Do you have a mechanical keyboard?

This has happened 3 times already.
I am in a Dungeon or a Fractal and we list the party on lfg.
For some reason, the person who joins is in a squad and everyone inside the Dungeon/Fractal party gets inside the squad and out of the Dungeon/Fractal automatically.

Note: I admit I only searched the first page for a similar issue. If there is another topic with the same problem, my apologize.

I wonder where are the people constantly telling folks to run pingplotter now (because surely, there is no possible way it’s anet’s servers to blame)

See, that’s the problem right here. This is not work or business. It’s a game – an entertainment.

Some people seem to really keep forgetting about it and think that everyone should treat it really seriously, as if it were a second job.

The poor soul said he just wants to have fun in game because he has enough problems in RL, managing his company.

Two kinds of players kick:
1. little brats that want to feel good about themselves or make room for a friend.
2. players who want to do their T4s is short time and can’t stand bad players anymore.

OP most likely got hit by the 2nd type.
I cannot even count how many times I started doing T4s with players having ZERO AR and no clue about mechanics.
How long can one carry such players? Ad Infinitum?
Of course, if you are a bad player and by bad I mean no skills, no gear and no knowledge of the encounter, a DPS meter looks like a torture tool.
And even if you are a good player, someone always find a reason to kick.

Simple: make some friends if you don’t have some, create a group and have fun.
Want to be really good at Fractals/RAIDS? You will need a DPS meter.
Want to just tag along for the loot? Expect kicks.

You gotta love that the client enumerates all possible reasons but one: server failure.

Anet is not responsible for the thousands of nodes that various players pass through across the globe. They are responsible for maintaining their servers.

You do realize that at this level of traffic, Anet has contracts with big ISPs and traffic providers.
They don’t keep their servers on a residential line or the run off the mill fiber optic cable.
Best you do what you said at the end of your post and stop writing stuff you don’t know about.

This is getting out of hand.
I have several friends with which I am doing dailies, fractals, etc and we all experience sudden disconnects and huge lag spikes, no matter where we are.
It can happen in Dungeons, Fractals, Story missions or just roaming and it is happening for some time now.
We usually have 30-40 ms latency.
Would love a fix sometime this decade.

To all the people that might say ‘it might not be Anet’s fault, but your ISP":
-most of us are on the same ISP. How come only some of us get these lag spikes and disconnects at one point?
We use TeamSpeak so we know when this happens.

“Fun” fact: I recently did Migraine.
Can’t even count the number of people disconnected in the middle of the mission. Thus…9 freaking hours to get the darn achievement!

As for the numbers, we are a guild with 80+ people online everyday.
Some do raid, but very rarely.
There are some organized raids. Like one every week or so. One squad.
So my impression is that the % of players that are actually raiding is very very small. I am talking about those that raid not those that kill one boss and call it a day. Or even worse, those hat pay for a boss kill.

And yes, raiding community is the problem. The fact that there are a few guilds that try to help new raiders…drop in the ocean.

So when you are pressing V while gliding you perform a dodge, per Mastery description.

Normally, when someone says “You are wrong” written in bold letters, they usually provide some evidence.
So, do you have any?

People keep taking side of Anet and “RNG is RNG”: do you have any clue when and how Anet changes drop rates? Don’t think so because Anet does not state this.
It is clear that in certain zones, loot drop for various items is changed from time time.
I wish “RNG was RNG” but when someone can control it, there is always a problem.
I guess state lottery is also RNG by some standards…

If Fractals were like this when they first emerged, everyone would have gone mental saying that it is too difficult; hint: Level 100 CM, Social Awkwardness, Last Laugh, etc.
The content is “easy” for those who learned the tactics, those that are lucky to have a good party and good gear.
My opinion is that loot can be improved.

Yes. The drop rates have been changed/lowered.

Please people, stop it with the SSD advice. It is a good advice, but not for the problem at hand.
It is clear that an update messed something up.

Did several runs with 4x Necro and me, the Druid.
Some went butter smooth because people knew their stuff and they were stacking (when possible)
Some went terribly bad, because everyone was running like mad and I could not get buffs or heals on every one of them, for one and like always, there are always more bad players then good ones.
IMHO, player skill trumps class.

Just like dps meters, gear inspect and now the AR check, people against these ideas are most likely people that do not meet the requirements.
Lost count how many players tried to get carried in T4s with zero AR!
At least they should say so and maybe people will be ok to rez him/her.
But keeping quiet about it or even better, having no clue what AR is….
Just saying “Because I don’t wan’t to” does not make it a counter-argument.
All we do here, on forums, is throw ideas around. Most likely, no Anet dev will listen to this anyways.

That’s an issue in general. I can see heralds and mesmers and guardians and etc making the same complaint. That’s a l2p issue, not anything specific to druid.

The pet is not a weapon (tho I wish it would be)
Every class, including Rangers, must unlock their HoT weapons.

Current Events / Bloodstone Harvest

This is the second time it happens, to me at least:
The boss is almost down, in the last case Wyvern, and the rotation changes.
When this happens, the boss will just despawn resulting in a failed attempt and wasted time.

Would be nice to leave the boss “alive” even if the rotation changes when it is under attack.

If you ask any “serious” raider about their opinion of “holy trinity”, most likely they will say: Thank God Anet decided to do without it.
Then they go LFG looking for it

I think the AR check at the lab is no longer there or I missed it somehow, but in the past I met a couple of people that when asked to check their AR, they received damage.
Being a level 100 Mai Trin run, I was not OK to proceed of course.
At that stage, people who were missing AR obviously, would start to talk trash and swear on all saints that it is not fair, that they do have 150 AR and…the most funny one I met, that they wear full vipers and I am out of my mind to ask him to have 150 AR.
So people will be…I guess people.
For this reason, AR check right at start would solve the problem of getting through the level only to find at the end boss or in middle way that some people in the party do not have the AR and in some cases (I met several) NO AR AT ALL while attempting T4s.

Everyday I do my daily rotation of T4 Fractals. I have all Fractal achievements, got the backpack. This would make me hardcore I guess.
I do T4s because the reward is much better, but I also do lower tiers to help out guildies, show them the mechanics or just have fun with friends without being worried about rewards.

If the topic would have been about Fractals, this should have put me in the camp: “NO LOWER TIERS FOR NOOBS” ?
Hell no! The more people get to experience the instances the better.
You are new to Fractals? Maybe try Try Mai Trin on a moderate to low difficulty (with less rewards and no achievements) and if you like it and you think you have what it takes, maybe when you get to level 100 Mai Trin you will have a chance to win because you know what to expect? And because Fractals is a team based content, not only you get to spank Mai Trin, but in the process, you help others in your party win.

All the reasons put forth against this topic lack any kind of common sense or logic.
In the end, this will be ANet’s decision so I R out.

People who are against the idea (it is just an idea after all) are just like people who were against ANet allowing people who made infusions with +5 stat to upgrade to a +7 for some reason known only by them. (just the latest example that comes to mind).

I did as you suggested and I went from 72-75 FPS to 110-115 FPS with Best Appearance.
Same resolution, same settings for video and audio.
I guess Anet should look into this also.
