We definitely don’t want to go to the level of fragmenting the game to the extent that we have PvP, WvW, and PvE versions of all the skills as that creates a disconnect with the characters we want you to use in all those places. That said, we are certainly discussing the idea of adding skills that would have a WvW focus. But they are just on the discussion level.

IMHO, you already have that. Just about every class has skills that are so useless in WvW that no one uses them. Look at Guardian pets. That’s almost a quarter of their slot skills rendered irrelevant. Fragmented or gelded. You decide.

For those of you salivating at the prospect of killing Plok, lemme be the one to burst your bubble of murderous rage. He’s gone. He’s left the guild, the game, and the interwebs. He doesn’t even have a computer anymore and doesn’t seem to want one.

For the record, Borlis’s rise is thanks to Kyle Finnigan’s SOUL and Varlen/Deltona’s good folks in WFD that took it on themselves to do what needed to be done for the good of the server. This started long before either GOAT or BURN left, and continued after because of their improvements and the influx of fresh blood from other servers. I’m kind of sad to recognize so few guild tags on Borlis players, but it’s the nature of things to change.

Honestly, despite our former leader’s frustration with Kalkz, DtC Justice, and Evilzara, most of GOAT left because, win or lose, we were getting bored with the game and changing servers was better than quitting the game completely.

So… meh.

The max is 20. More can flip theirs on, but they won’t show up on the map.

Speaking of weak, had a few skirmishes with GOATs today. They fell as easily as other Mag guilds do without an AC behind them. I guess ME is still the best Mags guild

Sorry, buddy. We only had about 10 GOATs max running tonight because chasing kites ate our communal brain earlier in the day.

Just to be clear, GOAT left a server that is not only continually winning, but growing by the week. We didn’t move because we finally wanted to win, we moved because we wanted to contribute. We wanted a server that values skill over numbers and the needs of the server over the egos of a few. We aren’t huge—we rolled 23 at reset—but we are enthusiastic and felt that Maguuma fit our play style and could absorb our small guild into their server without any issues. We’re keeping a low profile while we figure out our place in the established order. To bash Maguuma because GOAT transferred is just silly. We’re still trying to learn the jargon.

Tiers mean nothing anymore. There will be no meteoric bandwagon rise, like Kaineng’s, in the future. Crying ‘bandwagon’ just makes you sound quaint. Expect a lot of volatility over the next week as guilds find their fit. People will shift to where they are having the most fun. Leaving a winning server because the way they won just wasn’t fun made sense to us.

Only a WvW guild thinks it’s funny when they kick off a Guild bounty and realize no one has any way points there.

I suspect the problem is that your server is full of ppl like you who have only bothered to play when they had to for daily or monthly. Servers have personalities, and it seems yours is too casual to be more than fodder.

Borlis had a short streak where we pasted everyone with no challenge for three weeks in a row. Anvil’s last matchup in T6 was a blowout that left them with a bad taste for lopsided too. We do understand your feels but…

EBay spent a lot of time jumping up and down between tiers and facing fresh opponents for a long time before you got stuck in here. You had a lot of fun winning and a lot of fun losing as you bounced between T4 and T5. I think it might have given you a false impression on how much fun getting constantly kicked in the face is.

You say you understand a humiliating defeat because you got pasted by Kaineng on their climb to dubious glory. But you faced Kaineng how many weeks in a row…? One? That must have been rough. Yeah, you guys totally know our feels…

Efforts were made to make this match up more fun and they failed. I think you’re gonna just have to deal with the new reality until they fix the point system. I don’t see anything changing until then. T5 sucks.

Someone leaked beta gameplay. Turns out to be kinda… meh. I know, I know, betas are still betas and stuff can change, but not an old game engine. It was depressingly underwhelming. That cinematic trailer set the bar too high. They better cancel their PtP plans or it will be the biggest flop since Warhammer online.

Well Kodiack, I wouldn’t actually go there, considering everytime our server sees your guys, all we can joke about in TS is “Ooo, free loot bags and WXP!” I’ll be honest, until this alliance, we never saw a group of BP as much of a threat. Well played, Anvil. Just to be clear, you didn’t see our zerg at hills because they went to bay, knowing you weren’t there anymore. Half the force flipped it just as hills’ inner gate was going down while the rest of us tried to slow you down. That was a fun fight for the Lord’s room. My bags were full. Unfortunately, EBay flipped Bay again while we were fighting.

Didn’t take us too long to get it all back, and there was much loot to be had in the process.

Who did what in the last thread? I miss all the fun…

Also? Not casting blame, or calling anyone out, but it’s obvious there’s something goofy with the walls and word is spreading quickly. I have seen an EBay charr thief sploit into the SW tower three times in a row before getting bored and going away. No idea how he did it, but he popped back in twice after being caught that first time in the lords room trying to solo the claimer. There was no point to it. He wasn’t strong enough to solo the tower, couldn’t help a teammate get in, and EBay came and snagged that tower later through legit methods anyway.

The last thing this matchup needs is widespread suspicion of cheating. All we can do is commit to NOT using this glitch, report it to ANet, and cooperate with other servers when they catch our folks doing it. I’d rather a clean loss than a dirty win any day.
