Anyone has this problem?
My Juvenile Fern hound F2 skill goes in full cool down (25s) when it self-interrupt/ cancel its skill.
However, my Juvenile Wolf F2 skill only has 5s cool down for interrupted/ self-interrupt.
Also, we all know that Fern hound F2 Regeneration heals 130Hp/s.
However, when deactivate Fern hound, Regeneration only heals 5Hp/s.
Is it working as intendedâ„¢?
Do we have a dev who plays Ranger here?
Moreover, when your fern used F2, you get Regeneration for 130HP/s.
However, when you deactivate your fern, you only get 5HP/s Regeneration.
IS THIS A BUG?
No one use Fern Hound?
I feel bad when the F2 gets 25CD with no effects
Why Anet didn’t make spike trap has a combo field?
(e.g. Dark field)
And the trap effects (proc bleeding, immobilize…) should last 3s when ppl entering the trap.
(Same as the middle of EOTM spike traps)
Do we have ranger dev here?
Or anyone know this 25s CD for cancelling is working as intended?
It’s already 6 months.

Make it like Necro F1 when Ranger permastow pets
F1 - Transformation: To become as your pet, your skills bar = pet’s skill. (10s CD)
F2 - No such option when permastow
F3 - No such option when permastow
F4 - Swaps pets. (unchange)
How It Works:
- Similar to Necro Death Shroud, Press F1 to transform as your current pet.
- You will have 4 pet skills in your weapon skill bar. No 6 to 0 skills.
- You will have pet’s attribute in stead of yours.
- When you lose all you health during transformation, you will transform back as Ranger.
- Press F4 to swap pet for another transformation. 60s CD even if not defeated.
- Swap to another transformation when you Press F4 during Transformation.
- A minimum of 10% pet’s health is required to enter Transformation.
- Ranger cannot be healed while in Transformation, it only heals the current pet which in Transformation.
- While in Transformation, players cannot interact with objects. This includes picking up bundles, reviving allies, and interacting with environmental objects.
- Once you are in combat/ in Transformation, you cannot unstow your pet back.
Associate Risks
Anet programmer may not able to stow Ranger/ change Ranger into a pet.
Traits – Update the trait fact, for example
- Malicious Training – Increases duration for conditions applied by your pets/during Transformation.
- Pet’s Prowess – Pet/Transformation do more damage on critical hits.
- Fortifying Bond – Any boon you get is shared with your pet./ Any boon you get is remain when you transform, double boon duration while in Transformation
- Instinctual Bond – (New) When your pet is defeated, you gain quickness
- Stability Training – (New) You gain stability when Ursine, porcine, and armor fish pets disabled/ end of transformation.
- and so on…
Utility Skills
Shout – Now Ranger gains the effect as well as pets.
- “Guard” -> “Ambush”(New) – You and your pet teleport to a position. You and your pet gains stealth and protection for the duration of the skill. If you and your pet attacks or moves out the area, the effect ends.
- “Protect Me” – Unchange (your pet sill can absorbing all damage while permastow)
- “Search and Rescue”(new) – Your pet will seek out and revive a downed ally. You gains stability (5s)and 50% revive speed (10s)
- “Sic ’Em” – Revealed an enemy. You and your pet runs faster and does more damage.
Pros:
- Ranger gets triple health bar (LoL)
- Foes have to defeat your pets (Transformation) in order to kill you (Ranger)
- Full control in pets
- Now Ranger has benefit even they permastow
Cons:
- Lower dmg as before, as your pet is stowed
- Low dmg while in transformation (coz pet only has 4 skills with long CD and Ranger cannot use his weapon skills to do dmg)

Sword skill 1:
Opening leap – Opening strike. Leap into the fight, crippling your foe.
Crippled: 5 s
Combo Finisher: Leap
Range: 600
Which can make Sword Ranger has a REAL opening strike, instead of walking slowly to reach the target.
Axes skill 1:
Cunning throw – Opening strike. Hit up to three foes with a single throw The first target is stunned, the second is Confused, and the third inflicts weakness.
Stun: 1.25 s
Confusion3: 5 s
Weakness: 5 s
Maximum targets: 3
Combo Finisher: Physical Projectile (20% chance)
Range: 900
It is not too OP for the axe weapon skill set combo with any offhand weapon.
Stun = Ranger starts the fight first instead of the foe (With triat = 2.5s)
Confusion = the second foe may not want to take risk to attack ranger
Weakness = the third foe deal less damage in this opening fight
Which can show that who is the boss in starting the fight and in skirmishing
Greatsword skill 1
Bouncing Blade – Opening strike. Throw a greatsword to a target and bounce back to you, damaging the foe and giving fury to you.
Fury: 5 s
Combo Finisher: Physical Projectile
Range: 600
Greatsword Ranger loves fury.

or it will make Ranger spamming these skills.

The wall skills are the problem:
Line of Warding,
Spectral Wall,
Veil,
Static Field,
etc.
These skills can affect a limitless amount of targets,
and cannot be evaded.
Most of the AoE skills have max. target of 5 people, and targets in block and evade state also counts.
Even Mesmer portal have max. target of 20 people (or uses).

Please remake ranger and make pets as a optional
enough for me in RAID, WVW and Dungeon
Because of pets, it makes rangers weapons very weak
(e.g. Greatsword 1,1,1 Power Bonus = 0.55, 0.55, 0.65)
(Guardian Greatsword = 0.8, 0.8, 1.2)
It just like:
If no devs play rangers, why design rangers like this ****?
I wish I could have a special bank tab to store most of my BLTC items
e.g. boosters, revive orbs, BL salvage kits , toys, town clothes, etc.
I do not have enough storage space to store my BLTC items.
If so, I could buy as many town clothes as I could.
1. Being useless in a team
2. Troll your teammates
3. Trolled by your pets (F2, F2, F2, F2, no response and go in full CD)
4. Keep nerf by Anet
Oh poor Rangers, your Goddess of nature – Melandru left you alone.
With no blessing of Melandru, no condition removal for Rangers
Rangers are weak in condition removal, LoL.
BTW, when can I have a REAL Ranger with no Pets?
Being useless is useful to team, because your teammates will have a feeling of superiority.
(e.g. Warrior: Oh yeah I carry the team

Also, if you made a mistake and made you team fail, you still could say “It’s normal, Ranger is designed to be fail.” 
If you are a fan of pets, please play Necro, Ele, Guardian, Thief, Mes, Eng.
They both can summon stuffs. (e.g. minions, turrets, illusion…)
It’s still better than Ranger’s pets.
Better use up 1 skill slot than use up your profession skill slots (F1~F4) with a profession trait (Beast-master) that you won’t want to invest in.
Remake Stealth mechanic, then Thief will be adjusted.
(e.g. buff other thief mechanics again)

Why I have no Ranger Signets passive in sPvP?
When you disable it, the signet problem solved.
And now you enable spec. mode, the problem comes again.

Heal as one(30CD) – Shout. Break stun. Heal X(e.g. 4000) health. For 10s, your pet’s attack steal Y(e.g. 200) health, you and your pet gain Z(e.g 400) health for every pet’s attack. (Res your pet for 50% health if already defeated)
BM build is coming back lol
(-20%CD, gain regen. & fury for 10s traits)

Ranger is a bug (class),
So ranger don’t have bugs.

If you are out of range: no hits, no vigor. If you are stunned: no hits, no vigor. If you are blinded: no hits, no vigor. If you are blocked: no crit, no vigor. If you are fighting any of the hundreds of objects or bosses that act like objects: no crits, no vigor. If you hit but don’t crit, no vigor. If you are a condition damage build: low Precision, few crits, spotty vigor.
You have to gear for it and it has serious impact on which weapons you can use if you want high vigor uptime.
Pre Dec 10 Ranger~
Spend 5 points. +50% endurance refill rate come hell or high water. No check, no gear requirement, no counter-play.

Better use Healing Spring: Water field, Regeneration, Condition Removal.
Or use Engineer’s Healing Turret. Same function but has a better result.
Spending 1.5s to cast the spirit, and 1s init CD after cast, then the spirit spend 1s to start its action, but then it got interrupted by a hammer Warrior, and died in 1s is silly.

The signet problem is not ranger specific. All classes suffer this. Its a known bug that
in a preview patch stated incorrectly fixed.

Devourer: Twin Darts: Reduced the damage by 20%.
Drake: Bite: Reduced the damage by 27%.
Drake: Lightning Breath: Reduced the damage by 17%.
Feline: Maul: Reduced the damage by 50%.
Jaguar: Stalking: Critical chance increase while in stealth reduced to 25%.
Jellyfish Blue: Chilling Whirl: Decreased the damage by 33%.
Moa: Peck: Reduced the damage by 7%.
Pig: Jab: Reduced the damage by 25%.

it happens all the time. i used to run a power build but that glitch makes the whole build nonviable.

Dodging for rangers? No way
You can only gain 5s vigor when you are struck by a critical hit. (15s CD)
and using a healing skill
or Lightning Reflexes.
(or, when swapping to a moa, bird, or jellyfish pet. Who will use Beastmastery Traits?)
Rangers = meats
That’s what you likely to eat. (e.g. in WvW)

When entering to Spvp room (already started/ hot join), the signets do not provide their passive effects. Even I am in combat, died and res.
I don’t want to change my skills then change it back to get my passive.
I use Signet Mastery and Signet of the Beastmaster Traits.

As you know, thief has a special ability called Stealth Attacks — These special skills replace the first weapon skill of the thief’s skill bar while in stealth.
So, I suggest ranger should remake Opening Strike, it should become a special skill replace the first weapon skill of the ranger’s skill bar while out of combat (and/or in stealth).
For example,
1H Sword Opening Strike – Monarch’s Leap (same as 1HS skill2-2)
Leap into the fight, crippling your foe.
Crippled: 4 s
Combo Finisher: Leap
Range: 600
Such that Rangers can leap into a foe to start a fight instead of running to them
Greatsword Opening Strike – Concussion Throw (mod from GS skill4-2)
Throw your greatsword, Daze your foe. Stun them if you hit from behind or from the side.
Daze: 1 s
Stun: 1 s
Range: 600
Slow projectile speed (as default), it won’t hit anything.
Short Bow Opening Strike – Confusing Shot
Fire an arrow. Confuse your target.
Confusion 5: 5 s
Range: 900
To make the emery feeling painful if they want to opening strike us.
Long Bow Opening Strike – Just keep the Vulnerability LOL
People like high dmg with long bow.
Other Opening Strike skills?(e.g. axe, pets) I don’t care.
I am as newbie as a Dev, I don’t play rangers and I just want to nerf rangers.
Here’s my simple idea to remake the opening strike – to make it more like starting the combat.

So that means… Moment of clarity:
- Boar rock: 2s daze = 4s daze
- Boar bone: 2/3s stun = 4s stun
- Boar skull (with 30% condi duration) = 8s fear (on a 120 sec CD or something)
- Asura: technobabble: 3s daze = 6s daze.
Brb… re rollin asura and using boar again.
Stun duration.
Make it like Necro elite skill – Summon Flesh Golem
All done!!
(In GW1, we have: Charm_Animal)
Now we can design a new Profession System for Ranger (F1~F4) (Yay!)

Ages ago, Ranger’s trait:
Evasive Purity – Remove condition from you and nearby allies on dodge roll
But Now,
Evasive Purity – Dodging removes blindness and poison from you. (10s CD)
