Still can’t do story step 14. Can’t interact with Rox’s trailmarks. I also still have to work around the level 4 itzal requirement. Everytime I restart story step 14, I initially get the message that I still need to master Itzal 4, poison.

After the latest patch, I still need to train Itzel Poison Lore for story step 14. The patch notes said it was fixed, but apparently not for all players. I asked around in my guild, map chat and on Reddit and in each channel there quickly came responses that the patch didn’t work for everybody. Quitting and restarting doesn’t help. Neither does leaving the map and porting back.

Edit: a fix was found on Reddit: Quit Chapter 14, switch to 13, then Restart 14 and relog to fix.

CDI- Guilds- Guild Halls

in CDI

Posted by: Areann.1304

Areann.1304

Proposal Overview

A modular system that lets the guild hall grow with the guild. Influence and merits are used to buy extra rooms as permanent additions to the guild hall. These rooms can be filled with unlock guild trophies and so increase benefits.

Goals

Guild halls as a mean to promote guild loyalty, pride and purpose by progressing as a guild towards more benefits. This also replaces the build que and the current upgrade system.

Proposal Functionality

The current guild upgrade system doesn’t really work. It’s a lot of pushing buttons, looking at timers and speeding up build times for little benefit. Once you have bought all the permanent stuff, the guild can no longer progress through it. A guild hall can incorporate a progression and upgrade system. In GW2 almost everything you do as a player is good for something. Loot, xp, rank up, map completion, achievement, … The same gameplay can be implemented towards guilds, trough the guild hall. The guild hall could be someting a guild keeps expanding and improving. With influance, the guild buys adjoining rooms to the guild halls. These permanent additions can then be filled by new trophies that a guild can collect by doing a variety of content. World bosses, pvp wins, WvW rank ups, dungeons, … The trophies then controbute toward specific guild bonuses. The drop rate of guild trophies decreases in correlation to the unlocked amount of upgrades. Every room bought makes buying a next room cost more influence. And every unlock increases the cost of the maintenance staff, who have to be paid with influence.

A couple examples of rooms:

Weapon Room: Is filled with display stands of weapons unlocked by defeating world bosses and gives bonus kill xp.

Taxidermist Room: Collect exhibition mobs by defeating veterans and so provides magic find boosts.

Dungeon Room: Has dress puppets to collect the armor from all the final dungeon bosses to increase the dungeon rewards.

Map room: The floor is the map of Tyria. It’s starts out in the undiscovered state. Every time a guild member does a map completion, there is a change to unlock that part of the map room and so reduce waypoint costs.

War room: Has a big chess board in it that increase WvW stat boosts. Every time a guild member gets a rank up chest, He has a change to unlock the next board piece.

Hero room: Collect tokens of gratitude from the people by completing dynamic events to increase the rewards of gold contribution.

Combat room: Collect the pvp training guys from heart of the mists by completing personal reward tracks and increase rank gain.

Craft garden: Display perfect ores, trees, plants, jewels, lumps, ingots and increase critical gathering chance

Treasury: Acquire treasure chests from jumping puzzles, exploring, world bosses, dungeons, capturing keeps and increase gold gain.

And probably many more rooms that could work. Kitchen, apothecary, jail, …

Associated risks

It will be hard to make a system that is considered fair by small and big guilds alike. The increasing cost of new rooms, the maintenance cost of the unlocks and the diminishing drop rate of trophies should alleviate this.

The system will also have to be acceptable for PvX and specialized WvW/PvP/PvE/Dungeon guilds. Perhaps it will be necessary to let guild chose their profile and change the unlock mechanisms for guild trophies accordingly.

This seemed to work on Windows 8.1 (latest updates): disabling “Automatically detect settings” in the Network > Proxy control panel.

Not sure if this was just coincidence, or something else was fixed. Perhaps the new launcher is more sensitive to network issues / crappy proxy detection? I had previously tried basically everything everybody else had in this thread (repair, run as admin, disable firewall/av, uninstall/attempt to reinstall).

It’s a simple setting to test out, so it might be worth a shot.

FWIW, That fixed it for me as well – I no longer have to run the launcher with -email / -password / -nopatchui.

This is on Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.

Control Panel > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings
Make sure “Automatically detect settings” is UNchecked

Funny thing is, I usually disable auto-detect but apparently I have gotten lax in my old age.

EDIT: This fixed the issue on all 3 computers. I think we have a winner!

THANK YOU BOTH.. you have made me a very happy man!!

Me too! Thanks! The Launcher is working again!

Jup, it works for me to. I’m on windows 8 and unchekking the detect automatic’ in LAN settings did the trick.

Hoping that I have found the right way to submit my case for review:

Hello

Sorry if my personal message 11 days ago came over as rude, I actually didn’t excpect a response anymore. You suggested I made a forum post, so I did, but that was in the wrong thread.

What it comes down to is that my soulbound legendary is gone because I accidently sold it to a vendor. Support has found that I made it but couldn’t find the selling to a vendor in the database.

My biggest concern is actually that it can happen to other people who could then leave the game. I lead a guild, so I’m not leaving anytime soon :-)
But since legendaries get an upgrade comming update, I really whould like it back.

And to be perfectly honest, your beating a dead horse. Harassing Gaile and creating multiple forum posts is not going to help.

I’m sorry that I don’t know everything and she told me to make a forum post … so I did.

I provided support screenshots of my character making the Bifrost. Support has also confirmed they saw that I crafted and soulbound the Bifrost. The fact that I have to defend myself, again, was preciselly the reason why I was reluctant to make an other forum post.

How do you do that without gear gating?

Neat concept though

Difficulty!

An idea for a new end game dungeon

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Areann.1304

I had an idea for a new end game dungeon, that gets it’s difficulty from a limit to how many times a party can wipe (as opposite of Fractals). This dungeon has a wipe limit of ten and in that frame the party tries to clear as many content as they can. The design of the dungeon is that there are no traps, no trash mobs and no skipping. The dungeon is a hexagonal grid (like a honeycomb) from 60 smaller hexagons, with the start in the middle.

Please look at my crude scetch to now what I mean: http://imgur.com/JFsWDpe
Every hexagon is a chamber, and when it’s cleared the glass doors (so you can see what awaits you) connecting to the others chambers can be opened. In total there are 60 chambers where you can battle. The dungeon has six end bosses, one at each outer chamber. A ‘very good’ run would mean that the party was able to defeated three bosses and a thus minimal of twelve chambers. An excellent run would be that the party can clear all six bosses, with a minimum of 24 chambers. And only the best of the best could clear out the entire dungeon as this means defeating five times more enemies then a ‘very good’ run (and killing the Super Boss as a final test of ability).

Each of the six end bosses gives rewards on level of the current explorables (other tokens off course, or just more coin). Every other chamber also gives a nice reward. And there is a mega award when a party manages to clear the entire dungeon. The first time that a player can do that, they also get an achievement with a title and the staggering one time only reward of 100 gold (you will have to fight in all the chambers, no swooping in at the last bit).

What makes it extra interesting is that the chambers have six types. In each of the types one game mechanic is essential for a quick victory. This also applies to the end boss fights. So the shortest route, might not be the fastest route for a certain party. By making the necessary detours, it’s possible to reach several bosses without having to clear a specific type of chamber. The six chamber types could be as followed:

1: condition removal
2: healing/blocking/invulnerabilities
3: single target damage
4: AoE damage
5: interrupts
6: kite/crowd control

An added difficulty is that the chambers positions are randomized at the start of the dungeon. So you can’t use a map and plot your desired route in preparation. The bosses are also randomized in location, but always in one of the six outer chambers. As the party starts, they find six veterans in the starting chamber. Each veteran guards a door to the chamber behind them. The locations of these veterans corresponds with the location of the bosses.

Once a party enters a chamber, they can’t get out anymore until it’s completely cleared (or they wipe). They also can’t get out of combat again. And every chamber has a time limit of five minutes before it resets. It’s thus essential to prepare for the battle before entering. Swap traits, skills, armor, make up tactics, … whatever you need. And while preparing, keep in mind that a wipe means more then just trying again. That also applies to deciding which chamber the party goes to. So the whole experience is a measure of how well the party can adapt to the chamber that awaits them.

The entire concept is only worth it when clearing all of the chambers in with only ten wipes is something that the community can’t reach until the dungeon has been around for months. To entice people to rise to the challenge, new official leaderboards are kept. Players are ranked by how many chambers they manage to clear, and then by how fast they did it. Should the player base evolve enough that the dungeon becomes easy, we can always add tiers to it. One tear would equal 10 fractal levels of mobs scaling.

Off course everything gets boring after a while, so here’s another extra twist. At the start of the dungeon, the party can chose if they accept the wager with the Dungeon Keeper. A wager is an extra challenge and playing with it provides a bonus for example 10% more coin throughout the dungeon. Every week there’s a new wager, that also gives an extra achievement if the party manages to clear the six bosses. An example of a wager is that during the boss fights, one party member must be a moa (like the Mesmer elite) at all times. The moa debuff can be passed around, but you can’t stay in it for more than 30 seconds or your dead. Another example of a wager is that only half of the doors in the dungeon can be opened. You could still get to every chamber, but with more detours.

Thank you reddit for the feedback. My origianl idea was just a time limit of two hours instead of a limited amount of wipes.

Let’s all be honest here. This issue would NEVER come up if the OP had not used an exploit to get around what ANet put in place to keep this exact issue from ever happening…

Also, there IS a buyback tab on the vendor screens…

There is only so much a company can be expected to do to protect users from themselves.

Would I want ANet to help me in this situation? Of course, but I would also know that this is 100% my fault and expecting them to bend the rules for me is a bit absurd.

I transmuted the legedary for the sigil, how is that an exploit?

You do realize this would start a slippery slope don’t you? You would have people flooding support over a yellow item they accidentally threw in the forge, people asking for help with stuff they accidentally deleted, people wanting do overs because they accidentally bound the wrong dye to the wrong character, people wanting do overs because they accidentally bought the wrong item, and the list can go on and on and on and on and on….

I’m glad you know how to run a business though and congrats on your retirement.

None of your examples are the same, selling the legendary to a vendor is normally not possible.

If you are that careless with something that important then I guess I would say sorry for your luck. It isn’t like it auto sold as soon as you opened the vendor window. Don’t start spamming left click while at the vendor. IMO it should not be the role of Anet staff to clean up mistakes made by a player. I’m guessing they have actual bugs and problems to deal with.

But that’s the ting, this IS a BUG. Normally legendaries CAN NOT BE SOLD to a vendor.

Areann.1304

Hey

I accidently sold my legendary to a vendor. That’s normally not possible but I transmuted a crafted pearl quarterstaff with the cheapest lionguard staff for the skin, and then six months later I transmuted that lionguard staff with my Bifrost to save the sigil. My legendary always showed up in my vendor list, and was almost never in the right bag of my inventory. I noticed after a relog that my legendary was gone, so I must have accidently sold it to a vendor. I switched to playing d/d about two months ago, so the Bifrost has been in my bag a long time since I usually don’t play with it (also have four other characters).

I contacted support who say that they can’t give back my Bifrost since they can’t find the moment it was sold in the game logs. They do have confirmed that they saw that I had crafted and equiped my Bifrost. Salvaging a legendary ask for a confirmation and I know I didn’t do that (I always type ‘rare" or ’salvage’).

I can’t help it that transmutting a legendary messes up with it’s legendary status so that it can be sold. And I don’t know when I accidently sold it, otherwise I would have bought it bag (already happend twice).

My Bifrost was pretty much gathering dust so it’s not totally devastating for me if I don’t get it back. But clearly this is a desing flaw, atleast adress that so it doesn’t happen to others.

I contacted support trough my support account that I still had from in the beta’s. But I don’t see a referance that I can place here.

1600 gems for custom arena

A normal player(like 99 percent of the players) that is not leader of a guild/group does not need CAs – he does need many other improvements they still have not made yet(cause we want to play all the maps in a tournament-like environment and not the hotjoin which sucks – we need queues for every map).

I’m a guild leader who bought the arena for the guild. Big problem is that now I’m the only one that can change the settings of it … My pvp team is always at my door to change them so they can play a different type.

A transmuted legendary item does show up on the vendor list.

That must be it then, I did transmute the Bifrost with my Lionguard staff for the sigil. I defininatly know that I had already seen it in the vendor list 50 times and always had to look out that I didn’t sell it.

It’s not in my bank, it’s not in my inventory, its bye bye. It took 2000 hours to get it, one second to lose it.

Ow please, that naked CoF run was never to prove a point, it was just some fun within the guild. But I agree that the title of my post was poorly chosen to reflect that. Still, it has nothing to do with this case.

Not sure if serious or trolling…. Lionguard is karma weapon.

I KNOW, that’s why I thought transmuting it could do no harm! I have been mailing with support the last couple of days and they don’t understand either. My Bifrost showed up every time I went to the vendor and it wasn’t in it’s right bag (i switch weapons trough the hero pannel, so they often go in the last available spot in my inventory, instead of in the correct bag)

I don’t salvage anything above rare. I use the search terms “rare” and “salvaga” in my inventory to salvage things. I never salave anything else.

Custom arena for the guild, doesn't work out

in PvP

Posted by: Areann.1304

Areann.1304

We collected gold in the game to buy several custom arena’s for the guild. I bought the first one yesterday and turns out that the custom arena isn’t meant for guilds. It’s bound to my account. So something the guild bought, is solely in my possetion and control. And the later is really a pain in the you know what. Only I can change the settings of the arena. So when I’m not a round, the arena loses most of it’s possibilities. Every time my PvP team want’s to tweak the setting towards a fun game mode, I have to stop what ever I’m doing and change the settings.

Also, it’s a big security risk for the guild. Should I leave the guild or stop playing, my guild will no longer have access to the arena that they bought with guild gold. It’s the drama from guild commander tags all over again.

Anyway, purchasing custom arena’s with gems, while glory is useless and pvp’ers don’t have gold … great stuff. I know that the extra content is payed for by people who buy gems. I bought them myself to. But using custom arena’s like this really gives a lot of difficulty if you mean to use it as guild property. Instead, make a gem store item that alows people to swap between complete builds with a mouse click, that will surely sell a lot.

Well, could I at least give some users admin rights over the arena so they can change the settings?

I switch between daggers and staff all the time and when I go to a vendor when my bags are full, I always have to be carefull that I don’t vendor one of my exotics. Or worse, my Bifrost. I just log-in and they ask in my guild chat to link the Bifrost. But, I can’t find it anymore in my back pack. So the thing I feared must have happend, I accidently sold my Bifrost for 3 silver.

It’s shouldn’t even be possible! Who would willingly sell their legendary for three silver? Is there really not a way to prevent your frequently used weapons from appearing all over your back pack when the inventory is full? Give designated back space for it or something

And invisible bags are useless, when the weapon doesn’t go in there in the first place.

Today in the guild chat we were discussing the new additions to the trading post that are bound to come with the new patch. As always the opinions were divided on spending gold/money on town cloths and all that. However, all of us were immediately enthusiastic at the following idea:

Provide an item that allows people to switch between builds trough a mouse click. Not just that the skills/traits get changed, but also that the gear is stored on your character (and not in your inventory, where you can accidently salve or vendor it). Everybody who does a variety of content or fills a variety of team rolls would flock the trading post for this (for a reasonable price).

For a game with the word “Guild” in it, it lacks some serious guild features.

Like being able to group more than 5 people privately for a guild event. Did it not ever cross the dev’s minds that guilds might like to coordinate events for just guild members? With the commander and squad system you end up having everyone in the zone join you.

Carefull, it almost sounds like you want guild raids. Ssssst, don’t step on the hornet nest ;-)

Achievement Points as currency excange

in Suggestions

Posted by: Areann.1304

Areann.1304

Guild Wars 2 has an ever increasing number of currencies in use. Right now we have all of these: Gold, Glory, Karma, Laurels, Guild Commendations, Glory, Skill points. Each give access to their own set of items. However, if you already got the items you want the currency becomes largely useless. For example Glory. I already got all the gear for my characters their look. So what do I do with Glory now? Some currencies can be used to get an other for example Glory for dyes and dyes for gold. But the returns are very limited and it’s a lot of work to do it.

We can fix this by using something that is now almost completely useless, The achievement points. So for example you could use an amount of achievement points to turn a Guild Commendation into a Laurel. It makes sense since the Achievement Points are the accumulation of everything you have done in game. Just how much points you have to spend to turn a Guild Commendation into a Laurels is something that will have to be researched.

The usage of Achievement Points off course has no effect on how many points you have earned, and thus on the leaderboards.

PvE and WvW, two worlds apart?

I’m a pve’er, always have been in every game. Playing against other players just isn’t my thing. However, I’m recently became a co-leader of a PvX guild with 495 active members. And yet again I see storm clouds gathering over the guild because of the differences between PvE and WvW. We are a guild focused around our common language. So we have hardcore and casual members in PvE, PvP and WvW. Shortly after the Holloween update, 200 members left the guild to form their own on a better WvW server. Things don’t look so grim yet, but it might be happening again. So I’m trying to understand and hold it all together. The WvW core is happy with our number of people in WvW, but not on what they achieve. The WvW core expects more from the other members in WvW. Here are four area’s where I notice friction.

Playstyle
In PvE players can do all they want, when they want and how they want and for as long as they want. That’s how this game is designed, and it works. Sure there are parties that only accept full berserker warriors , but that’s a minority. And there are people who leave in dungeons, but that again is a minority. If you have a strong guild you can even avoid those issues. Do what you want, and it almost always will work out. WvW is a whole other matter. Because in order for the server to be successful, the players have to think about the server first. One of the examples I think about is when PvE’ers went in to WvW, only to complete their kill variety daily. Or players in a zerg who stop to kill the Veteran Ice Wurm for their daily. But it goes deeper, like the zerg orders. At the gate you have to build up the rams first and only attack the gate with the rams until the battle markers appear. Only after that, can you attack the gate directly. The server also needs defenders, scouts, supply runners, trebbers, … Al tasks which gain the player almost nothing.

Builds
As I understand WvW is about survival, because all the enemies that tagged a player revive as soon as that player dies. Our WvW core insist people need Power Vitality and Toughness. To that there are only a few exceptions, like the necro who has enough with just high Toughness. The problem is that for PvE, PVT gear is almost useless. The NPC’s just have to get killed, avoided or damage mitigated. You don’t need to be able to take a lot of damage, but you are urged to kill fast. So players need to get a second equipment set for WvW. In WvW usually there’s also the expectation of a different set of skills traits then in PvE.

Communication
In PvE communication between the players is hardly ever needed. Even the dungeons can be completed on auto-pilot in a pug party of experienced players. In Orr there are some fights where people try to tell people what to do but hardly anybody takes that seriously. No matter how many times it’s said that the dead have to waypoint, they just lie there. Usually the event still succeeds (yes I know about Grenth). In WvW you can’t function if you don’t communicate with other players. But it goes deeper, like the zerg orders. At the gate you have to build up the rams first and only attack the gate with the rams until the battle markers appear. Only after that, can you attack the gate directly.

Influence
How on earth do you satisfy the needs of a PvX guild with only two build slots? Giving hero banners every day, doing all the guild missions and keeping up all the WvW buffs permanently, is it even mathematically possible? Actually, thank you Areananet, for not providing the option of a useful PvP buffs. Otherwise we had to upspeed that as well.

Conclusion
Could it all come down to the following? In PvE you are a hero that wears what he wants and does what he wants. In WvW you are a soldier that wears soldiers gear and follows orders. And if your PvX you have to be able to switch between the two mindset?

The big problem is that the gates close again, so all the puzzles have to be completed multiple times. That brings the chaos because people are working on different puzzles at the same time. Party’s don’t help because people fall dead and have to start over.

We approched this Puzzle the same way as all the other missions. I have seen some good ideas to improve our organization.

My guild has been very enthusiastic and optimistic about the guild missions. We went all out for them and yesterday completed Guild Puzzle. We had been looking forward to it for these couple of months. Unfortunately it’s not at all what we expected. Half of the people who participated really disliked it and said they will NEVER do it again. Only a few said they liked it.

We are always very prepared and organized for guild mission. Our numbers are between 40 and 60 people. We use teamspeak, explain tactics, give tasks to specific parties and all that. This allowed us to succeed in Guild Puzzle as a guild. But at least 2/3 participants could not finish the puzzle and did not get their rewards.

The problem is that the puzzle is very gated. To open every gate is a mini puzzle in itself. But the gates close again after a very short time. Since there are also jump to make, you have to individually start over when you miss a jump. The result is that the guild becomes scattered through all the stages of the Guild Puzzle. And everybody wants to advance, so basically we had to solve all the gate puzzles at the same time.

Think about six parties who are doing a difficult dungeon at the same time, within the same teamspeak channel. It’s absolute chaos, because everybody is giving out different orders.

Also, if you can’t jump, you can’t make it at all.

i wholly applaud OP for her incisive and very well-thought out list of requests. i wholly back her right to manager her guild as required, and to have the game support at least some of what she needs.

truth? i need a lotta that stuff too! ;-)

On second thought maybe I shouldn’t have talked about my husband, since now people see me as a woman. I’m a man, same sex marriage is possible where I live …

Our guild has 495 active members, no unknowns, and a waiting list of 50 people.

Guild Roster: It also doesn’t show the last time somebody was online or how much of their play time people represent our guild.

Guild bank: You can’t see per user how much they deposited and how much they withdraw. We are contemplating if we have to start keeping an external logbook for the guild bank.

While other suggestions you made were sound, I dislike how these few sound. To me, it just sounds like you want to kick members based on who isn’t the most efficient member, who isn’t bringing a ton of influence to the guild or who took 3s worth more stuff from the bank than what they gave.
I disagree on that style of guild leadership. And to protect the experience of the average users, I do not think that style of guild leadership should be made available. To be honest, it would be worse than a damage meter for dungeons.

And yeah, that is probably not what you were going for, and I’m not saying you’d be some horrible leader, I’m not trying to insult you in any way. I can see you’re somewhat dedicated, spending a lot of time with your guild… but sadly, there are just a ton of people who would abuse the suggested (quoted) features in a way that would have a huge negative impact on the experience of other players around them. That is wrong and should not be allowed, endorsed nor made available.

Ow off course not, once you get in the guild you stay in the guild until you haven’t played for over a month (wich is hard to tell since Arenanet put people on Unkown status very infrequently). Yes we are big, and a bit ambitious. But we are still a social guild, not a hardcore guild. And should somebody get kicked because they didn’t come online for a large time, they jump ahead of the waiting list as soon as they annouce they are back playing.

Currently though, we got a big problem with the guild bank. An unknown user took hundreds of items out of the guild bank. Nobody left the guild in the time frame of the action. So who the hell was it? See attachement

5 temples uncontestend => epic event

When all the five temples are uncontested, something epic should happen. Something that’s a big challenge, works towards server pride and maybe forms a better closure for the personal story line. ( for at this moment, it doesn’t matter at all for the gameplay if you have beaten Zhaitan or not). Here’s an idea from our guild.

The background:
One week after a player has completed the personal story line he/she gets a new quest. In this quest he/she learns that Zhaithan wasn’t completely defeated. Zhaitan is Undead and his body is made out of corpses. He lives off the energy of artifacts. So as long as the corruption in Orr remains, Zhaithan can regenerate (and thus be killed again and again). How do we take care of the corruption? Through the Source of Orr. But, the Purifying Stream from the Source can only flow when all the temples are uncontested. The completion of this story quest is not mandatory to participate in the following event.

A daily event ‘Purifying Steam’:
1:To start the event you have to make all the five temples uncontested at the same time
2: Open the access to the Source of Orr
3: Defend the Source and the five temples against increasing numbers (and higher ranks) of Risen
4: Hold out at the six points for half an hour
=> Meta event chain completed, big rewards and a daily reward chest

What if one of the six points fall to the Risen:
1: When the Source falls, the event is failed
2A: When a temple falls, he’s back contested. The defense at the other five temples have to hold out for five more minutes or the those temples become contested to
2B: As soon as a temple falls, a killer group of Risen storms in the room of the Source and closes the exit. There is no waypoint in that room, the players there have to fight against almost impossible odds.
3: If the players at the Source win against the Risen, all the participants get an extra daily chest (including those who defended the temples).

Effects:
Story: If the players can open the Source of Orr, they begin with the purification of Orr. This of course is not big. For example when the event has succeeded 30 times, the water is Cursed Shores is a little less green. Since no force is unlimited, the Purifying Stream can only flow for half an hour every day.
Loot: Since the event gets harder over time, the longer you hold out, the more loot you get from kills. And of course the rewards for completions (fail or success) scale with the duration
Server: To pull off this event the server will have to organize. You need a zerg of six people at six different locations on the map. For example, this could be done by placing guilds at specific points. For each server the game registers how long the Purifying Stream has been active and thus makes an additional leaderboard among servers. Also, when the event succeeds all players on that server get The blessing of the gods. This is a new buff that increase xp, money and karma gain during their first gaming our within 24 hours of completion.

Notes:

Maybe once a week is more suitable for this event

The event could be used to go further on game lore for example a roll for the Inquest or the Lost Scrolls.

A possible effect could also be that the difficulty of the mobs in Orr scales up a bit every time the event is completed, and gets toned down again when the event fails.

Perhaps The blessing of the gods could be reformed to be a 24u buff to the stats of a server in WvW. This would make a link between PvE and WvW, and maybe relief some tensions that are noticeable on PvX servers/guilds.

This can’t work if people start guesting specifically for this event

Yes we need an alliance so we can divide into a pve guild, a pvp guild and a wvw guild. The two build spots are way to restrictive for a PvX guild.
