If you are paying attention they started introducing Halloween stuff in early October. Keep in mind this is the third year for Holiday events. Every year they add something new. By releasing stuff now the gem store is more evenly spread out instead of crammed with tons of junk in one day.

Here is a way to make people change their pet name from Juvenile.

If you leave the Juvenile name by default and do not change it. The game will rename your character name to “Juvenile Player” until you change their name.

Druid is an Elite Profession, not a class.

Easy fix. Weapon swap out of shield.

The expansion is good, even if you solo. Exploring the maps, mastery system and the elite professions alone are great. Worth the money? No. Not at it’s current retail price.

The expansion has been out for just over a month. What to do with exp after you maxed all your mastery would be the least of my concerns.

In order to to cull the Norn population they have gated Norn characters from leaving the tutorial. Hopefully they will fix the Sylvari tutorial to prevent them from finishing the tutorial also.

In the mean time, check out the Asura. A lovely race indeed.

I do not at all mind you switching to a warrior, as part of the game is to play multiple professions. However you should of posted this in the Warrior forum. By posting it here you are basically trolling us by giving the middle finger and claiming peace out kittenes.

If the serial number has been scratched off the Legendary then I would reconsider. Also you should take it to a Weapon smith to validate it’s authenticity. A lot of fake Legendary’s are floating around.

I am not upset at this. The gems to gold and vice versa feature has been there since it’s inception. Tossing in a cue card to let players know, especially new players that this is a option is fine by me.

What happened to Micro-transactions? I am sorry, but spending over $20 just for one bundled item? There is nothing micro about it. I thought the point was you could buy items that were considered smaller purchases, like $4-$6 if you used real money. I do not mind spending a initial 20$+ dollars and over time purchasing 2-3 items and converting the rest to gold.

Voting with my wallet. I don’t need the F2P bundle of garbage to get one thing that I want. This will hurt them in the long run. Sure a few will bite and put down 2000 gems. But for every person who put down 2k gems, they are losing about 8k gems if they were to sell them separately.

There is this continual, underlying anxiety I experience while playing against these timers on these new maps. I should not be feeling this way in a video game. I understand the need for timers and a sense of urgency and the ability to fail but it’s tacked onto everything. I cannot even grab a glass of water while sitting idle in Exalted armor. Going to the bathroom means I will now get under 200% participation because I did not tag some mobs in a chain event.

When I go back to the old zones I feel this sudden weight off my shoulders. I guess I will be spending my time there for the -time- being.

I bought gems and converted them to gold to buy silk. Everything else I did through crafting via node farming and salvaging. This is all pre- HOT. I also received two ascended weapon chests. I also have a handful of rings from drops, mainly WvW ranking and Guild missions.

Roy was pondering adding a higher base damage to torment for the Revenant under Mallyx or Corruption like some type of trait, but I do not know what ever happened from there. Not saying that would be a day/night change but he did acknowledge Mallyx and Condi rev does need some lovin.

I am not sure how I am suppose to feel about it. Anet could of simply disbanded their guild, suspended their accounts or even issues bans. Considering they likely did not break the NDA , Anet has no authority to do this.

However, Karma is a B. Publicly announcing DNT’s removal from this program was ingenious. Let them get shamed by the community, discredited and boo’ed at. Let them start turning on each other within their guild, see how long they last. Anet just sits back and chuckles.

Claw island is a bad basis for comparison. I ran multiple toons through there. some have it easy, others had their rears handed to them.

I love how we(some) argue, you can go support, healing there are people who love it. True they love it, but we ALL know as well as them, that they only half as good as they could be, as there comrades who run Shiro/Glint Zerk. I mean, if you running around doing meta events with tons of people, as long as it completes its all good. You are quite correct however sometimes you have to remember to have fun with the game, and play what you want, and how you want. After all it’s your money and time, and your character. I will change my build and gear for very focused and challenging content and be on my top game. But in open world meta events sometimes I just want to be casual, other times, all out max dps/control/support maniac

Two fixes:

Spec the herald trait line but do not use the Glint legend

Stick post it notes on your screen to cover your utility slots.

Do you have 500 weaponsmith? If not go with staff. You can craft the rest but leveling artificing to 500 is a lot of money.

Otherwise I would go between Sword or Hammer first.

I feel that going melee (sword) and chasing the ever moving mobs there (or facing Axemaster) is solid murder, so I focus more on Hammer + booning allies.

Personally, I think if going Herald with any boon duration stats or runes is a bit overkill. Facet of Nature is 50% boon duration. Envoy of Sustenance is 15% boon duration. I would go with other stats that would benefit us more.

I farmed using a alt. I wanted to save tomes so I used a scroll to insta lvl 30 him, and when i got tired of farming he was level 54

It would depend on the content. In WvW I go all soldier’s on the front line however in PvE too tanky means it takes longer to kill things so i would have some dps trinkets tossed in there.

I have Zerker armor, strength runes, with Valk-Zerker jewelry., all Ascended. I can trade in ring etc to go full dps or toss in toughness for more tanky. I have a good amount of dps, crit, power and health pool.

I was able to use the Revenant Herald facet to reveal frogs in Verdant brink. The trick is to stand on top of them and pop it the moment they go stealth do to the restrains of range.

Yesterday our map completed the meta and after my awards popped up my game crashed, then I logged back into a map where the meta was going on still and completely failing. First time my game has crashed in months. Sad panda.

I wish they use your hammer skin and not the generic ones you use hammer skills. Imagine Hammer 5 summoning a giant Juggernaut and smashing people below it.

I would suggest speccing the salvation line. There is a staff specific trait called Tranquil Benediction: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Tranquil_Benediction

The staff is tied into a healing/support role and also to Ventari Legend, considering that traitline also supports the tablet and the Legend itself. You can of course dps with the staff but it is currently not top in dps in terms of numbers.

Is anyone using a specific build for Ventari that has a healing/tanky approach? I was thinking of a nomad or cleric set as a spare for really intense encounters.

I never really considered this but after making Ascended weapons I need help with sigils.

I have a sword and shield on Revenant. If I auto attack with the sword can sigils on my shield, that have a on hit or on critical effect proc even though I am technically not attacking with the shield?

What I don’t understand with the Mentor tag is that you can activate it in lvl 80 zones. This is supposed to be used for mentoring new players so in should be in lower level zones, ok not necessarily only in starting areas but after level 70 they shouldn’t be used anymore. And also having a limit on the number of tag per maps could be a nice idea b/c in some maps every player is mentoring… but the question is : is there still anybody w/o the tag to be mentored?

Yes, by the time you are 80 you should not need a mentor. It is not uncommon to run into 80s who know less than someone who just joined though.

Both of you are incorrect. Being level 80 does not instantly enlighten you with clear knowledge every event meta, hero point, mastery point, adventure, jumping puzzle, boss in game.

I seen someone turn on mentor to form a group in Auric Basin to do a few Hero points. They also helped in the Meta event on that map. However the tag on someone being a kitten gives the mentor tag a bad rep.

How about the tablet becomes a back pack piece you wear. It is quite fitting and you would take it along where ever you go. I am not talking a actually item, it would just be the effect.

It is currently a known bug at the moment.
