I already submitted my design, but after reading your responses on what kind of magical effects are legal, my question is, can I have a tail effect on my weapon? For instance when I swing it it leaves a trail of energy from its source ( like the fractal weapons) I had originally designed it with this in mind but removed it thinking it would be illegal. Please let me know for in my original design of my weapon it added a really nice touch and I would really like to resubmit the file if this is allowed.

You have really been outdoing yourselves with the music, I remember thinking that the combat music in heart of thorns was soo much better than the core games and now this! the battle song that builds up to the choir part came on as I was battling the Hydra for the first time and I was just blown away by how epic it felt, thank you for putting so much quality and work into this expac.

I didn’t know that bothered me much but ya it kind of does. It makes staff feel heavy, I only use it really big Stonemist Castle fights or whatever because I like its skill animations in that case especially with some physical utility animations.

Yeah it really hurts the feel of the spec. As I said earlier we play most of the game in one of these two stances, and whether I am looking at my character running or holding the staff like it is 350 lbs, it is seriously frustrating for how much time I put into the game and all the aesthetics.

I am actually very much happy with the AA animations. Being a martial artist myself I really like the second auto and the one handed bo staff spin on the third attack allot and don’t want thisenchanged. In fact they changed them on HoTs launch and I very much appreciated that.

I should have been more specific. I dislike only the first animation of AA, the second and third are pretty nice and I would not want them changed as well.
The original Punishing strikes were catastrophic I am glad they moved it to Revenant indeed.
The Weakening strike is a little bit out of place as well but I myself dont really have any idea what animation would fit better :/

Edit: I am speaking from Sylvari perspective, each races animations differ in one way or a other but I consider the Sylvari one to be the most beautiful one. Especially AAs 2 and 3 chain.

yeah I get that all races need their animations swapped too for this to happen but that’s a small price to pay for a community that spends tons of time and money in their game. As far as the animation for weakening charge, anything would be better than the weird ice skating thing they have on it now. I think the best fit for it would be a short dash while the hero sweeps the staff into an uppercut, holding it with both hands.

Please do me a favor and share this post with others, I really want this to become a well known issue as I know I am not the only one annoyed by this.

Totally agree.
Thiefs current Staff stance is with all due respect absolutely horrible, not fitting, and it has been haunting my very dreams since the HoT came out. Above mentioned are exactly what Daredevil needs and I would definitely be also up for some AA animations changes as well.
The actual stance is without any doubt kind of ruining the Daredevil “feel” and often prevented me from playing it although Staff Daredevil is my main.

My problem is thatThey slapped the hammer hold/ run animation on to Dardevil staff to make it easy and faster to implement I assume.. though cost effective it feels cheap and looks terrible. Anet has stated quality is their objective and I hope that is true for this as well. I have always disliked how weakening charge looked as well but would far prefer they change the other two animations mentioned in my original post first.

I would like to bring this topic back to the surface with a new expansion rolling in because, to me, this is a major matter of quality and aesthetic which I think is a top priority for a game like Guild Wars 2.

I have always been severely annoyed by both the idle combat stance and running animation on Daredevil looking like my nimble character is carrying a 30-ton hammer while wielding a bo staff…. Seeing as our characters are in one of these two stances about 80% of our time in game, can we please have this animation changed so that the character holds the staff out in front of him firmly while in idle battle stance? and while running can he hold it behind his back with one hand? I can assure you all battle staff Revenants and Daredevils would appreciate this beyond words and it would add a true sense of differentiation while specialization swapping within a class.

With the new addition of the next 9 specializations coming I think that this subtle yet defining change is extremely important and will really make or break the feeling that you are speccing into something unique within your class. I have seen the leaks and I am not interested in thief’s upcoming specialization in the slightest. That being said, Daredevil is my dream class and adding that bit of flavor would really draw me back into my character and fall in love with my daredevil all over again. so please anet…. From a player that has had faith in you and stuck with you since launch…please change these animations so that I can truly enjoy every aspect of my hero

Before I begin, I just would like for you guys to know I have allot of experience in pvp, with over 4K games played, max rank, and hit legendary first season. I am not stating this to brag, but simply to imply I have a good understanding of what could actually help benefit the class further without breaking it.
Over all these changes are a good step on the right direction, the auto attack buffs were needed and it shows. The changes to bandits defense and basilisk venom were very nice as well. But there are still things that need attention.

For starters, three small dazes on impairing daggers for instance really need to become instant cast so you can throw them back to back, with all the insane amounts of daze/ snare/ stun other classes offer, I don’t think this is asking too much, not to mention it would open up more pulmonary impact build diversity. Another problem I see is that all the changes to Acrobatocs were good accept for the change to fleeting shadows, the two second evade you get for hitting health threshold is so short that it makes taking this trait a poor decision,, other classes with life saving passive invulns get them for a decent chunk of time, but in this skills current state taking pain response is the far superior choice from a pvp standpoint. I also wanted to point out while the rest of the Acrobatocs changes were good, they will likely go unused for those of us with daredevil because trickery not only offers the daze attached to our steal, but grants us the three initiative. Dropping deadly arts is not even an option because it would mean sacrificing a huge chunk of damage on steal in order to gain survivability in which case we should remain using our current builds to eliminate targets quicker. Thief is a class that in most cases has to go the rout of more damage over survivability simply because with the power of every other class right now, it’s kill your target instantly or die. if you ask me, I would say to make the three initiative gain inside the acrobatics line and put something else in the trickery line instead. It makes more sense for someone acrobatic to be able to pull off more stunts anyway no? :p

So much betching about the thief changes coming and it haven’t even happened yet.. I swear if thief remains a +1 decrap class for another season I’m soooo done with this game. I am reading all these posts from else’s and mesmers saying " oh no thief is so OP now we’re gunna get one shot!" Welcome to our ducking world for the past 2 years while we had to sit back and take it in the rear from every other class. Mesmers and else’s are SUPPOSED to be thief targets… They are cloth, not kittening tanks. I’m tired of hearing these bads complain and if we get shafted again due to betching I’m done..

This thread is a kittening joke…. You seem to forget, being an assassin means yes, killing players. Thief has the best mobility… Woopty kittening doo, so do mesmers and thief’s don’t have the ability to teleport friends anywhere. You people seem to forget thief has not been able to 1v1 any class on the game for well over a year now.. THAT is poor design. Last I checked an assassin class was SUPPOSED to kill cloth classes, i know it’s unbelievable a thief has the capability of actually pvping solo in pvp!!! Stop your wining and welcome to actually playing the game where things can harm you and you are not an impenetrable broken class anymore.

The before and after cast hinder this skill massivly. I main thief and have played to diamond tier 6 so far and plan to hit legendary so before you tell me “the skill is fine” it’s not… When you are in intense fast paced combat with another skilled player, it is far to easy and slow to read and they just menuver around it punishing you severely. The skills effectiveness as far as damage and what it does are fine.. But it’s function is horribly slow and clunky. Cough* an animation remake would not hurt either cogh*

the auto attacks, vault, and dust strike are fine. Although I could even see dust strike being changed…. But weakening charge just feels terrible, and even though I have made it work when coupled with steal, I would love for it to have a more functional role so that I can make full use of staff as a lot. debilitating arc, even though it is decent I still can’t find fully functional after hundreds of games, it just feels awkward and once again, what the skill is designed to do is fine, how it is cast and how it feels are the problem. Having these two super clunky weird moves on a high risk high reward class has been bugging me since hot release.

Where is the 2v2, 3v3 competitive arenas?

How the actual kitten is this not a thing yet!!??? I don’t think you guys realize the potential this would have. Mmos like this simply have too much going on and are not fun to spectate when you are focusing 3 or even 2 points with a million micro actions you are missing because the camera only captures one. People like to watch clutch plays and feel like they are in those scary moments, and I know league of legends has the straying camera, but league also has a birds eye camera in a game that is not as detailed and complex as guild wars, and the complexity is not the bad part, the kitten game modes are.. Imagin how much more entertaining and exiting your esports would be when you can zoom in on the action all at once on the 2v2 in some kitten looking arenas that would be simplistic to create as they would require flat, fair playing fields with little to no obsticals.. And what better game to do it than this!! Let the current game modes fade into something for fun casual players like in world of Warcraft. You guys are missing your chance and it’s right in front of you, you have built a game that can host this format So PERFECTLY and the longer it takes you to get this out the more it hurts you. Hell I have played the game for 3 years and I don’t even watch pvp on twitch.. But you better believe if it goes arena il have that kitten on every time you have a tourney.

The best thing you can do is practice and get better at the game. I know I will accumulate allot of hate from posting this but it’s the honest truth. Don’t get me wrong I am not siding with the league system in any way shape or form.. In fact I am extremely disappointed to hear people have been cheating their way up the ladder… But know this…not every legendary player you see was, or is a cheater. I am one tier away from hitting diamond myself right now, and as I previously stated this is the first I heard of all this nonsense.
As disappointing as it is for me to hear people have been cheating, in a way it makes me feel like an awesome player considering I have yet to duo with anyone. What it comes down to is this.. You can cheat all you want but in the end when they change the system, you will find yourself stuck on emerald forever with these “fast track to the top” mentalities. Become a better player, practice and you can carry your teams because you as a player hone more skill than anyone else. Yes you will still have losses, I am not saying you can win them all, I have had my fair share of frustrations.. But you can keep on trying and if you are a good player, you will know as you see yourself rise the ranks. Baically…As many a wise gamer in the past have stated… “Git gud”
I will continue to play pvp solo que despite all this BS happening and I will hit legendary, because I know I am good enough. The difference is when I get there it will be because I am a good player and I beat the odds

I know I have asked time and time again… And I know balance issues are underway but animation has nothing to do with balance.. And so I beg you anet.. Please for the love of god change the animation on the running and idle stances while wielding a staff as a daredevil or revenant. I cannot stand the hammer animation anymore, it literally drives me crazy.

P.s. I would also love to see weakening charge for daredevils actually look like a cool charge attack.. Unlike the strange Ballerina skater we currently have..

Remaking the skill dust strike completely would be awesome, it is rarely ever used. I would much prefer a ranged daze where you slam the earth sending a shock wave out to the enemy or somthing So to keep the theme of it being a ranged move. Not only would this be far more useful and thematically fitting for the staff, but this would also allow for some cool pulmonary impact builds that we currently barely see since staff does not have a source of daze. Blind does not do much for us on the staff, I have played pvp to ruby on thief thus far and find myself rarely, if ever hitting that skill..

In my opinion the best solution is this.. Make the pvp seasons much MUCH longer than they currently are.

Look at it this way.. By the time players settle into their tier of gameplay and are finally getting frequent match ups with other players of those skill… The season will reset, resetting their medals and causing this same cycle again and again. That to me is frustrating. Two month seasons are far too short, we need at least half a year or even a year for seasons to actually settle into the system correctly. Yes it will require the wait for those that rushed, but hell it will be worth it when everyone reaches the divisions they belong in.

You are making your game look like kitten. This is new age, if I wanted kittenty looking effects i would play WoW. If you keep up with the visual nerfs however you just might end up making it look just as bad as WoW spell effects..

They went about toning spell effects down the wrong way, they needed to tone down the on hit explosion effects, not necessarily the projectiles themselves. They did this because in group scenarios its almost impossible to see the animations of bosses.

Really what they should have done is add a check box for the culling of effects so you can still enjoy your throw up of particle effects and I can see raid boss animations.

But they didn’t do either of those things :’(

I agree a toggled check box would have been nice instead of screwing over all of us who paid because we liked the effects in the game.. This is garbage..

I started playing this game mainly for its aesthetic quality that it seemed to hold over every other mmos heads. Spell effects on launch were incredible, looked and felt powerful, and always felt satisfying to use. I am really getting sick of this skill effect culling … Examples:

Elementalist fireball that has been made tiny, it looks and feels aweful to cast now..

-Mesmer effects being toned down heavily

-Guardian tomes being removed even though they were one of the most stunning effects in the game..still a horrible decision.

Daredevil never getting a proper fix to any of its effects besides skill 1, Skill 2-4effects look and feel terrible.

New staff holding animations for melee users are recycled hammer stances making it look like we are carrying an overweight club.

Engineers mushroom cloud bomb skill now looks much less powerful and like every other generic blast.

Engineers elite laser move also looks really bad compared to what it used to be.

These are the ones that stick out to me the most and I have to say I am EXTREMELY disappointed that the game has taken these turns. It seems anet cares more about pleasing Esports communities than its original fan base appealed by what the game was advertised to be. I say this because ever since overpowering effects complaints were made about spectator mode and raid fights.. I started noticing these changes. I don’t think guild wars belongs in Esports.. I think it should stay the asthetic masterpiece it started out as and should still be.

Not sure if anet realizes it, but allot (most) of us play the classes we find cool looking and aesthetically pleasing. Be honest, you start playing a video game by choosing what LOOKS amazing to you… Not by saying "hmm what class will pump out the least amount of cool looking attacks so I can look weak and terrible in order to see my enemy 2% better.

If anything should ever change on the lines of effects, it should not
Be the projectile effects nor the ground targeted aoe’s nor any other large cool looking skills. The thing that blinds combat the most is when a spell makes contact with an enemy, it is these impact effects that I can obviously tell are seperate effects from
The skills themselves that need to be toned down. For instance, instead of making fireball a tiny nut with a streamer attached, leave it a giant fireball, but when it makes its impact on the mob, tone down the kitten explosion effect it makes on the character model. I noticed these effects attached to impact from skills are significantly more obnoxious on large mobs as the effect radius looks far larger. but if it were up to me, I would say.. Give players the kitten option to turn stuff on and off, I personally love all the effects and don’t want any toning down. An option box to let players decide how much effects should show is the best thing anet could do. That way they don’t end up destroying all the classes by making all our skills look boring. This is the kind of thing that makes me want to leave games… Hope we see some change.

I am so sick and tired of hearing this kind of thing from unskilled players.. Trust me in high level play DD is by far the worst elite spec besides berserker. They need the dodges just like every other class needs their active defenses.. Argue all you want, all classes have special active defenses.. Unlike other classes thief dies in one hit without its dodge. So your complaints are silly. Mesmers with their invilns and stealths or guardians and their crazy dmg / tankyness/ infinite blocks. Warriors Rangers and eles all have a self invuln, higher health pool and better defense. This video you posted too isn’t proving anything.. I just watched a sub par thief fight a really bad Mesmer and come out on top almost dead.. How was he op? One wrong move and that Mesmer would have had him. So your telling me because a thief won a duel (God forbid) it makes them op? Wow.. Let me show you some really overpowered chronomanser gameplay that will make you cringe.. Thief’s should be able to win 1v1. They are not pets they are a class.. I am happy anet is finally seeming to care for them.

You want your ESL to go anywhere? Then fix the most important, clutch decision making point in pvp… Stomps. Currently, the animation for stomping while under the effects of slow or quickness (sometimes even normal stomps..) does not sync up to the actual stomp killing the player.. This is beyond frustrating. I down a player, get slowed and then attempt stomping. As I do so my character proceeds to finish the animation, I have to wait for the kill for another second or so even though the animation for killing him has already happened.. Same goes for quickness.. Even though my character races through the animation and punches the ground then proceeding to stand upright again The enemy remains alive because I start walking away since the animation depicted me finishing them. Sometimes the finisher will not kill them at all regardless of stomp bug! This has to change.. These moments are the game changing moments that make or break an entire match. If this problem is fixed soon, then it also has to be fixed for the daredevils impact strike finish and scrapers drone finish as I have experienced the same issue with both of these. Please make this happen soon.. It literally ruins pvp single handedly. Completely kills that rewarding feeling of outplaying your opponent when you finish them in quickness only to find out that even though quickness was applied they are not dead when you land the stomp.. Shortly after the failed stomp their team member reses them, flipping the fight, killing you…Fix this.

Yeah, I literally don’t want to play anymore until they fix it.. Kills all my exitment knowing my character should be lookin exactly how I wanted him to and i can’t get the Bo staff because anet won’t fix this bug. Until it’s fixed, I will only log in to see if they fixed it, then log out. No more gem buying from me.

I want the time gate and the mastery gate on it. I don’t think people understand how powerful legendary armor is.. Swapping all stats AT WILL forever and it’s account bound meaning any character you own can wear it. This should be super gated and hard to get imo. If it were easy, I would be severely disappointed knowing every single person skill or with no skill had the best stuff. Getting real tired of hearing “nerf this, nerf that” people need to be patient and understand rushing content down within a week kills the game. Why does everyone want things to be so stupidly easy and take no time? This leads to the feeling of valueless items when you earn them because of how simple it was to get it.

I am quickly losing my motivation to play… I rushed so much for the Bo staff skin… 5 days later I still cannot recieve the cache. This is getting really annoying seeing people without completion get rewarded for doing less than I did..done till this is fixed.

I just wanted to make another post in regards to this move needing change and my opinions on how it should be done. I feel that this skill should be completely changed as far as how it is used. Remove the horrid clunky way it feels when you cast and make it an ability that dazed on impact without the dodge (so instead of the hasty clunky animation it has, instead it would be a stylish strike with no evade frames that dazed the target.) Because it would be losing its evade frame, add the evade frame to weakening charge instead as its functionality fits this theme far more. Also while on the topic of weakening charge.. Please make it so that its before and after cast don’t completely root the character anymore..a new animation for it would be nice too.

I 1000% agree ..the #3 Skill looks, feels , and functions terribly.. It is by far the worst skill thief has as a whole. I have played daredevil exclusively in pvp since its earliest beta until now and this skill isn’t getting any better.. Please change it.

I was also disappointed by this. It’s those tiny details that most people fly through that I love to delve into. I hate how they seem to have let go of the highly detailed mindset they started off with.

So I took two weeks off of work for HoT, and in that time I spent my entire time trying to get The bo staff collection unleocked, I have finally done everything.. But am still blocked from getting Bo. The past three days I am literally just waiting for the Devs to fix the bug that does not give me the thief’s cache nor the gift of the fleet for 100% ing one magus falls map… Please fix this, I am getting pretty frustrated that I rushed this to have it early and now am literally just standing around waiting for you to fix it.

Well since theybseem very martial arts / physically oriented, then for the love of God why can’t they follow the theme completely. They used to seem so intricate with these sorts of details on launch. I hate the thrown together feel I get with these animations. I know the behind the back is not a realistic approach, but neither is tossing fireballs or throwing great swords like boomerangs, I like the flairy look of rushing at my opponent with the staff behind my back. It gives a nice emphasis on the speed aspect that daredevil already strongly plays into.if they ever change it I hope to god they make it look this way.

Yeah I just feel like it kills what the daredevil is themed for. Love what they did with the AA animation, looks so much better, but like I said.. Any transition made after anything we use looks terrible because of the idle / running animation with staff. If we ran with the staff behind our backs being held with just our right hand, the transition from dash back to normal run would look so much smoother and fitting. I hate the hammer holding and run animation allot at this point.. Really takes away allot from the class.

I’m totally with you on this. I hate those pocket dinosaurs. You can’t hardly outrun them, either. They seem to be everywhere in Auric Basin.

1) Learn to dodge when they attack
2) Avoid them
3) Kill them

You’re not supposed to outrun them or tank them.
It’s what make them a threat. They’re not decorations.

You can easily use up your 2 dodges and still die, depending on the number on you at the time. Avoiding them is not always possible in some of the narrower passageways. Really, the easiest way for me to deal with them is to AOE them down.

Full on attack them.. They have like 2 hp each. Heal when your hp hits Hal or you will die, and do aoes. You sound like that person in the scary movies that just runs instead of punching the villain.

I simply don't feel inclined to play HoT

You don’t like it then don’t play it. Allot of us, if not majority of us have liked all the new challenges set. OP’s post sounds like he just does not like leaving his comfort zone. All his complaints sounded like this to me 1.) classes feeling too different which I personally LOVE! Gavin new classes is increadible. 2.) his map complaint which I fully disagree with, these maps have invoked more exploration than any maps in the game for me this far. 3.) mastery hating which I also love. It has go in a seance of progression the game has never had before and this was sorely needed. They should be hard to get as well because they are account bound. You do it once and it’s over forever basically. Why would you not want goals to work for in a game? Beats sittnkng in lions arch. The reason you dont see as many players that love the changes in the forums is because they are in game enjoying it. Most people wanted challenge and goals to strive for( challenging open world / raids and masteries) People who bring complaints come here and that’s fine. But I just feel allot of people poorly judge this expansion, it is a masterpiece and I hope Anet leaves it’s difficulty as it is.

P.s. I would also like to see new gear skins arrive through future dungeon implementation. I was sad to hear dungeons would pretty much just be fractles now.. I love the feeling of having lesser grp content as well as raids. If dungeons are to return, make them to earn very cool unique armor skins. I think that give them far more than reason enough to run. I know many others that would love to run dungeons for some more unique skins.

I think Zaitan will be the last. He fell in a pit, we didn’t see him eradicated. He is undead and fell in his homeland where we never checked up on his corps. I think he will return full throttle one day, hence why there is still another half of Orr that is unexplored.

So I keep hearing from people that te scale of the battle against Mordremoth seems far less epic than that of Zaitan. Even wooden potatoes failed to analyze how large a scale mordremoths was In one of his videos simply because he has not been to dragon stand before completing the story. What people fail to realize is that mordremoths encounter is actually in a far bigger scale than zaitans ever was. The mouth of mordremoth IS actually the embodiment of the dragon. That being said, when you enter his lair in the personal story, that moment is taking place at the same time that the pact is storming dragon stand and confronting the mouth of Mordremoth ( his body). It is even pointed out by one of the characters in the mission that it is our only chance at striking his mind while his attention is focused on the army outside. So all in all , our little group of hero’s did not single handedly slay an elder dragon. It took the entire pact obliterating the body Mordremoth created for himself to sustain all his magic so that the commander ( the player) and his elite squad could strike him at his core at the same time. It almost had a lord of the rings feeling to it in a sense that frodo is you the player sneaking into the heart of the volcano as the army outside distracts the eye of sauron. Honestly to me this was brilliant and I loved that the dragon was so powerful we had to destroy his mind, body and his seed (trahern) all at the same time to completely end him or he would just return.

They are the rarest map chest because they hold special material. They spawn in the upper level of dragon stand in quite a large abundance after defeating mouth of mordremoth meta event. You are given 20 mins or so to navigate the newly opened areas and gather the pods while avoiding deadly creatures that try to stop you. Hope that helps!

Fix four kittening kitten ANet. I’m tired of crashing and being kicked from a map with good progress. Either you need to have a system that reserves your spot of fix your kittening crashes. This is getting fidiculous that I can’t even play DS without your kitten crashing.

Join a party and make them aware it’s in case of crashing… Why don’t people try communicating in an online game..

Seems like not to many people are having this issue

Well considering i’ve seen 10 threads on crashing in the last 2 hours alone I would say it is a very common problem, especially in DS.

I crashed out of 2 maps today, wasting almost 4 hours of my time.

I learned to join party’s after my 1st crash. If your in a grp, your good.

I don’t know if it’s unfinished or not but it’s blatantly obvious the grind for elites (when the cost was 400 hp) was padding the content and that’s it.

I’ll never buy kitten expansion from Anet again. Not unless it’s the size of at least Nightfall. We got $25-30 worth of content at best.

Now I’m not saying I hate HoTs, I love playing the revenant, it’s breathed some new life back into the game for me but that doesn’t excuse how little content there actually is in the expansion.

They said up front for a long time this would be their smallest expansion ever as they’re setting up new features to expand on later. It’s not so much a flat content thing as feature rich. After this xpac, all the major features of the game (except maybe on or two sometimes for a real change idk Mounts cough) xpacs later will haz moar. So that should at least make you feel better about map size.

So what you’re saying is we paid more for less now? It’s all well and good if they want to set up for things they’re doing in the future but don’t charge the price of a full game for it.

I don’t have enough faith in Anet at this point to keep any of the promises they make as far as future content goes. I still remember how they first told us we’d get precursor crafting in September of 2012 and then again in the infamous “Second Half of 2013” blog post. And here it is 2 years later and we had to pay to get access to it.

Please go back to the “Second Half of 2013” and look for where any promises were made. You won’t find any. They didn’t promise one thing in that blog post. You seem to be making stuff up of the top of your head. You’re not helping yourself here.

I’m not making anything up and I’m well aware they didn’t actually “promise” anything in that blog post. Oh no. They left themselves room to wiggle out of their commitments.

They did say those were things they were working on in 2012 though.

In any case I wasn’t aware I was trying to help myself and HoTs speaks for itself. The game has never been more broken than it is right now and all the further you need to look is at the Revenant and the constant complaints of crashes and lag in the new areas.

I love the class, it’s quickly become my favorite but it can only use 1 under water weapon and only 2 of it’s 5 skill sets actually work under water. In comparison to every other class in the game that’s just disgraceful at best and extremely lazy at worst.

Don’t get me wrong I’m enjoying GW2 for the time being again but that doesn’t mean I’m blind to it’s fault like some apparently are.

Yes things go wrong in mmo releases.. As to be expected. It was a massive update with a ton of content and it takes time for the smoke to settle. If you never have played an mmo before, this basically happens on release of almost all expansions for any game ever. In fact minus a little bit of crashing, this has been one of the smoothest bug free releases I have ever seen so I cannot complain. class balance may be a bit off right now but after the two week mark and the implementation of patching it slowly repairs.

From the absolutely stunningly beautiful scenery and art put into every zone , the abundant, unexpectedly and much welcomed new musical scores and engaging challenging content this far pre raid, this expansion has been an absolute joy for me! I love the challenge added to every new zone. I love gliding and hope to see it continue into all future content! It feels so natural now as I find myself dying in core tyria thinking I can glide :p I love that the mastery system takes time to achieve so that it is not easily Aquired and dismissed within a week unless you so chose to rush and not sleep (seen some high mastery lvs!). I honestly love almost everything that was giving and we still have so much to look forward to with raids and pvp leaderboards! I seriously can’t get enough of this expan, I thank you kindly for delivering such an awesome experience that I know me and about twelve or so of my friends will be enjoying for months on end! i guess my only complaint could be that I would have liked to see far more armor sets added to the game so that I could delve into a new plethora of armor for all my characters. But Keep up the great work guys!

I know this is a recurring topic again and again and so I shed more light on it in hopes that it will see quick change. The hammer holding animation has really been getting to me while playing this nimble fighter class. I don’t like holding a staff that looks as heavy as concrete then suddenly exploding into nimble action as I vault from my hulking run animation. Please change the idle and run stance to something more fitting. Example I would like it to look like below.

Honestly I would much rather have the idle and run animations as the chanter in Aion over the monkey king ones… But either way, yes I VERY much agree the idle stance and run animation need change. I love the fluid motion of the daredevil, but it gets ruined astheticly when I’m holding my tiny staff as though it were a ten ton hammer…. It Looks so bad as it currently is.
