Same problems here..

Utterly unplayable tonight. 2k ping pve and wvw. Can’t do anything.
Tried all the usual things to try but nothing helps as the problem isn’t my side.

Without linking people just bandwagon around to whatever the top servers are.

It is almost as if the moment you make it possible for people to transfer to the “winning” group, they do.

PS: before you say “no transfers”, remember that people will purchase new accounts and/or delete all characters in order to effect this transfer, if necessary.

Before the linking it cost a lot more gems for people to play T1 so they didn’t move as much. Now they just bandwagon to the linked server for 500 gems…

Putting prices of transfers up or limiting how often you can transfer a year might help

You really need to merge and stop this linking. So many people just bandwagon to their server of choice by joining the low linked server so linking never does any good. We were linked, had lots of players but they weren’t linked anymore with their server of choice so on they moved.

Its just so pointless

I wanted to address the idea of moving world linking to monthly instead of every 2 months, since it is being brought up more and more frequently.

The team isn’t opposed to this idea; we actually think it would be beneficial to move to monthly because it would allow us to iterate faster on how we are calculating which worlds should be linked. However, the main reason for not doing this right now is the matchmaking algorithm, Glicko. Each time we shuffle worlds via world linking it takes about 4 weeks’ worth of matches before Glicko begins to reliably match make those new worlds into balanced matches. If we did world linking monthly, Glicko would not be able to create balanced matchups.

Our next priority poll is going to be asking if players would rather have us work on adding rewards to skirmishes (and possibly other feedback items being collected from this thread) or replace Glicko matchmaking with a 1-up 1-down system (wherein the winner moves up a tier and the loser moves down a tier.) The 1-up 1-down system should work better with monthly linkings than Glicko, so we are most likely going to hold off on 1 month linkings until that system is in.

Another possibility we could pursue is 1 month linkings, but use the Glicko offset system to guarantee the matches. Alternatively, we could manually change Glicko ratings to what we believe they should be for each world. Either option would force worlds to start out closer to being in the correct tier and thus give better matches faster. These options are contentious, so even if everyone on the forums seemed to like this idea it would be something we would poll on.

In my opinion you should still merge rather than link too but that will clearly never happen

Our server is doing worse since the link. It is awful.

I wish there was a 3rd option for improving the current linking. Our link is horrible!

Some of the server mergers have ruined the efforts of some servers.

Aurora Glade were doing well before the mergers, almost hitting Gold League.
It get’s stuck with Blacktide and now it’s being dragged down.

Sure it’s made WvW a little active again, but when you ruin the efforts of a sever like this, it could force some people to stop.

Since the linking AG is doing worse than before! Really hope we get linked with someone else!

My fps has dropped too since the update now its using the 64bit client

Also noticed every time I dc, my bags haven’t saved how I moved them around before the dc. Also the dailies I completed reset after each dc :/

I got up to 7 dc’s all in wvw and i’ve given up

It’s getting really annoying now

Correct, it does it automatically as long as you have a 64-bit OS and 4 GB or more of RAM.

Currently the best way would be to use the task manager. If you’re using Windows 8 or 10, the “Processes” tab in the detailed view will say “Guild Wars 2 (32 bit)” for the 32-bit client and just “Guild Wars 2” for the 64-bit client. For older versions of Windows, it will have an asterisk next to Gw2.exe if you’re running the 32-bit version.

The 64-bit client is no longer in beta. The 32-bit client will now automatically switch to the 64-bit client if the conditions appear favorable.

Does this mean it will automatically download the 64bit client or do you still have to download it? All it says it will “switch to it”

Didn’t do anything for our server but give queues in prime yet don’t seem to have gained more than about 5 people and they are running pve builds and die in 2 seconds. Out of prime it’s just as bad as before

I personally think getting rid of the low tier servers and merging people into the other servers would be better than linking worlds together. Least then you are all part of the same server

Crash will happen while in a Squad, just don’t join squads until this bug got fixed.

A lot of us are crashing every few minutes while in wvw. Get about 3 mins before a crash

Keep losing participation too because of it.

Sometimes when I activate vengeful hammers it immediately stops and keeps doing this for no reason even though I have enough energy to use the skill

32 bit client, 64bit windows 10, resets the general settings everytime I launch the game. This is so annoying!

I am in the UK

When I click buy there is nothing there, saying sorry no items match this filter. This is in all categories of buy as well

When I click sell nothing has a price next to it, you have to click each item to get a sell price
