Agreed. Keeping the old set while creating new ones with day and night appereance is desirable and logical. +1 to this suggestion.

Room of nightmares: Create a room witch closing spiked walls that start to get closer to each other. When a foe touches the walls it will receive massive damage and be stunned. If its caster is dazed or stunned the walls will stop moving and dealing their contact effect to the enemies during the disable duration allowing them to escape. Room of nightmares only disappears when its four walls had collided to each other.
-Cast time: 1 sec.
-Cooldown: 75 sec.
-Damage XXX (huge base damage high power coefficient)
- Stun (2 seconds)
-Duration 8 seconds.
-Range 900.
-Area: 650 units. (Square shaped)
-Combo field: Darkness.

TRAITS:

Minor adept:
Artistic perception: Gain access to Main hand pistol, Stage skills and modifies shatter skills. Shatter skills only destroy one illusion prioritizing clones and take the form of shots that cause different effects.
Adept tier:
Welcome to my reality: If the Virtuoso stands inside the limits of a stage skills he deals 10% increseased damage . Stage skill cooldowns are reduced by 20%.
Glitter powder:Critical strikes cause confusion to foes. ICD: 3Sec
Fluid movement:Shatter skills grant 10% attack speed for 4 seconds.
Minor master:
Loaded with art:If your shatter skills Tragedy, Melodrama and Comedy destroy one illusion on use, part of their cooldown is refunded.
Upon casting Tragedy: Cooldown reduced to 3 Seconds.
Upon casting Melodrama: Cooldown reduced to 5 Seconds.
Upon casting Comedy: Cooldown reduced to 15 Seconds.
(Because of baseline Illusionary persona, shatter skills can be used without illusions. This trait encourages the use of illusions in order to amplify the damage and provides a sustained damage capability to shatter skills. )

Master tier:
Artistic space: Cast Room of Power on your position when shattering a phantasm. ICD: 20 sec.
Burning passion: Burn your foe whenever you or your illusions perform a finisher.
Mirror´s edge: Enemies entering or exiting stage skills will receive damage bleeding and light cripple.
Minor grandmaster:
Main cast: Grant 1% increased damage to yourself and up to nine player allies. Each of your illusions grant 3% increased damage up to a total of 10%.
(The buff lasts 5 seconds and is reapplied each 2 seconds but it doesn’t stack in duration. This allows a Mesmer to maintain the whole buff if he recasts an illusion fast enough.)
Grandmaster tier:
-Unreal performance: Increase the damage of your clones by 10000%.
-Great finale:All of your phantasms attack each time you shatter a phantasm.
-Right on cue: Whenever you cast Tragedy, Melodrama or Comedy, each of your illusions cast a copy of that spell that has half of it damage and effects.

Mesmer elite Spec: The virtuoso
(I know someone else posted somethinc called like this but this is a different concept)

Weapon: Main hand pistol.
Utility skills0: ( Stage skills)
Mechanic: Modified shatters.

Background:
A virtuoso is an artist that treats each fight as an on-stage act. They place their illusions in order to create the perfect composition just before they perform the great finale with their ether powered guns.
They have access to main hand pistol as well as modified shatter skills that will provide a different strategy for a Mesmer where they can interact with their own illusions in order to control the battlefield or turn them into powerful magical bullets to finish off their enemies.
This spec relies on illusion management and shatter skills in order to be useful.

Modified shatter skills:

  • [F1] Tragedy: (Shatter) Shatter one illusion. Fire a piercing bullet that will deal high damage.
    -Cooldown: 8 sec.
    -Damage: XXX (Medium base dmg, high power coefficient)
    -Piercing
    -Range 1200
    -Number of targets: 5
    -Combo finisher: Physical projectile.
    Priories clones over phantasms.
  • [F2] Melodrama: (Shatter) Shatter one illusion. Fire a piercing bullet that confuses your foe.
    -Cooldown: 12 sec.
    -Damage: XXX (Low base dmg, low power coefficient)
    -Confusion: (3sec) XXX damage on skill use, XXX damage per second
    -Piercing
    -Range 1200
    -Number of targets: 5
    -Combo finisher: Physical projectile.
    Priorices clones over phantasms.
  • [F3] Comedy: (Shatter) Shatter one illusion. Fire a bullet that dazes your foe.
    -Cooldown: 30 sec.
    -Daze (1 sec)
    -Range 1200
    -Combo finisher: Physical projectile.
    Priorices clones over phantasms.
  • [F4] Fadeout: (Shatter) Shatter one illusion. Gain Distortion. Can be cast up to 3 time before entering in cooldown for the next 1+1/2 seconds as long as there are active illusions.
    -Cooldown: 50 sec.
    -Distortion Evade all attacks 1 second per illusion shattered.
    Priories clones over phantasms.

Weapons skills (MH pistol):

  • (1) – Shattered shot: Shot three piercing mirror shards at your foe.
    -Cast time: 1/2sec
    -Damage: 3 x XXX (Medium base dmg, high power coefficient)
    -Piercing
    -Range 1200
    -Number of targets per shard: 5
    -Combo finisher: Physical projectile. (20% chance)
    (It does work with Duelist discipline but has a great power coefficient too so it can go both in power and condi builds)
  • (2) – Mirrored duel: (Clone) Shot a piercing barrage to your enemy. Create a clone behind your target that casts Shattered shot.
    -Cast time: 1/2 sec.
    -Cooldown: 8 sec.
    -Damage: 6xXXX (Medium base dmg medium power coefficient)
    -Piercing
    -Range 1200
    -Number of targets: 3
    -Combo finisher: Physical projectile (20% chance).
  • (3) – Thrill the audience: Instantly immobilize and mark your foe. After a ¾ seconds shot a long range shot while eliminating two of their boons and dealing high damage.
    -Cast time: ¾ sec.
    -Cooldown: 16 sec.
    -Damage: XXX (High base damage high power coefficient)
    -Inmobilize: 2 sec.
    -Boons removed: 2
    -Range: 1500
    -Combo finisher: Physical projectile.
    (This skill deals HUGE damage but travels in a straight line. If the target cleanses thbe immobilized status and sidesteps the skill won´t hit.)

Just a little suggestion here; would it be cool if we could use Magus Fall´s currencies to purchase Mordem Blooms?

That way that bloom vendor could be the source of Season 1 rewards for those that couldn´t be there and want to work towards it by playing HoT content since Season 1 doesn´t seem to be coming back any time soon.

The most sensible, easiest solution will be a new option

[ ] Enable Full Skill Animation for my own Character only

Why not? We could turn on Hi-Rest textures for Charactermodels. So why not have the choice to opt in or out of the Visual Clutter on our side, which doesn’t influence others.

Best from two worlds….less Clutter for the one’s who need it, less ressources used (in principal)

If my System can stomach it then let me enable it.

The new Animations are Crap and seriously hamper my enjoyment of the game. Because visuals matter!

Here´s my feedback of the patch. I´ll try to keep it civil and constructive.

Gliding on core Tyria is a nice feature.

The new Shatterer bossfight is way better and more rewarding than the old one, even if it´s not as hard as Tequalt. Also his decorations and backpiece are nice.

I really don´t know what to think about the monthly beer thingie.

These guys need some answers, some comunication and more action in order to solve their problem. This cannot be ignored anymore. And if you are working towards it just post on the trhead it´s not like they bite or something.

Squad changes eems good, I don´t rally use them that much but improvements on QOL are always nice.

Support tagging on events looks cool.

As said before Fractal QOL changes are good.

Elementalist: Scepter changes are not enough. This weapon needs more attention to be able to compete with other elementalist weapons and be viable.

Guardian: Guardian needs more changes that what´s been done.These changes just left me an “Is that it?” sour taste when I saw them. Lots of their utilities are useless like spirit weapons and they don´t bring anything special. Guardian lacks a role and an intention. Whathever a guardian want to do, other classes do it better and dragonhunter doesen´t change that. Tweaks on weapons, traits and utilities are needed.

Mesmer: (Oh boy) Apart from the two QOL changes (feedback on demand and the scepter aa modification) everything is quinda awful. Chaos armor change breaks the sinergies it had with the blind traits and weaks the concept of the already weak chaos armour. Chaos armor also got nerfed its utility because of the nerf on chaotic dampeding. Even if duelist discipline got slightly buffed that´s not going to ake condy builds viable alone. Restoratice mantras isn´t as big as it looks. Malicious sorcery change is… kinda awful. If this is the scepter rework they told us (along with the aa change) then I´m really dissapointed because that doesen´t solve anything. Boons on shatter and glamour traits were nerfed for no reason other than killing the already dead bunker mesmer on PVP. Well of precognition is so ridiculous. It isn´t worth taking at any cirscunstance. Awful CD, awful casting, awful utilitie given. Aegis won´t do it and again this is made only because of the bunker mesmer. Alacrity change may have been needed but it´s so harsh that it doesen´t make any sense. If alacrity is going to be nerfed that much, change Chronomancer cooldowns that were created with the 66% on mind and buff personal mesmer damage in return. Really angry with these changes.

Necromancer: They were already on a good spot and boon corruption may get really out of hand. This also seems lazy because if you boons were too much, then nerf them and don´t do this.

Ranger: Shouts are nice now I guess. Still no changes on the clunky sword even if so many people were providing ideas and complaints on the forums.

Revenant: They were nerfed because of their crazy damage, yes but they didn´t recieve any attention to other roles that need it like Ventari and jalis that absolutly noone takes. These legends (ventari the most) need changes or a complete overhaul to be viable.

Celestial removement seems kinda lazy we will see where this change goes.

It is sad because lots of people have made so many wonderful and useful feedback and suggestion threads and yet it seems that they are completely ignored. Or, at least, that´s what these balance changes made me think.

Please listen to us. Please answer back why you made changes why you can or cannot make the changes proposed. Please make us feel heard. Threads like this are a good step forward.

I´ve heard somewhere that some “pro players” actively said that they wanted mesmer out of the game… I don´t know if it´s true but if it is…Gj on that I guess.

At first I was really angry about the balances and ranted about them but right now? I m only sad and really demotivated. I used to look up to the patch day because of the hype they built up, the pages and pages of suggestion threads that everybody wrote and the promise of meaningful changes but afret what all we´ve seen… I don´t know I just don´t want to wait other 6 months so they may fix things up. I can´t just trust them to do so anymore.

Ahahaha! Sory I can’t stop laughing…This is incredibly balanced patch! A lot of wall text, suggestions and ideas on this forum…And we have insane trash – “Wrathful Spirit: Increased the retaliation gain from 3 seconds to 4 seconds.”

January 26 Patch Notes - Thoughts?

Oh do you really want to know my opinion? Fine…

- Mesmer scepter buffs are a joke. And it isn´t even funny.
- Well of precognition is now like posting on the "visual nerfs " thread. Useless.
- Alacrity maybe was too trong still the change is outrageous.
- Chaos armor change destroys sinergies. Yay.
- Nerfing everithing we have to offer to pve without giving us any meaningful improvement on exchange? Of course, why not! Its not like, you know, we wanted to be accepted on the oh so called group content you advertised.
- Guardians still out of the game PVE wise.
- Horrendous visual changes aren´t noticed even with a hugue post with more than 17 pages of comments talking about this issue.
- Different gamemode balancing keeps interefering with other gamemodes for no reason.
- A videos showing how cool is gliding on tyria. Let´s hope it doesen´t happen the same with chrono: cool video and hype and some moths later gets butchered.

Well, the patch notes for 2016-01-26 don’t mention any further visual nerfs(Yay!) but they also don’t mention any reversal of the current nerfs.

Nature's oath outfit blunder

Or people could stop buying outfits and give ANet some financial motivation to put those same artists to work making armor skins that let you ((gasp)) pick what boots/shoes to wear with your dress.

Or ANet could use the money they get from selling outfits to fund the making of free ingame armor.

There’s nothing wrong with the gemstore selling fluff and cosmetics. If players have a problem with lack of ingame armor, let them talk about that. The money from Gemstore purchases could be used towards ingame rewards, which means they should be selling outfits and of course making armor for ingame.

That sentiment is fine, but they are NOT making in-game armour.

Pretty sure HoT has some exclusive armor skins in it? Or am I wrong?

HoT came with tho armor sets plus nine unique armor piece skins fot the specializations. Anet has release more than 5 (I think) complete outfits that are sold on the gemstore every two weeks. I can see why people are angry about this unabalnce (I am a little bit angry too)

I think the female one is kinda good but the male one… I don´t know I was waiting for something nature-ish for my druid but this just doesn´t cut it for me. And yes, at least for me, those boots are out of place.

While I wait for something like the norn predator´s chest piece for non-norns I will sink into this trenchcoat nightmare.

Well they did a guild Chat that was supposed to be around the non balance topics of the upcoming 26 patch. They have talked about Tyria gliding, WvW changes (fairly unexpected if you ask me), sqad upgrades, upcoming changes to decorations and even how Tybalt is able to summon mana from the sky.

And they didn´t breathe a single word about the visual nerf issue.

It would be cool if all phantasm skills were like Echo of Memory: an u~seful effect with a phantasm tied to it. Something like this:

  • The Spectacle (Phantasmal mage) : Burn and reveal foes on target area. Summon an illusion that casts explosive proyectiles that burn foes on its radius.This skill also cures conditions on its area if traited.
  • Mirrored duel (Phantasmal duelist) : Unload your gun shooting four piercing shots that deal damage and confusion up to 5 foes. Summon an illusion behind your target that unloads its guns on the enemy dealing damage.
  • Curtain call (Phantasmal warden): Create a zone that damages and slows enemies . Summon an illusion that blocks proyectiles.
    This zone also reflects proyectiles if traited
  • Phantasmal Lunge (Phantasmal swordsman): Lunge at your foe crippling him and dealing more damage the closer you are to him. Summon an illuison that attacks your foe and grants access to Gleaming retreat for 3 seconds.
    Gleaming retreat: Jump away from your foe while evading attacks.
  • Brutal waltz (Phantasmal berseker): Throw a piercing phantasmal blade at your target, damaging and crippling them. A the end of its trail it creates an illusion that uses a whirling attack to damage and cripple foes.
  • Shame (Phantasmal warlock): Attack your foe confusing him. Your foe is afflicted with one or more stacks of torment if it had one or more conditions. Create an illusion that deals extra damage for each condition on your target foe.
  • Illusion of protection (Illusionary defender): Give 5 seconds of protection and 3 seconds of resistance to you and nearby allies. Create an illusion that grants Illusion of Defense to nearby allies when it attacks.
  • Illusion of nothingness (Phantasmal Disenchanter): Remove up to two boons or conditions for each enemy and ally on target area (Max 3 targets). Create an illusion that removes boons from enemies and cures conditions from allies.

The skill effects would have similar effects with the phantasms they summon. Every single of these would benefit for all traits and effects that affect phantasms and would be into the phantasm skill type. What do you think?

Well I hate the nerf but here´s some explanation of what he meant.

If they reduced the alacrity time instead of its power you could simply baypass this nerf by adding more mesmers spreadint alacrity in sync. Please buff our personal damage and cooldowns so it can be compensated. We are taken on raids because of alacrity, quickness and damage. With alacrity nerfed to 33% (Stream notes) I fear we won´t be welcome to raids or other content anymore.

It’s going to be strange to see auras again now that we’re all used to not seeing them.

It shouldn’t take that long to change the transparency on auras from 2% to 15%, the new shape is fine. I would expect them to be fixed in the next Jan patch.

True, the auras are almost invisible. I´ve been called a hacker becasue people couldn´t see my magentic aura on (people are still not used to looking at buff bars).

If they would award tokens each time you complete a festival event( bell choir, windersday jp, infinitarium, snowball fight) and then have a token requirement to get the collectibles. That way people could have played the content they enjoyed and get the skin too.

I would share a pic but my game is on spanish so… If I´m not mistaken its on general options something caled “targeting options” where u can chose normal, instant or instant holding to view the skill range.

Ugh my explanations are so vage. Hope it helps anyway.

PS: This may be somethig related with the settings issue of this patch that are reseted when the game is updated or something like that.

Please remove it, change it or put more checkpoints. This jumping puzzle is absoulutely hideous and there are some people (like me) that are unable to do it. Just let us do anything else and actually enjoy the event instead of just falling again and again and again in the wnter nightmare.

Oh yes the few people who watches the tournament whined. It´s way more important to fix this ASAP and let the one who are playing enjoy the visual enhaced experience with 0 visibility because they can´t even see if the enemy has a reflect aura or not.

Now that we have a couple of melee staff combat based classes and the underwater content is not supported anymore, we could add the spear and trident gallery to the staff gallery.(A Revenant swinging a trident would be totally awesome.) Some of those skins look really good and it´s bad that we can see them so little. Even magic users could use most of trident skins without feeling weird because they are magical-ish,

We could also use the underwater firegun skins as rifle skins… even if most of the classes don´t really use them.

What do you think guys?

This trhead was about to fall to the oblivion… But it refused.

Anyway I still can´t believe this change. The new fireball is so tiny that is barely visible, our(fabulous) chronomancer wells have been srinked… I really fear what´s next. I don´t think these changes are going to help in any way. If a change like this is implemented it must be done in a way that the players can choose if their effects are shrinked or not. A simple slider that said “shrink all/other´s/none particles” and that´s it.

Please revert these changes. Please let us choose.

I´ve encounteres an issue while I was completing the firs collection that leads to The Legend. I got all the star fragments and I fused then at the ruic stone but the shards didn´t dissapeared and the star didn´t showed up. However i got that item of the colection archieved and i could even bury the star (even if I didn´t had the item, the shards remained in my bags). Got all the collection items related to the star unlocked but the shards still there. What should I do with those?. I cannot fuse them at the stone anymore.

Disclaimer: I base my answers on math.
This comment is mainly to show how most of the RNG-hater focus way to much on the RNG as being used in GW2, forgetting that is can also be used in a good way. It has really become a blind hate where the focus has moved to the unrealistic low chance something might never drop instead of the mathematical numbers of runs a RNG item would take you to drop based on a given drop-rate.
