I just left a fotm 48 tonight. There were a gear checking group so I figured, ok this is probably going to be decent, they’re all organized and aren’t taking any leeches… Little did I know, the guy who was gear checking was in a full magic find set, along with his guildmate, and the other two who had joined before me were in full PVT. We got moss man done painfully slow ( they wanted to range it).. then on the ice fractal they wiped 4 times on the ice elemental.. I kept ressing them but they just kept dieing.. -_- Then cliffside hit.. I don’t think I have ever seen a team fail on the kittening leg seal but they somehow managed. I saw the luck sigils so I asked why and they guy’s excuse was ‘Well Anet isn’t stopping me from running MF, they really should do something about it.. oh well.’ And then he pinged his full traveler set. At that point I facepalmed, apologized for wasting their time, (even though they really just wasted mine, I decided to be polite) and left. Couple mins later I get a host of whispers about how I’m a selfish elitist, and that they are blocking me. Well good because I just realized I forgot to block them so I never have the carry them again. Being the only one in zerker gear, I was the last one alive every time they wiped, go figure.. Yeh I didn’t get kicked but tbh I wish they had kicked me asap so I didn’t have to waste my kitten time. It was one of those times where I wish I could have kicked the magic finder and his buddy but couldn’t because I was outnumbered by poor players.

Lesson of the night- Open the instance yourself. I preach it all the time but then forget to do it. Epic fail. XD

Yes I am aware, and it’s why I wrote up my rant to begin with. And again, it is to encourage Anet to not bow down to religious nutter demands.

I too would love to send them my encouragement also, but I know in this world, that there is nothing they can do. Perhaps if the majority of their customers lived in a more rational country, there would be a better chance. However, as it stands we are dealing with ’murica. With this one nut though, they wont be removing this staff from the game, however, they will continue to censor and ban people who make any religious references in their character names or forum posts.

Why should a explorable dungeon path be made accessible to all? Explorable dungeons were meant to be the challenging content in the game for organized groups to replace the content that was traditionally in the realm of raids in other mmorpgs. You do a disservice to yourself and the community at large by expecting the standard to be lowered. Especially since it has been proven that it is not impossible to complete.

Hey while you’re at it, make it so everyone does the same amount of damage for every skill on every profession, has the same armour rating and crit chance/crit damage and remove conditions entirely!

Without another reliable source of might in your party that gets you up to 25 stacks-Yes.
Otherwise- No because the stacks are short in duration and can override better, more longer lasting stacks from others. tbh though I find it a kittening hassle and a half and just swap out GS for staff in that instance, then camp sword/focus whole fight.

Interestingly enough, I don’t think getting kicked out of dungeons by spot sellers happened until the casuals started crying about all of the spot selling. That probably gave the evil people the idea to pug and kick people at the end. I’m really not convinced that it even happens, mainly because it’s always a poorly written story in a forum post or a screenshot that proves nothing followed by loads of complaining about spot selling. Get over it, there is nothing wrong with selling spots.

It also gave the bad players an excuse to explain why they got kicked. I’m sure many a time they were kicked for an entirely different reason… hmm I wonder what that could be…

But I was using my misfire wolf and apothecary set and everything!

I run Sword+focus/Greatsword with 10/25/0/10/25 or something similar I’m too tired to check. Do some pretty nice numbers.

Also, your build isn’t good at all for roaming/zerging. You have the healing well for condition removal, that’s it. You will die to any condition based player in less than a second.

I just deleted my knight’s set entirely the other night.. Was using it for 48 but then realized if my party is failing so hard that I need to run knight’s I may as well just leave. Running the full dps setup above now for fotm 48. I found most of the places you mention where tank gear could be acceptable, I use crowd control measures/dodging and endurance food to mitigate the damage and still get away with full zerks.

I love it. Best map in the game.

imo I hate them both, I just hate the ghostly one slightly less.
