I’m enjoying my purchase, but I did only get it yesterday. A fair bit is gated behind exp (masteries) so you have to keep that in mine. Also, people are unhappy with how Daredevil turned out, though I’m personally sticking it out. I still find thief condi builds to be fairly strong in pve. Also, gliding is pretty dang fun. The incentive to do old and new world stuff for the masteries is a nice change of pace too.
It should also be noted, your character has a voice again! Oh god, I was so freaking happy to hear my gruff Charr again! My vow of silence has finally ended!
Any other Charr mains kind of find this a bit off putting? It seems a little uncharacteristic for them to call people in their warband “friends.” They are more like family than anything. The fact you actually call your group your warband is awesome, but uhg… Constantly referring to them as friends seems sort of.. off to me. Am I alone here? I’m a gruff grizzled war veteran that climbed the ranks of possibly the most strict armies on the face of Tyria. Raised as a soldier from a cub for crying out loud! When did “friend” get adopted into my vocabulary?!
I’m sure they will be voicing for the Revenant abilities. My thief has been commenting on running out of energy lately and I’m kitten ed sure he didn’t do that a while ago.
If the client exists in China I see no reason there shouldn’t be an option to import other languages. Naturally, it would be moderately memory consuming and not for everyone, but the option to download a language pack would be nice.
After the kitten that went down in LA (right next to them) they probably think we are out of our minds. After that, I imagine what ever semblance of eagerness to reach out with us has all but evaporated. That, or perhaps the poison leaked over the wall and they are all gone the way of the Dodo.
I just hope we get at least some new content in between the wait if it’s truly many months away. Blizzard pulls that crap way too often and I hope Anet can be better than that.

That, or at least let the guilds MotD pop up in the chat box when you log in to a character. It would help us get our bearings on our alts and have the added benefit of knowing when the message was bloody updated! ARGH
If it were an instanced raid I could see reasons to police your members to maximize productivity, but for an open world boss… Yeah, I think he has the right to spec and gear how ever he sees fit. It would be nice to have options, but this is all we have and probably ever will have. These open world fights can have a LOT more people swarming the boss than most traditional instanced raid environments. The need to police individuals isn’t exactly as necessary.
A while back, before Final Fantasy 14 (the first version) it was announced that the initial iteration of Guild Leves would work on a trickle system much harsher than it is today. It was a form of effort to prevent people from playing the game too much. Needless to say, people were outraged by the prospect. Do you REALLY want ArenaNet to baby its players like that?

Actually, doesn’t the entry field keep track of the names of people you typed in? I recall it auto filling when I entered the right letter and what not. That might just be for people on your friend list, but I kind of recall it doing that for names not on the list as well..
You could also take a look at your followers tab. They might have added you to their friends list.
It would be helpful, given there are individuals who joined specific servers for RP reasons. Would be helpful for them to be able to ID one another. Same for those people that are very language specific… Someday perhaps.
Well like I said, all I hear is people complaining they never get to reclaim the temples and that they are always defended by us. Are you positive when you go to the zone that Balth is simply not under our control?
There are alternatives to getting obsidian shards, although not really as effective. You have get em by trading fractal tokens, laurels, and.. not 100% sure, but probably guild tokens too?
You should actually go to the zone with the Balth temple. You can’t rely on the map to tell you its true status without being physically in the zone.
How has the megaserver hindered your ability to get shards from the temple? From what I hear the megaserver has brought on the issue where the temples are always under our control. The only time you could buy them was when Balth was ours.
Getting all these people to agree on one way when they all think their way is the absolute right one is about as easy as that Twitch Plays Pokemon thing.
Yeah I see what you mean now. Logged in to verify and you are correct, that zone is flagged for the megaserver. If I had to guess, it was grouping people, but it was also filling a map that already had people in it, so ultimately it was filling it to the max with your guild, but went over the max and made another map. Since it doesn’t seem to make you change maps when you are already in it.. yeah I can see a huge oversight here. This needs to be fixed asap. Like you said, this basically makes bounties a hell of a lot more restrictive.
Are you positive the maps you were on were megaserver enabled? Some maps still do NOT have it yet. If you are ever unsure, visit the group finder. If the world section at the top does not have a (…) at the end, then it does not have megaserver yet.
It baffles me as to how SOME get flooded with this crap and people like me MIGHT get 3 or 4 in 6 months.
It is a matter of “luck.” I have found myself on a gold seller’s friends list. They whisper, I report and block, then they whisper again from a different account. Rinse and repeat. I’ve blocked at least 9 accounts for this in the past hour. Almost every night I do the same thing over and over again. It is rather ridiculous really.
It would be nice if friending someone required mutuality. Otherwise you just open the gates to crap like this and even general stalking.
To be fair, can you really expect a very large regional player base to exist in a game that does not support their native language? Most of them can’t read English.
People post complaints because a a kitten of praise is ultimately a waste of time for the readers and pretty much useless info for the devs. As kittenome of these complaints can get, they are still in a sense suggestions on how to improve the game as well. Yes, it would be nice if more people understood how to give some positive feedback along with what they dislike, but sadly some people here lack that kind of writing comprehension.
Please don’t pick up kegs. At least half the people ignore you and pick up kegs.
Please range Warden 3. One platform always wipes because they melee.

Why do players in this game have such a problem listening to orders? In games such as Eve Online, if a Commander tells you to do something people actually listen.
I generally bank most of that stuff. With the ease of access to anywhere on the map I don’t see the need to hold extra tools. Though some people do like to hold lesser tools for lesser materials, so life is extra hard for em.. I don’t bother. My boosters have a permanent home in my bank because I’m sick in the head apparently and can’t make myself ever use them for fear of needing them some other day. The only things I really keep with me are salvage kits, weapons to fill different niches, 3 pvt armor pieces for those bad days in dungeons, and maybe a mini or two I am fond of.
It is pretty rough for people with limited space though as those slots fill up super fast and with less space means a lot more often you have to take a moment to clean your bags… Thank god for the collectible deposit… until you peaked 250 in your bank ><
It’s a little thing called “character development.” It’s understandable if you have your preferences for how a character develops, but this is the path Anet chose for these two. I’m just glad their living story NPCs are showing signs of growth as individuals rather than just plot critical story devices.
It would be absolutely fantastic to have some kind of website or forum dedicated to the guild. An event calendar would be great so we can get a better idea on schedules and what not.
I would love to enter in as a student. I have only done AC p1 explore and that defend event has really put me off from dungeons since launch… I would really like to overcome it one of these days. That event just always seems so chaotic I barely know what the hell is going on x_x.
There’s no point staying in the lane when your lane is up for entering through the portals; you should’ve gone in and got your achievement killing a champ in order to sever a chain.
LinkR – you only get awards from fighting champions if all 5 portal groups manage to kill their champions, then you should have Energy Probe Defender advanced one step. This achievement requires you to fight (and win!) champions in each of the 5 lanes for the complete achievement.
In general you can do 2 each Marionette event, ie. portals at lane 1 & 4, 2 & 5, 3 & 1.
Sorry, my fault. I left out that we actually won. We DID defeat all 5 champions and broke every single chain.
I fought in the arena against the champions twice and won BOTH times and didn’t get a reward either. It may have nothing to do with simply staying on defense…
Has this happened to anybody else? This reset after beating the Twisted Marionette I did not receive any side screen bonus chest, nor did the large ground chest appear. Others clearly got their loot as people were linking their spoils. I did die during the final champion fight and chose to not WP as last time I did that I did not get AP credit, so I figured that would be a bad idea… so yeah… anyone?
The stats suck for Sunless and everyone knows it. It’s painfully obvious he’s after the unique skin. Stop giving him suggestions to things that don’t even apply to the problem. Hell, buying gems and getting gem store skins don’t even help here. Troll less people >_>
I think it resets at 4 now since we fell back an hour a few months back. As for Teq, look into joining TTS. It’s a guild collective that was made for the sole function of killing Teq several times throughout the day every day. You need to apply to them on their website. They don’t demand you to rep them all the time either since they really only do one thing. They just ask for rep when you are on one of their hunts. They do not belong to one particular server.
