Yes, it’s easy with ranger’s reflect mechanic. Skill needs a serious nerf, it’s always abused and is really OP. People just up and use it and BAM, the boss is dead with 0 effort.

It’s ok, just let people know your intentions when advertising a party. Also be aware that if this is your first time, it’s gonna feel like getting dropped in the deep end of a pool.

However with a knowledgeable party you should be fine. I advise you gear yourself out in the best available to you, rare (when lv 35) or green (when lv 30) armors/accessories/weapons so that you have an easier time of it and are contributing a fair amount to the run. Berserker’s gear is what’s popular and more efficient at lvl 80, but since you are only lvl 30, you will only have access to two stat gear, I recommend something with power and precision. Make sure you also have all your available traits invested into something.

Keep in mind- AC story mode is recommended 30 but ac Explorable mode is 35.. Do a couple SM’s before you hit the exp.

I got some kind of limit/temp ban? from using lfg function last night when advertising this:

I hurt people’s feelers and they weren’t even in my party or affected by me..

hey maybe my character will hallucinate so hard a new dungeon will get made.. but then it turns out it’s all a lie and we get something kitten like the new TAkittenaetherblade path.

They will give all these super cool amazing buffs to things on ele that wont really matter, like more heals from staff or some crap, then quietly slip a nerf to FGS in without saying anything. Then refuse to comment on it for a few months, then admit they changed it and it is now working as intended in it’s nerfed state. Oh and add some more living story/open world content as compensation.

I do not care about scholar runes , I use ruby orbs 4eva . It’s nearly impossible to stay above 90% hp 100% of the time . I can’t count
how many times people ping their scholar runes and end up
laying on the ground . Wasted money is wasted.

On a further note, don’t use main hand axe in dungeons. The dps is exceptionally poor.

When using sword, you don’t really have to change it. If things shortly get dangerous at melee, axe/axe actually is a good option to move back a bit, throwing Path of Scars for burst and then using Whirling Defense for AoE damage, vulnerability stacks and projectile reflect. After that you switch to sword…you don’t really use the main hand axe anyways.

And what use else on 2nd set? Longbow too sleepy, Shortbow too condition heavy, Greatsword not really a method to avoid melee as you just could stay at Sword. Now you can either choose offhand dagger, axe or torch together with axe. Of course you pick offhand-axe and don’t have another choice as axe on main.

I don’t need to swap to mid range, even in a crap pug. Answer is simple, run sword/axe for the second set. Correct, all other weapons are poor, axe main hand included. In fact you can even run sword/dagger for second set, for the evade that breaks pounce animation instantly for a fight like alpha, and as extra evades that mean you can stay in melee without the need for midrange if you are in a group that lacks the dps to kill things in a timely manner.

In other words, just run sword on both sets.

I think ranger gives a lot of solo options if set up properly. I usually use bears for their toughness, and I generally can walk into a situation without worrying about the number of mobs. I do need to move quite a bit to stay alive and thin the numbers, but it still takes less than 1-2 minutes to clear 6 or 7 mobs even if there is a veteran (killing the adds first of course). The other advantage is not having to stress about adds. Plus I have solo’d several champions as a ranger, since my pets are so tough, just takes a bit longer than I have have patience for sometimes Champion rewards should scale if you solo it, yes this is primarily a group game, but I don’t always have time to play when my friends do.

Regardless, the key advantage to a ranger is to be a heartless b**ch and leave your pet to take the heat and aggro the mobs while you save your own kitten and run like hell. Also helps when you have a tough fight to snag a skill point or similar for map completion. Saved me from a few champion encounters where I realized there was no chance with the setup I had at the moment and, in each case, my pet died for me to live on R.I.P Fido!!!

The guard refused to swap to melee , constantly died and ended up causing the party to wipe. By the way if you twist the logic a bit, you could even say that skipping him is a valid option since there are two quest objectives (p2, not even sure if/how it works for other paths now) and you’re choosing to trick your way around the guard rather than fighting him.

Well basically Brazil and I went and had some shenanigans and each got bans. His related to becoming a catfish biologist, mine relates to some random comment of mine about rifle dps being better than hundred blades which is clearly exceptionally offensive. In the end he’s on a 300 seconds limit between posts and I’m on 600. Worth it though I assure you ;D
