This would let you have access to another extra set of 5 more skills. Kinda OP. Each with individual cooldowns, eh.
Could make it so that the Death shroud and Reaper shroud skills share a cooldown, as wel as the shroud cooldown. So if you use a reaper shroud skill and get X seconds cooldown the same number skill in death shroud would share the cooldown.
That would affect f2p players A LOT…. and people without the xpac
edit: nvm you said same life force bar….still kinda unfair for people without hot
Well Reaper is the elite spec that comes with HoT. People who dont buy HoT wont get access to it. Dont really see how its unfair.
3000 bags and a whole lot of nothing.
Endless Batwing Brew is the ONLY item hidden behind pure RNG, and even the price of those will drop before long.
Lol. Its at 440 gold right now and not going down.
Death Shroud on F1.
Reaper Shroud on F2 when using the elite spec.
Ranged and Melee shroud options for Necros using same life force bar.
Yes? No?
All my yes to Dhuumfire affecting the reaper scythe. I love green fire.
I just noticed this when reading the raids announcement.
Is..
Is that..
a new flamethrower model?
Mine?
Mine.
Well then like you said, AoE resistance rather than immunity and/or like Lily suggested some way to get minions out quicker so their deaths wont have such a big impact. Just want some way so my minions can either stay in the fight longer or get them back out faster after they die.
Immune? No, because then minions could literally infinitely tank bosses without them ever dropping aggro, because the game doesn’t always tell the difference between the main target and others incidentally hit by AoE.
Minions should have AoE % damage reduction in every game mode though.
I meant immunity just to AoE attacks, they would still be able to be killed by direct attacks. So if they gain aggro they will die just as before, AoE immunity would just ensure they survive the usually massive amounts of AoE being thrown around.
Only if if wouldn’t effect pvp in any way shape or form.
Yep, thats what I was thinking. In pvp it would be too OP but in pve it wouldnt considering pets die extremely fast. Would allow the use of minions during aoe heavy boss fights and events without them dying as soon as they’re summoned.
First of all, thank you for fixing minions anet. They seem to be very responsive during combat now.
Moving on, there are probably a lot more things with minions that need fixing but one thing I think really, REALLY, needs to be done is to make minions immune to AoE attacks and effects in PvE and make them instantly regenerate health when out of combat so that they only get killed when targeted directly by a hostile NPC.
Having to use utility slots and using traits for minions that become a source of damage and utility only to have them instantly die to a boss AoE attack is .. well .. unfair.
Pretty please, Anet? Would be awesome being able to do dungeons and events with minions that don’t die in the first 3 seconds of the fight.
I just tested, they attack instantly. I’m loving it, now I can finally use minions. Even the jagged horrors attack
That does look like the Reaper. Too bad shouts arent with a voice like that.
I also notice how all his attacks are easily dodged and then his enemy runs away with no way to catch him. Lol
All my yes. I would buy a pet skin pack instantly and would change my spec just to be able to have skeletons summoned. Make it happen Anet, its a potential gold mine for you!
With the Reaper on the horizon and all things Death being hyped, and rightly so, I figured I’d bring this up as a reminder to Anet of something crucial that is missing from the Necromancer.
We’ve got the hood, now we just need the rest of the armour. My money is waiting for it.
+1
Making it pierce baseline would be great.
I like Dhuumfire because it turns Life Blast into green fire and I like green fire.. thats pretty much it.
Doesnt do much damage but it looks cool.
Probably dropping spite. Soul Reaping is a must for me and I’ve gotten really attached to Blood Magic. The new traits should hopefully make up for the sacrifice of spite.
I tried using bone minions as part of a melee siphon build, spawning more bone minions as I kill enemies, all of them siphoning health, exploding on death and transfering conditions. Had some potential I thought.
Only one issue: Pets wouldn’t attack anything at least 75% of the time, the remaning 25% some of them attacked but I don’t think I ever saw all of them attack a target when I did. So I switched over to wells for the siphons.
I like minions, I want to use minions, I can’t use minions because they don’t work.
Scepter/pistol + staff. Shatter condi.
I’d be happy if they just gave necros an “Attack” pet command to actually force pets to attack the current target. 50% of the time when fighting my pets do nothing except stand there looking on while I fight. After a 3-5 seconds a few MIGHT start attacking but most likely not.
Only way I can actually get them to start fighting with me right away is if I can make them stand right next to the enemy when I start fighting.
Seriously, make pets more responsive. Make them instantly attack whichever target the player is attacking.
The current mortar visual looks.. well, pathetic. An elite kit using a rifle model that looks like it’s from a starting zone. Imagine if the Necromancer Lich form elite turned the character into a bone minion..
Anet, this would be a far better looking and fitting look for the mortar kit:
I like the new flamer and I think the bonus damage traits we had before have been made baseline with it because pre patch my tooltip damage was hovering around 1300 with the might stacks, now its well over 2000. Overall damage seem to be the same or even a bit better than pre patch. My engineer is very happy with this!
I tried it out as well, can’t see any difference in the attack speed. So either its working but its so insignificant that its barely noticable, or its bugged and not working. Either way its not a grand master worthy trait.
Compare it to Imagined Burden, the greatsword grand master trait. 2 stacks of might when player and illusions uses spatial surge, AND cripple on ALL greatsword skills. Plus a cooldown reduction.
Scepter gets an attack speed buff that should be baseline and a cooldown reduction. At best this is a master trait or it needs a serious buff to make it worthy of grand master. How about all scepter skills inflict 1 stack of confusion? Or increase condition duration? Or something.
I don’t get why its a grand master trait… Considering how slow scepter is normally the attack speed buff should be baseline.
Will engineers finally be able to get rid of our hobo sacks? (AKA kit backpacks covering back items)

Ones which i tend to lean towards are:
Occultist
Witch/Witch Doctor
Exorcist
Warlock
Sorcerer
Spellbinder
I would die of happiness if its called Witch Doctor.
Make Flame Jet trigger retaliation once every second or once every half second ONCE no matter how many targets are hit so it can actually be used at all in WvW.
Already have to be in close range to use it so we’re not exactly safe anyway.
I want to use Flamethrower in WvW. Let me. >:|
Have flame jet do more damage the fewer target it hits. If it hits maximum number of targets it does the current damage. Then AoE damage would be as it is now but would make it viable as a single target DPS kit as well.
Or each time flame jet hits during the channel it inflicts a burning damage tick, or maybe something unique to the flamethrower. GASP! Yes, I said it. Something unique, like a specific type of burning only for the flamethrower to allow burning damage ticks of under 1 second.
Another thing, they should make it so retaliation only hits every 1 second, or every half second, when using flame jet to give it SOME viability in WvW instead of it being an instant death sentance.
The problem with making an entirely new elite means that every other class needs to get a new elite as well which means they’ll need to come up with these new elites, design them, balance etc which would take far longer than just changing mortar from immobile to mobile.
An immobile mortar will likely never be a threat simply because it is immobile, and being immobile in WvW, or anywhere, likely means death because mobility means survival. It might have some small use on walls in sieges or shooting onto walls but that’s a very small use and an elite skill shouldn’t be so useless at everything except in one situation in one part of the game, that’s my opinion at least.
(edited by Crion.8465)
Engineer mortar should have been done like Horrik from Fractals. A shoulder mounted mortar/cannon that allows the engineer to remain mobile, able to use it for a certain amount of time before it “overheats” or even making it an elite kit with the drawback of reducing movement speed etc, whatever. Point is: Non-stationary shoulder mounted cannon/mortar.
Make it happen, A-net.
800 gems for a finisher.. a bit much for just that. It’s kind of awesome though, but still.
… I read the title, fell for it …
kitten you. :p
Mainhand Pistol
1 – Triple Shot: Fires 3 shots in quick succession that bounces between up to 3 enemies. (Possibly increased to 5 shots if dual wielding pistols?)
2 – Acrobatic Shot[10 second cooldown]: Fires a single shot at an enemy that inflicts X condition while doing an acrobatic jump backwards and leaving behind a clone.(If no enemy target selected the mesmer will jump forward instead but create no clone. More mobility.)
3 – Illusionary Barrage[25 second cooldown]: Fires X amount of shots that hit the 3 closest enemies in a cone infront of you with an X% chance per shot to bounce to an additional enemy. Cooldown reduced depending on how many illusions are active at the time of skill usage[5%/10%/15%] (Increased number of shots if dual wielding pistols perhaps?)
Or something like that. Would allow mesmers to actually have a weapon that is able to tag enemies far more efficently.
Pistol mainhand
1- Auto attack extremely similar to staff air1, a bouncing bullet. Maybe less damage but increased projectile speed. Only bounces from enemies, not allies. Pure damage nothing else, decent for tagging GASP!
2. Low damage AoE circle that stays on the ground for 3 seconds, 8 second cooldown. Great for tagging GASP!
3. Weaker version of what the pistol phantasm does, decent single target damage on whatever cooldown.
tag tag tag tag
I agree. Mainhand pistol with quick bouncing bullets and AoE for tagging. Seriously, more tagging at range, less of a condition weapon and more of a straight up power weapon. Scepter and Staff projectiles can be outrun by snails and are single target. Moar tagging. MOAR.
Here’s Joculari, my confusion mesmer.
What armor is this?
Looks like it’s at least the same chest and gloves (and I’m pretty sure the boots are the same set as the gloves) as these:
Torrok Blizzard, Norn Mesmer
So Crion or cerulean (or anyone else), what are those chest and gloves? :P
(Crion’s legs are ascended, shoulders are human t2, and mask is of course one of the three starter masks.)
Chest, gloves and boots are from the Trickster gemstore armour set.
This still hasn’t been fixed in over a year? Can’t they just make the normal back item override the hobo sack when it’s toggled as visible?
Seems like such a simple thing to fix …
I want them too. I’ve got money burning a hole in my pocket waiting for the Gift Finisher.
Are we going to see the Gift Finisher from last year make an appearance in the gem store?
I sure hope so, I didn’t get it last year.. something I now regret a lot. I really want that title.
Any chance of this making an appearance in the gemstore this year?
I missed it last year and have money waiting to be spent on it.
Do want.
Found them. They’re the Light ascended boots [&AgE+uwAA]
Saw them here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ete1klhtpGw
Chest: Trickster’s
Hands: From the Masquerade set
Feet: Not sure, think I’ve seen it in one of the WvW vendors, might be a lower level skin.
Do the Queensdale champ farm, that will earn you karma with every champion since they’re events. My friend is currently doing that to earn karma for shards and she’s earning it quick.
Anyone else having this problem? I noticed it just now and never had this problem before, think its after the latest patch. Strangely it seems to only affect my necromancer.
Someone with seemingly unlimited resources and manpower to be able to build these things across an entire continent, someone who has unlimited reach and can do anything and get away with anything and can never be caught no matter what she does and can go head on against the armies of 5 races…
Yep. Scarlet again.
Looks high tech. Maybe Inquest are allying with Scarlet now along with Dredge and Flame Legion and Nightmare Court and Krait and.. wait, who’s left?
