- WvW Priorities –
more battle based events. like an area popping up around fighting groups setting up an event with numbers shown on the top right corner eg. 14/14 vs 20/20. This could give an outnumbered buff (magic find). This events should be open field fight only. In case there is an event up it should be secured, so there is no interference with siege. In cases of guild groups you can make a guild scoring system….
they still need some improvements but i like the open field fight there. it feels good.

i dont think you need more colors i think you need a tag visible for your guild only. i just say it like that if i would want to be in the pro league of pvp and say hey lat me play with the best team and there i am the rally bot…
i dond mind running with other ppl but when i tag up for my guild ppl are following me before the blue tag there is no sase being an wvw guild
queue on eb and home bl went for roaming into the other bl and first time saw the changes in dbl.

i think the decision of bringing ABL back was to early. The devs putted much effort into the new maps and there are good change! A bit more changes and no one will complain any more i guess.(strategic point of towers and the distance to them).

Not a good Idea, tbh. If you want to keep your stuff, watch it – common sense.
of corse you will have to watch it and also the towers will have the same scale when there are defenders in and when not so you are not able to get 2 towers while someone is hitting your lord in a keep.
The same time your attacking team number is scaling the lord up the defending team number should scale it down for a %
eg. a fight 10(attacking)vs 20 the lord should scale with -50%.
and i think they need to be harder because you can just solo those lords in DBL. Alpine was harder to solocap a keep tower or camps. i mean i am speaking against most wishes with less pve in wvw. Because you cant even defend a camp any more. one solo dude runs into a fully updated camp kill 2 npcs in less then 30 s leave the rest outside the circle and you see ohh the camp is under attack oh its fliped already… nm
well i think in wvw there are clashing thee different types of ppl together
- some which want to do the pvp challange and want to have the big scale fights including ganking;duelling and so on (those ppl dont care about pve)
- those who seek roaming and fighting in some pve content and get the rush to find a challenger ( they care about the fight in general which means pve and pvp)
- the strategic warfar type those who care about updating objectives and keep the points and the server up (care about tactical pvp and pve)
so of cores most ppl are thinking about less pve but you can’t put it away.
if you would do everyone would complain about to easy caps or a single person can cap a keep….
imo the pve should be more challenging. You won’t have too much night cap problems ; You would have the opportunity to defend a camp… Just remember on alpine what happend when your full updated northcamp was under attack.
i think the scaling system should depend on how many defenders are in the area. if you have a big blob fighting a boss with no defenders it should be very hard for them. the more defenders are in the area the “easyer” it should be. it would give defenders the oppertunity to get to defend the keep/tower/camp and it would create some more fights. the scaling of the lord should last for about 2 mins so if you are fighting with a blob and win the fight it should then be an normal lordkill and cap

what you will have is the same wvw everyone was complaining that there is nothing new… no update since release and ppl got bored
i know scribes have a huge impact to wvw but commanding got more interesting with the tractivators too. You have to think more strategic than before. I am not saying they are in balance but they give an additional bonus to the game mode. Tractivators stop you running headless into keeps at least.
Map
- the northern towers should cover the keeps left and right g8/walls
- keeps need an overview where the opponents are attacking or broke in ( in bay and hills you had a clear sight) eg. a vista or so will give you a look around the possible outer g8s walls…
- keep the new map just change a bit
- sentry shouldn’t only slow dolyaks they should be the alert for camps that you have a chance to defend them. a camp is taken in less then 30s so you have no chance to get there and defend it
General
- camp gards need a buff
- reward track
- oil/canon need to provide more cover for the defender
- sub tags and guild tags
- personal and guild ranking
guild and personal ranking should separate pp Kill/Cap & Defend/Environment
well the problem is that mantras can be quick overpowered.
2 stacks are week I know. 3 stacks are strong. adding more stacks would be insane!
and that’s the main issue with mantras they are extremely hard to balance.
first thing you will have to separate them wvw pvp pve.
well i think the main problem is synergism with other stuff. mantras only work with them self accept distraction.
- healing: is awesome with 3. too low with 2. —> forces you into get 3… no effect on allies
pain: normal dmg quick recharge… yes that’s all
distraction: awesome for interrupting and preventing dmg, stun combo, combo with shatter, vulnerability…
concentration: its nice to have not more. put that together with the effect of resolve
resolve: good strong condiclense but is already covered with healing and the passive so no need to use
- so not onely the combo possibilities also the overall isn’t covered with mantras. mantras forces you to go with power builds 3% for 10s dmg isn’t condi dmg!
it onely effects you and not your phantasm which means you can cut out staff, scepter, torch, focus, pistol, boon dmg….. the onely thing which is effected is gs and sword skills and your f1.
so power it is? where do i get more power to support this trait and i have to do dmg quick because 10s are fast over!.
my thoughts for mantras are :
- put concentration and resolve together. a new —> applies condi burn confusion whatever
- HM needs also condi dmg involved
- HM also effects your phantasm
- maybe a bit odd but what if mantras are also casted around your illusions? or recasting the mantra gives the the mantra effect around your illusions or clones only.
its a big thing with the alacrity.
As a Mesmer you finally got something which actually gives you everything. a good skill rotation, dps….
basically you are constantly dangerous for everyone and everything. + The ability to support your team. I finally got rid of being just the burster
i took skills in which i didnt thought about before because of its long cool-down.
in my opinion you can do
- reduce cds
- add more dmg into the skills or into the traits (eg. Sword)
- add something unique which Mesmers can give to support the group (passive?)
Sad times for me and the my matra just logged in today. But ok both together HM + mirrowblade combo was realy too strong.
it was almost guarantied a 65% bonus on a shatter. +the normal hits you do while the shatter/mantra dmg. thats why the toned it down i guess to 50%?
what i realy dont like is the cd thingy grrrr that was the best thing you mad for mantras althogh it was a bug grrrr.

10 seconds is ways too long for 532 if you go in healing power you get 776^^
before you could heal each time you heal you heal arround you for 500, beeing proced bei everything you have which heals you.
go with healinpower and test your gratsword you heal for 1.5k each aa you do
How does using the GS heal you?
GS AA vamp aura shared the healing to your groupmember back so you got each hit you have done a the proc of your traid and with healingpower you healed 500 each hit you have done
now it is gone!

Yes its a 7.5k on zerker in 1 second + confusion. 1 v1 you land that + one illusin shatter = death.
tryed it with mimic szeptar and the stundsignet in the timewarp. There is no escape right traid +signets its a 8 seconds stund. Its too good to be true.
Logged in had my mantra build on and booom i can beat everything now. Nah thief still hardcounter especial sword pistol ones! Knight gear and melee mesmer is born. Perma protection group shared boons, stability.

haha i dono if you watched the steamers and the mesmers condi dmg its was just insane. it was soo powerful that the devs said we have to fix that because the numbers on the torment aplyed from one mesmer was 3.1k on a nonmoving target per tick.
after 23. vornability increases the dmg of condis aswell. so if you traid right you will have 15stacks of vornability all the time about 12 stacks of torment 10 or more confusion, some bleeds and burning. you can spike your target down with your conditions if you want.
so there is no on deth clone needed after this patch hehe
I realy had troubble playing mesmer lvling was a realy hard. there was no one who helped me accapt my illusions and i was very close to give it up totally. At some point i realised oh in this game you dont have to stand still you can move. Since then it became more and more fun to play.
dungen soloing without dieing, covering behind your clones. I guess i went trough all the so called op things and the: how you can eaven play that.
now i am totally into duelling and i have the feeling i am able to kill everything with my mesmer.
What i like most on the mesmer is that you have the ability to play with your opponents I would say you always have the hidden card. It depens on when you playing it.

I totlly agree with the rest you saying and spamming is the a huge problem.
Although i see more and more players with mantras lately they are still not in balance with other skills a mesmer have. Actually the big issue i see is that most of the mantras stand for themself and dont have synergy with traids, team or any other combination. The onely mantra which does is destruction and that is on a 30s cd if you ran out of charges. Supportradius of the other 250^^ healing mantra non.
the onely thing i see is that you go with your illusions, summen them and then you keep them alive with spaming and healing on recast.
Well the update makes conis more powerful. Just thinking you interrupt 3 targets with your conirup, you tigger 3 times halting strike get 15 stacks of might they get 6 stacks confusion on 5 ppl + if critical a additional. I see myself interrupting empowers on guards in wvw…
Also with AoE F3 for a selfshatter. interrupt confusion + shatter confusion. ( duelling, illusion, chrono)
and dont forget there will be a change for confusion again!

Well at the fist duell against the thief it wanst realy fair you can say beause you got help from the ranger of sm. Havn’t watched the previous videos of you so i cant say how you improoved.
I dono how many duell experience you got fighting ageinst thiefs and I don’t say they are bad but i’d say they are not the best because they didnt waited your francy out, or let himself push out the refugi. Did you expected the dmg or did you put a random frenzy?
Vs thief you have the right possitioning and good handeling to shatter in the right time.
What i also saw that you fight in range vs the staff player which is a good choice that there is no bounceback to the owner = less dangourus
You won the fight against burst ele but there was one hit agains zo left i guess. stealth is your friend here use it and let the illusions do the work und till the very last end. because they are single target burster. if the have to start to think about zour illusins and waist the cds on them you win easyer.
In my opinion shatter is a part of the Mesmer and with the new Baselines you can traid finally for combinations. I think of a combination of mantras and shatter. So that you can get about 70…80% more dmg with good timing. Beforer shatter was onely good with illusionarz persona and the need to traid in the illusion line.
The huge buff for shatter is true. i hope that the other skills can compare with that.

but then ppl saying no we need the boonremoval from the shatter or you loose so much dmg and omg you playing mantras. thats not optimal and no illusionary persona….
you can remove up to 6 boons of 5 ppl with your shatter and do a ton of dmg. nothing will change after the update. shatter is too relyable comapred to interrupt, phantasm, condi, in teamfights.
Zerg fights
i think chronomacer will be the roll of the taktical game play and he have to time his skills right. just image the opponents are incoming with the bomb and will impact and he is able to give his group a blur for 2 seconds+ the eater feeld which is a very strong one for providing dmg.
I have the feeling he is the counterplayer. and will have a importand roll!

the us is summen your Berzerker shatter it with F5 mirrowblade + 1 doge F1 back in time the second mirrowblade and doge and f1 again. this schould be an insane burst combination with 2 times f1 and 3 illusions out.
My specialisation would be
Mainhand Pistol:
- Skill 1 shot: piercing. A bullet is flying from your target towards you (with minor)20% projectil.
- Skill 2 Timed Bullet: hit your target with a bullet, daze it and do dmg after a time
- Skill 3 cripple + blind your target, summon a clone behind you and you can swap with it.
Utilities : corruption
- heal : Give your opponent regeneration (5 Seconds) heal yourself grants healingpower 30 to you and yourgroup
- U1: give your opponent fury gives you and your group bonus 30 precision.
- U2 Give your opponent 5 stacks of might give you and your group bonus 30power .
- U3: Give your opponent protection 5s grands you and your group 30 toughness
- U4: Your opponent gets 5 second of resistance you and your allies gain reduced incoming condi duration by 5% duration.
- Elite: your target gain all boons 10s you and your group do 1% more dmg for each boon on your opponent.
This is combat onely.
maximum stacks are 10.
The cooldown of this should be between 25 and 35 seconds.
The elite should have a 60s cooldown or so.
Traids :
Minor
- bullets you shoot are reversed

- your phantasm have a chance to daze a target on on hit.
- deal 5% more dmg when you hit your target from behind

- reduce the incoming dmg by 3% per number of boons on your opponent
- Illusionary placement. Your phantasm become groundtargeting
- combofinisher projectile grands the effect twice
Grandmaster
- increase the passive effect of your corruption skills
- your illusions become a bullet when activate a shatter (combo finisher)
- interrupting a foe grants 5 reverced bullet on him. He is the center

i dono what you want for necros tbh i find them awsome. sure the wells in wvw are doing the dmg. But thats just current metha you could also play a signet build and on haling/support role you can play condi dmg…
necro is not soo strong in 1v1s or so but he become stronger and stronger in groupfight either it is rogh dmg or any other support
its hard to say who wins i mean if mesmer does his F5 you lay a symbol on the rift and he will be forced to come back very fast depend s on how strong the rift will become.
Gardians does have some extreme power gain you can immobilise for a very long time using eg. F1 which casts the signet and the leap on F2 so you can immobilise him for 7 seconds. means you can land your burst. Blind is still the best weapon against mesmers you have enoght from them just use it!
id say the person will win which is the better player its balanced in traids
for the balance:
i am thinking of what needs a bit a buff and why
- delayed reactions: 3s slow on interrupt. the problem is the actuall effect is 2 seconds or less because the dace or stund will cover this time anyway.
- All well that ends well: you have to increase the number of condins removed by this traid. you cant say if you want to have a condiremoval hmm in 3 seconds i will get it.
What meybe is to strong
- getting a clone when you shatter is extreamly powerful. Sword leap/ immobilise then a F3 F2 F1 you can stund on the first hit daze inflicts voulnarabilit so you get the 60% more dmg with 3 clones on F1 played with mirrow images. That hurts realy hard!!
- Improve alacrity: 33% longer doesnt sound much but we have to keep in mind that the buff itself is very very powerful useing your shatter and some trainds mean you have your swordsman back in 6 seconds ?
- slow on crit: is to strong when you use gs AA for the others you still need to relay on your crits and 3 hits

- lost the time: i hope there is no internal cooldown
- chronophantasmen: very strong! Joice in pve
- Saize the Moment: wow very strong will be the choice in pvp
I do think Mantras need still a buff! but putting just one stack on baseline is hmmm nice but wouldn’t solve the main problem. The biggest problem is that onely our interrupt mantra synergies with other traids than HM.
If you want to have a mantra build you will go with HM and interrupt no other possibilities possible!

Onely in combat!
Recasting a mantra give your next phantasm you summen the effect of this mantra! so if you recharge your mantra the effect will be given to the first hit in the area arround the target beeing hit by your phantasm(additional to the normal Attack). Would mean you can range support your team with stability, condiclense, damage, Daze or heal.
It is a powerful thing but we know how weak phantasm are so they can be easily destroyed bevore they even land that hit

I see the hambow medi guard incoming. Shooting the symbol from bow, shaddowstep to him ring em F1 and you do at least 45% more dmg to you opponent. use my smite conditions with utility and my heal.
That should hurt a lot.
Like they sad balance incoming numbers are not set yet!
i like the idea of the Signet that heals
putting the wrath to a shout sounds nice but would ruin the mesmersupport with quickness timewarp and shield.
if you would want to make a shout out of the thome of wrath my suggestions
- fury, swiftness, retaliation, blast
- 5 stacks might, fury, retaliation
- doubbleblast, fury, retaliation
- weakness cribble might and fury
wow will be awsome need to test that out i am pretty sure F5 will have a CD of 63,75 s that would fit into the upcoming. 15% base cd. the stund would also fit into the interrupt line and if its condi or burst dmg.
i hope its not that high Cd based i want to be skillfull and keep using my utility skills!!

interrupting is hard to land and can be blocked with stability, blocks, blind, doge.
so counter to that buff which last for 3s max 6s: can be stolen, removed, converted, wars do 3% more dmg hmm is it op? i dont think so.
and for pve it is realy groupfrienedy and your team will be happy when you can share this buff
@Mordy.6780 ok i got that with the dmg now and understand that your phantasm should also do more dmg to vournable foes but i still wouldn’t change the lines and put them in. if you want to have a full phantasm build you would go 60066.
The Chaos line only helps you survive and not your whole team. Though you can share boons with signet, it has a high cooldown and those boons aren’t really required in PvE. Especially since other classes can provide those without dmg loss.
Greatsword isn’t the weapon of choice either, as you generally are in melee range.

id go full zerker here:
domination: phantasm dmg + signet CD so it is 38s cd + shatter or interrupt(is a nice extra)
chaos: 3% perphantasm+ protaction on chaosarmor + when you shattter you give the boon from BD
inspiration: give vigour on shatter + gain swiftness when you shatter + activate signet of inspiration when you summon a phantasm 38s cd
boons being shared 2 times so you tribble the times. Your group gets huge buff and not only that if your timewarp gives you quickness(as boon) what do you think when you tribble the time for your group is it a dmg boost?
if a mesmer can play like that i realy want to have this person in my party!
i wouldn’t say they run crazy i’d say they finally saw that it wasn’t good before and i am happy about the change!
But for pve you dont know if there isn’t a boss in HoTwhich is immune against conditions. Meybe resistance cover also vulnerability and you loose your 10% dmg boost.

I do understand that you want to have a powerful phantsm build. but i think it would be extreme. putting this in the domination line. It would not only give you a huge dmg boost, it would also offer you the way to run super tanky(from the other 2 traids)
as it is now you have to use 2 offensive lines to get to the power you want
GS training is true it needs a buff comapred to the other domination GM. It depens on how fast your cd is. it would be extramly strong using you berzerker every 10 secons.
why i think it need a buff GT: 2000 —>2100 =5% comared to 2000+[25-50%]=2500-3000

(without boon duration) Especiall in combination with the guardian it will be realy awsome play together as the supporter. boon durations of +80% are possible on your mesmer. 100% while standing in hollowed ground.

we dont know what glamour will bring us i hope they dont nerf them. But what i think is that timewarp +2 seconds is realy nice meybe they also add a slow effect for opponents who pass them or resistance for Nulleeld.
Can someone tell me what is the actuall problem with mesmer in pve and the GMs we got?
I came up with another solution:
- Remove the damage from HM and make it an Master trait
:-( remove damage from HM i would cry when they would do that! it got nerved anyway. i dont want to useless use my healing mantra to do more dmg.
I see also the dmg phantasm build for pve which is a 60066 gs/signet build , 06660 Reflector, 60660 Boonsupporter, these are 3 builds for just for pve without interrupt an d just a bit shatter.
the thing is they want to have the shatter because it is the mechanic of the mesmer and they want that you have to use more skills on the mesmer which i totally understand.
As a mantra player I can say mantras are very strong, especiall with halting strike and interrupts where you move them? you have to go into 2 offencive lines to get the benefit. if you would only go in 1 offencive line to get all of the benefit and the other 2 are passive, then you run full zerker do huge dmg + survival (halting strike 3500 + mantra 2500). i am not sure if that works with balance

- Minors: nice
- Adept: nice
- Master: Blurred inscription the blur effect is imo only usefull when you if you could cast your signets instant! because it doesnt protect you getting interrupt and you cant say will i get high dmg in 1 second?
- Grandmaster:
Mental Torment 25% is already a buff hmm 50% uiuiui lats make it 40% you already got +10% with your minor
Powerblock will be mine. Interrupting is hard and so its a fair traid imo
Dueling
- Minor: Confusing Combatants you need to add a 1 second intern cd for not being op
- Adept: nice
- Master:Blade training was good yes but the offhand need something special for using this traid because its the weakest weapon atm doesnt benefit with minors is single target. If you would get te leap each time your swordman is leaping would be the needet buff to use this traid.
- Grandmaster: Harmonic Mantras I like the Idea but a good mantra player doesnt use its mantras so fast that it gives a benefit out of that. the duration from 8 seconds is to short. Especial when you need to recast one of them. then it is ferocity, which only tiggers on a critical hit. I am not sure if this isn`t a huge nerf. if you would make it for 5 targets it is defenitly something to think about also in groupplay
Chaos
- Minor: nice
- Adept: normal, nothing special, nice
- Master: nice (long cd), nice, Protection is back hehe
- Grandmaster: PU: 100% stealth is too much 50% is too less for some skills. think about adding 2 seconds wouldn`t be too op
Bountiful Disillusionment: groupplay + stability for you is something i realy missed on mesmer
Inspiration
- Minors: here i see a problem with the first 2 not working together you will take off the retaliation when you have the Protected Phantasm and to say it in wvw you need that so please give the intern cd for protected phantasm away and add some retal time
- Adept: nice
- Master: here you have to coose between 2 shatter skills? or Combounding Celerity it when your illusion dies you get 1 s swiftenes which is not much make it 2 s please!!!
- Grandmaster: nice

Poorly my PvP hybrid build doesnt work any more at all the spirit was you just run summon your phantasm and the opponent is trying to chase you and forget about the phantasm which have high dmg + condis to annoy them and does have a short attack rate. Wow that lagg issue is a real problem!
after the change with conditions i didn’t had that laggy situations in wvw.
skilllag while fighting big blobs where manageable.
Its that worse that i hear in ts every everyone shouting “lagg spike”. screen freezes for 1-5 seconds.
I hop its just a performance test that you run on the new wvw map which is coming!
