Don’t know what to say I am casual mostly just play weekends.
But when I am on I get stuff done been keeping up to the living story and have got 5 guys to 80 have done most dungeons but no one has 100% map yet still trying.

Maybe you just don’t really care for the game as much as you did GW1, which I never played.

I think this game caters to casuals lots.

I will do dailies if I log in but I don’t log in everyday after work anymore.

For me I made the choice of RL becoming more important.

Ya of all the zones they have it is by far the worst and really not that fun as others have said its over done with undead.

With 5-80,s i very seldom go there as it needs to be changed visually and the amount of mobs and the CCing everywhere.

For me it is just a poorly designed zone.

Because the world gets dull when you can never die. I don’t know if you’ve ever played a game with world PvP before but it makes the game far more interesting. You need to anticipate getting attacked at all times and consequently your actions require some thought to plan out. Fighting with your back against a wall for example to ensure nobody comes up behind you, timing your pulls so that you don’t get overrun if an enemy is close by.

Currently the world doesn’t require a modicum of thought when you can steamroll over everything. It’s an absolute gorgeous landscape but there is zero element of danger and for an adventure game you want that element.

I started with UO before trammel so i do know all about open world PvP and having to fight where ever you went.

I was just asking sounds like you are just bored with PvP here and i understand that i am kinda there also but not totally yet.

Na not the best but its not the worst either i would put it somewhere inbetween.

I would not pay a monthly sub for this game tho.

It was alright but for me no need to keep it around but does not really mattter if others want it to stay around i have np with that.

I have to agree with Gote on this been here since pre week and the game is really for me starting to go backwards.

I know its not me its the game and all the little things they are doing wrong i played EQ2 for just about 6 years and UO for more than that and the way Anet nerfs things over and over i dont know if i will make it 1 year with this game.

They are just way to fast to nerf things and not really think it thru and in the long run this will hurt them.

Just the way i feel sorry.

Dont know about all servers but everywhere i have tried to go there is still overflow.

I knew this fix they tried to put in would not work and it is not even close to helping the problem.

It does look like a really big update and contains some really good stuff good job all in all.

To the OP have fun with Teso might be a good game but i vote no to the trinity.

As you see i have both a necro and a ranger . Ranger pets like necro are not all that great but the necro can get around it with wells and things like that as where rangers are defined by their pets.

But i do agree with you each class should have someone to step up to the plate for them

I know when i get home from work there are overflows now and there will still be overflows when they patch this.

I could not believe what was being said so I had to experience this with my own eyes.

Hundreds of players, waiting for a Dragon to spawn. Some of them are chatting in map chat, others are alt tabbed browsing the net waiting for the music to change.

Why?

2 chests per day per character provides many shinies; thats why. The interesting part is that you can actually stand still and auto attack these dragons to death.

I honestly can’t figure out why this would be fun in anyway.

Most of them dont like the way you play the game either.

I say no we dont need it and i run 2 toons full exotic gear and the other 2 about 1/2 rare and exotic but full exotic weapons.

You can tell alot about how a person plays and dies you just know.

I dont run MF ever dont need it or want it .

I think the best options I’ve seen to fix the overpopulation/guesting/lag issues are the following:

1. Overflow clones the event timers from the main map

2. Significantly reduce the time between spawns

The first suggestion would allow everyone to do the event that intended to do so. However, the lag would still remain.

The second suggestion gives players more freedom to choose when to do their chest events. It would spread the population out over multiple events instead of a mass of players trying to enter the same zone at the same time for the rarer spawns.

Neither of these would have any real impact on the issue, and could actually compound it. I will repeat myself until everyone actually understands. You don’t treat the problem, you treat the cause of the problem. The cause is the reward. Fix how the reward works and the problem goes away.

How do you fix the reward if you go per account or nerf the loot Anet will loose accounts over this

Do something with guesting and the amount of people that can be allowed at big events ( increase the number) no need to lower the loot back to what it was.

Lower chests per account will just make people leave the game.

Went to 6 differant zones tonite and everyone is in overflow what is a guy to do with a limited play time.

I know everyone is after the Phat loot like me and i dont blame them at all. So i just ended up logging off not that i am mad it just needs to be fixed but DONT nerf the loot thats why we all play.

I dont believe that guesting is the big problem its that so many people now show up for the bosses it creates lag sure guesting might add some but not that much.

I think their servers cant handle all the folks doing bosses right now is the main problem.

Last nite on my server i missed every boss due to overflow i think they need to fix it soon or they will start losing folks.

Dont like them dont do them. I myself like them other than the lag monster

I have never seen a game where culling is this bad , Anet you should really do someting about this it effects every part of the game right now.

So what is it is their server gear that bad and cheap or what?

I have played a few games now and have never seen anything this bad as lag and culling.

Who cares WHY it’s happening, it shouldn’t be and Anet should fix it.

This is it in a nut shell we have a BIG problem and they need to fix it.

They should try taking guesting out for awhile and see if it fixes the problem and if not then try something else .

We need better servers.

vertical progression isnt the culprit for me.

i welcomed laurels, guild merits and ascended stuff in general because they cant be farmed.

What doing dungeons over and over is not farming since when?

If you dont like the way its going on bosses dont go do them simple as that and the folks who like it go do it .

I am kinda enjoying finally getting some good loot myself.

Or atleast come up with away that people can actually do something on their own server and not get kicked to overflow all the time.

This is getting out of control on TC the lag is horriable and getting kicked to overflow so other people can come and get kills here is wrong.

And i dont need to go guesting to other servers because folks come to TC and take our spots please try to fix this.

Because Anet does not keep their word and changes everything all the time .

I really feel i can not even trust theses devs anymore they make just horriable chioces in which way this game is going.

I watched 13 people leave my guild tonite to back to our old game because of broken promises and by tomm i expect to see more if that happens i will have no choice to follow.

Just to many broken promises Anet just to many.

Only being able to get one chest a day has turned me right off of doing them for awhile.

I may have 4-80 toons but i only really want to to dragons with one so this was all i had left and the dungeons in this game bore me to death so wont do them .

WvW i just got tired of cause its the same over and over.

So i never thought i would say this but i think i may have to go back to raiding to have real end game.

I have to agree 13 people left our guild today because of 2 things

1) Guild missions

2) Nerf to bosses chests ( better loot who cares half the fun was the chase)

So right now i am on the fence to leave or stay will wait to make up my mind, but you guys have to really think things thru before you just do it.

They didn’t seggregate anyone in Everquest 2.

It was actually an awful lot of fun to decorate them; have your cat there and everything; craft furniture through crafting professions.

That was a good game; had a good economy too where you could make money out of crafting.

Dont know which game you played but i played EQ2 from day 1 and Guild halls killed people being in the towns everyone just went to their guild halls and hung out .

Player house,s were not not as bad but did not help.

If they bring these 2 things in it will hurt seeing any toons in the towns they will become ghost towns i have seen it happen before. We had a guild hall and had no reason to go to any of the cities.

I hope they dont bring in either or rides.

Na why would i want to with how bad lag is and culling ( around dragons) with no loot( already missing getting chests from some dragon kills anyway) i would have to move on.

Lag has become so bad its killing doing dragons my fps goes from around 100 down to 15-20 cant move or do anything.

And i do know its the game or something at your guys end because i can log into eq2 and it plays great.

And the culling is getting worse you folks need to really fix this stuff to make the game enjoyable again.

Ya i have had the same problem last 2 Teq,s i have done no chest with Necro.
But all other dragons dropping chests with ranger
