well fractals can show alternate timelines, if channeling a legend actually requires channeling someone dead they could always go to that idea (jalis died in an alternate time)
Don’t care about Raids, but requiring you to play to get a mastery point is just wrong.
raids aside there are already enough mastery points in game that if you got all of them and unlocked all the masteries you would still have spare. this is an invalid complaint because you DONT have to do the raid to get enough mastery points, you dont even have to complete all the non raid mastery points to get enough

i didnt do either of those 2 you are complaining about op and i still have 10 spare mastery points for core tyria after maxing core tyria masteries.
its not an easy thing to get together 9 other people who are either also new at raids or ok with you being new and being able to set aside a not insignificant amount of time to be able to practice them.
plus the amount of elitist bs from many who have actually learned the raids is very off putting

there are probably more scamming. Just that Anet will tell people that’s non of their business if people are stupid enough to send item through mail.
If you are sending via mail it is much more obviously an at your own risk type of thing than via face to face because that way you could claim oh i was tricked because anet used the same icon on items x and y etc.
Plus and this is for me the biggest reason against face to face trading is all the chat spam. wtb this wts that blah blah blah blah blah. As evidenced in GW1 even having a dedicated trade chat option did nothing to curtail the spam in normal chat and it was a nightmare trying to talk to anybody in any of the major cities, especially kamadan
its only a chore if you make it one

if someone is using ap as a measure for whether you are fit for content then they are probably not fit for that content or at the very least they will be unfun to play with

The drop rate is stupid. If the OP harvested over 500 corals, they should have gotten the required amount. The very idea that a player needs to have multiple characters parked or ready to harvest a single item is pathetic. I am not one of them, but there are people in game who like to play on just one character. Forcing them to create alts is just more typical Anet “content extension” and gem store sales psychology.
No one forced them to use alts. They OPTED to use alts in order to speed up a process that is INTENDED to be long.
You have the option to pay for convenience. No one is forcing you to do it.

I watched a video on youtube the other day where the uploader made an offhand comment about how there is so much detail in a lot of the enemies but we don’t really get to see them because its usually all fighting.
I had always wanted there to be titles for doing the slayer achievements but then I thought what if they instead unlocked some kind of model viewer or something where if we did the risen slayer achievement we could get to look through the various risen models without having to worry about them killing us while we do it.
Stop being intolerant OP, I don’t see how this affects you negatively at all, nor does it harm the GW2 experience to have a bit of LGBT representation.

just because someone is commander tagged does not mean that you have to follow them off the cliff
there is no commander tag limit (or if there is its not prohibitive at all), nothing stopping anyone else from tagging up
there is map chat so you could communicate maybe this person doesnt know what they are doing and could communicate what does need to be done
plus each individual player has a responsibility for themselves to have some idea what is going on
text was updated to say and ruins but didnt pop for me today, not only capped a ruin but did it with 2 others and got the buff.
it would be really cool if say for example you could go to a bandit camp and maybe they have a tanning rack or something like that up and you can get a bit. certainly it would be better than just salvaging for it
WP on youtube had a pretty good idea regarding racial skills
First if you are of that race you get all their skills unlocked by default. If not you would have to unlock them perhaps through a mastery or perhaps through hero points.
Second if you are of that race you get all the flavorful elements of those skills when you use them, for example norns with bear form would be able to transform into a bear. If you are not of that race you can use the skills and get the same effects but just not the flavor elements of the skill. There was also precedent for that back in GW1 using the same example even you could get a bear form skill but you did not literally transform into bear form.
In this way the racial skills COULD be impactful and it would not mean the racial skills would be making the race a part of the meta.

I disagree with this idea I think its fair enough to have to unlock the dye separately on each character.
If you honestly have a problem I will refer you back to the guild wars 1 dye system where dyes were single use for one piece of armor, so for example if you wanted the most expensive dye you would have to buy 1 for each piece of armor.
The current dye system is already much more lenient, we don’t need it any easier.

your plan sounds like it might prevent people who havent learned what to do in the new map (probably that ‘awful’ group you mentioned) from having the proper chance to be able to learn what to do
you still get it in wvw but whats the point of it now? it doesnt in any way contribute towards wxp, and no longer contributes towards spirit shards, its just pointless

There are mini dungeons where you can get a chest easily enough without much time investment and I’ve noticed a few chests set behind veteran enemies. Also explorers have jumping puzzles with chests as well.

yeah that is kinda dumb that its main usage is wvw but its main method of acquisition is pve. reward track definitely seems like the right way to go to fix that though
the argument that it gives a disadvantage to those who haven’t bought HoT is bull as it really doesn’t change anything for them.
It does change things for them, it gives them dailies they can’t do. It would look as if ANet was favoring players who bought HOT over those who haven’t.
First of all why shouldnt they favor people who bought their expansion over those who didnt? So long as they arent doing it in a way that makes it pay to win they are not in the wrong at all
Second as already said in the topic there are already plenty of things non HoT owners can’t do, and when living story season 3 comes out they will probably not be able to do that either.

the issue is not just storage space its that a part of our rewards would be rendered worthless. even if we avoid salvaging blues and greens luck essence makes up 1/7th of our daily login rewards
tangled depths takes time investment to learn to traverse or so ive heard and can believe after spending only a little time i am starting to learn pathways through the map

Luck hardly drop at all stop salvaging mate only rare festivals that drop luck.
That presumes luck is the only reason you would salvage blues and greens, and that salvaging blues and greens is the only way you get luck. at a minimum you will get it as a daily login reward multiple times in a month and if you ever salvage ecto for crystalline dust you will get large amounts of it as well.
If you need clarifying on what the issue is – there is currently very little use for luck essence after you reach the account bound luck cap. It is a valid issue and it is not helpful at all to downplay it just because it is not affecting you personally right now.

I currently have 161 MP and have like 1- maybe i’ll get 2-3 more if i can make it past Hearts and Minds personal story that i’m currently stuck on. But I still haven’t done the raid MPs yet and doesn’t look like i’ll be able to as only the super difficult adventure MPs are left which i can’t even get silver at…. and its very, very unlikely that I’ll get anymore. Trust me, i’ve been through the list.
you are always stuck until the point that you skill up and get past it
happened plenty of times to me doing lume armor collection but i kept at it, got better and ended up successful. i think people should stop complaining about things being difficult, if even 1 person has completed it than that proves it is achievable and that the problem is most likely your skill

the point of all the different keys is that they have to be earned by doing content in that region, if it were simplified people would just find an easy farm and grind a billion keys. i think its actually a good system aside from the inventory bloat which a key ring would take care of.
PLEASE NOT A GEM STORE THING, keyring should either be like the account wallet how everyone just got it or perhaps more interestingly earned somehow in game, because if things keep going as they have where more and more types of keys keep getting added it will not be a convenience it will be a necessity
well then perhaps they should do that, might make the item worthwhile, would provide a sink for silver ore and it would work with the idea of it being called a silver fed salvager
heres how i would want it to go down
*mordremoth gets a hold of whatever item the zephyrite leader has, gets more powerful and spreads its vines all throughout the depths of tyria
*primordus is forced to retreat
*fort trinity gets expanded and becomes a city
*large areas of zhaitans corruption are cleared up, and there are much smaller pockets of risen
- all of a sudden large amounts of destroyer mobs move in and we find out that primordus has moved to the ring of fire
i hope it gets rebuilt but different as well, in the same way they used the boats to make the buildings previously they can use scarlets debris this time round
if anyone gets caught red handed i think they should get punished of course but i also dont think its a feasible thing to expect arenanet to be able to investigate. there was one person WP mentioned on one of his streams though that was blatant about it though so i hope that person is dealt with at least

I would say mini pets of various things within fractals would be a cool reward. Imagine a Jade Maw mini :O
A non RNG way to get gold weapons would be nice as well. Perhaps it could be something to unlock at beating scale 100 like how normal weapons unlock at 50.
Could also add an ally summoning item like fire ele powder or ogre pet whistle.
The fractal tonics that exist could be made available from vendor and if that was something the devs were dead set against for some reason perhaps a consumable version instead.
A home instance node perhaps like the guild hall synthesizers except that it does random materials. The more you upgrade it the more types of materials you would possibly be able to get from the node

Actually, do you realise how devastating it would be to the economy in game if nothing was soulbound? Supply would continually increase, prices would drop, nothing would have any value.
Also other things that are soul/account bound like karma or dungeon armor are so that they have to be earned by playing certain content as opposed to just buying them off the tp.
like how we have nodes for our home instance i think it would be cool if there were recipes or something we could do as a guild to get nodes for our guild hall.
if it causes problems with the economy having home instance and guild hall nodes you could make it so that they count as the same, same way we cant relog to another character and go to their home instance and reharvest.
also since we wouldnt want to ruin guild hall customization these nodes would be placeable.
