As been proposed above yeah seriously the green aura need to go or just make it 5-10s max. Reason? My armor/outfit. Why would i buy armor skins or outfit from Gem Store and color it if turn to green! I’m sure not all rangers prefer green themes for their skins. Mine is black. It became Green!!

Does riding a broom/carpet equal to mount speed when PoF mounts are active?
If so that would be soooo cool! Cause i bought the broom & carpet long ago.
If not then i guess my broom/carpet would be useless as I’ll be mostly on my mounts while travelling (partial sad face)

I think a good starter fix for the lifeforce problem would be to make it recharge on x% per second outside of combat until it reached something like 50-75%. That way you can counter classes who keeps disengage a bit to wear your life force down.

Absolutely this! LF should work similar to Warrior Healing Signet but instead of +HP we gain LF instead (In Combat & Out of Combat as LF do not have passive/active like Signets). 50% is too low as we can be bursted down in secs due to our “defence”.

Cause with that on even if yr target side stepped an inch it will miss. Yes i missed my headbutt too if I’m crippled rooted/chilled/blind or they leap/ kb/dodge away or forward pass me. Pings are always the culprit. Dont feel bad. It happens.

Majority of rangers are totally blinded by the fact their dps are shared with an a.i. mechanics that could easily be cc’ed in an aoe which either made it useless or simply dead = debuff output damage. And majority have this mentality that pets gives then extra damage lolz. Swapping pets to prevent it from being dead or cc is already a debuff as it gotta re-chase the target = dps loss. Unless the targets are practice golems then i have no say

Option wont work? Seriously? lol have you ever noticed Druids traits got nothing to do with pets at all? Go check it out if you missed it. And choose another class? Yep we already did that. Its called The Druid. A Ranger which became a healer class. Now compare Druid & Vanilla Ranger. What druid could do that vanilla rangers cant? Heal heal heal & more heals.
My point if Anet could turn DH to Rangers, Rangers to Healers, they could jolly well introduce a new Specialisation with the ability to stow pets and gaining their buff/cc/heals which depends on the pet you stow. Again OPTION.

It’s hilarious to see you pet lovers are so terrified if Rangers had an option to be a petless class. Read: OPTION which simply means you could use pets as you always does OR stow it completely. But unlike Avoid Combat, Stowing a pet now gives you buffs/dps/cc of the pets u choose to stow. No one suggested to completely removed your fluffies lol.

So Rangers are NON archers, snipers, marksmen etc. No wonder park rangers been roaming around with polar bears, brown bears, moas, spiders, pigs, etc nowadays. Sorry my bad.

Well i switch to DH (after purchasing the expansion) cause i see a true potential to be a Bad S sniper trap class (petless) rather than being a Beastmaster class which Anet calls it Ranger.

Edit: i popped by cause i was once a Beastmaster till Anet introduced me to DH. I would love to dust off my “Ranger” but i gotta dust off the pets too lol

Beastmaster’s core mechanics are pets. RANGErs core mechanics are their weapons which outputs lethal damage at RANGE.
There are no Rangers in this game. We are Beastmasters.
Btw i shelved my “Ranger” when i start playing DH months ago (smiley face)

I’m not having high hopes if Rangers gonna have a chance to be a Pure Ranger Class BY CHOICE with all kinds of dps/ccs solely from The Rangers (Players) themselves for the next expension. But i’m still keeping my fingers crossed since 2012 lololol

The only reasons to stick to war is the reasons why I’m sticking to it:

2. Like to stand out with your class choice. I always play the class that is the least popular.
3. I like the sense of accomplishment when I do well in spvp and WvW with warrior. With maximum effort, some skill and some luck you can be almost as effective as many other classes right now without effort, no skill and no luck.

I always played the worst class in any Open World Pvp mmo or in this case WvW.
And for GW2, yes Ranger. I could easily roll my Thief if i prefer easy mode. But meh.. no challenge = no fun. Seriously i got bored killing roamers. I can’t deny that it is fun for a while killing players who have no chance react usually. And i am not even in full ascended. But it got old pretty fast for me.
So i’ve been running Rangers for months now. Yeah i got owned most of the time but the fun came when i downed someone with the worst class in game!
That’s what i called FUN! But of course if i’m in my ownage mood i’ll switched back to my thief lol
So my advise is : Always Level up a Theif or Mesmer IF you wanna play Ranger. Cause if you got kittened, you always could switch to one of those classes and Return for The Kill for the LOLZ!

….and we are still BEASTmasters… not RANGErs.

Grenth Hood supposed to be available in Gem Store during Wintersday due to Guild Wars Tradition of Grenth vs Dwayna throughout the festival. But for no valid reason it was unavailable on the previous Wintersday.
For me i have gave up on it. Even if they release it sooner or later i aint getting it.
I’ve changed my mind. They can keep the hood.
I prefer the way my Asuran Necro look now.

Fact: WvW = War. Massive scale battle vs other servers with tons of pvpers.

How i play the game is i could /m & /s with the opposing team in sPvp (players vs players) but not in WvW. Isn’t WvW are players vs players too?

They could be in you squad all along or on ts and no one would noticed.
Or dev could make open world chat not like /m or /w but let it have a radius of 3-5k distance only. Or it could only active with >10 men zerg.
It would be hilarious.

Current chat commands are:
/g, /s, /p, /t, /w, /m, /d & /w

Why are there no WvW chats?
We could only chat with our world in WvW.
Wouldn’t it be cool to have cross server chat in WvW?
Something like /o for Open World Chat.
Then it would be a full pvp experience.
Now it feels like we are fighting opponents with a perma mute button switch on.

Would be great if HoT would implement this chat function (which is the norm for all mmos)

Gap closer/further (leap/dash/teleport) are mostly needed in WvW.
In short a utility weapon as none of Necro weapons yes weapons get these features.

Depends on the game mode you are talking about, in SPvP you could try worm, in WvW you could try Spectral Walk (both need positioning and practice) but to be honest in WvW be most of the times be prepared for the ultimate escape which is death while you see your mates, leaping, vanishing in stealth or become a cloud .

In WvW, Necros are meant to solo an incoming Zerg. Leave the leaping/teleport (gap closer/further) to other classes which includes the incoming zerg. And worry not, cause a leet wvw zerg will let you 1v1 1v2 1v3 while the rest watch. Right Anet?

The main trick to kill Rangers (especially Regen Rangers) as a Thief. Is simple.
Stealth stealth & kill both pets. And the Rangers would be left with just regen with pathetic dps. But if you attack the Ranger mainly then he will always be ahead of you while his pet screw you up real good.

Forget about reverting SB range back to 1200.
I’m sure the Ranger community is happy with 900 by now.
And i could bet my Alienware x51 that it WILL stay at 900.
If you dont know this dev already man you have not played GW1 for 5 years.
What they did, they will never revert nor change.
Therefore my x51 will never be yours lol!

The Main Tweak.
Basic reaction to an attack or defend is to move twice as fast. Due to the adrenalin rush. Not the other way round like in GW2 at the moment.

Therefore its:
1. 30-40% Faster Combat
2. 30-40% Faster Combat
3. 30-40% Faster Combat
4. 30-40% Faster Combat
5. All the above plus the same movement speed as out of combat.
You would wanna move as fast as possible during combat not slowmo.

GW2 combat is too slow for me.
It would be great if animation and everything during combat would be a tad faster.
Even some mmos with 1 sec/0.5sec gcd are much more faster.
Why? Due to their fast and almost instant animation which made the toon already swung a sword or shoot an arrow or cast a spell within that 1s or 0.5s of gcd.
I hope some peeps understood what i mean lol.

GW 2 was advertised as a fun, casual MMO.

Fun = Grinding for Legendaries or BiS weapons/items and soon BiS gears.
Casuals = Being told over and over again by the community you dont need any of the stats above. Cause they are grinding so casuals could owned them.
