They should nerf Warrior hammer because its far superior to guardian hammer….
Be careful what you wish for. If you start comparing 1v1. Warrior still has unmatched mobility, stability, hp, armor and cc.
All I know is abc uses Scrapper, so we should probably nerf it.

the most broken thing in gw2 is stealth on thieves, as long this is not beeing changed, nothing can be oped compared to that.
OC shot is the same like in beta and in those 2 jears nobody complained about it.
As long as engineers have the worst accesss to stability, this skill is fine.
I have all classes on level 80, engineer is by far the most difficult and has alot very hard disadvantages like condition cleanse and stability.

EoTm gives more badges, more loot, more karma by just following a train.
Silverwastes chests and events give so much loot it’s not even funny.
An hour in wvw and unless you play a spam 1 tag everything class you might see half a dozen bits of loot, compared to opening 20-30 chests, 30 events, 40 loot bags containing up to t6 mats, etc if you wonder around in Silverwastes.
I’m sure a lot more players would try wvw if it had more loot, even if they have totally failed to update it in two years.
Maybe ‘season 3’ should be a revision and new maps to wvw, with piles of achievement points available (won’t happen, but we can dream).
As it is there is almost no reason to carry on logging in to wvw apart from the occasional even fight, and it’s very clear that is the conclusion reached by the majority of players.
From all things the WvW needs, loot is none of it.
We need new maps, bigger maps and more ways to escape a megablob for 5-man groups. And jes, the last tier of servers should be merged.
The loot is how you get new players in. Everything you mentioned is how you retain the players that come.
And this! is the main problem of WvW!
Its you guys, the generation “login-reward”, running from farmevent to farm event with your blob, never trying something else because you could miss your champbag, karma, loot, money, xp whatever.
You run behind a tag and if no tag is there, you usually flame, whine and troll about it.
In the first weeks we laughed about the community and the design of GW2, we called it “together alone” everyone for himself, because everything has to be solobale these days.
i might sound like a grumpy old man but back then, in DAoC we got just nothing for playing RvR, it has even very high costs, forcing communities to organize together.
Jes, later you got some ranks with uber abillitys but to reach those you relied on teamplay.
Jes there are organized guilds here but lets be honest? What happens if your couple of “brain-commander-tags” leaves or is offline? Nothing.
I would love to see a server with alternate ruleset, no ascended, no loot, just pure fighting. Awesome fights and fun at playing is reward enough for me.
in a couple of jears i forgot how much wealth and stuff i had, but not this one fight, were we stomped 2vs8 in a fight for about 30 minutes, were we killed them over and over until they logged off^^

im somehow shocked that nobody mentioned stability….
you can build, trait and equip against conditions as engineer, pretty easy if you want to.
But no matter what you do, you will always have the worst stability skill in the history of gw2. Thats why nobody even mentioned it. Most people forgot that this skill exist, i dont. Its still be biggest insult anet made to this class and i remember like 4 brutal, buildkilling ubernerfs and the slaughter they did to kit refinement.
Cantrips on the other hand….. i would give my elite for having earth armor and ele can have it two times! To match cantrips an engi would have to slot rocketboots, elixir b and elixir s leaving no room for kits and the cantrips would still be far far better.
Ele can heal and buff way better then engineer, has way better support via fields and finishers and generally alot stronger traits.
The only advantage i see on engineer is the better CC if you build for it and the gameplay. Even if ele is stronger in almost every role right now (even condi builds… jes even with staff.. not funny..) The enginer is the only challenge this game offers.

T8 and T9 are way to empty now. Close the servers and give everyone there a free transfer. Most dedicated WvW players already left those servers anyway.
In theory, roaming in wvw sounds amazing
Running around avoiding dangers, completing small-scale missions and most importantly fighting people – 1 at a time or even multiple enemies at onceBut in reality, I just find it terrible
It usually takes me 5-10 minutes to find a fight
Everytime I die I spend around 5 minutes getting to a place that may have enemies
And half the times i just get zerg-faced half way through a fightWhen i do find fights I can have a great time
But it’s mostly just running around not doing anything

I have all classes:
- acceptable 1v1 and 1vX
- swiftness to allies for running dolyaks
- enough AoE to flip camps fast
- doesn’t need to swap weps (because I’m lazy)
define acceptable and define weapon swap.
I dont see any build out there that is able to 1vX without swapping weapons unless you dont count attunement change and Kits as weapon swap.

regarding the EU servers, Tier 8-9 are empty, is it possible to merge those servers with higher tiers? I want enemys in WvW without beeing forced to pay transfer.

generosity is almost useless, you have no control about the when and what.
Sigil of cleansing however, can be controlled to some degree. Its way more realiable.
Sadly i have no space for it. My build relies on Sigil of battle and perception.
I dont care that much about conditions anyway, melandrus, food, legmods, transmute, super-elixier and medkit help alot. Only people using +40% duration food give a tough fight but those condi builds cant chase, so i just kite and outplay them.

And jes that ubernerf to kit-refinement is the reason why i now have 8 80s.
However Engineer is still the only adult class here.

I have to visit that place more often, i have heard i can steamroll people there with supply crate and turrets lol. Camping a point in spvp is like the the only thing in gw2 were crate and turrets arent complete useless.
You expect in your little darkshadow assasin world to blink around the map within seconds, escape every bad situation and beat someone specialized for fighting on a node?
Take the crate, delete it and give me a useful stability skill like earth armor instead. Its a weak elite for WvW anyway even in 1vs1 / 1vs/x situations. I-win-button, lol.
In lots of cases engi and else fill the same roles but ele meta builds have access to stab, more boons, condi removal, multiple stun breaks, and better mobility.
Engi meta builds mostly have one stun break and very limited condi removal they are so easy to pin down in team fights. Honestly it requires a lot more effort staying alive as an engi vs other profs.
Yes, running around with permanent swiftness (and until recently permanent vigor), two blocks on sub-30 second cooldowns that don’t cause a root and armor, healing and passives out the wazoo is very difficult compared to us peons playing faceroll classes. 3-kit Engineer really is the “endgame class”, it’s just so micro-heavy and high risk, much wow.

Its by far the most challenging class in gw2 period. And no matter what you build, you will always have really huge disadvantages unlike some other classes.

Sigils and runes are very strong and important, they are part of the “build diversity” get used to it. Every class has the same access to it except ele and engineer which have a slight disadvantage here.
Battle and energy seem to be very strong but even if you delete those, they will get replaced and the whine starts again because blaXY is so strong in blaYX-build.

But this game here ….. as much as i love gw2, this game here is ridiculous regarding stealth. About 5 buddies have quit because of that. I play mostly WvW, most of the time solo (now..) and smallscale. I roam since beta, i have all 8 chars on 80 and i have to design every single dam build against thiefs.
Jes jes here in the forums you guys all defend your toons, but ive never met a player online in TS who could not admit that they are about the most broken thing ever in Onlinegaming history.

This really isnt costumer friendly for dedicated WvW players.
Those WvW weapons and armors became money traps for new players, nothing else.
I have 2 complete sets of melandrus, 1 set of perplexity and half a dozen bloodlust upgrades in my Inventorys waiting for the mercy of arenanet.
Whats the point anyway? Nowadays You actually have to warn people to not buy those items. And its not like you could get rich by spending all your badges, karma for these Items. There are way better ways to make money out of them.
Its about time to host the EU servers in EU and asia servers in asia.

Engi got nerfed like no one else in this game. I talk about real heavy build destroying overnerfs and jes plural.
They had godmode after release but no one complained because no one played them and the most were just bad. Now they are just garbage way to much effort for minor results and way too much sacrifices. How you even dare to cry about a profession without serious access to stability and condremove (both things they actually had after release..)
most of you cry about the kit-heavy builds with 26 skills that spam turrets all over the place and can escape at will with roketboots and elixir s.

Tool Kit, grenade kit, and elixir S should be run by any engineer that knows what they’re doing. These 3 utilities offer everything anyone could ask for in PvP, except boon removal.

Its still just stability, really its just stabillity. If i had access to something like rampage as one, earth armor, dolyak signet … i wouldnt have 8 80s now. Throw elxir B is like the worst skill for stability in history of gw2., Casttime, traveltime, no stunbreak and the duration is lower than a blink of an eye..
Everything besides heavy kit based builds are just free loot. They are very complex to play and not very forgiving. You have to choose between mobility, damage, support and survivalbility so most people just play warriors and eles to avoid such decisions.
If you want to play your engi in zergfights, then get your fixed group with guards that provide stability for you.

Rangers, the changes are just plain op.

mesmers, enough said already
guardians, thats alot of hard buffs.

As much as I want harder content, I do not want it at the expense of other content. If I had a say, id say for a new hard boss and leave this one as is.

Tequatl’s only a ghost town if you arrive five minutes before the show. Show up around 40 minutes to an hour before and you’ll land in a map that’s organizing.

pu builds exist to distract you while you kill yourself. if a mesmer has pu and you died to him, you let him kill you. it isnt the pu trash that can actually kill you on their own without your help, its the phant or shatter variants, and those are the ones you should be afraid of.but mesmers are terribad are chasing.
I have some news for you, there are alot situations in this game where you dont want to run away because you will loose a point/camp…..
Well I’d say with that buff, condi-Mesmers are at least a viable option for WvW-roaming again. The buff actually brings them to a more equal level with Engineers in terms of condi-application.
Also, if you’re so desperate thinking about buffed Mesmers… what about condi-Necros then? Why didn’t you already quit Engineer due to them existing? Or P/D-Thieves. Or other condi-Engineers (especially, but not only, those using perplexity-runes). Cause they all apply WAY more condis than Mesmers currently. Heck, even condi-Warriors do it better. Well, everyone does it better except Guardians (and maybe Eles). At least they will be kinda equal after the next patch.

2. Don’t attack while the Mesmer is blocking with Scepter
3. Dodge Scepter 3, which has a loooooooooong windup animation
4. If you should get hit by Scepter 3, don’t attack through confusion

6. If things go bad for some odd reason, just run away

Ofc it needs a nerf espcially the amulet. I think PVT or zerker D/D is balanced its the kitten amulet that is broken.
An amulett that gives a medium amount to all statts and which is available to all classes is broken? Srsly? I mean really? Lol? If anything in this world could point out class inbalance in GW2 it would be this amulett. Everything and everyone should be balanced around this amulett.
Anet should finally remove the different HP tables for the classes. I demanded this after the first BWE, my argument was: " it would make balancing more easy and if you let those different HP tables ingame, it will cause problems forever". Told you so.

Its a stunbreak on 40 sek cooldown with 8!! seconds of stability + swiftness.
If my engi would have such a skill i wouldnt have to play warrior right now.
This skill is one of the reasons why warriors are so op atm.
And then the op cries about condi engis and necros? lol. Only warriors have a skill that make them imune to conditions for 8!! seconds. This negates the damage output of this classes and it negates alot of thier defense aka soft-cc, blinds, weakness.

compared to the older WvW type of games, is GW2 the most balanced in gaming history. It would even be perfect, if there were no thiefs which for whatever reason ruin every balance by design. I just dont get why they all have to bring invisible backstabbing trash in these nice games.
PvE:
Engineer has no crucial abilities like reflects, Stability, Aegis etc., so it’s basically a “just DPS profession”. For such a profession there are only 2-3 spots left in a dungeon group, and one of these spots will always be filled with a Warrior and its banners and EA.
The Engineer is actually a superb pick for one of these last slots as it’s not only able to deal a considerable amount of damage but also provides a lot of less crucial support, like e.g. Blind, Stealth, condition remove, and Might. However they are few actually good Engineer players, and thus even fewer non-Engineer players know that an Engineer can actually be good.
Especially those dreaded Flamethrower Engineers have given the Engineer a bad reputation, just like those bearbows have given Rangers.I’m not sure if you know but Engineers DO have stability and reflect walls. Toolbelt skills of both Elixir R and Elixir U do those things. Also if you are speced into Elixirs they will give Might AND cleanse conditions. That sounds pretty awesome to me. AoE Might+Condicleanse as well as vital effects.

Elixirs suck period, might? really? there are thousand ways to maintain might much more comfortable without using a grandmaster trait and wasting your utilities just to buff up a bit. Throwing elixirs is just horrible 1/2 sec cast time + traveltime
on your stability skill makes it probably the most useless in this game and it has ofc no stunbreaker. Elixir R is a joke too a pretty sad one actually. Jes the tooblelt skill may rezz youself but thats a feature you probably wouldnt need in the first place whit a decent kit or skill in that slot.
Alchemy has also the best traits the engineer has access too like protection injection.
Which is imo even better then all elixir traits thrown together.
with elixir-gun + bombkit alone you get AoE Might+Condicleatnse + tons of other possibilities and actual damage, mobility and cc that you need so urgently. I played engineer since beta, 4-kit mostly. The lack of decent stability/stunbreakers and the uber hard nerfs, im talking about expensive, build-trashing events, and jes its plural, ruined it for me.

I had one question: How similar are kit engis and d/d eles? They look kinda similar in play style, but I would love some people that play both to comment!
I admit i jumped right the first fotm bandwagon which was the D/D Ele and played it alot. Ele has this big big big advantage of those cantrips, it feels more like driving a car with a safetybelt and airbag, you just rotate through your elements it gets repetitive but everything feeled smooth and well thought.
Engi is way more reactiv to a degree where you end up kiting for your live in an outnumbered situation healing, blocking, curing, crippling, blinding, launching , healing …… and so on and you end up in fullstress piano without dealing any damage.

A warrior landing 12k eviscerates is full glass. A thief gets stealth, a warrior gets Defy Pain.. but if you think of them as thieves they’re not so bad.
There are warriors running around, that do insane damage, and never die. They barely take any damage at all, and conditions have no effect on them…. (not talking about the stance)
…when you see one of those ones, just report them. Let Anet sort it out.

With vulnerable i mean that its possible for an engineer to get hit by 8,5k retaliation by using one skill and this is the -33% WvW value.
Engineer is a free kill and he is very easy to spot due the backpacks. We target engineers first because they usally die pretty fast compared to necros with 3 healthbars and permablinds, PU-Mesmers and thiefs with permastealth or eles with 3 cantrips or warriors or anything.
Throw Elixir B is a joke, a pretty bad one. But i already said that when they patched it.
Stability on a skill with casttime, traveltime and without any stunbreake effect is just useless. Dont get me wrong, engineer is a very strong class, but not in group fights with assist.
