Especially in Europe, where he virtually 6 different languages??. This is a mess!This. If you don’t fix this quickly, you will lose players in droves.
I was in Mists after patch and it was a total chaos with people talking in french, spanish and german all over the place.
PLEASE, PLEASE enforce a more strict separation between FR/DE/SPanish language servers and international servers else this will be a total fail.

I was very confused with the new trait system. It needs some additional polish to be ready for general use….
sPVP and PVE skins got merged. There is only one “The Hunter” skin now. Ask me i have the skin unlocked from sPVP but never owned the pve version.

He was chosen to lead pact forces to victory against Zaithan. That was also his Wyld Hunt.
He lead one campaign, why would he have anything to do with anything else?
Considering you need to explore all wvw maps to get gift of exploration anyway, you can get some wvw ranks along the way.
I don’t really see a problem. I barely did any wvw and i have a rank higher than 14 ….
I started the game because of a free trial weekened and i have a few friends who did the same. I think it’s a good way to get people to buy the game. Especially those not sure if the game is for them or not.

Well among other things, there are quite a bunch of elitist jerks that prefer only 80s in dungeons, thus shutting players out of dungeons and FOTM.
I’d never, ever play with anyone under lvl 80 in FOTM, if you would you haven’t played fractals alot.
You’re kinda late.
Battle for LA was a very fast free way to lvl up, in addition you could buy Tomes of Knowledge to boost your lvl even faster. Took me less than a week to reach lvl 80 on my ele. The event ends tomorrow though.
Another free way to lvl up was via spvp and buying Tomes of Knowledge with glory. However glory is getting removed from spvp as a reward you can earn tomorrow.
That leaves you with WvW
I really hope and alternative route to get precursors without farming will come soon.
Buying a precursor on TP doeasn’t feel really legendary to me.
Just hope they don’t come up with something ridiculous like 350 X lodestones/giant eyes, etc to make it, or something like that.

They haven’t prolonged a single living story to date, what makes you think they will do it now just because some players didn’t get an achievement?
The core problem is that for a lot of the content in GW2, it’s only interesting the first time you’ve played it. And due to the way the world and story progress, levelling characters starts out pretty diverse, but narrows down to the same outcome every time.
After playing 3 characters through the story and getting world map completion on at least one, chances are you will have seen 99% of what the game has to offer, and subsequent playthroughs will just be repetition of the same content.And as other people have mentioned, post level 30, the PvE experience feels like unnecessary padding. You know how your character will play, but you have to grind out 50 more levels with nothing more interesting than a trait point per ding to keep your attention. The game is in desperate need of an editor-in-chief to trim the fat.
I think they would have been better off setting maximum level to 30 then balancing the remainder of the maps around that level. That way, instead of only having one truly top level zone on release, more than two-thirds would have been “end game content”.

I have 2 characters at 80 and 3 between 50-60 ….. i don’t even plan to play other 3 until they release another battle for LA like event for fast leveling.
I’m grateful A.net has given us so many opportunities to get Tomes of Knowledge. Hope it becomes a regular thing.

The moment they implement trinity system i’m outa here.
I played enough of that kitten in the last 10 years to get seriously sick of it.
If you so desire a trinity system MMO go play another mmo there’s plenty to choose from. Don’t try to change the ONLY non trinity mainstream mmo into just another MMO.
The zone may very well become the center of Mordremoth’s corruption and overrun by all sorts of his minions.

I somehow doubt they will go and change such a big system design choice.
They might consolidate low populated servers together but that’s about it.

I know it’s not your fault for playing on a low populated server but you have to understand why the system has been put in place and also see the opposite side of the coin too.
Many servers you and many others from low populated servers try to guest to are already very heavily populated.
Every guester on those server means 1 slot less for home server players. On Desolation main maps are so full of guesters that it get’s silly during prime time.
And you would take away even that small space reserved exlcusively for home server users.
The world doeas not revolve only around you and your friend sadly.
For PvE there’s Black Gate in NA and Desolation in EU as the most organized servers.
No idea about WvW, sorry
It’s bad enough that guesters are filling the zones for popular events (Tequatl, Wurm) on some servers almost to the full 2 hours before the event starts, now you also want to join other server groups to get a taxi into main zones?
Leave home server users at least something of an advantage. The situation is bad enough as it is.
I don’t know what you expect of a.net.
It’s just people being… people. Whatever they do there will always be people who will find a way to troll and annoy others, there’s nothing on earth you can do. just ignore em and report if it gets out of hand.
Any sort of automatic troll/leecher kick system would probably cause more problems than it would solve.

BTW, they cranked down the hp on the knights last knight, so there is at least a snowball’s chance of getting this now :/
Not untill they fix it.
Granted i haven’t done it after recent patch but last time we managed it under 6 minutes noone got the achievement.
I suggest you inform yourself wich servers in your time zone are the most populated and choose the one that has the most players in category you want to play (WvW, PvE, sPVP)
Other than that, the servers are far from empty.
Universal MMO forum rule that must be take in account is that angry, unsatified players are more likely to come here and post their feedback while satisfied players play the game and don’t care.
While it might seem that the sky is falling and 90% of players hate the game the whole picture looks totally different with majority of players playing the game happily while a tiny majority is crying on the forums.
Failure of Spider achieve is unbelievable.

And that’s why it doesn’t work for you. You are actually one of the players that make it impossible for others to get the achievment by insisting to range the spider, which is wrong. You are doing exactly what you are complaining about, you are not listening to players who have done it and know what to do.
Ranging the spider is what make it spit stuff at players to coocon them.
You should have learned that in Kessex Hill, where the achievement was to get cocooned. So you should know, if you paid attention to the mechanics of the spider. It’s the same boss as before, just a different achievement. It can’t be easier than that.
Everyone goes in melee range (those who can CC it), the spider will cocoon no one and it’s down in about a minute or so.
Yet i have seen players at 1-2m range getting cocooned and almost instantly eaten. not sure your tactics is the best.
At range you at least have plenty of time to break people out of cocoon.
I managed to get the achievement on the only run i was present at where noone melee’d.

Please remove the achievement or change it to something else.
I participated in over 30 Knights and Scarlet kills yet I still miss this achievement despite being present at under 6 minuted slayings.
This is the only achievement i still miss.

I like it. Finally seeing LA trashed is and having a new non boring way to level up alts.
Initial release bugs were frustrating but it’s ok now.

We have won every single out of 15-20 Knights + Scarlet events i was present on durring the weekend on Guestolation server …

I was playing the whole weekend, mostly on Desolation main map. it’s safe to say i was present on around 15 – 20 Knight and Scarlet kills. Not a single attempt was under 6 minutes. One or two knights maybe all three no chance.
There wasn’t a single atempt where all knight were capped at 50 players right from the start.
If the achievement was changed to a more realistic number it wouldn’t hurt imo.
It’s called artistic freedom.
Not everything is a subtle hint. :P
Disconnect almost when Scarlet was defeated, then three times no attunement circles or only 1 color. Thanks for wasting 3 hours of my life.
Seriously dissapointed.
Killed all 3 knigts on Desolation main … bugged, no circles at all appreared. Relogged, got to overflow, all 3 knights down again … only blue circled at all 3 locations.
Seems it only worked the first time the event was spawned.
I’ve played games all my life alot of that time was spent playing MMO’s but i haven’t seen a game where RNG was as weird as here.
Something definitely seems strange. At start when i started to play the game i was getting extremely rare stuff left and right, 30g exoric here, multiple rare 25-30g minis, heloween recipe worth 300g. I played randomly and the stuff just came flowing in like i was a magnet for good stuff.
I had over 300 gold a month after starting the game before i was even lvl 80, when a friend of mine who started on the same day as me had 15g. We both played the for the same amount of time and allways did stuff together. Luck has since turned and he’s now has more money than me. :p
One other thing. I do tons of stuff each day and salvage rares for ectos at the end of the day.
Some days i get so many ectos it’s unbeliavable and aonther day i get so few it’s depressing. it’s always … either tons of ectos or virtually none, as if your account was flagged for a whole days as either lucky or unlucky.

I hope they have a final burnt down version of the map ready for the aftermanth. It would be silly if same wooden structures still burn 1 year later.
5 deldrimor ingots for a consumable 1 shot item? Does the person who made this ridiculous recipie even play the game?

If they really permanently removed LA convenience just to bring it back as a premium feature it might me make think what game i plan to spend my time in the future more carrefully. I know they need to make money and all, but i won’t get milked.
So far i’ve abandoned all MMO’s that tryed to milk me or gave me the feeling of getting milked. I’ll do the same to GW2 if they go that route.
Shame on you ArenaNet you just long a huge chunk of respect i had for you.

I’m not really the person to do world bosses like a madman but i managed to gather over 2k dragonite ore by now, i don’t really see the issue. if you want dragonite ore do some Wb’s occasionally.
Well either give it some utility and keep the low damage or boost the damage signifficantly.
How i knew someone who has no idea what the topic is about would come in and litter it.
The boost to axe offhand axe #5 skill would in no way make a warrior more powerful it would just make a offhand weapon considered by vast majority to be useless viable.
As it stands you can just press axe auto attack and do better damage that does cleave damage and axe offhand #5 attack is a dps loss if used.

Warrior Axe offhand number 5 skill Whirling Axe currently does way lower damage than the axe primary auto attack skill making it worse even if you melee 5 enemies at once.
In sPVP the skill has allready recieved a 50% damage boost wich is an indication the devs are aware how lackluster the skill is.
Can we please get the damage buffed in PvE so it’s at least in line with axe auto attack?

It would be so amazigly great if essences of luck could be automatically applied when you get them. It’s annoying to click 500 times every day when you clean out your inventory. :P

I’m not claiming it does more damage, it can however in right situations reach monsters in a 360 degree radius. Very useful when you’re surrounded from all sides and don’t have the time for positioning to hit them all with auto attack .
Useful in fights like Mossman, the fight with multiple champs in uncategorized fractal from top of my head.
In any case it works for me better than mace offhand so i’ll stick with it.
I’m speaking only for myself and i’m not arguing that meta build isn’t THE most optimal build on paper. Unfortunately it just doesn’t work for me in high lvl fractals. I have a much better performance all around with axe offhand compared to mace. Different things work for different people.
It’s funny tho, i keep seing more and more axe/axe warriors in fractals recently. I guess they must all be stupid kitten using non optimal kittened builds.
Two axe/axe warriors can keep vul stacks on a boss at 23 – 25 without much hassle., and i’ve had the pleaure of having more axe/axe warrior companions in recent PUG fractals.
Can’t see what makes mace #4 any better in that case.
Meta buils is so boring i was literaly falling asleep playing it. Burst oriented axe/axe + GS build i use now is so much more fun it’s unbeliavable.

I too have replaced mace offhand with an axe recently and find it much better suited for high level fractals compared to mace, especially for PUG groups i do 99% of the time..
I find it funny how the only thing people mention is how kitten whirling axe dmg is compared to axe auto attack but they all forget that you can do 360 degree damage while moving and dodging. Used in right situation it does amazing damage. It also pretty much instantly fills your adrenalin bar, great for burst builds.
