetting details, like why they were kicked.

I would suggest PM’ing forums@arena.net with the video as proof that it’s a legitimate build and that the threads weren’t intended to upset.
I’m legitimately disgusted that the thread was removed, with ANet thinking they can play thought police despite the fact that the Lupicus test is probably heavier testing than what 99% of pve builds on the class forums are put through.
Why is it that we decide to have fun just once with a quirky/bad build with haviz’s hilarious pseudo-RP and explanations in his OP and the thread gets removed for upsetting people, but bads can poke fun at us with their poor “zomg zerker!” comments and nothing ever happens to them? Isn’t that said with intention to upset too?
I hate this forum so much.
….don’t mind me, I’m just bitter about the complete sham that the moderation is on this forum and needed to vent a little.
Sad truth.
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
Clearly a viable and serious build. Here is the evidence. Now mods need only watch it and restore the thread to its former glory. (And sticky it)
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
I made the legendary because it’s pretty. I soon realized it was a huge waste of money for me as all I do is dungeons all day. This weapon constantly gets in the way.
- If you want to knock something, often times it’s a single mob- Use a hammer and have all the power and utility that a hammer provides.
- If you want to move multiple mobs, use a greatsword. Bam. Easy.
You throw away dps because you could be using a focus, and you throw away a blind/condi rem focus 4. If you need to stop projectiles you risk bumping mobs unless you position yourself and waste time when you could easily drop a WoR that will last longer and reflect projectiles.
LR:DR if you think shield is great in dungeons, try hammer. More prot and more control. I need not even mention RoW and hammer 3.
