You’ve only got 4!! I’ve got a soccer team that’s hoping to beat the holographic knights in this year’s Zenleto’s Mini League.

Players give up on these kinds of events on my server after only a few days, plus its harder being an Aussie player for these large events. Where am I supposed to do it? A lower server? I guest to get into an overflow since generally the people there are more likely to want to do the main event. I don’t leech or AFK so if I ever do get onto the main servers (BG and TC generally) then I’m contributing to the cause. Which is more than can be said for some of the natives.

I thought the entire point of this game was to play how you want to play or at least that’s what people on these forums who consistently defend GW2 say.

I am in favor of this because it allows people who have NO interest in farming the same boring events over and over a different way to get the same thing.

Play how you want to get what you want within the structure of the game. Its really pretty simple.

I never knew I could get to HoM. Or the Hom, or whatever. I’m going to have to pay it a visit when I log in. And maybe get GW1 so I can put something in it.

I’m always in those shoes. I very rarely get into a game when its released. With this one I missed the first Halloween and Wintersday, plus all the loveliness of the first Ascended pieces being introduced. There’s plenty of stuff coming for the future. If the game is good enough then I’ll play whatever is dished up.

Yes, I do agree with you that the LS was not what I was hoping for, for one single reason: replayability new players cannot go back and play past LS content, if I wasn’t playing since release I would’ve never picked up the game for this reason alone.

Does this mean traditional (emphasis on traditional here) expansions is the way to go ? NO

Why wouldn’t you though? What exactly have people missed out on that everyone else would still be doing now? Molten Facility is the only thing I can think of, everything else (in my opinion) was fine as temporary content.

I identified 98 dyes in one hit the other day (was going to sell them and should have…). If they introduce anything like this then I’m out of here.

Well, I do it for the fun and xp but the loot is pretty kitten good too.

The Harathi camp chain. Excellent chain with a world boss right at the end.

Maybe I jumped the gun a little. The first parts of the chain are easy enough on your own but it gets progressively harder. By then people would have jumped though. Still no zerg until the final boss.

Sometimes I do. When I’m really tired and shouldn’t be playing I’m forever missing basic things and dying easily. Then I feel like I need someone to keep me up or to do the heavy lifting. Seriously.

But its also when I realise how nicely self-sufficient GW2 professions are so overall I don’t really miss it at all.

Yay, she made omnomberry cookies! I’d love t o see the recipe!

It’s not particularly innovative, but this is the (longish) recipe:

• 3/4 cup (1.5 sticks to 170g) unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
• 3/4 cup (150g) dark brown sugar
• 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar
• 1 large egg, at room temperature
• 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
• 2 teaspoons cornstarch (aka cornflour)
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste, I tend to think 1/2 is a bit much)
• 3/4 cup (135g) white chocolate chips
• 1/4 cup (50g) dried cranberries
• 1/4 cup (50g) dried cherries
• 1/4 cup (50g) dried blueberries (I tend to eyeball my fruits)

Beat the butter for 1 minute on medium speed until completely smooth and creamy. Add the brown sugar and granulated sugar and mix on medium speed until fluffy and light in color. Mix in egg and vanilla. Scrape down the sides and bottom of the bowl as needed.

In a separate bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, baking soda and salt. On low speed, slowly mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until combined. The cookie dough will be thick (pry it off the mixer thick). Add the white chocolate chips and dried fruits and mix until evenly distributed.

Heat your oven to 350F and roll dough into 1 tablespoon balls (ish). Bake for 8-9 or until barely golden brown around the edges. The cookies will look very soft when you remove them and probably puffy. You can flatten them with a spoon, but they’ll deflate as they cool, too. Leave them on the cookie tray for ~5 minutes, then put them on a rack to cool the rest of the way.

No Asura is token. They are all useful in the great laboratory of the Eternal Alchemy.

Taimi was introduced a bit late into proceedings for me. I don’t have as much a connection with her as I do with the others. I’d imagine they’ll use her more in the next arc.

A lot more of it will be underwater and it will become the capital of the Quaggan world. The skritt have taken the time to unblock the sewers the Lionguard stopped up and they will have a landside kingdom to match the Quaggies aquatic one.

Nobody will notice this and Ellen will rebuild LA in her own image with Evon’s money.

It is what players are used to and they can’t imagine a world without expansions. If people aren’t liking the LS then I don’t know why they’d think they would like what Anet might put out in an expansion. I don’t mind either way, LS or expansion (or both).

I think nearly any thing can drop it but GM fractals wvw rank up chest and the 2 raid boss mobs i think can drop them more likely though the raid bosses drop ones that have there own effects to them. But over all they are very very very rare drops that or you just craft them your self.

Since your account is still open you’ll still be on the server you ended with last time. I assume, anyway. Keep your eyes open for when one of the current full servers drops from full if you feel the need to transfer.

Do you want WvW? Check the server leaderboard thing for a high ranked server. If you want PvE but need to see other people constantly then aim for one of the higher population servers but three are full now. Guesting is an excellent feature if you need company or need to do high player participation content.

Hmmm…..good question. The last time I had to gather a stack of sp quickly the particular character was nowhere near world completion so he had a ton still to collect. Have you got 100% yet? Otherwise I have nothing that could even remotely be called a good idea.

Champ farm probably. Those skill scrolls drop easily enough from the bags.

I only just found about this CDI from a post in General. As someone with 3 rangers at 80 I’d like to think I have something to offer here but after 52 pages and 12 days it doesn’t look like it now. I’ll just have to see what happens in game.

This current installment we need up to 50 people for each Assault Knight for a chance to go somewhere. I don’t even consider it a zerg now (previous incarnation of the event, yes).

Well… I guested to get the Marionette done. I haven’t logged in since that event except for tonight to find LA trashed and players trolling. I have no idea what I’m suppose to be doing or why and really don’t care. Maybe that’s just unique to Kaineng, the most bitter server in GW2, but that’s how I found it.

I ended up guesting as well during the Marionette and have done for the events since. My server just can’t seem to muster the players at my regular playtime, though. This one is actually pretty straight forward once you’ve had a bit of a go. I saw your comments about your server in another thread so guesting is still going to be your best bet it seems.

OP, I don’t have one and I’ve played longer. I only like two of them and when I get the precursors for them I’ll start but otherwise….meh.

I love the concept of this last stage but obviously the implementation hasn’t gone off as they would have hoped. I can’t even imagine what happened to balls things up. I don’t think I’ve played a single MMO where there hasn’t been some sort of stuff up with an update/expansion. With the every two week thing Anet has going on here (which I don’t mind) it just more obvious.

Zergs are the reason why i, and many others have just stoopped doing the living story.

Standing in a huge mass of players, mashing 1 and getting some loot just isnt fun. It requires no thinking, no movement, no skillfull use of skills, and most of the time you only see floating names because you have to put character limit low, or get really low fps.

Im one of those rare people who play games for fun. I know some people only play for rewards, and just want to feel accomplished, but not everyone is like that.

I wish there were more instances. Im getting sick of 90% of all patches being nothing but zergs.

Then you should try this one while you still can. You don’t have to zerg in it. Small groups or solo works pretty well also.

Why are you guesting to NOT get into the guested server.

Because they didn’t want to end up on their server’s main i guess. I haven’t thought about this when they first posted, but it does make sense. Guesting on a high pop server is a good way to trigger overflows after all, and if your server rarely (or never) gets into overflows on LA, then almost any overflow created within first 5 mins of the event will be better.

Yep, that’s pretty much it. If I can get on an overflow loaded with guys and girls from BG, TC, etc then I have a much better chance of maxxing the event than if I stayed on my own main. Especially during NA off-peak (which is my prime time).

edit: got into TC main for the last run and it was woeful. The overflow I was in the run before was better.

Blame Daoc for the zerging in RvR, er, WvW. Jeez that was fun. Not much was done then either to stop it but not much seems to be done to here for group WvW play.

OP is spot on, and said well what I’ve been trying to articulate since launch. GW2 just doesn’t feel like a Guild Wars game. I just can’t get into it…I go months between play sessions, and then log on for maybe an hour.

Why waste your time? Dude, just give it up. We don’t know you so we aren’t going to think any less of you. Any adult should know when to stop doing something they consider useless.
