why have you increased cd on necro heal? and why the hell do you have to take a grandmaster to make the heal viable?? youve removed terror from condi builds… this is the worst thing you could have done really you cant do this necro is already barely viable seriously look at what your doing and compared it to the thieves heal? 15 second cd, instant cast?> and necros is over 1 second and easilily interupted? and you wanna INCREASE COOL DOWN? lordrisiky was talking about sigils months ago, and all of you said learn to play and the usual crap, the problem with this game is it takes people way too long to admit when somethings broken you all wanna pretend your suddenly good even tho your skill level hasnt changed in years. all this stuff has been in here for months the balance has been broken for months myself and many other people have posted comments on balancing in the post and it just comes with a load of abuse. This is what happens when you dont think about a GOOD game honestly well done guys your ruined it for everyone, and your one the biggest offenders blackjack so go to hell lols you werent talkin about balance when you were running cheesemode bunker meta, that was the beggining of the end and just to make sure you know its try harders like you that are to blame.

Instead of making a really long winded post heres a video a friend of mine posted on counter play which i feel is so relevant to guild wars and with exposure could create a more dynamic and fun environment for everyone to enjoy. You might view certain mechanics differently if you honestly question whether there is counter play and whether you think the counter play would be more rewarding for everyone involved. why do people always just assume its an i got rekt by a celestial ele and want to vent my rage, firstly sometimes they are right because to be honest celestial amulet has 30% more stats than every other amulet so thats actually numbers that you cant deny, and secondly noone gets rekt once and goes on the forum to rage or vent they just rage at them in pm while set to offline or block them lol, noone does that how about look at it objectively and think about the effect all these buffs to other classes have on necro which always gets nerfed but hasnt been in the meta for nearly 2 years. if i had put time in a class that just always gets nerfed while other classes get buffed id be mad too.

the only difference on courtyard is if you got a bad team then you dont have to painfully draw out the lose, you just die and then finish quicker, dont try and pretend this new map is going to be different. great job arena net best patch for a long time

absolutely awesome job arena net, courtyard is the best thing to happen in pvp for a very long time, please dont listen to the negativity, the games ive had on courtyard were the best games ive had in guild wars 2 period anyone who wants to downplay it its kitten cause they didnt win great fun and love the new queing system 1 think tho, necros got another nerf with the inability to swap skills at the start of the game seems like theyve had it rough for a while, might be good to have a quick look at balancing death shroud at the start of games.

i agree its unbalanced and the fact it is so low on the trait line doesnt seem balanced compared to other classes minor traits, i understand thieves dont have access to stab or blah blah but actually steal gives em stab ALL the time they have multiple evades on weapons too, a thief isnt meant for tanking its meant for doing damage stop trying to confuse the class roles and ruin a really good game the whole point of having a team is to have different classes doing different roles, how is it that so many classes are doing multiple roles where its just not possible for some classes. that isnt balanced so why cant we just leave it how it was ?? condition damage, physical damage, and support. oh and btw anet you didnt change the holy trinity at all you just made monks or healers terrible and boring to play, WELL DONE you should all get fired.

What is the logic behind repears protection? There is no skill spamming auto fears with no counter play.

I think you just asnwered your own question by playing a class with even less counter play and skill.

id love to see you carry teams with a necro in this stupid meta, theyve been out of the meta for soo long and were only in for like 2 weeks, and yet they are the class that gets nerfed the hardest even tho mesmer and thief have access to so many more useful skills. your just a nub bro lord is the best surviving necro becuase the rest stopped playing due to everything else being broken.

is everyone just forgetting that necro hasnt been in the meta for such a long time, its also had some of the most significant nerfs dhuumfire obviously and now corrupt boon has a cast time only 1/2 a second but its still a cast time thieves and warriors have been dominant for far to long, and necro is only survivable with deathshroud, they also only have stability on their elite necros are easy to kill and im always glad to see one on the other team if they can actually kite effectively and take people out at the same time that means they are a good player no that theyre op. some times people are just better at the game.

its op because eles are op, before this ele buff noone was qqing about ice bow cause noone used eles. and if your gonna say ice bow is op, how about the constant self heal and boons from staff eles. thats more of an issue that ice bow, if hes in ice bow he dies soo much faster i just wish more eles were dumb enough to use it.

Agreed. I would even pay a one-time (or yearly, or whatever) fee in gems to have a pass to a restricted area with a bank and a TP. Just stop making me load 2-3 maps every time i have to do something.

Why complain about having a bank in the mists? I would say MOST people can just press “B” click their home BL then run right around the corner to the armorsmithing station and bam…a bank. And it is free, so just give the PvP pop a bank as well. I know I would sure love one.

Someone already put up a good argument point for this statement, that WvW isn’t always accessible. Sometimes there is a queue which for players in a hurry will cause them to spend some silver to get to a place with a bank instead of going to WvW for free.

paying for map travel is a joke as it is, just put a bank in so pvp players dont get punished for not wanting to go out of the mists, your giving us pve rewards so come on, give us the bank or just remove all the pve rewards and give us gold.

Downed state is bad and bugged.

none of those are bugs and personally i think the down state adds new depth do the game, and whether people should stomp or res is a VERY easy decision if the downed enemy is a thief ele or mesmer do not stomp always res if its a necro guardian warrior or engi and you dont have stab RES otherwise stomp!! and let dmg dealers dmg dont force them to stomp by using your pathetic auto attacks in an attempt to stop a double res.

Phira has it right. Once we have the key features we need for the core of the game, we’ll look at doing other game types.

So after years we still dont have the key features we need for the core game? and were just stuck with 1 game mode indefinitely? Sorry but this just isnt good enough weve waited for such a long time for new game modes thats all people talked about in alpha and beta, and now you say 2 years down the line and we still dont get new game modes and not even a hint as to when your going to add guild halls or proper gvg, and by proper i mean like in gw1 where it was an actual esport not 3 capture points with 5 bunkers boring us to death on esl. for the sake of this game there needs to be new pvp game modes.

  • Team scores?
  • Personal score?
  • Stats?
  • Profession?
  • 5-10 previous matches?
  • total damage done.

  • total healing including regen and soothing mist given to team mates.

Sad to say but I feel like this is a case of you being outplayed. A great ele will frustrate you if you don’t know how to fight one properly. On the other side, an avg ele will die pretty easily since they won’t have the proper cooldown management. Yes you heard me, eles have to manage things to be great despite people saying they can faceroll and be OP. They can and will die when you attack them and know what to interrupt, when to fear, when to condi load, etc. It’s all timing. Just practice more and less qq.

if you dont know who duke henry is then you clearly dont play pvp that much and therefore have very little insight into what it entails. 1. your not even top 1000 and you think you can basically say to one of the best necros in pvp ‘’ learn to play’’ your the reason this game doesnt develop properly cause you assume its qq when he genuinly cares about the state of pvp, you never play team que, and if you do you play against the bottom of the barrel therefore meaing you dont see any of the top players he faces on a daily basis, you need to learn to play cause your not even close to his level.

Back when guild wars 2 came out and for quite a while after, bunker use to mean high survivability and low damage, but now it seems like a few classes are gaining the ability to bunker but still being able to do significant damage. i really think this isnt balanced and especially for the only pvp mode capture points survivability is crucial for holding the capture points but then being able to do damage on top of that makes for really boring games. its time bunkers were bunkers and damage dealers were damage dealers

this guy lordrisiky or what ever happens to be one of the top necros in the game, he doesnt have a biased opinion like most people, he just genuinely wants the game to improve, so before you start qqing or calling him bad go check his team que and solo que records and i personally have played with him and i know hes a formidable player, quite capable of carrying people. that said when hes trying to help the developers by informing them of something that clearly is overpowered how about before you start calling him noob or passively calling him bad check your own statistics and see how many games youve carried to victory and i m pretty sure its 100s less than him, so before you get buthurt cause hes calling something you play overpowered just think about how these over powered classes affect every other class

i never said every build i just said the builds black jack plays, and you really think his post is legitimate when he clearly says he relies on some tropical bird to play the game competitively rather than actually using his skills. and i never personally attacked him i was talkin about the builds hes playing which are clearly unbalancedso before you start getting defensive over your 5 bunker meta stop and think about other people who play this game and who also have over 1000 more wins than you and dont just play with the same 5 people all the time, my grasp on the meta is much more open minded than yours cause i actually play with randomers and the skill level required for a warrior to be effective is clearly much lower than for a necro or other classes that die easier. gg again for such an insightful post fraelina glad to see some of the ’’top’’ players still contribute to the forums.

You seem to have no clue about meta builds. Most team q builds work around might stacking/air fire procs, why don´t you start nerfing this first or atleast wait until after the next big tournament so we don´t have to learn a whole new class and adjust the lineup and strategy?

Balance means something is EQUALLY strong. It doesn´t mean that there aren´t op synergies.

Even if AI is not what people want to see it keeps things balanced. Yet the main goal should be to allow viable builds that don´t rely on runes/sigils whihch needs major nerf to all sigils.

If an ai pet is so integral to your survival then it must be op, otherwise your saying 1 ai pet carryies you and you cant survive with out it? either way well done anet for nerfing more ai

since the patch loads of people came back which is amazing, the problem is they came back for a week and left again CAUSE NOTHINGS CHANGED!!! seriously why would you think these changes need to settle before adding new game modes its been too long already youve lost so many players put courtyard in tournament que otherwise its just pve seriously youve let us down with no new games modes, the combat in this game is awesome, why do we have to keep focusing on points for like 2 years its been 1 game mode and the only map to stay in team que was temple of the silent storm, so guys its getting close to being too late for this game release new game modes and people MIGHT and this is a small might cause youve taken so long, come back. and no death match isnt enough we need GVG and guild halls thats SHOULD have already been in developement before the game came out, this is guild wars 2 isnt it?? are you allowed to use any ideas from gw1 cause you copied the name of this new map from gw1 so where are all the other pvp modes like in guild wars 1. please guys were all on our last legs. you need to tell us with in a week when new modes are coming or people will never come back, and this game will go to free to play by the end of the year.

I just wanted to give you guys a quick update. Based on your feedback, we’ve decided not to add Runes of Perplexity to PvP in the 4/15 Feature Pack. We’ll be monitoring the balance of runes closely, making more tweaks if necessary, and revisiting the possibility of adding Runes of Perplexity to PvP at a later point.

lyssa runes dude come on they have ruined this game for long enough confusion only does dmg if you use skills through it you can remove it and you can counter it and its time to end this bunker meta with sustained dmg its ruined the game for months now this change is amazing thanks anet for doing something so positive for the game. oh and oh and btw if your getting interupted by a mace youll be standing there doing nothing ie not using skills therefor taking only melee dmg then you come out of stun and you just remove the condition or wait for it to be over. just because people are going to have to rethink their builds your qqing? A change is gonna come, lets move forward and give up on easy mode bunker wars.

Are Those All The Balance Changes?

Those were the high level changes, meaning we didn’t get into all the details for each profession (each and every # change), each weapon, each skill, etc. We were just trying to move through a lot of info in the Ready Up, so we didn’t get down into each and every # change for every class. That would be more of a detailed list you’d expect from game release notes for a release, for example.

Some of you have asked why we haven’t focused on fixing the issues already in the game. A lot of things have been fixed, but some concerns you guys have like with PW, HS, decap engi, etc. we decided to wait and see how the new traits will affect the meta.

This does not mean that we aren’t open to adjusting them.

Ultimately, we knew we wanted to add some more traits, so we wanted to focus on trying to make those good and then we can revisit them if they are still an issue. Does that make sense?

No that doesnt make sense, cause those traits havent changed anything pistol whip and decap engi are still going to be the same so ye youll have to revisit and were just going to be waiting another 6 months till anything actually changes.
