Scornheart (in Hooligan’s Route) offers the portal stone for free.
1) 30 slots
2) 8 × 30 = 240 slots
Confirm fixed on Desolation server.
What is the name of your keyboard?
Recheck the trees. I got my achievement after a party member destroyed one tree we were missing.
It’s also Ctrl+T, or whatever you want to rebind it to.
What you found was a Mighty Conjurer Mantle which had a rune attached to it. That rune was called Minor Rune of the Grove, and this gave the ‘of the Grove’ suffix to the name of the item.
In your case, on all of your six pieces of armor (helm, shoulders, etc.) you have a single rune of the Grove. This gives you +10 healing. If you find another Minor Rune of the Grove, or if you buy one from the Trading Post (should be cheap), you will be able to attach it to another piece of armor that doesn’t have a Minor Rune of the Grove on it. If you do that, you will now have 2 pieces of armor with minor runes of the Grove on them, which means you can benefit from both advantages given by the rune. You will have +10 healing and also 10% protection duration.
You should read the article on Runes on the Wiki, for more clarification.
I don’t recall any tigers or tiger look like being in the game right now, and that’s why there are no tiger pets. If in a future expansions they will add zones with tigers in them, the rangers could potentially get the opportunity to tame tigers. Until then, I don’t think anyone really knows. This is just speculation.
BTW, in Guild Wars there were tigers in the Factions campaign areas. So maybe they will add them in a future expansion covering Cantha zones. See here.
Ok, first of all, once you reach 80, don’t set your mind straight on exotics. Just buy the cheapest rares you can find on the TP. Then spend some time thinking what exotics you want to get in the end, both as stats, and as looks. You don’t really want to find out mid process that you want gear with other stats.
Also, you might want to take a look here. It could be of help to you.
Quote from Wiki:
‘Unique is used to designate items that you can only equip one of. For example, although you have two accessory slots, you can only have one Ancient Karka Shell equipped, as the item is unique.’
It happens in game all the time, mostly when there are 2+ players in close vicinity. You might also want to check the Wiki page on combos.
Browse all the servers here. Maybe they registered on the site, and maybe they used the same guild name. Small chance, but you never know.
Quote from the Wiki:
’At the base of the tree is the decoy, first treasure chest.
DO NOT OPEN THIS CHEST, it is a decoy. If you open this chest you won’t be able to open the larger chest.’
Reading your topic I assume you have no idea this skritt can pop 4 achievements under the Explorer tab. Read this page, so you know where you can find the skritt again, and get the achievements done.
@OP: the forum censored the word you used between " ". I’m curious you meant ‘horrible’ or ‘awesome’?
Anyway, here are some useful links for you:
GW2 Armor - all the exotic armor in the game
GW2 Armor Gallery - how all the armor in the game looks like
Dulfy - endgame gearing guide
I hope these will help you.
@LithePanther: it actually is stickied :P
@OP: Check this site. Stick around with the Claw of Jormag events, and afterwards say in chat that you LFG HotW exp. Usually on my server there are quick groups forming after the Claw of Jormag fight.
Try to revisit all 6 cities. Maybe one of them has your missing PoI’s and Vistas.
I joined Whitelions two weeks ago, and I love it. The community is great. The guys and gals here are funny as hell. We are involved in all aspects of the game, and we hope more of you will join us to do all sorts of stuff together.
1. If I’m not mistaken, click Alt and drag the stack. A pop-up window should appear and you can split the stack.
2. Hold Ctrl+Shift+H. I think this is listed in the keys menu, so you can probably change it with something else.
3. I don’t know what you mean.
I can’t really recommend any profession, since I only play one since I started. All I can say is, if you have some real cash to throw around, you can buy gems, which can be exchanged for gold, which can be used to fully deck your character once you get him/her to level 80. Of course, there might be some gear sets you want that aren’t available from buying from the Trading Post, which would mean you’d end up grinding some specific dungeons. But if you end up wanting gear sets that are available from the TP, all you need is gold.
Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but until you actually complete this personal story part, you cannot use the asura portal between Vigil Keep and Fort Trinity. You have to report/go to Fort Trinity on foot.
Hello everyone. I’m generally afraid to PuG dungeons, and so far I’ve only PuG’d CoF p1 and 2. I’m currently interested in getting armor that is available for tokens from AC/SF/HotW. Considering the current way the fights are designed, is it possible to recommend the easiest dungeon and/or path out of these 3 dungeons, that can be done in a PuG?
Thank you.
Are you using a Basic Transmutation Stone (yellow colored) on level 80 items? If that’s the case, it’s not gonna work. You can only use them on level 79 items at the most.
Had the same thing happen to me. I closed the menu, opened it again 1 second later, and all was back in English.
I’ve only done it once, but from memory, when it focuses on you, you should get the ability to use skill 1. I think you don’t have that skill until the very moment the eye’s ‘gaze’ hits you.
Are you certain you finished all WvW maps? Maybe you double checked the same borderland and actually missed another.
The same thing happened to me. I got the achievement on the second time I did the Hydra Queen event. And I got gold medal on both occasions.
Did you open another chest along the way? That chest is a decoy, and makes you unable to loot the last chest.
Well, if you could cover the various dungeons, it would help up because there can always be a video who shows a fight from a different perspective.
You were in combat. I had problems like this, and I had to be out of combat to interact with the Vista sign.
You got it how? On a single map or on more? I got it yesterday, but I have to admit I did it from crafting in Divinity’s Reach. Can you confirm it can be achieved even if you change maps? I’m curious.
I noticed the same thing on my character. I only have one ever since I started playing. I’ll update with kitten if I don’t forget.
Edit: apparently the double ‘S’ I used to say screenshot is forbidden…

Try to get up and check the servers status at 4-5 AM. That should be too late for players who stay up longer in the night, and should be too early for the morning players. If at those hours the server is still full, I don’t think you will have another chance on getting in, unless that server performs horribly at WvW and people will try to leave it.
Just my 2 copper. Other people might have other/better thoughts.
This is not one of those MMO’s where the initial 10 levels or so are being gained extremely fast, and then the higher you are the longer it takes to level up. In GW2 the time it takes to level from 7 to 8 is pretty much the same as the time it takes to level from 79 to 80.
As for what to do. Just explore the maps, complete the hearts you encounter, do the dynamic events you stumble upon, gather every resource you find on your travels. All the killing, exploring, harvesting, event finishing, daily achievement completion, give you XP. And if you still find it unsatisfying, start crafting with the resources you gathered, as crafting gives XP also. In the end, you can also jump into WvW, where you can also get decent XP. In fact, if I’m not mistaken (and people can confirm this or not), WvW is quite a good way to gain XP fast.
This is weird/bugged. Can you provide a screenshot, so we can have a look at your UI?
Whenever you are out of combat, those arrows should be visible, and you should be able to click them. This would open a small window containing all the skills available to you. When you are in combat, those arrows disappear, as the game doesn’t allow you to change skills when in combat.
BTW, are you high enough level to actually be able to get and switch utility skills? Or there are icons showing locks on them?
Ebonhawke maybe? Just guessing.
Darn, really? I’ll have to look at this when I get online today. I can’t believe I missed this, and I have 300+ hours played.
I hope I don’t screw up this answer, but there is no ‘items I’ve sold’ tab. There is a tab with the items you are still putting for sale, which shows the item and the amount of coin it is put up for sale, plus a button on the left to remove the item from the TP. Basically, you haven’t sold the item yet, it’s still on the TP waiting for customers.
I play a warrior, but any advice from me will probably suck big time. The only thing I will say is to post this in the warrior subforums for better feedback.
I just looked at the Wiki page for the Ruby Orbs, as I know/knew nothing about them. Are all your armor pieces level 80? The orbs seem to have a level 80 requirement.
@Olaya: Did you go to the Chantry of Secrets?
The usual culprit in such cases is the Chantry of Secrets. Did you go there?
As far as I can tell, anyone can join phase 3, no matter of their involvement in the previous phases. As for what to do. Go to LA, find the NPC at the docks with a ship icon over his name (or on the map), travel to the new area and explore it as much as possible before the event tonight. I’m inclined to think we need to be on the island for tonight’s event. Someone please correct me, or confirm this. For the previous 2 phases we had to be in LA at the beginning of the events.
PS: The game is international and the player base covers all timezones. There is always a bad time for events for someone, somewhere. And it’s probably easier for Anet to do their work when there’s light outside in Seattle.
The Chantry of Secrets PoI has been there ever since launch. It’s not new.
I’ve been playing since headstart, but there are still some things I don’t know. Leaving aside the possibility of forming a multiserver group while being in an overflow, how can people currently form cross-server groups?
The reason of my asking is the fact that I see posts on the forums such as ‘LF3M FOTM’. No additional info given, such as ’I’m on server X’. What if a player suddenly gets interested but the OP is on server X and the new guy is on server Y? How do they meet? AFAIK guesting is not yet in game.
Just curious.
Thank you.
Those were part of Phase 1 of the current event. Since Phase 1 is over, Anet probably removed them.
