Druids get access to Shoehorn.

And just a heads up Revenant will not be getting any racial elite skills :/
Do we know this for a fact, or only something that hasn’t been implemented yet?
Roy addressed it on the Rev forums:

I’m guessing they might be able to be slotted into any Legend, which could be pretty convenient to replace some of the less useful Legend skills…
The problem is that they are balanced around having 1 skill bar and not 2 for the right half of your bar. They are also not made with energy in mind and would need to be changed to work with revenant, but would muddy the purity of each legends skill set playstyle. I thought I had mentioned it before on one of the initial streams, but racial skills won’t be usable on revenant.

I work on systems, skills, and balance, among other things.

Is anyone going to instant level 80 via scroll/tomes and then do the personal story to amount additional exp after level 80 to put towards a mastery track? I was under the impression Tomes of Knowledge would work giving you exp after 80 but I believe that is not the case. I have 85 tomes, also I have like 20 tomes that can only be used by characters under level 80 I think this was a personal story reward at the end. All I know is they do not stack :\ Along with a few year 1 and 2 level 20 birthday scrolls.
I also took my alts and parked them at rich iron ores and used a alt to rotate the other maps with the watch work pick for Ascended farming. the amount of deldimor steel you need is too dang high! If the armor does not wipe you, you will be hard pressed for weapons.
I wonder if Forge is the name of the hammer or helmet that the Scrapper is using.
Real Frustrations for the Causal Player
- Farming Iron produces the most consistent income. 2 gold per hour average.
Does your character have Risen Brute perma-cripple on it or what?
Rata Pten/Murkvale/Observation Platform, Terra Carorunda, Timberline cave/Fisher’s Eye bridges and Brisban run came out to 300+ metal, 150 trees and 60+ plants per hour last time I tracked it. Easily 8-10 gold/hr after TP fees, more with WW pick.
I know a few of these location, but is there a guide? I would be gratefull.
I really think Anet became a victim of their own success on this one. They went outside the box with the game engine and did some jerry rigged coding to pull off some of the stuff that happened behind the scenes, mostly mechanic wise back then.
Now that the game engine has evolved so much since, SAB is not backwards compatible. The code is obsolete and broke as all heck. However I do not understand why the server is running the scripts still, considering that player like Neo was able to enter the matrix.
They would have to gut and restart SAB, not from scratch since they have the models and concepts all figured out. It would be like tearing a broken engine out of a car, rebuilding it and putting it back in. It takes time, and with HOT it’s not happening, at least not this year.
I always had trouble with this, especially moving world bosses like Tequatl or the Shatterer. Especially when then come down to land and my camera is panned out so far that the camera collides with the model.
That is awesome that you can Halo jump. It looks like it does require some good timing along with good latency to pull it off.
Interesting to see what armor types people are choosing. looks like valk and zerk are the top faves. I know the Mallayx changes for some people skewed their prepping but we still have another beta to go.
I did purchase a bag slot when they were on sale (the physical one) and have it stored in my bank. I can’t justify the price difference between a 18 to 20 slot bag. And the ones I have are account bound and already used on my main.
I bought a few sets of runes that are currently cheap that might possibly become more popular or even meta comes release. I did this also for my Dare Devil.
Right now I am using my alt to do map clear and farm for ascended via getting iron and platinum ore (<3 my 50% off watchwork pick ) Also forgot ascended weapons need spirit wood for the dowel to make the inscription so I been chopping trees like a mad man.
Right now my bottle neck is dark matter, and I do have some orichalcum banked. I might have to break down craft exotics to salvage them.
You actually have a better chance winning real money from a scratch off ticket and using it to buy gems to get keys than you do actually getting one to drop.
If the OP sends in a ticket simply explaining the situation than most likely will be refunded the difference back. Their Customer Service is pretty good with those types of scenarios. I bought two of the same weapon skins before the wardrobe system came out and I was refunded one without question.
At least Karl acknowledged that pistols need help. first thing I would do is make them 1200 range, —-—considering we are the only profession in game that has no 1200 range weapon.—— Even with DareDevil we get no 1200. Sure steal is 1200. But who wants to steal into a Boss who has a huge PB aoe and cleave?
make its a 3 second slow we steal and I would be content.
No one knows, but it does not hurt to hold onto the dye pack just in case
Halloween in Tyria:
Oct 22nd, 2012
Oct 15th,2013
Oct 21st, 2014
HoT: Oct 23rd, 2015
So since they favor Tuesdays for updates but HoT release being a Friday, I am thinking Halloween will be Oct 13th, 2015.
0: Ranger
Requirements: Equip Bow, Press 1, and learn to activate autoattack
Ranger can afk through most leveling content thanks to the pet.
Which makes it the top profession used by botters :-p
In terms of the mechanics of each profession, regardless of which game type, or traits, equipment etc..
Difficult: Elementalist, Engineer, Mesmer.
Easy: Warrior, Ranger
Everyone else in between.
The issue is that those outfits were designed for that specific race so if they sold them, it would have to be cultural only. I love some of the Female Noble outfits for my roleplay character.
Ask the people who deleted stacks of unwanted bloodstone dust before Mawdrey came out. They will tell you to keep everything.
You guys realize when Mawdrey gives in to the calling of Modremoth and turns on you it will not be pretty when a vine wraps around your neck.
The old exchange was better. The new exchange rounds to the nearest gold. In the old system if I had 803 gems and wanted to round it down to a even 800 for OCD sake. I could put in 3 gems and get the exact exchange in silver.
Dangit, Now I want Skritt as a playable race. A Skirtt Scrapper. Say that fast 5 times.
wow, knee jerk reactions come fast on here. Clearing a condi every 10 secs would be fun
At first I thought the “Forge” was the Engineer elite and the “Scapper” was the Ranger elite…
All Sylvari players will be yellow tagged in the expansion maps. It will be up to the players to attack them or not. Also to a Sylvari, all other players are attackable.
I see a Scarlett Cosplayer playing living world season 2, hmmmm?
Congrats! I care, but dem empty character slots!
equip the armor, and then press H to go to hero panel under your equipment and double click the rune then click on the coat to apply it.
- Since corruption and mallyx is all about being the master of torment and being pushed more that route, I’m playing around with an idea I wanted to run by all of you. Torment is less valued in stationary fights due to the way torment functions. Since torment is the main damaging condition for Revenant, I’ve been thinking about adding functionality to a trait or maybe changing the minor 2 in corruption to increase the base damage torment does while not moving while not increasing the while moving damage to help it become more of a viable option in all areas of the game. What do you all think?
That would work. So upping the base damage they get tore up standing still with torment and even more while moving. That would work well with frigid precision, as you could land torment then chill. Or even toss in a fear to send them running
For our 4th birthday we get a luck eater giving only blues and greens in return
ENJOY ! Of course only exotic luck will do as it’s picky. Call it Puck, Puck for Luck
We already have a luck eater. It is called the Mystic forge.
I did not get much time to try pvp/wvw yet alone see what was the beef on Mallyx, and I guess based on the patch notes I will never find out.
From just reading the change in shield I liked the concept of defiance, but I completely understand it’s complications and it was best to remove it over all. I don’t think the game is ready for defiance on players just yet, maybe next expansion?
My Rev will likely use the shield more than any other profession I play that has a shield, even though my guardian is giving me the finger as I type this.
I know Roy is reading all these feeling the heat from the “nerfs” but you guys have to realize: New profession. New expansion. If you have to put things on the butcher block, do it during beta and not after release.
I been crafting all the materials to make ascended but I am not sure what stats I want for mainly PVE. Any suggestions?
I have a ton of damask already crafted and ready, now I am stockpiling deldrimor steel for the armor and weapons. Already have enough vision crystals for a full set of armor and 5 weapons. I was lucky and got a Ascended weapon box to drop from Teq last week. I am going to pick a staff because i do not have 500 artificing. 400+ laurels so I am good there, along with all the other stuff including karma, obsidian shards and dark matter.
I am going to use a level 30 scroll and start there, plus I will likely need the skill points anyways.
No I am not talking about Doomsday Preppers with their bunkers and canned food stockpiled. I am talking about something more important. HOT Prepping.
As the release date grows closer I have been getting more focused on trying to prep my Rev. From getting gear ready, leveling tomes, runes, sigils, weapons, etc. I even dedicated a area in my bank for Ascended items that will be yanked from my poor Guardian and Warrior to be used for my new and shiny Rev.
On top of playing with Builds on websites, reading over forums posts and waiting for the next beta to try things out, what have you been doing to “prep” for your Rev?
Here is what I datamined so far:
Forge helm has 400 toughness.
Forge can turn nearby Rangers into Druids to use as their drone pets.
Good stuff so far, I will continue my data minecrafting.
so shiny..so chrome…

My major gripe is when craft masters are too close to the craft stations. I try to do some crafting, but nope, apparently I have to buy something instead.
Not only that, but the actual area you have to stand in to get the craft option is too small.
They put in this giant forge with tools and a anvil, in this nice open space, and they have us standing on top of each other to craft
I hope they have a sale today and just lead into Tuesday with a gem store update. I think most the sales were meh, but I actually got a number of great things I wanted on sale, or were limited edition skins. I would of been more aggressive with my sales if I was in charge of this. I put out 4 items a day minimum, and do things like 50% all harvesting tools in the gem store for one day. 40% off all outfits for one day etc,
What’s not constructive: “Rewards are bad” (with absolutely no suggestions for how they might be improved).
Telling you that “a reward is bad” it is, actually, constructive.
In order to solve any problem, first you must know what is wrong.
And obviously, you didnt know the rewards were bad (cause you designed it this way, like it was good).
Thats why it is constructive that someone say it to you guys.Giving solutionts it is always better, no doubt, but pointing the problem to someone who clearly dont realize there is a problem, it is the first step.
Btw, I made my constructive opinions in the spanish forums, i hope you check them.
I believe Gaile means when people say “rewards are bad” and that’s it. They do not follow up with any details or suggestions. Its like telling your IT guy your computer does not work, or telling the mechanic your car does not run.
Thanks for owning up to this and giving us an update.
I bought the Total make over but with the leaked new hairstyles they are putting out I seen on reddit I am holding off on using it.
They need to extend it till all next week.
If this was QA tested: Shame
If it was not QA tested before going live: Double shame.
I do not understand. I appreciate what they are trying to do. It was a nice, unexpected surprise. But please… do it right. Give loot, rewards. No grinding problems, tagging issues. The entire concept is a farce.
I do not mind investing time to get a potion. But like all the other events they were attainable with effort. This event has too many pitfalls, making the return on investment poor.
On top of this, GW2 is really in the spotlight with all this free for Play for free and the expansion due next month. You don’t always have a second chance to make a first impression
Per Reddit:

Dang Mordrem. They’re EVERYWHERE! They even got into the code and did bad stuffs.
Seriously, we’re really sorry about the non-reward issue! The team is aware of the problem and is working to correct the issue as soon as possible.

The old events were better and had more variety.
Kill ambient creatures.
Do a costume brawl
salvage 10 items.
Kill aquatic animals.
Low level players can not do fractals, Jormag the new system always ticks me off even though the rewards are ok
So they really are doing a throwback to scarlet’s assault with the thoughtless and selfless potions. I might actually grind for one of those halos this time around.
Asuran Warrior, Asuran Guardian, Asuran Revenant.
Bow down and accept the master race.
Two Rev’s could work together with one supporting frontline, and one in the back supporting ranged characters. The advantage of range is you are out of harms way for many attacks, but you lose out on some dps with not being in boon range. the people in the middle and up toe to toe need the buffs, so they can stick in the heat of battle without being steamrolled. So yea, 600 range is a nice sweet spot. Not stacking, yet not across the entire area. Positioning is also part of the Rev’s tactics.
