I think its good that you lose stacks when you are:
- Downed – The sigil rewards you from staying alive
- Unequip the stacking weapon – otherwise the sigils generate gameplay where you use one weapon to charge yourself and then swap to a weapon with damaging sigils → annoying and unnecessary
How would the heroes deal with various puzzles or situations with chaotic combat mechanics?
Example: You take your 4 heroes to Underground facility fractal where 2 players have to stand on platforms while they are being attacked by dredge while 3th player needs to use a console to open a door.
Example 2: You take your party to Thaumanova Reactor fractal where the bosses attacks destroy platforms under you and if you fall into the reactor core there is a 99,9% change that you die.
Here is a list of maps that are lower level than 48:
- Caledon Forest
- Metrica Province
- Plains of Ashford
- Queensdale
- Wayfarer Foothills
- Brisban Wildlands
- Diessa Plateau
- Kessex Hills
- Snowden Drifts
- Gendarran Fields
- Lornar’s Pass
- Fields of Ruin
- Harathi Hinterlands
And here are few that are 40-50 level maps:
- Blazeridge Steppes
- Dredgehaunt Cliffs
Are you sure you have completed or nearly completed them all?
Hi,
Here are my few ideas:
Sigil of Nullification: It removes only one boon and that is too weak. I would like to have it remove more boons or be an AoE effect. One possibility is that it could remove a specific boon instead. For example: Sigil of Might Removal, Sigil of Protection removal, Sigil of Instability.
Sigil of Quick Draw: Your next weapon skill’s cooldown is reduced by 33%
Sigil of Elemental Aura: Gain fire/ice/light/shock/magnetic aura when you swap to this weapon. A different sigil for each aura.
Sigil of Sloth: Inflict slow for 3s on your next attack.
Sigil of Escape: Remove Immobilize/chill/cripple when you swap to this weapon.
Sigil of Parrying: Gain Aegis when you swap to this weapon.
Sigil of Stability: Gain Stability when you swap to this weapon.
Sigil of Protection: Gain Protection when you swap to this weapon.
Sigil of Blinds: Inflict blindness for 3s on your next attack.
Is it possible to make a sigil that triggers on the last attack of skill #1 chain? Would be really cool effect if you ask me. I know there are some skills that don’t have a chain attack, but I guess they shouldn’t use the said sigils then.
It is a reasonable request, I would like to see it too.
A fix that you yourself can do is use a 3rd party program like YOLOmouse to replace your cursor with another, more easily spotted cursor.
Hi,
Before the resistance and HoT the metagame was entirely different. Players weren’t so tanky as they are now and full zerker necromancers and elementalists were the meta. The ranged damage spike was so powerful that using something like epidemic just wasnt worth it.
Nice!
Thank you for answers and testing.
Let me ask it like this:
Question 1: I use “Seed of Life” on stack of 10 people, do all 10 people get a GotL stack? Even though Seed of Life only targets 5 people?
Question 2: If I use Rejuvenating Tides on stack of 10 people, do all 10 people get 5 stacks of GotL? Even though Rejuvenating Tides only affects 5 people?
Hi,
I read from patchnotes that Druid trait Grace of the Land (GotL) affects now up to 10 people.
Here is what they said in the patchnotes: “Grace of the Land: Damage per stack of this trait has been reduced from 3 to 2. The number of targets affected by this trait has been increased from 5 to 10.”
I dont understand at all what this means. Can somebody give me a example case and explain it in a way that leaves no questions to be asked?
This is how I understand it:
If 10 people are stacked in same spot and all need healing and the druid heals them with a skill, lets say: Seed of Life , the druid still only heals 5 people and only 5 people would get GotL bonus.
If same 10 wounded people are stacked again and this time druid heals them with Rejuvenating Tides the heal will pulse 5 times and every time it pulses it will heal 5 people and give 1 stack of GotL to people it healed.
What is the case where you can affect 10 targets with GotL? Is there a skill that can heal 10 people at same time? Did the target limit increase do nothing?
Asura racial skills can summon them too:

I haven’t really played with it, but the lifesteal made me wonder: does the lifesteal from the signet stack with the lifesteal that necros get naturally on their downed 1 skill?
Hi,
It seems to me that it does indeed stack. I let a White Mantle patrol put me down without doing anything to them and then used skill 1 to kill one of them and rally. I took a look at the combat log and looks like the signet did trigger for every necro down state #1 tick.
Hi,
I was wondering what people think about the new downed skills Signet of Agony ?
As most of you know it is the 5th downed skill shared between all professions and can only be used in open world, dungeons and fractals. It does not work in pvp, wvw or raids. It is gained through Spectral Aid -mastery and to be able to train it you must own HoT.
The signet passive is automatically on when you go downstate and makes your attacks steal life. I don’t know if there is an internal cooldown on life steal. Signet active gives Spectral Agony -damage to opponents in huge area and also a lot of torment (I saw like 12 stacks on Pocket Raptors when I was testing this) and other conditions too.
I think it is pretty powerful. I went to HoT maps with my full viper ranger and let the enemies down me on purpose. With signet passive I was able to rally from previously impossible situations and signet active was a huge bomb too, it for example 1 hitted the group of Pocket Raptors that downed me in testing.
As for what I think about the skill I was first very surprised to see something like this. We have seen new skills that are limited to their own maps previously and I thought the masteries are going to be like that. I really don’t know what to think now that I have gotten over the initial surprise. I don’t know is it too good or not.
EDIT:
A direct example of this skill in action is that I was able to solo https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Coztic_Itzel_Belongings Hero Point -event on my ranger. Even though the boss got me downed 3 times he was unable to finish the job because with ranger downed pet heal skill and the signet life gain I was gaining too much life for the boss and was able to constantly rezz my self as a ranger. I hadn’t been able to get the hero point before.
What do you think?

Hi,
Generally runes like this trigger when you use the skill in your “Healing Skill slot”, AKA skill #6. They wont trigger from regen, blasting waterfield, vampiric aura, rune of blood ect.
A2: No, sigils do not trigger these runes.
A3: No, vampiric aura or sigil of blood do not count as healing.
A4: No, boons like regeneration do not count as a healing skill.
Bonus info: The 6th bonus of Runes of Tormenting has a cooldown of 20 seconds. The cooldown is not displayed anywhere, but it can be only used every 20s.

I made a quick test video where I solo the first boss of level 1 fractal with full zerker and my tanky 3000 armor wvw gear.
Its not perfect, but it shows some differences between those armor types. I consider myself a casual player and I prefer the berserker gear.

I made a quick video where I play on guardian and do the first boss of level one fractal on both Full Berserker gear and my tanky wvw gear. Jeah sure its not elementalist, but you can see some difference of being tanky and being full glass:
Looking through it the video isn’t 100% fair comparison, for example the sigils on tanky hammer build are completely useless in this situation and I should have just used the same hammer, and on Berserker gear I start the fight a bit worse ect. But maybe the video is helpful to someone who is thinking should they use full berserker or not.
As for me I still prefer the full berserker, it is just more my style.
Hi,
Somebody made a huge profession/race survey in reddit some time ago. In the results of that poll it shows that Norn Thieves are the most rare combo, followed by charr mesmer, charr elementalist and Norn Engineer.

Hi,
I am playing Endless Blue Quaggan Tonic -build, mostly on open world doing map completion, meta events, social playing ect. I am having some difficult time against tough opponents on all maps and sometimes problems with even normal enemies on HoT maps. For example beating white mantle patrols solo is very difficult (but doable) for me solo.
I usually open the fights by setting a bomb and pulling the opponents to explosion range with skill like Trow Torch and bombard them with Fire Storm . My best skill is easily Shard Volley https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Shard_Volley , if I aim it far behind my opponent and run in close I can make all shots hit the enemy with nice damage. I also use attacks like Plank Buster and Experimental Lazer blast . But not so much as the skills I mentioned before. Sometimes I use bombs to stunlock enemies too. My healing is very limited and I can only heal with Medkits .
As for the gear I have full zerker gear with Runes of Durability . I use some Critial hit boosting oil and some food that gives +precission and life steal on crit.
I was wondering can anyone help me improve the build? What is the meta for Blue Quaggan builds anyway? What skills I should work on getting and what I should forget? Is there anything on the stats that I could change so it would help me?
All help is appreciated.

Sounds awesome! Imagine small asura using skill 5 : D
Skills need some tweaking for example skill #2 is the same as hammer #2 pretty much and should be something else than projectile reflect.
I can confirm it steals 1 boon on interrupt, usually retaliation.
Also I have been told that if you are a revenant and use the staff skill #5 and land it on opponent you can steal all his boons, but after looking some of my recording it doesn’t seem like that.

Hi,
I wanted to complete the new LS as soon as it launches and hopefully have farmed new possible ascended items by 8th of February. However it seems the patch is a bit delayed and its already past 2 AM where I live.
Should I give up my plan and just try again tomorrow or just stay up until the patch is live?
Hi,
I want a bigger radius for my “Toss Elixir” skills. At the moment the radius is 180 or 240 depending on elixir and it is kinda difficult to share boons like stability with such a small range because the elixir’s also have a travel time and a cast time. In the picture below there is the radius visualized.
Other changes I hope for elixirs is that they wouldn’t be reflected by enemy skills and that tossing Elixir B would also act like a stun break like most good stability skills do.

I think 500-100 score could happen even though the teams are balanced. Sometimes a team justs gets very lucky while other team is busy arguing or something.
I doubt any matchmaking could entirely avoid games like that.
Expect games like that to happen every now and then. But if they are happening constantly it might have to do with the league you are on, some players pretty much give up/dont know what to do after they lose the first group fight at middle.
Ok, that does sound weird indeed. How many games it has been like that?
Do you think that you get bad teams more often than your enemy? Do you have the worse team more than 50% of the time?
Here is a quote where pvp dev mentions how your MMR for this season was calculated:
Soft reset: (Previous Rating + 1200) * 0.5
However, everyone’s deviation got reset, so your still move up and down a lot from this new rating.

MMR at the start of season is based on your MMR at last season. If you had MMR 2000 on last one then at the beginning of this you would have ( 2000 + 1200 )/2 + whatever you got from placement games.
What excactly should I see? What is thr problem?
With new account you would have started higher. But if you are going 50/50 against bronze players it is likely that you would do worse against silver players.
My recomendation would be to systematically improve skills and improve build. Practice your skills and wins will come and rating will rise.
If he/she is constantly winning 50% of the games he/she plays at silver, then yeah he/she is most likely better at winning games than someone who is winning 50% at bronze.
HOWEVER. A new player who starts at silver most likely will be outskilled by his/her opponents and most likely will be losing more than winning until he/she loses so much rating that he/she gets to play against same skill level.
Beware, some many of us “who never pvp” are in Platinum League too. But I am sure that with your skills you rise to platinum and above. After all winning against players who are worse than you should be easy.
I cannot tell the new badges from eachother yet. They all look the same to me. Old ones were much easier.
It does make all achievements easier to get. People who work hard for their own ones might feel that their hard shed tears mean nothing.
I had similar feeling with some living story achievement where you had to fight a difficult boss. I had to try it like 2 hours to get it, but my friends “cheesed” their own by playing the living story with 2 players and getting it instantly : /
Overall I would still say that Dulfy and other sites are doing good and important work. The downsides of the easily accessed information they give are really small compared to the upsides.
Sounds fun, I did some brainstorming during a bus drive and here is what I got:
Warrior: ENFJ
Guardian: ISTJ (could be so many things actually)
Engineer: ISTP or INTP
I didn’t get any further.

A message from the PvP Team:
Revenant
Revenant is in an interesting place in PvP. It’s undoubtedly one of the more difficult professions to play, but when mastered it is devastating on the battlefield. We’re going to bring some elements of the main power build down slightly, while attempting to address the lack of stun-break in the standard Mallyx condition build.
- Surge of the Mists: The damage of this ability has been reduced by 50% in PvP only.
- Precision Strike: The damage of this ability has been reduced by 33% in PvP only.
- Warding Rift: The cooldown of this ability has been increased from 12 to 15 seconds in PvP only.
- Debilitating Slam: The energy cost of this ability has been reduced from 15 to 10.
- Pain Absorption: This ability now breaks stun.
Some people seem to forget that most of these skill changes are PvP only and even with some damage reduction Precision Strike will still be good. Its not like these skill changes wont hurt, but Revenant wont be destroyed.
Consider Scholar runes for more damage. Also Sigils of Force don’t stack, so get something like a sigil of air.
No, when you go down you see something like this: http://guides.gamepressure.com/guildwars2/gfx/word/1764179125.jpg
It doesn’t show how much HP you have.
I guess I could test the revive times, good point on that, but how exactly would you test the size of downed HP pool?
Hi!
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Bowl_of_Fire_Salsa
I wonder what this food actually does. I have asked several people and gotten 3 different answers:
1. It doubles your downed health pool and also your actual health when you go down. Downed health pool normally is 3x health pool and with this food its 6x health pool. -> Reviving you is as fast as normally, but killing you with damage is twice as hard.
2. It does not change your maximum health, but when you go down you are closer to being revived than normally. -> You are faster to revive.
3. It doubles your downed health pool, but does nothing else. -> Reviving you becomes slower.
What does it really do? How do you know (I have heard many answers and would like to know why your answer is the right one).
Hi!
This is a feature in guild wars 2. Even melee attacks hit through gates. This most likely wont ever be changed. It is even possible that it cannot be changed!
Is it really such a big deal?
My dream weapon would be a shield.
Skill #4: Skill that blocks attacks and summons phantasmal at the end of channel.
Skill #5: AoE skill that stuns enemies, blocks projectiles and gives quickness to allies.
Jeah it is new!

I recommend you watch some wvw battle videos at youtube. Search “gw 2 wvw raid” and see how the battles are. If that doesn’t look fun to you then I recommend that you wont go wvw.
If you are still interested then you should get a wvw build for your character (tanky build with some team support if possible, metabattle.com gives good direction) and then you should look for a friendly wvw guild in your server. Logging into Eternal Battleground and asking for one is a good start.
1. How do you feel about this stability change?
Overall its great. Fights seem much better now.
2. Is there something else you would like to see done to stability instead?
I would like to see different ways to give stability to allies. Only guardian can do it at the moment and I wouldn’t mind seeing other professions doing it as well.
