I may make a video of me doing dungeon tour with random pugs. People have told me I should.. It will just be me yelling at the screen every couple seconds because of all the things that make me angry, but hey, if it makes people happy then it’s well worth the rage :O

But for real, on the Zadorojny path (forgot which that was. p3?) is reflect very important? I’m sitting on a full SE set and got through it nigh effortlessly several times without a reflect… but now that you mention it, that probably would have made the part where you break the APC a bit easier…

I don’t think reflects are a huge deal for the most part but they do help to get through the few silver Dredge after the first boss and for getting people across the bridge if you don’t have enough Thieves/Mezzies.

P1 on the other hand is infinitely easier with reflects for the champ golems, who can be very dangerous even when pulled in by the ones or twos.

Oh my that was ages ago, but yeh I was referring to path 1.
Path 3, reflects are used on only a few select places and when I speed run with a mesmer in party, his feedback covers some of it.

AH hasn’t changed. The meta has changed. ( I am referring to dungeon content)
In other words, players got good at the game and realized they don’t need AH anymore and can reliably run dps and make the run much faster and easier on the team. Once you take off the AH training wheels, a whole new world opens up for you in your trait lines, in regards to supporting your team through high dps, longer reflect uptimes (mitigation) and condi removal for the team.

I have two guardians. One that runs dps traits along with pure of voice line, and another which drops pure of voice completely in favor of an even more dps centric build. Both have consecration cooldown reductions for wall of reflection which is the bread and butter for many encounters guards deal with in dungeons atm. The higher deeps build I take in dungeons where minimal support (in regards to condi removal) is required, eg arah, coe,etc.. the other for everything else. Both are full zerks with scholar runes. This can maintain a team of entirely zerk players. No AH required.

I’ll be honest. Game has gone to complete kitten. It’s wasted away and Anet doesn’t give a kitten. It’s turned into a huge money spin for NCsoft to milk casuals. However. For me personally, I just like hanging around like minded people. The game… I would have quit long ago, but I stick around for the people. I like ‘elitist’ scumbaggery, it’s fun to me. min/maxxing.. it’s the only thing left to do. All there is left is pushing at the envelope, because this game doesn’t give any challenges, it doesn’t give any real new content, that’s something, that we, that players have to unfortunately do for ourselves. If this game was offline, and instead of other players, you had heros that you could modify builds on (kind of like GW1) and there were no forums, how many people would still be trying to make records then? I really wonder. There is a social and competitive aspect which is one of the only things holding this dieing dungeon community together. It’s pathetic, but to hell with it, I’m at least having fun.. even if I have to make it for myself.

GW2 lfg needs a gear and build check system, similar to what exists in spvp. We can already mouse over who is in the party, now we just need to mouse over what they are doing so we can avoid these ‘shout healers’ and etc. It would also motivate players to step up their game instead of expecting to be carried.

I got one shot by a rabbit in open world. I really think this needs some serious revamping.

Dont even get me started on my apothecary ranger. When I put the healing spring down I carry my whole team because of my superior healing power and regen.

There’s been a running joke in our mumble for weeks that the only way they can make dungeons more monotonous is if they put dredge in them.

Personally I said, “I bet they make a dredge dragon that spews out HotW end-bosses that have to be killed in order to break through it’s 25 stack invulnerability shield in an underwater environment!”… I am hoping we don’t see this next.

Solution- Upon entering the dungeon every player must wear full celestial/cleric’s/PVT gear mandatory and have 14 traits points dedicated to each line.

Oh that dragon requires some fancy footwork. The player actually has to move around the map and even hit 2,3,4 and even higher number skills. And.. heaven forbid.. they may even have to… to… dodge something. O_O

There is nothing more skillful in this game than setting your bear/bow ranger to auto attack at a dragon boss and going afk. /anet logic.

A really skilled player is on their necromancer and runs a ‘fear (Mad Queen™)’ build.

I’ve had a kicking policy on pug guardians for months now. No virtue use, clerics/pvt idiots or *drum roll * condition guardian with scepter/torch main set.
