a caestus would be pretty awesome as a weapon.
Destruction of the empowered was supposed to be warriors boon hate option, but compared to the other options in its tier, its not worth taking. The trait is also not designed very well because protection is so strong, even with every boon on the target it still doesn’t make up enough damage, and if the target has every boon except protection it is too effective. at least in my opinion.
wow. it doesn’t even fit right. reminds me of that cheesy dragon helmet from the dragon festival thingy.
while boon rip would be lovely, in older streams they have noted that boon stripping is a defining trait of necromancer and Mesmer, not the warrior. So chances are that wont happen.
monk seems to be an idea for a more calm and collected type of class, which a warrior is the opposite. I would think to see a grappling style that apply unique debilitating effects. For example armbars add cooldown timer on weapon skills for a few seconds, chokes, prevent endurance regeneration, leg locks apply torment. lame stuff like that.
While the traits are in desperate need of help, utilities could also use some tweaking. Stances are a required part of almost any build that wants to survive in any kind of combat since the alternatives don’t bring near enough to the table to even be worth considering.
there is always so much time and effort put into threads like this, its a real shame Anet never acknowledges any them.
when it comes to stances they should be something that can be toggled on and off on command, and have it deplete adrenaline at a rapid rate. It would have good interaction with adrenaline building traits to help stay in the fights. If the stance is not monitored and the player allows adrenaline to reach zero, there would be an exhaustion debuff putting all stances on cooldown and a negative effect to adrenaline recharge and or attacks speed.
Just some ideas that could make it more fun.

4TH slot for elite specs only would make sense actually. 3 Slots for core specs, and a single slot for elite specs. Would make adding future elite specs more manageable for sure since they would not compete with a slot for core specs.
Heart of Thorns expansion releases tomorrow along with the new elite specs. BWE is a beta weekend event but we are past all those already.

When i pre-purchased HoT i was excited because i didnt know what we would get, now that i know i regret my decision completely. First time i have ever gotten more disappointed with the more they showed us.
it seems would be more useful if it applied 2 seconds of protection when hit over 90 percent health with a 10 seconds cooldowns. the way its setup now will not stop any real opening bursts at all.
berserker is trying to do too much. I would have loved a pure condi spec line. Or if it was condi/boon hate or condi/healing type of thing. It seems very dull at the moment and cant seem to get anything right when it comes to theme or capabilities.

I always thought physicals should be affected be adrenaline in more than just damage. More adrenaline equals faster bola speed and duration, or longer knockback from stomp. That sort of thing.
signet of might with a standard GS rifle Build works fine for me. Havent seen to me many shrug off a killshot.
Burr’s idea is what I was expecting when berserker was revealed. I mean look at the art for the Berserker it just looks like the warrior lost all fear and is ready to tear it up. Instead we got some very poorly designed skills.
I remember playing warhammer online where they had the Choppa which is essentially a melee berserker class. There was a 3 stage rage meter that damage would increase as your meter filled, but you would also become more vulnerable to damage as the meter filled. There was certain skills that would use the meter in portions and basically the more meter the skill required the more effective the skill. Mechanics that work like this add skill to the class in requiring proper use of rage and abilities.
I too will most likely switching to Scrapper and I have been playing warrior since early access. That is if I don’t just do what many others have already and just quit altogether.

you can give up phalanx strength but vigorous shouts and soldier runes are a still great group support so i would still take it for that. Especially since they are trying to move away from the berserker meta.

a shotgun sounds way more fun lol. engineer rifle is somewhat medium range and its a blast to use. The rifle being long range as YOU describe seems to be a role filled by ranger already.
This does sound like a lot of fun and i would welcome the change for sure. Considering the rifle as a “sniping” weapon makes no sense as a heavy armored class. Changing it to a close quarters shotgun weapon would make things much more interesting for sure. we could make a warrior swat team!
berserker hammer burst feels underwhelming and barely slows anything.
Suggestion: create a field at point of impact that lasts 3-4 seconds that pulses 1 seconds immobolize ever 1.5 seconds or 1.25 seconds

Long ago there was the suggestion to have them mount to your back, samurai style so the buffs are with you and you can still attack with your main weapons and not worry about picking it up all the time.
cool changes. i know its asking a bit much but what about axes. i love axes but the trait is trumped by berserkers power. im not really thinking a direct damage buff just a different effect, fury on crit, chance to destroy projectiles with auto attacks, crits restore teeny tiny bit of endurance,whirling axes apply bleeds on crits, IDK anything!
the rifle DMG increase on auto only or across all skills?

the torment on sword may not be all that useful for pve, but i do remember a build a while back using offhand axe and the #5 skill to apply stacks of bleed very quickly. basically a high crit-chance bleed build.
Just peeked at the new rangers skills myself. What it offers is amazing especially Celestial Form. It completely trumps berserker mode and also requires charge up to use. EXCEPT berserker is our complete new elite mechanic while Celestial form is only a small part of what the Druid is bringing to ranger.
then they mention that the berserk meta is going away (basically being able to complete content with straight berserker groups) yet the entire mechanic of the berserker is to deal more damage and go berserk. Im not sure they thought that one through….
those new physical skills err.. RAGE skills are completely useless in PvE and PvP….
I don’t like how adrenal health works passively. I would much rather have it be like you said, where on burst skill landing regenerate health for say 5 seconds in a fashion similar to rangers troll urgent skill. Or my favorite idea would be heal whenever you gain some adrenaline (each point gained heals a small amount, 100 healing base per point). not gaining adrenaline no bonus healing. i dunno sounds kinda strong but its an idea!

I think its cute how sometimes rush tries to go towards your target, then gives up and goes a totally random direction. even in melee range.
skullcrack build does very well against them. Hybrid confusion build as well since they generally just spam skills and they are quite easy to interrupt. If they are running blind on burn however theres not a chance.
With the introduction of the torch, and the fact a primary function of a torch is to light a path, I was really hoping for the torch to have some reveal functionality. For example the number 5 skill, perhaps cause reveal to anyone that comes in your field?
I feel it would make sense since the area around the warrior would be lit up, revealing the area.
The trait is bad in design and in the field. It’s silly to have traits like this that depend on your opponent to carry certain skills AND requires available stun breakers. Maybe if the healing was better and it offered protection instead. I’m not sure berserker will make it any more appealing.
These are the changes I proposed a while back. Of all the things I would like most is for sword to be a leaping gap closer with a increased damage below 50% health. Say like above 50% health leap and cause 5 stacks bleeding or torment and below 50 cause 10. Maybe even below 25 percent instead. There’s so many skills that trigger below 50 percent but none of them do damaging conditions so i think it would be unique and fun.

While fast hands would be an amazing baseline feature, as soon as it happens people will think the warriors are overpowered. Similar to when we got the healing signet buff and baddies that were carried by their class could no longer kill warriors. It wasn’t because warriors had to much healing it was because skilled warriors got so good at surviving encounters with terrible sustain options. With baseline fast hands, skilled warriors will no longer be shackled to discipline and a whole new animal will emerge. Baddies won’t like that.
This is what warrior needs! More tools and utility. Our traits have awful synergy in reality compared to just about all other classes. The mind games you can play on enemies would be wonderful with such a dangerous axe
Even as it is right now there is no variations between builds. Everytime you see a warrior it’s strength/discipline/ defense. Without baseline fast hands I can’t even see the berserker elite spec being used at all considering what has to be given up for it to fit it in. Let’s say you do drop strength or defense, the spot would most likely go to arms since it adds more damage and utility than current berserker traits.
That idea is really great, i can imagine the satisfaction of the gamble paying off.

It wouldn’t be a power creep at all, 10 endurance on weapon swap fits with the rest of the minors in the trait line and would prove quite useful and rewarding to player actively engaging in the combat.
I mean it could even be like 3 seconds of fury or something.
run cavalier till you reach 2800 armor then berserkers till i get 50-60% crit chance unbuffed then valks for the rest of it.

Just some thoughts and opinions real quick.
Engineer got a melee bruiser spec as their elite, thief got a melee survival style spec, guards got a ranged spec, necros got a melee bruiser spec, elementalists got a melee bruiser elite and mesmers got mediums range area control. In some way or another these specs are offering a unique new playstyle to each class that wasnt there before.
So my question would be, with all these classes getting BETTER at being in melee battle, how is the warrior going to compare with a spec that does not offer a unique new playstyle? Rage utilities are just physicals that add adrenaline. The berserker bar is literally just a continuous adrenaline bar. The berserker f1 bursts are 90 percent the same skills. They look different but have the same outcome. the traits are basically just effects for entering berserk and more direct damage modifiers. I mean not even the weapon skills while berserk get any changes?
The condition spec? anyone that tried it knows it offers weak pressure and laughable durations that it cannot be taken seriously.
The Forums were LOADED with amazing ideas and suggestions and they still are. It seems like the good ideas never make it to consideration.

We have been asking for this for a very long time now. Not once has anyone from anet EVER dropped any light on the subject. Personally i would like to know if they would do it, and if not WHY.
What also makes me worried is that whenever we got changes we ask for in the past, they break or nerf something there was not even any issues with. If we do ever get baseline fasthands who knows what nerfs would come with it.
If only suggestions were ever actually considered. We can talk about things we want all day, a ANET wont ever drop in to say anything on the subject lol. Banner Idea seems legit tho
