I think that what happened is the person who had access to your account engaged in bad behavior, probably spamming “Buy cheep GW2 gold at [some stupid RMT site or another].”

Static, did you check your bank? If you were out adventuring, at some point you probably did “Deposit all collectibles” to clean up your bags. This will send your minipets to your collectibles tab in the bank unless you keep them in an invisible bag.

When was this? It was updated recently to fix this bug, so if it’s still happening, I’ll take another look. (Previously, if Forgal got into combat when you reached the mark points in the sewers, he wouldn’t advance the objective.)

I’m unaware of any bugs, the undead waves trigger as you kill each one, so the best I can guess is that an enemy was hanging out somewhere.

I’m looking into this, but I cannot reproduce the issue at all, so it’s a tricky issue. The same trigger that builds the 3rd gangplank also activates the last group of undead, so it shouldn’t be related to the NPCs’ behavior. I’m also not sure why it’s dropping you on the last ship, my best guess is that you might have longer-than-usual load times? The player is teleported to a few different locations during the cutscene to make sure everything loads correctly, and the point on the last ship is one of those teleport points, so it’s aborting the script for some reason. (It teleports the player from ship to ship, basically, until you’re on the lifeboat with the rest of the NPCs.)

As I said earlier, Orr appears to be a bit of a special case, and there is a team specifically looking at the Orr events/base spawns. There’s definitely an issue with overpopulation there, causing enemies to spawn on top of each other. As other people have pointed out, the base times are probably ok in a general sense, but there are situations where we might need to go in and tune the timers. In an open field, for example, 2m is probably ok, since you can kill something and move on, and not see the respawn. If you’re in a cave or around a skill challenge/tough enemy or other spots where you’re likely to hang out after killing something, it can cause you to run into respawning enemies, and have no sense of progress. I’m out of town through the end of the year, but when I get back I’ll look at the hotspots mentioned above. I’m fairly certain that most of the rapid respawns are a matter of perception; as I said, we don’t place enemies with a 10s respawn timer unless it’s a very special case like an event or story step. But I totally agree that we need to continue tuning the numbers in some cases so it’s not as obnoxious.

Jedius, yes, you should do a transfer now. Please note that once you transfer, all your characters are transferred to that server. It is just impossible to have some of them in Shiverpeaks and in Janthir at the same time.

We will keep you informed beforehand, should a change occurs concerning the free transfer per week and/or the guesting feature.

The Customer Support webpage is a very useful site to find information about these matters. I am copying and pasting their instructions in order to upgrade your GW2 into Deluxe:

You can purchase the Digital Deluxe upgrade for both Standard and Digital Editions of Guild Wars 2. To upgrade your account to a Digital Deluxe Edition, follow the steps below.

  • Log in to Guild Wars 2.
  • Go to the Black Lion Trading Company Gem Store by pressing “O” (the default hot key) or by clicking the lion head icon in the upper left of your screen.
  • Select the Upgrades category on the Gem Store home page.
    * Select the Digital Deluxe Upgrade item and click Confirm to purchase.

Please note that once your purchase is complete, your account will be upgraded the next time you log in to Guild Wars 2. Once your account is upgraded, you will receive an in-game mail message with your items attached.

If you require further assistance, please contact support.

Hello everyone.

Lavra is right, we have seen a great number of cases in which the player did not receive their items as they had their in-box quite full; try to delete some messages until you have only four or five and see if your items arrive. Sometimes they need some hours, so be a little bit patient. However, if the time passes and you did not get them, please proceed to open a ticket to Customer Support.

Red Dragon, you should really change your password for a very unique one, never used before, as Morbis says. You could also use the two authenticators system, clic here for more info, in order to add an extra layer to security to your account. We have an Account Issues subforum where this would for more appropriately. In any case, you need to send a ticket to Customer Support as soon as possible in order to report this hacking episode. Follow these instructions so you can provide Support with a thorough report.

Also, Customer Support is able to revert your account to a point prior to the compromise incident as long as the compromise took place on or after December 1, 2012, and if it meets the qualifications of the restoration process: check this page for more information.

We recommend always to use very special and unique passwords and also use the two authenticator systems that we have, in order to add an extra layer of security to your accounts.

It’s a known bug, you don’t NEED to use the tank, there are also mortars you can use. The story objective is actually based on killing X Risen giants, so you don’t need to try and defeat the entire dead army by yourself.

Twitter and Facebook are primarily there to casually engage with community members who may not like the forum format and prefer social networks. The Twitter and Facebook profiles are often used to direct people to customer support and not for soliciting game feedback. Developers do not post on Facebook and Twitter; only community managers manage the Twitter and Facebook profiles. Twitter is often used for emergent status update, such as relaying information when events are unfolding quickly with the game, but most major information (such as update notes) is flowing from the forums.

Developers and community managers do not participate on Reddit on a regular, official basis. The team may have held organized and scheduled AMAs there in the past, but these events are akin to the live chats and interviews we do with fansites and media sites.

The usual suspect is a full mailbox. There’s a limit to how many messages you can have stored, and any new mail will get queued up until you clear out your mailbox by deleting mail.

There was a promotion for buying at Anets website. This one was the place to do the shopping. You won’t get it from other places, if they didn’t offer the same.

What you’re seeing on the card is actually handmade papercraft artwork created by Tsveta Komaticheva, one of our concept artists. A photo was taken of the papercraft artwork and Tsveta did a bit of editing on the photograph to adjust the colors.

ok so i just purchased 50 keys and im still getting a lot of chests with 2 items, and some chests with 2 items and a few copper… hopefully its fixed and i get some more chests sent my way…

The chests are giving three items, as far as all of us know (and have established in testing). The “two items and some coppers” is actually three items, because the coppers count as the third item set.

Im here because not only i got the bug when i opened 200+ chests but i also didnt get any perma item…..

Posting here just for the record. Opened 130 chest on the first day. Got trash. i think the worst is the bags of coins. Whose idea is that? Why would ANYONE want to see 5 silver in a black lion chest?

Thank you. Been opening 3 chests a day for wintersday and had been noticing fairly poor drops but didn’t really observe anything in particular. Was initially wondering how you were planning on reimbursing however it looks like you mentioned it already.

Was REALLY hoping for a self-style kit.

Just to be clear: This isn’t about what you got, but how many. The randomness of the drops isn’t a factor, what happened was that some people only got two items instead of three. And that is what is addressed in today’s distribution.

I bet you got two items in a single stack. That’s how the fix was developed, and it was really carefully coded, so I believe you are ok. It may have looked different — not three panels taken, but two, but one of the two had two items instead of one.

Wow, I just made my head spin. But I hope that explains it for you.

Sure I can tell you what this is about. You see, over the weekend of December 15th, a problem developed where a small number of players who unlocked Black Lion Chests received two rather than the intended three items per chest. The issue was corrected with a build on Monday and all chests are functioning properly now.

To ensure that players get all their chest rewards, we checked to see who opened Black Lion Chests and was affected by this issue during the period in question. We discovered your account during that investigation so we sent you the Black Lion Chests via in-game mail.

Specific note on Orr: we do have some folks looking at those maps in particular, so I expect that a future update will contain some adjustments to the spawn density. Taking a quick look, right now it’s using the 95-120 timer, but I did notice that there are more creatures spawning than there are seperate spawn points, which can cause them to spawn multiple creatures on the same spot.
