Endless amount of burning, three allies and really fast fight. Though, this build is really hard to master, just one stunbreaker, no stability and rather hard to manage condition removal.

I have created a guild whose main goal is to run dungeons. We are currently looking for players who will form the core of the guild. These players will form the foundation of community and knowledge base for the guild. No experience is required, as all who decide to become core members will be running, including myself, all dungeon paths to familiarize ourselves with the path of every dungeon.

No you do not have to be active 100%, as I myself am in school now and one of our members is in a doctoral program of study. I realize that not everyone can commit 10+ hours a week and because of this, the guild is no rep required, but you may or may not rep in dungeon runs. All influence gained if you rep will go to buffs we can have during our runs. If you rep during runs, all the more benefits will be yours, if not then I won’t think bad about you for not doing so.

Yes, they do still do SE. You will find groups of varying decency however. Some groups will consist of people stuck in a mindset of ‘tank everything’ and it will be a slow and painful process whereas others will be packing dps and get you a smoother run. It’s a game of pug roulette in which often times you get shot in the head. The most popular paths are 1 and 3, as number 2 is lengthy and undesirable. There once was a website but it has since lost traction due to the integration of the (awful) lfg tool system in game. You can access this by going to your ‘Y’ (friends list) and tabbing down to the search area.

I don’t use any of minis for one simple reason. I am required to have an invisible bag on me because otherwise every-time I do a ‘deposit all’ it’s gone back into my bank. Not worth the inconvenience and price of a 20 slot invisi bag. -.-

I got 300 seconds without a warning. As in, just randomly one day, without even getting an infraction or a ban prior to that for at least a couple of weeks. Then, because I got banned, and I got banned while I was banned, they bumped it up to 900. 900 seconds is stupidly long.. I could live with the 300, but Jesus Christ, the 900 is bugging me out…

I too understand the value of dodging nothing. When you dodge it increases your run speed for 0.5 of a second and that could mean the difference between getting zerged down or not. Can’t believe you dungeon hardcores sometimes, don’t understand the implications of WvW.

There is a way to critique a build without the negative impact to the thread that I’m seeing here. For a bunch of people that think everyone should play the correct way, it’s pretty ironic that the positive critique being provided is suggesting to use spirit weapon and burning builds. Come off it already. The intent is clear.

The only negative impact to this thread are the reactions to the criticisms. People are taking it personally and getting offended when there is no reason to do so.

There is nothing offensive about criticism of a build. Criticism is what makes a build. It’s what improves it. How do you think builds are optimized? Through constant criticism and changes. If OP and yourself, do not want to accept these things, then the build will remain subpar and not something that should be recommended to the community.

Keep telling yourself that. You’re forgetting to mention how it almost completely negates 90% of her damage.

They’ve fixed things like this before, for very obvious reasons.

It’s not the same thing. She doesn’t use skills because they have minimum ranges, which is intended game design. This remains true for every boss in the game. Skills have a minimum and a maximum range, this isn’t difficult to understand.

They fixed things which involved the bosses actually not being able to attack people, which is not the case for stacking for spider queen.

Either way, it’s an issue with more than the one boss.
For many, it simply takes the fun out of the dungeons.

Feel free to not stack, make your own groups stating so. It’s not an issue, it’s intentional game design.

‘Play how you want’, as they say.

Generally, people will be as cheap as they possibly can.
Good luck “playing how you want” when 99% of the playerbase wants to abuse mechanics.

You keep saying it’s an abuse of mechanics when it’s very clearly not. What it is however, is an abuse of how you want the fight to be.

Just because you want a fight a certain way, does not mean ’it’s not part of intentional game design’, when it’s not how you want it.

You will have a much easier time in full melee on Guardian than you will on Ranger given that you use your virtues and utilities correctly. Typical melee guard build atm is sword/focus main set, great sword offset for burst and pulls. The great thing about both these sets are that they give blindness to mobs, along with the extra blind spam you can dish out through the radiance trait line.

It is not particuarly hard to play full melee guardian given the correct build, and if you are used to ranger, guardian will feel like a walk in the park. You have many ‘get out of jail free cards’ as I like to call them. In other words- Aegis, focus blocks and Renewed focus, along with a 3 condi cleanse virtue of resolve when traited and a channeled block on heal.

He uses the frost leap as one of his first skills. Have someone walk in with a block or evade ready.. Or just dodge it.. Then pull it out of the room to your party who then has I think roughly 32 seconds to kill it (WITH MELEE) before it uses the ice attack again. If your pug has crap dps and can’t kill it in that time.. then you may as well leave then and there, not worth wasting time on the rest of the run. If your pug is ranging it.. another good time to leave.

You can also allow spire to run into the room and tank the first hit but that kitten takes forever so screw her.
