To those who dont understand the difference between WvW & Open World Pvp.
Lemme explain…

WvW is an Instance Pvp. Similar to sPvP only on a Huge Scale.
Anyone could pop out (out of combat) and hop back to the Main World anytime.
And live happily ever after.

Open World Pvp is in the Main World itself where Pvp (Player vs Player) could happen at any place, at any time. And there is no way you could pop out to another World.
So either Fight or Run Run RUN!!!
Just an example of an Open World Pvp.

Simple logic – Not everyone could log in every single day of the week.

For me i’m neither happy nor excited.
Cause firstly, GW2 is not my main mmo (it should be, but i switched back to me good ol’mmo right after Lost Shores patch).

Thirdly even if they remove all these new stats, i could hardly find myself logging in more than an hour. Lost interest in this game already. I’ve spend more time reading forums than playing and back to my main mmo after that tbh.

Usually I roam in WvW destroying anyone in my way! then this guy came and steamrolled me before I realized what happened.

Only later I found out through a friend that he had full ascended gear.

Actually the “optional” counterargument (which I see getting thrown around a lot) doesn’t work on practical grounds. It’s really quite relative. Sure, it’s “optional” to run around naked in game, but is it practical? No. In the same sense, it’s also “optional” to run around in exotics instead of ascended, but this time, is this practical? Yes.

So yes, if you don’t like dailies, don’t do them. It’s optional, but not game killing.

4) Guild Halls (Even without Factions)
5) Character Name Change! Jesus!
6) More dance moves.
7) More emotes. I cant kittening Flex!!!
8) Remove DR! <— Developers please ignore this one if its too harsh.
9) Weekly instead of Dailies as some suggested.

Did anyone know how Powerful Vampiric Sword upgrade in GW1?

——> 3hp stealing per attack. Yes just THREE.

Only those Hardcore GW1 Pvpers know this. Majority would laugh at the stats or have no idea what that 3hp stealing per attack could do in a 1v1 scrim match.
Just a simple explanation: 1 hit 3hp gained plus 3hp lost for the opponent. Sure you gonna hit your opponent once? lol
Now do the math

Alright back to GW2.
At the moment, 8% stats increase for Ascended Gear.
Lets take Rangers as they do consistent damage.
Simple Calculation.
100 damage will be buffed up to 108 damage/per Hit.
1000 damage will be buffed up to 1080 damage/per Hit.
Again, would you hit your opponent just once? Guess not.

Lets say a Ranger hit an opponent 10 times with 1k damage each.
Without 8% stats buff, he will hit 10000 damage.
With 8% stats buff, he will hit 10800 damage.
Noticed the extra 800 damage from just 10 hits?
And to those who play Rangers im sure with Zerker Gear you mostly crits at 2k+/hit with LB and 1k+/hit with SB.

So to those who are saying 8% is nothing, i just lol!
Cause its either they seriously have no idea what they are talking about OR
they are trying to cover up the truth as they had already farmed it.

Firstly,
Obviously Laurels are not catered for those who work irregular hours/days of the week. Meaning people like me wont be coming back home daily. But when i get back home, i’ll be off work for 2-3 days. And sadly i cant make up for those days that i’ve missed while i was offshore cause Dailies are Dailies. Missed it and its too bad.

Secondly,
Dodging, i find it ridiculous for Rangers. Why?

Even Karkas will attack my pet. I cant stow my pet during combat.
What is there for me to dodge? Usually i let my pet die but its time wasting compared to any other class. It is even possible for Necro not to summon any pets which would make Dodging a breeze to complete.
WvW? Yes and by the time i found opponents to Dodge, most of the other class had completed their Daily Dodge minutes or hours ago.

Thirdly,
If Ascended Gear could be made ENTIRELY Pve wise during Lost Shore patch which Anet admit it was a mistake, why not made it ENTIRELY Pvp too now after they “realised” it WAS a mistake.

I highly doubt it that there would be Alliance Battle in GW2.
Mainly due to WvW.
Its like on a server, Kurz & Lux are at war and with a click of a button they are allies against another World. And with another click of a button they are at war against each other again lol its silly.

And to compare WvW & AB, i prefer AB and the map layout is awesome.

To discuss Combat System, we have to compare it with other games or there is nothing to discuss about lol. Alright…

Firstly,
since beta i’ve noticed the combat is Slow and Clunky
Skills took miliseconds to active even instant skills. Not instant.
Even sheathing weapon or by pressing ESC to cancel a skill aint instant.
My War would swing his sword once or twice after i hit Sheath Weapon less than a second ago. (Animation? Other games could do it instantly with animation totally cancelling whatever skills that is currently activated.)

Secondly,
as reviewed by GW2 player on YouTube, there is like a wind resistance while doing fast/sharp turns. Again not instant. Meaning the enviroment will turn first then my toon. Not together. Only those who play loads of mmos will noticed this. Cause most games are instant in this catagory.

Thirdly,
WvW opponents IGN are replaced with Defenders instead of their real IGN.
Yes to avoid harrasment or whatever. But its PvP. It is what it is! Thats the fun of it!
Dont PvP if you wanna avoid all that. (WvWvW is in the PvP Catagory of the forum just an info)
Some games even have Revenge List as a side menu.

Well that bout it. Hope Anet would look into this but i highly doubt it.

I guess all the mobs are programmed to scan through those with MF or Highest Dps individual.
Did Temple of Bhaltazar with my all out Zerker gear early in the morning justnow. Yep just 1-2 hit on the boss and Bhaltazar Priest pop right on me.
Port, came back and it happen over and over again with tons of players zerging him.

Tested with MF gear and to my surprise Mobs/Bosses tend to focus me less.
Maybe im doing less dps due to my 120%+ MF gear therefore Mobs think that i’m less of a threat to them.

For me it all depends on January & February patch/updates.
Couple of New Quality MMOs coming out in 2013 and they cant be all bad.

I suggest you wait for future “infusion crystals” to be implemented.
