I’m personally using my iPad. In other words, I’m writing it all down, IPs and node sites for each day. No apps seem to be worth the time. From my experience in Frostgorge, the shards last less than 24 hours. Even if you get the same IP after a couple of days, it’s likely to have collapsed at some point and the nodes rearranged. Even on one days farming run I’m likely to land on 2 or 3 separate shards.
Do the nodes tend to stay in the same places or move around? I’m trying to get back into making my legendary but this makes it even worse not knowing exactly where there are.
If it’s not accurate, it’s because you’re not inputting the IP address EVERY TIME YOU CHANGE ZONES. ….see every zone change now sends you to a different IP/Server even though they’re all supposed to be on one “Megaserver”. I’d explain it in more detail but you’d basically have to be a server admin to get the gist of it
Discalimer: this may not apply to every zone, because a lot of people are too lazy to bother Documenting a lot of the lower zones every single day. I try to mark all of the Softwood nodes and Rich Iron I find in lower zones for example but some days an hour is all I have so I just don’t bother.
I am well aware of the Megaserver and the IP input of the site. The site isn’t being updated with node locations which makes it inaccurate. Don’t assume and speak down to those you have no idea as to what they do or what their background is in.
What are players using now to track gathering nodes. I was previously using GW2Nodes but its not accurate now.
I haven’t logged in six months and I see that there have been changes to the equipment and outfits in the game. I had items like a torch from a quest and a balloon from a living world story but they are gone now. Any suggestions as to where I can get them?

I purchased the Braham skin set for my Guardian last year but it is not in my skins listing. Is this by design?
It’s been a year guys and there is still not a filter to view only usable items on the TP? How about view armor by type (light, medium, heavy)? This is literally one of the most basic functions of a TP or AH that is already featured in 99% of every other game being played.
The amount of CC’s that you have to deal with on a daily basis in WVW, your Tower Of CC’s and PVE in general need to be adjusted with diminishing returns. If you are chain stunned, rooted, crippled and then blinded in one eye the amount needs to adjust to the prior amounts already applied in the previous 10 seconds. For example, in a 10 second window you are hit with 5 CC’s consecutively. The first CC is usually broken. The second is probably broken. The third, fourth and fifth are not. I am not implying that all CC’s need to be evaded or broken. The times applied from the first to the fifth are lessened in order by a certain amount. It seems to me like the game play suffers when CC’s overpower the game play.
It’s a bloody conspiracy I say! A bloodied conspiracy that conspires to break your cursor button! On a serious note, this is a poor design decision. After so many clicks your mouse clicker will wear out and break off entirely.
I am not concerned about my mouse and the limited amount of clicks that it has in its lifetime. I am more concerned about the bag or chest that was left on the battlefield.
For a year I have been trying to find a good reason that these are even still in existence. I have yet to find any reason at all that our drops are in bags. Small, tiny, hard to see and easy to miss bags. Why not true auto loot?
Nothing groundbreaking coming with this patch, but I will be messing around with the following builds: * note I play PvE
20/10/0/20/20 – Spirit/BM build
30/10/0/20/10 – Signet/Spirit build
Well I am glad that I am not alone when I say that this isn’t groundbreaking for builds. The updates are nice but I only see spirit builds coming from this. That isn’t really significant in my eyes. Am I missing something guys?
How will this affect your builds if all of the changes make it in?
I would like to see a “random que” implementation of when ANET employees get paid. I would be willing to bet that the “random que” would get a lot less random as well as shorter.

At what point does a server reach capacity? I started out and have been on Blackgate from the beginning and have seen a huge population increase since that time. When I joined the server it was virtually “FULL”. Every night the world boss fights are in overflow and WVW has stupid ridiculous waits. When is it full? At what point is the server full or over capacity? I constantly see names and guilds from other servers advertising for membership. I think that the definition of “full” needs to be examined. Just from a general view, Blackgate is over capacity.
The lag in WVW is unacceptable. Get new server engineers or new servers or both! I will send you my network findings if needed. No response is needed from troll players or devs since they virtually never respond or could care less what we think. This is a road maker, use it. Fix this kittene.
Kind of miss it. I liked the dependence on a tank or healer. You were ALWAYS wanted. DPS could be anything.
Been playing since beta and today I found myself in the Jormag overflow. Is this something to look forward to ANET? If so, that is absolutely unacceptable. It’s bad enough to wait two hours for WVW. Now we have to wait…and wait…and wait…just for the OPPORTUNITY to POSSIBLY get a precursor that will most likely not happen anyway? Seriously, fix this now.
Once again the ANET “camera angles” make virtually ever fight a challenge just to see what is going on. Queens Gauntlet is poorly designed and is a waste of time. You should not have to complete any of this garbage to complete the event.
I have two things that in my opinion are in great need of attention. One is super easy to address and the other will be scoffed at but it a really big issue.
1. Looting
Can we please get this game into the 90’s and just not have “loot bags”? In WVW I leave so many bags I wish that there was an achievement for how many times that I have been screwed out of opening them since I died before opening them. This is just asinine. Auto loot should be truly AUTOLOOT. No buttons pressed.
2. Warrior Banners
In groups in PVE and WVW these things are easily the most annoying things to pick up since everyone is SO AFRAID of missing the tiny loot bags (see item 1) that they spam F in hopes that they do not miss a loot bag. Unfortunately, Warriors don’t really care where they leave their garbage for others to pick up. Make these things “ALT F” or something to pick up please.
No. I can literally pay for one but choose not to since ANET should rework the “lottery” system that it has now for precursors. The current system just drives players to gold sellers for precursors as well as legendary’s themselves. ANET has said multiple times that it will not “make a gear treadmill” but isn’t that what it is now for legendary precursors? Instead of gear treadmill though it’s a chest treadmill.
$20 will get you ~40g.
40g = ~45 levels from crafting.
Getting to level 35 isn’t hard.
Items soulbound including legendary. What do you have for that besides 1500 gold?
I know that this has been brought up before in different sections of the forums. I will pay ANET $20 if I can change the appearance of my Charr to a human. Instead of looking at it like a “race change” and having story line “issues”. It’s a game with magic, humans that swing hammers that weigh three times that they do and things can be invisible. This should not be an issue. No resets of any kind, just an appearance change. You can do it ANET, just take the money.

I am having an issue using refined ingredients when cooking. They will not deposit into my collection and I cannot figure out how to include them in the discovery process.
I just realized while trying to finish a JP that the puzzle itself isn’t that difficult. The camera angles are reallllly poor. There is no first person view? If you continue to put these things out ANET, get your stuff together and fix the camera angles.
I know that you have a “rare chance” to get aetherblade weapon skins from drops. I have terrible luck when it comes to drops in this game though. So the only other option is to buy Black Lion keys. That seems just greedy on your part ANET. At the very least you should make it available in another way without the “rare” aka “most likely not going to happen” drops or making it cost 15 gold for 5 keys just for the “rare” chance to most likely not get a drop from a Black Lion chest. With over 106 million dollars in global game sales, not even including micro transactions, you could give the players more options.
I really like the changes. It’s a nice jump off point to make the class shiny.
Hunter’s Shot: This skill no longer applies vulnerability on each hit, but now grants the ranger stealth for 3 seconds.
I especially like this addition. However, the stealth goes away with damage taken or damage given to an enemy. It would be super rad if this was not the case. I have always thought that the Ranger needed some viable stealth and this is the chance ANET. I would reallllly like to see the stealth time extended to 5+ seconds since we lose the ability if damage is taken or given.Thieves don’t have to deal with that so why should Rangers? This could be a really viable escape option other than Lightning Reflexes.
The issue that I have with any stealthed player in WVW is that they take damage but do not show damage taken while stealthed. However the thief can stealth and stay stealthed while taking damage without even being knocked out of stealth momentarily. This is the only MMO that I have ever seen that in practice. There are ways to counter the “loner” dual dagger thief in WVW but it’s just more of an annoyance more than anything. The class isn’t OP but the stealth mechanic is goofy comparatively to other games. It really doesn’t matter what anyone here says though, the thief is the thief. ANET couldn’t care less what we say about it.

Apparently you did offend someone as they reported it, and support agreed after reviewing it. As to that last sentence, there is your problem right there, no one “had it coming”, if you cannot be civil to other players, it’s best to not say anything at all as you have just found out.
No, some people have it coming. If you don’t believe that you live in the fantasy land that you are playing your toon in. Disrespect is returned with disrespect. Civility is a relative term. If ask a question and get disrespectful answers back, you had better believe they will get the same treatment. Whatever though, It doesn’t really matter anyway since the banhammer holder wanted to flex their muscles. 72 hours is just stupid for something like this. 24 hours is sufficient.
I guess that the GM was feeling like a glummy goose yesterday. Or maybe they are abusing their power? 72 hours seems a bit steep either way. I would like a transcript of my “Inappropriate Language” if you don’t mind. I wouldn’t want to offend the ADULTS that play this game. I’m pretty sure that whatever was flagged as inappropriate, the player that it was said to had it coming.
It was like this at release too. Eternal and your home map has the longest wait. Start in one of the others, then when in, que home or eternal if that’s what you were aiming for. Still a long wait, but at least you can do something while you wait… after you wait.
Otherwise play more on weekdays or off hours. Friday starts the match and is usually loaded at peak.
Negative. There isn’t one other MMO that you have to wait like this. ANET needs to make multiple instances or figure something else out. The wait is ridiculous and ANYONE that apologizes for ANET is crazy. Simply make 2 instances of this map and be done with it. There should be minimal wait. Period. I cannot believe that players actually stand up for ANET in this matter. It’s crazy.
The WvW que is absolutely ridiculous. WTF is wrong with you ANET? You have had OVER 120 million in revenue from GW2 yet I have to wait OVER 2 hours for WvW? You wonder why players stop playing? This is why.
Calm down buddy. Population caps are in place to keep things relatively balanced. You don’t want to wait in queue? Then transfer to a lower tier server.

It’s actually fair to have a limit on players in WvW, just like there’s a siege limit. Otherwise you’d have 10,000 people in EB vs 20.
If you want to limit players in certain maps then add a “next available” to the options. Otherwise you have a three hour wait to get into “what ever crap map” that makes people angry enough to post here.
You’re on Blackgate, a tier 2(last I checked) server. They are focused on WvW, what do you expect?
ANET made over 120 MILLION in revenue. What the hell do you think a server costs to operate? There should be ZERO wait. To have culling is lazy and ANY network admin would agree. ANET said “Oh lets filter packets for $$” Look where that lead.
Just to wait to get into WvW is inherently wrong. ANET made OVER 120 MILLION in sales and players have to tolerate waits over an hour? Are you kittening serious? Are you really asking for video of thief play?? I assumed that it was general knowledge that backstab thieves were OP steath. My bad if not. ANET is seriously missing this point aparently. ANET, you do realize that WvW thief stealth is entirely OP? Why should a thief be able to crawl away from a failed attack??? Answer…they should not. There is ZERO penalty for thief bad play. If you play a thief, you can ALWAYS get away.

I played 4 hours WvW on thief today, didn’t notice the 1 more second having any difference. I was still easily winning 1v2 battles, even with the fixed culling(or escaping by chaining stealth, again no problem). However, this 1 second broke pve for me(s/d 30 sa build) great balancing, anet.
LOL so zero thief stealth change. What a phuckin joke. The WvW thief stealth keeps alot of potential WvW players at bay since it is RIDICULOUSLY op. Say what you want..“Spam AOE whatever” you are wrong. The Thief stealth in WvW is inherently wrong. It is OP and requires zero skill in WvW at this point. It is a zero honor class to play and zero skill to rule. I have a level 9 thief that can dominate players in WvW. It’s a joke playing a backstab thief in WvW. If you take ANY damage as a thief in WvW, you should unstealth. If you attack in WvW, you should have a LARGE cool down with that. Thieves are MEANT to be opportunists. Not Predators. That is inherently unfair.
Stealth: The duration of Revealed has been increased to 4 seconds when coming out of stealth via an attack.
So…is this enough? Instead of the Thief being available for attack for 2 seconds, they are available for a whole 4 seconds. Is this acceptable in WvW?
I just got killed and I see a big group of reds running around my corpse… members of both the opposing servers and they aren’t fighting each other. Even worse, some from different servers have the same guild tags.
Made me lose all desire to play WvW… it’s a sad moment for me.

Serious post for the OP: Culling and stealth have both been looked at for the March 26 update and will be changed. From what I understood, they are offering options to turn off culling, allow you to choose how culling is prioritized, and even keeping it the same as it is now.
After being stealthed, you will now receive a debuff called “Revealed,” which will not allow you to stealth again for some time (I’m not sure if they said how long it would last). This disables chain stealths for all classes. and with culling turned off, seeing them should no longer be an issue. Whether or not you will still be able to continue stacking stealth hasn’t been said yet.

Funny? How dare you not take my crusade to remove dodging from the game seriously! What kind of game makes a mechanic that allows you to just up and avoid damage by doing a front/back flip? Last I checked, GW2 was not gymnastics class.
If this is true, I would come back to test it out. Please don’t take my post as “Thieves are uber OP.” The stealth is OP. Most thieves won’t admit or even know this because they don’t see it on their screens. However the person that they are killing will hardly see them at all and that’s it. At this point it’s not even honorable.
Generally speaking if you left the game because of one class a couple months ago, even if the thief was entirely balanced ‘in your eyes’ you would find some new class to quit over.
Generally speaking no. If you want to run solo or with a friend in WvW, the current state of things are poor regarding my post. You will either be killed be an invisible zerg or backstab thieves that you won’t even be able to damage. That is a pretty big deal breaker for me.
So I decided not to log for a few months after getting tired of the WvW situation. The game is really good but the general disregard from ANET regarding the Thief in WvW just made me stop playing. The culling and 1v1 against thieves drove me to that point unfortunately. Has anything changed? I have a commanders tag and three geared characters that I have zero desire to play if things have not changed regarding these issues.
So will the (why in a million years would you block packets) culling update have an effect on the thief issue. You know. The “I’m fighting a player that is stealthed 95% of the time” thing. This is seriously why I stopped playing WvW. I was tired of the thief “No Honor” kills. If this will take care of this specific issue, I will log on so much more compared to taking 45 days off as I have. ANET, take a kittenin hint.
I have taken a month or two off and came back to the game with great anticipation. Unfortunately I was greatly disappointed when I logged back in. Pretty much zero of the glaring issues in WVW were addressed and the pop was realllllly low compared to my last log. Hey ANET, how about reading the forums and taking ques from them. It works for EVE Online, it will work for you.
