Did any of you already collect a present? You can’t get multiple presents by going to overflows, it’s limited to 1/day. I’m getting conflicting info on whether the Mists present is in addition to this, or counts as your 1/day present.
We’ll be doing RANKING ladders in the future. The QP system is used for tournament entry. I’ll talk more about how these systems work together when the new system is ready to be brought on line!

It’s showing you the shortest route to the next story step, but it doesn’t know which gates are usable by your character. Zoom out and you should find another marker over the actual story entrance, or travel to the map where the story step takes place. (Usually down in Orr by the end-game.)
I’m a little confused here. Does this mean that the pop gun will get its pop at some time in the future, or does ‘other’ only apply to new skins that may be released during other events?
We’ll fix pop guns for sure so if you already have one, fear not!
Objective
The goal of Toypocalypse is to protect gift dolyaks and survive malfunctioning toys for 10 rounds.
- Each round has five waves of hostile malfunctioning toys. The UI tracks which round you’re on.
- Toys increase in quantity every two rounds. The amount of toys is tracked in the UI.
- From lowest to highest, the toy quantity levels are:
- Skirmish
- Assault
- Siege
- Onslaught
- Toypocalypse
You fail the activity if any of the following things happen:
- All five gift dolyaks die.
- All five players are dead at the same time.
Weapons
Players can find and use 3 weapons in this activity.
- Toysmasher
- Damages multiple enemies at once.
- Skills allow for some crowd control.
- Your go-to choice for resource gathering.
- Toy Cap Rifle
- Single-target, high-power ranged weapon.
- More damage, but less mobility.
- Toy Repair Gun
- A finesse weapon—not always needed. Proper use is extremely effective.
- Has a steep learning curve. It’s hard to master, but don’t give up.
- Has many uses, so experiment to find what works and what doesn’t.
Defenses
Players can build turrets and walls to defend themselves and the gift dolyaks. Smash buildings and trees to create resource bundles for building defenses. There are 2 resource bundles: wood and snow.
- Wood Bundle
- Builds ballista and catapult turrets.
- Upgrades ballista and catapult turrets.
- Repairs fully upgraded ballista and catapult turrets.
- Snow Bundle
- Builds walls and snowman turrets.
- Upgrades walls and snowman turrets.
- Repairs fully upgraded walls and snowman turrets.
Turrets
Each defensive structure plays a different role. Each defensive structure can be upgraded twice.
- Ballista Turret
- Single target.
- Low damage.
- Rapid-fire.
- Catapult Turret
- High damage.
- AOE.
- Delayed fire.
- Snowman Turret
- Single target.
- Moderate damage.
- Applies chill to targets.
- Walls
- High health.
- Slows advance of enemies.
Misc
Extra tips to help you survive.
- While participating in this activity, you’ll be unable to heal or regenerate health through your own skills. To recover health, you must travel to the map’s center and enter the healing field.
- After each level (every two rounds) a mysterious gift box drops near the center of the map. It contains presents for players.
- After each level (every two rounds) hay appears near the center of the map. It partially heals gift dolyaks.
- Explore the map. You may find other things that will help you survive Toypocalypse.
- After each round, you have a short time to build your defenses. The amount of time decreases as the activity progresses.

Each ring is unique. Anything with the “unique” description on it means that you can only equip one of those things on a character.
The Red Ring of Death is the offensive infusion version of a ring. There is another one with the same stats but with a defensive infusion that you can equip with the Red Ring of Death since it is a different ring.

You can purchase the Digital Deluxe upgrade for both Standard and Digital Editions of Guild Wars 2. To upgrade your account to a Digital Deluxe Edition, follow the steps below.
- Log in to Guild Wars 2.
- Go to the Black Lion Trading Company Gem Store by pressing “O” (the default hot key) or by clicking the lion head icon in the upper left of your screen.
- Select the Upgrades category on the Gem Store home page.
- Select the Digital Deluxe Upgrade item and click Confirm to purchase.
Please note that once your purchase is complete, your account will be upgraded the next time you log in to Guild Wars 2. Once your account is upgraded, you will receive an in-game mail message with your items attached.

We totally understand the frustration that goes along with these episodes of banning. However, understand that Customer Support are the only ones that can help you and your girlfriend and that you need to give them a little bit more of time till your accounts get restored again. You say that the tickets are not 3 days old so we ask you to wait a little bit more. If they go unanswered, then proceed to post the reference number in the sticky on top of the subforum and they will be looked into.

If it’s what I think it is, it should reset when one of two events kicks off or completes nearby. I’m not sure how he gets into his “dead” state, but it’s why the bug is so random (and why we haven’t been able to reproduce it.) It comes and goes.

- The gate to Arah in Cursed Shore will now only be closed when events directly in front of it are active.
I just wanted to “pop” in and say that I understand how important this is to you all, and I agree that the slingshot sounds really cool when it’s fired. Unfortunately, the root of the issue is not just a mere oversight but rather a technical issue that has to do with the differences between these two weapon types. When we discovered the issue we made the determination that it was better to have the pop gun without the pop sound than not have it all.
In this case, I’m sure we want to solve this problem for other cases in the future so I would say chances are very good that this will be fixed. I just can’t say exactly when it will be fixed though. It probably won’t happen before the holiday is over.
Were you in combat while harvesting? That can cause you to receive ruined items.

these are all tickets of separate incidents involving the forums. Does arenanet not currently provide support to forum issues, or is it all handled by the non anet moderators themselves? who do they answer to and why will they or arena net not respond to the tickets opened?

For issues, problems, suggestions, or other topics relating to the Guild Wars 2 Forums, please address your concerns to Forums@Arena.Net. I would highly suggest you not submit multiple tickets. If you wish to complain about something, you can update an existing ticket, but submitting four seems excessive.
actually Gail, ANYTIME you send an email to Forums@arena.net, it opens a support ticket, and the ticket goes unanswered, and the anet employees i reach out to say to send an email to that same address. SO what you are basically telling me… is that if we have an issue with the forums, forget it, since no one at arenanet handles the issues and that any real problems are considered to be simple complaints? I will take your high suggestion into consideration but I am following the directions of yourself and others to send emails to the Forums@arena.net address…. and it opens a support ticket, only to be told not to open said tickets as it is excessive. see the viscous circle of confusion and lack of support? why cant someone just own it, and say that the forums are basically a non supported area and that arena net leaves it to its own devices? would be much better than sending us on wild goose chases with an email address (forums@arena.net) that just goes to a trashcan.
ALSO, most importantly, as pointed out in the initial email, EACH ticket is for separate incidents, so do you suggest I update ONE ticket with multiple problems> or opening a new ticket for each INDIVIDUAL problem?
Yes, the contacts to Forums@Arena.Net do create a ticket, but it’s not the province of this sub-forum to deal with complaints about forum behavior, posts, or moderation.
I will try to find out a more helpful answer, but the directions I’ve given you are expressly intended to get you into the system and beyond that, the resolution is out of my hands.
As far as updating, since they are separate issues, I guess you certainly can update each of the tickets. I believe it may be possible to merge them, but since that’s not my area of expertise — in that I don’t know the preferences of those working on the forum moderation side of things — you may keep them separate, as they were submitted.

About halfway down I post that this is still an issue. We have had, and continue to have dedicated programmers on this issue. We are working on it.
Update: Just completed it succesfully, so I need to know what you might have done differently.
I just spoke with the CS Team Manager, and he confirmed we have people on deck for every day of the holidays. (Well, ok, I’m not sure about Christmas Day itself, but every other day for sure.) We will do our very best to get you back on your compromised account, or do resolve any other issues, as promptly as we can.

Did you talk to them while they were building the path to the next ship? I’ll try to reproduce this (I’ve completed this story step several times) but I’ve seen this pop up occasionally for events/story steps. (Sometimes talking to the NPC will make them abort what they were doing.)

Did you “deposit collectibles” at some point? It will send the miniature to your bank collectibles tab unless you have it in an invisible bag.

EDIT: Also, I just realized there are 3 “Authorized” locations in Korea and China that I can’t unauthorize. Can someone help me with that?
That number isn’t an accurate ticket number. Look for something like this: 12XXXX-XXXXXX.
Secondly, yes, Support can help you by removing the authorization of those unwanted locations, so be sure to mention that in your ticket.

I just had the same thing happen to me as well. Couldn’t log in and kept getting an error. I was even talking to people in mumble in my guild and they were pming the guy that was hacking my account. Sadly on the site it says there is a restoration, however the person ive been talking to via Email said “In regards to missing gold, characters and items, currently we are technically unable to provide restorations or any direct assistance with reclaiming what was lost.” I hope you are having better luck than i am

I have the same problem. It says “defeat the last of the pirates so Demni and tybalt can flee to safety”. I’ve already killed them and then get a cutscene but then what? I’ve tried two times on my sylvari elementalist character and still no good luck. I wont continue to play gw2 until this get fixed, it’s so frustrating.
That’s it, if you got the final scene, you’re done. Note that the objective will update to the next step, but you don’t receive the usual fanfare (and reward) on this step, since it’s a 2-parter.

I’m having the same problem. I get all the way to the point where I’m supposed to drink against “One Drink Drake” and can’t seem to do anything. I can’t pick up a drink or talk to anyone. Everyone just keeps cheering. And, if I try to leave the area, it snaps me right back.
Check your skillbar. You’re automatically switched to drinking game skills, you don’t interact with the drinks on table.

Remember that the Legendary-related achievement involves equipping the item, not just getting it. I think that encourages players to equip, therefore keeping a lot of Legendaries out of the marketplace. Just my perception, but something I wanted to share.

Thank you for giving us an official answer. Unfortunately, I am very disappointed with your answer. I hope the designers will change their stance on this issue. I thought the appeal of legendaries the rigor of acquiring one through playing and mastering many different aspects of the game in addition to acquiring significant in-game wealth, but now they can be purchased merely through mindless farming for a long enough period of time. This is my personal opinion, but legendaries definitely carry less prestige/meaning if they can just be purchased. I am disappointed because I thought this was the designers’ opinion too.
I understand your position. Please do note that the achievement associated with Legendaries is tied to their equipping and not to their obtaining. I think that is rather significant (and a clever thing on the part of the team, in my opinion).
