Actually it’s painfully easy to notice, so long as there’s a moment where he’s the only one attacking a given mob.

That’s not true because the damage someone does is a perception. To make that statement, you need a quantitative way to measure a certain performance level for a player in a specific encounter AND determine what fraction of their performance is due to gear vs. their own skill. You, nor anyone else, has access to a tool like that. If a player is not performing to your standard, it could be a number of factors, gear being only ONE.

Furthermore … how many dungeons are there were a team has the opportunity to observe a single person fighting a mob with everyone else just sitting back and telling him how much they suck because they are making assumptions about his gear? Don’t bother … that’s a rhetorical question.

… Or I can look at one member of his class and weapon damaging a mob compared to watching him attack and damage a mob and go “Oh, hey, he’s like twice as slow.”

Or, as aforementioned, changing up my gear without changing my build and noticing that my damage was plummeting as a result.

And how many dungeons are there with that opportunity? A few times in TA, AC Story, SE p3…

I always notice it too. It’s really easy to tell given I’ve just hit the 1000 mark for dungeons run. I don’t even have to watch for the guy to jump on a single mob and painfully try to kill it.. I just know the speed at which the run should be going and then look around and see, especially when the rest of my members are friends or guild members who’s gear I already am aware of. I then ask them to ping or tell me what it is they are running, and it’s either PVT or MF, although I have seen some clerics guys too. I haven’t been wrong yet.

All they really need to do to make the matchmaking fair is remove the elo rating from solo queue and the leaderboards and just make matches truly random. That way anyone could get matched with anyone. Right now what we have is like a team arena lite version.

That would be great as an unrated queue – if only we had the population to support that many different queues.

Perhaps they should remove the leaderboard from solo arena entirely and make it unrated and leave team arena as the only mode with leaderboards.

I would support that.

1g for a dungeon run is WAY too much for ANY of the dungeons given their level of difficulty. The rewards you get from them currently are vastly out of proportion with the time and effort you put into them. 3g from Arah P1, which is literally the easiest dungeon in the game? Really?

Stop whining about not being able to farm COF and actually get good at the game. I’m making way more dosh since the last patch and all I’ve been doing is akitteng in various instances. And I was already making enough before to fund multiple legendaries.

People selling dungeon runs was a big problem before this patch, and now with more people running Arah (because of increased rewards), it’s becoming an even bigger problem.

Group leaders take a buddy, abuse 3 other people to get to the last boss, then kick the other 3 people to sell those spots at a profit.

Of course, there is no way to stop this happening, but a hindrance to those doing it is at least required – possibly make it so a new player cannot join a dungeon after a certain point (In Arah, I suggest after GL).

Until something official is done, I will encourage players to join these runs and leave without payment to discourage such behavior.

Now that I’ve read all the uhm.. information.. in this op.

I encourage you to mind your own business. This has 0 effect on you and yet here you are advocating people go out of their way to troll someone who’s likely doing an honest trade. There is someone I know who solos this and sells the spots, other times a full party will do it and then leave just the leader in and take a cut of the money afterwards.

It probably wasn’t you. It was one of my comments in one of the TA threads that got infracted because I told someone they could possibly be what I am always called- an elitist scumbag. There appears to be a double standard because I am called this all the time and no one cares, I say it once in sarcasm( and in good humor I had thought ;P) and people lose their minds. Probably because I have my own policy of never flagging anyone, no matter how bad the insults to me are, because well.. it’s the internet. About 2 mins after the infraction all the threads got merged. I’ll say this though, we had fun. It was glorious fun. But I knew it would come to an end XD

My main point however is this: The dungeon forums go 100% ignored until something/someone gets flagged and mods are forced to investigate. Today was a great example.

The other day I went in with my ele and tried to kill it with full ele group. it was too hard. even with condition gear which does way more dmg than zerker.

This is really a ridiculous path, I agree wholeheartedly.

I feel this really needs a hard nerf.

I was there with you, this dungeon was so redicuous hard that I quit DNT, because they killed itg too easy and joined a pug to see if thier builds were better. Playing how you want should kill it way faster.

Colesy nooooooo. Never ever bring up Hundred Blades in a DPS conversation, it’s so noobish.

Also I didn’t even notice until today, but I am literally always mashing 1, even on a Warrior. I think I had issues with foes stepping out of auto attack range, or not being able to consistently cleave through mobs if the selected target goes for a wander/my auto target picks the furthest thing away.
It’s really not that bad, I play for a few hours on end and don’t even notice it, but then again, not everyone has Aussie muscles of steel
