As it has already been noted here, no, the Asura are not the fastest race (there´s not such a thing in GW2) although they certainly “look like” being the fastest ones on Tyria, due to their little steps and general animations.

Shagura, from the forums we cannot really speed up the process, if your friend already put a ticket with Customer Support. I see that the incidence is quite recent so I would ask you a little bit more of patience till Customer Support gets back to your friend. In these cases, rest assured that he will receive his account back as soon as they check the logs.

As ShiningSquirrel indicates, if the ticket goes unanswered for three or more days, proceed to post the reference number and a little description inside the stickied thread provided for this.

Parae, I see that the issue is quite recent so your friend needs to wait till Customer Support gets back to her. Rest assured both of you that once they check the logs and see that there is nothing banable there, she will have her account back. But of course you need to wait a little bit until this is sorted out. If the ticket goes unanswered for three or more days, then follow Loli Ruri´s link and your incidence will be taken as a priority.

It sounds like this is a different problem from the one that was occurring previously and is (somehow) related to being on an EU server.

To help our programmers, I’d recommend creating a shortcut to the game and then running it with the -diag argument in the target line and posting the resulting text here as an attachment. You can see an example of how to do this in the attached image. I’ll pass these along for further investigation.

Hm. I tried switching servers and trying those maps, but I’m not seeing the same problem.
When you get stuck on this loading screen, does the client go unresponsive (you need to close it via Task Manager)? There was an issue with loading screens a while back, and I’m wondering if it’s the same thing.

Well now I’m getting all sorts of connection bugs, and can’t even log in. Though when it does work I still can’t load, or the load screen times out and gives me a connection error.

What is the exact error code you’re getting? It may help us determine whether this is a server or client error.

I see that the incidence is quite new, from yesterday, so it is still a little bit early to get an answer from Customer Support. There is a sticky for old tickets (three days and older) that have gone unanswered, where I would ask you to post your reference number once you have been waiting those three days. For the time being, please, remain a little bit patient till Customer Support gets back to you.

However, do not build your hopes up as although very unfortunate, the mistake was a human one and not a product of an internal error or bug inside the game.

Yes, there was indeed a trial period for friends during the Last Shores event in November. At the moment we are not holding trial invitations or versions and honestly I do not know when they will be up again, if they are ever again. In any case we will keep you informed beforehand, should a trial period arrives to GW2.

I was banned 2 days ago for “Inappropriate language”
The ban was for 72 hours.
Question 1: IF there is a profanity filter, what could I have possibly said that promoted a ban.
Question 2: If I did in fact say something, why did I not get some kind of warning, or any notification, besides a THREE day ban.
Question 3: Why was no detailed proof/extra info on my offense given? To this day i still do not know what I did wrong.

I have posted in the support forum page, with no response after 3 days, so I came here.
The ban has 8 hours left.

1. Profanity filter does not give you a license to use any language you want.
2. Your warning was the accaptable use policy you should have read before making your account. No other warnings are given for any offense.
3. “proof” is useally never given.

FYI, there are some posters here in the forums who have an axe to grind with support. Take what any poster execpt the official anet reps say with a grain of salt.

If you want to see it in official parlance, click my name and search for the many other posts I have made explaining that the fact the game has a filter doesn’t mean that you can swear or use offensive names. I just posted about this five minutes ago, and have posted about this virtually every day since beta.

Players are not automatically suspended because they are reported. A player is only suspended if a review by a support agent — usually more than one — confirms that the chat was offensive.

  • The fact the game has a chat filter does not give anyone a “License to Swear.”
  • We don’t waste our resources on tracking down players and giving individual warnings because the warnings are given in the Rules of Conduct, the Naming Policy, and the User Agreement. See our Legal Documentations Section for more information, and please do read the Conduct Breaches and Outcomes document in that section for a clear explanation of our policies.
  • Issuing a warning — as discovered in other games — is a huge timesink in that the person who is warned invariably protests, argues, and wants to negotiate a removal of the warning.
  • The rules apply to everyone, regardless of a person’s position in the community. Solo player, guild leader, PvPer, guild member, PvEer – the rules apply to all.

While players do try to grief one another by submitting reports of offensive chat, it is only after a review and confirmation of the offense that the suspension is given.

I can’t help but notice that people whose accounts fit the parallels of RMT workers are posting in this thread.

Are people flagged and suspended in error? Yes, and we’re deeply sorry when that happens, and we’ll take measures to try to reduce that number to as close to zero as possible. The OP in this thread knows this to be true — the person he wrote about is back in the game.

Do RMT workers spend times on the forums taking digs at the company that is trying as hard as possible to stop illicit gold sales. Yes, and we’ll continue to try to remove those people from our game, for the sake of the community as a whole, and to protect the game economy.

And while some team members are away on Christmas break others are working, including our support team, which has 24/7 coverage. If you or someone you know wants to submit a legitimate appeal about a termination that was made in error, please do so. If you’re a gold seller, or work for a gold seller, please don’t waste the team’s time, so they can focus on actual players.

The three-day suspension is another form of warning. Aside from that, our agents do not have the time to spend chasing down players to issue warnings, engage in discussions, listen to arguments, etc.

Were you able to click-target other objects/players?

There’s currently a bug where players can end up unable to target anything, and we’re trying to figure out if this is just coming up more frequently when fighting the Shadow Behemoth or if there’s a separate bug only related to the Shadow Behemoth. Thanks!
