I agree that there should also be a way to get the blue infusion using 90 cosmics.
As the op stated, just make blue infusions account bound if gotten with cosmics – that way the TP ones will still retain their value given how long it takes to obtain 90 cosmics.
Nah, 99 cms without deaths is harder than 100cm. I saw 100cm without deaths several times since its recent introduction. Havent seen a 99cm without deaths for a long time. There is literally at least one death per bullet hell part, not to mention other random deaths.
Overall I would say 99cm is easier to finish, but doing it with no deaths is harder than 100cm.
Totally agree. Usually someone dies during a bullet hell part, and so this isn’t as ‘gimme’ of an achievement as you might think (for pugs at least).
Are the red and blue infusions the same visually, the only difference being that red is account bound and blue isn’t? I have the red one, but it looks pretty blue to me.
Either way, at least you can still redeem the 90 cosmics for the Endless Chaos Combat Tonic.
…and in addition to that i am using superior maintenaince oil… get to 67.7% boon duration.
Thanks for the info
Does the superior maintenance oil give any added boon duration? From reading the wiki, it doesn’t appear so, but I’m probably not interpreting it correctly.
With the recent changes to concentration/boon duration (e.g. platinum doubloons now being +40 concentration instead of +4% boon duration), what foods and utilities now offer the most concentration/boon duration?
Finally got this.
I used a condi guardian (staff & all traps for my utils/elite) to kill the first 40.
My goal was to finish off the 3rd wave before Shadow escaped (I did that right before the 2 min mark). What I noticed is that doing this prevents the next wave from being of the ‘godly powerful/gg’ variety.
So then the 4th wave spawned, and since they were normal like the 1st 3 waves, I also killed off those.
However, before the last ‘godly powerful’ group spawned, I didn’t lay any traps and ran to the back of the room.
Fortunately, Anise/Keira didn’t follow me, and she killed the last 10
Overall a highly annoying achievement though (especially for 1 measly AP!), since once they locked onto me I couldn’t get them to de-agro no matter what I tried, and since they are so tough it’s pretty much gg once that happens.
(edited by Day Trooper.3605)
Any tips on how to do Precision Blade now? (I’m a Mesmer)
I’ve tried letting Anise get the agro, but if the enemies see me at all then I can’t break their agro (despite using OOW and Ash Legion Spy kits), and they hit so hard that it’s gg at that point.
Help!
Don’t aggro them. Before Shadow leaves, run to the other side of the room. When they move, run around the same direction they are to avoid aggro. Quickly revive a group of shining blade and then run again in the same direction they’re running to avoid aggro.
Will give it a try and let you know how I do – thanks!

The people that think they got it before the Tuesday update are confusing this one with “Dispersed Anomaly”.
If you read the text description and compare to the one for “Dispersed Anomaly”, it says absorb while for Fragmented it says reabsorb.
Perhaps to get the achievement you have to have it absorb one and only one to get it.
Dispersed Anomaly states ‘before it can absorb any coalescences’
Fragmented Anomaly states ‘without it reabsorbing any fragments’
My understanding is coalescences are different that fragments.
Further, regarding the fragments, the wiki states the Ley-Line Anomaly ‘will become untargetable, /cower, and spawn several Anomaly Fragments
for a minute when defiance bar is broken; during this time, its defiance bar is “locked” from regenerating.’
So according to the above, when he’s cc’d he spawns the fragments, and so the goal of the achievement should be to prevent him from ‘reabsorbing’ any said fragments.
Since I just did a run where no fragments were absorbed, if my logic is correct then the cheevo is (still) bugged.

What a scam…. this fractal just can’t be done… ive pass 6 hours with my elit-team… we have not done the last boss… just impossible.
Your elite team needs practice.
And then, the next night, I hop on and see someone advertising for a ‘Leaves No Hero Behind’ run. I thought what the heck, let’s try this out.
And whaddya know? We did it! Complete pug run with no voice comms – just a quick chat discussion beforehand with the leader on basic strats (a lot of that was burning down bosses during their last health phases).
Big congrats. Goes to show that if you have the right mix of players things work.
Must be a terrible burn for all the people with organised voice comm and raid practice who haven’t succeeded yet.
My guess is the fractal will fall into place once bugs are fixed and the new elite specialisations are out. Still a great feat finishing it at this point in time.
Many thanks Definitely felt good to do it and definitely possible with the right team and, just as important, the right attitude!
Keep the faith man!
I was in a similar boat also thinking “When will I ever complete this!?!”. I mean, I knew I would eventually, but seeing lfgs start asking for ‘The Archdesigner’ title did make me feel added pressured to do it soon.
I was also on vacation and couldn’t play the fractal until like 5 days after release, further putting me behind the 8-ball. And I only pug as well.
Then, seemingly out of the blue, I had my first successful run! Now I will say on that run, I don’t think the Arkk floors fell at all, and so obviously that was a huge factor in completing it.

What’s really nice is how nobody ragequit at the first or subsequent deaths – everyone could tell we had a good group and that we’d eventually get it that night if we just kept going. And indeed we did (on that run, the floors started falling at 40%, and so I feel like we truly earned the achieve.)
And so op, just keep at it and I’m sure your hard work will eventually pay off
(Mods – do you mind moving my post before Cyninja’s directly above? I had to delete/re-post and now it’s out-of-order).

Sometimes while meleeing Arkk I’m hit with this massive ~18k attack which I can’t pinpoint – anyone know what that is?
I’m mostly interested in HOW you got hacked in the first place OP.
This is my question as well. And as I asked earlier, do you have two-step verification enabled on your account?
@ op, do you have ‘2-Step Verification’ security enabled?
I happened to get lucky yesterday and get the skritt half completed of honorary crew member, and also completed execute the executioner. I found a multi-map squad that was trying to find one map willing to fail. Once we got about 40-50 people in one map, we scaled the event so hard with no one participating in killing, that it did eventually fail. The event for execute the executioner happened shortly after the failure, I believe it was a bit south and east of the town itself. I managed to tag one of the torchbearers and got credit, but the event was over in literally 30 seconds.. maybe even less. A lot of the zerg said they didn’t get credit. After that the zerg went to the ship to await the skritt event, I think we had 60 people there and were able to kill everything without any supply getting stolen. We waited another 15 minutes and tried the event with the white mantle (Saidra was retaken in that time) and we failed. Yes, a zerg of 60 people failed because some of the runners were dropping portals right on top of the supply. It seems like others have said to be impossible without a very small group.
This must be bugged too then, as I’ve hit the torch bearers each time I’ve tried it and still haven’t received credit qq.
How do you even get ‘Execute the Executioner’?
I’ve tried this 3 times now and each time I never see the ‘Executioner’ but only ‘Torch Runners’ (which I’ve killed). What gives – someone please clear this up!
The Saidra’s Haven event where the White Mantle attacks Saidra’s Haven has to fail. When it fails, the next phase starts, then you try to liberate the town and you will get it.
I don’t think this is right as I’ve heard people say they got it right after the ‘Torch Runners’ event ends, which happens before you liberate the town.

And now the all important question, what is the approximate drop rate?? (lol)
Have you checked Material Storage? Minis used to be stored there. And I don’t know if gw2efficiency.com would catch that location or not.
That’s it! Thanks, I knew there was no way I’d ever delete that mini
Thanks – yes, I do have a gw2efficiency.com account and it’s not turning up there. So I’m really at a loss as to what happened.
Guess my next step is to contact support (surely they’ll restore it as I have the achievement!)
I was recenty looking at my minis and noticed that my Liadri was missing.
Does anyone know what could have happened to it? There’s absolutely no way I deleted it myself, and so I’m totally confused as to what’s going on.
Player Name: Pixel Pixie
I really like the 100 mote and would like to do regular runs as well (beaten it twice so far).
And yes, I have the infinite pot and will also use food/utils.
Anyone have a good druid guide they can link? (with recommended armor/weapons/utilities/etc.?)
As the title suggests, are the Deeply Discounted Fractal Encryption Keys worth it?
Despite their cost (1 fractal relic + 20s; gated to 30 keys per day), I believe will still give a decent profit – but just wanted to make sure.
Thanks!
I have a related issue. Currently I can’t purchase additional firestones from the Kodan npc.
I’m really hoping this is a bug? As obviously I don’t want to redo the story anytime I want to access the Bitter Cold qq.
Not sure when the change occurred, but I see now that there’s a cheap recipe for Commander’s stats. So I was thinking about upgrading my ascended armor to full Commander’s.
With the additional boon duration, is this the best choice for a chronomancer? (boonshare variant)? If not, what am I failing to consider?
Commander’s also increases toughness, so could that be an issue? (i.e. drawing aggro away from the intended tank?)
Yes, the infusion extractor works on all infusions on any piece of ascended gear.
Great – thanks!!
Can we use the Infusion Extraction Device to remove Moto’s Infusions? (I haven’t yet decided which Kaiser weapon I want yet and so can’t really try this myself). Thanks!
Not really since this fractal seems to favor individual ability (e.g. lots of dodging/evading/jumping) over that of the group’s performance as a whole.
Which is great and means you should be able to use your Revenant.
With that said though, I’m sure that a meta(s) will be created for this soon enough.
We just completed this and it only took like ~45 mins or so – really great pug! And that was with a few wipes (all of us were experienced and knew what to expect though).
I’m sure that soon really pro teams will be doing this in <30 mins.
And yes, this is by far my favorite 5-man content
(edited by Day Trooper.3605)
I agree – I love the added challenge as well!
However, can you guys offer any tips to get around the 2nd ‘orb cap phase’ of the final boss? Last night we went at it numerous times but never could get past that part
Also, can you even get the ‘Up to the Challenge’ achievement if you haven’t yet completed ‘Nightmare Fractal’? (this is ofc assuming you party up with someone who can open Challenge Mode.)
4 always spawn. If the mesmer is in zerk gear? Maybe but it’ll be tough for sure
Thanks, we thought it was 4 too.
At least this means someone can help mesmer kill one if can’t do solo.
For those who’ve tried this, how many Echo vets spawn at first phase during the 2nd boss? Is it 4 or 5? I’m asking as it looks like you have to kill all these vets or you insta-wipe , and if so it becomes a dps race there
And for those who beat this, can a mesmer melee one down quickly enough?
(edited by Day Trooper.3605)
For anyone still needing these..
What I found easiest to do was (with a small group of 3-4 for scaling) collect your one crystal and then immediately start killing inquest/golems.
Our group of 3 just succeeded on two in a row doing it this way.
This seems to be the dulfy guide: Ley line anomaly current events guide
Agh. Strange that I didn’t notice this before.
Hopefully I can get a few peeps to try and help me with these soon!
Darn. Can these be solo’d? I sorta tried one but it looks tough.
Today (using GW2 Efficiency) I happened to come across 6 hidden current event achievements that I missed from several months back (July I believe):
Fiona’s Stockpile
Flinnz’s Retirement
Garen’s Defense
Keadin’s Study
Loonaloo’s Paycheck
Shana’s Ambition
I currently don’t even see these on either the GW2 wiki currently or Dulfy.
Am I the only one who missed these? And do people still do them?
Ok I see the sprites – thanks!
Where is Seis Burntheart now? I’ve looked at all the possible locations and can’t find her.
Or is this a ‘one-chance only’ thing? (qq)
I am interested in joining, however a big part would be when are raid times/days.
Thanks.
Same goes for me. When do you normally do runs?
ARGH! This is exactly the time I need as I simply can’t raid at or close to reset like most guilds require (having a family makes that impossible).
However, while I’ve seen Vale Guardian and a few other fights, I’m still definitely a trainee and so doubt you’d take me (but if you get desperate though just let me know My ele is raid-ready).

^And don’t forget UW! (my absolute favorite).
UW wasn`t that much of a favourite with me i must admit
Here’s one of my favorite UW builds – with it I could solo-pop the Lab reaper (which was pretty cool since I could survive the extremely hard-hitting Bladed Aatxes).
http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l144/Day_Trooper/gw668_age%201%20solo%20restore.jpg
Regarding the GW1 skillsets, even if GW2 had them it seems that the effort would be a bit ‘wasted’ as the majority of GW2 enemies have ‘vanilla’ builds (i.e. no hexes or stuff like that).
And so the extra skills wouldn’t have the same impact as they did in GW1 since there’s less to deal with in GW2.
Ofc that’s from a PvE standpoint – I can’t really comment on PvP as I don’t play it that much.
^And don’t forget UW! (my absolute favorite).
One big thing I loved about the original GW was the trial and error aspect of build-making.
Way back in the game’s early days, I fondly remember working on various builds to solo hydras outside of Augury Rock. What I love about the process was that satisfaction you get when it finally works! (and by works I mean not dying lol).
http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l144/Day_Trooper/DT_MegaHydraFarmin.jpg
In fact, that’s another thing that’s a bit disappointing about GW2: you can basically get through most content with ‘any old build’ whereas in GW not having the right build (soloing at least) meant death.
Yes I know a lot of folks prefer it this way, and there’s little chance things will change now, but just thought I’d throw my 2 cents in.
(edited by Day Trooper.3605)
@Kryle, yes plz send me a guild invite. If anything, perhaps I can be a backup sometime!
Agh I would love to join you guys on my Power Tempest as I’m older with a family, but I can’t play that early qq :/ (my raid time would normally start around 10pm cst).
I’m (finally) getting into raiding and am looking for a guild which does nightly runs in the 8pm -12am pst range. Are there any guilds like that out there??
While I don’t have much experience yet, the reason is mainly due to not finding a group which can run when I’m normally on…
