Anyone else crashed after talking to the 1st corpse at new brisbane instance and getting network error now ?
Current teamchat is fun, its much better than before when it was always so quiet. You dont need to read it always tho, i just ignore it lot of times. Just block spammers. Join the fun.
My blocklist increased with 137 people just since the Feature Patch.
If i hadn’t try to block then completely disable the teamchat from option already i wouldn’t post this cardinal change here.
May be 30 seconds is a bit too harsh but there has to be a cool down for team-chat messages to prevent spamming.

Like all the good things that happened to WvW people are abusing the hell outta shared teamchat feature right now spilling hours or days long non-wvw related spam.
Disabling is teamchat is not an option for people who rely on reports from other borders about enemy.
So 30 seconds cool down between messages will be enough to tone down the non-sense chat.
There are probably additional technical details available in the report, or the logs; you should send those to CS via a ticket in full.
I did already a Send Report on both of those so ticket is not necessary.
The post is made to get their attention on those because those errors point on something very terrible that is wrong.

Once you get this it is staying forever on everyone after the last patch.
One of our sound designers, Keenan, was kind enough to look into sounds effects related to a few items or areas about which players have reported concerns.
The first thing Keenan examined was the Captain’s Airship. Players said they felt that area had a rather intrusive “hissing” effect. Keenan was able to eliminate the hiss, and while he was at it, he adjusted a few other effects in that same general area. These changes went live today, and we believe you’ll enjoy your visits to the airship even more in the future.
Keenan also is looking at possible changes to two weapons that players have reported as having problematic sound effects: The Dreamer and Quip. He has an interesting idea about how to address your concerns, and we wanted to share that idea to get your feedback: “I’m thinking about trying out an implementation where both of the weapons have new, unique sounds (that are not annoying) while still giving them a very small chance to play the original sounds. It seems to me that would give everyone the same experience, remove the annoyance, and keep the original goofiness that some owners may like about the weapons.”

Gaile can the team remove the level up animation/sound from knowledge tomes for the rest of the world except the owner or put an option to disable all the similar animations/sounds from the client ?
I just had those few guys in Royal Terrace that spammed their way to 80 on multiple characters which ended up created never-ending flashed for 30-40 minutes for reset of the people in RT.
I’ve made a list of those “annoying” animations/sounds in the past and many people shared same concerns as i do.

It is bugged – yes.
Our squad was all at the event area and only 1-2 people got the achievement from a full squad.
I really would like to see a dev trying to carry a truck because that is the same as current joke – 1 person able to contest a fully upgraded keep/tower.
It should take more then 5 to contest a fully upgraded structure.
Small scale roamer action should be respectfully related to camps less upgraded structers or roaming around killing solos but not contesting fully upgraded Keeps because it literally invalidates the idea of WvW ( a fight on a massive scale )
Edit: just wanted to clarify as many pointed out that the main problem is not 1 man being able to pop white swords (because scouts exist for reason) but 1 man being able to contest the T3 Keep and it main feature – the Waypoint.

As everyone saw 10 matches for your seasonal placement are not even close to represent your rightful place and created a very messed up ladder for the majority of passed season time till now.
I think that the placement matches for next season should be at least 50 if not more so the system better seed out the players.
Healing of druid is not fine in pvp!
Other game companies would never allowe unrestricted heal spam while doing stronimical dmg. and to have a pet on top of all this.
That’s just it, though; the heals are restricted. Just recently, even, Druids had their base-healing on their skills cut a ton, with only their scaling to compensate. This lowered their damage a bunch — even with healing-stat amulets, their healing is still lower than it was before.
On top of this, the cooldown for CA form was increased from 10 seconds to 15. As for their dps, it’s mediocre at best. Their only decent DPS comes from their 2 pets, which each only have 1 cooldown-inhibited and telegraphed attack.
Devs need to address this issue as fast as possible before it ruins pvp as a whole in future.
Guildwars 2 have – self healing skill which is enough.
After devs started to copy-paste from wow starting with raids and their so called “soft trinity” things gone potato.
Trinity linked healing skills are not implementable in this game style and combat mechanics – they ruin it.
Ok, first of all, this is not an issue. Nearly all of the heals that Druid has are only accessible in their CA form — and the heals that matter have very telegraphed and uninterruptible cast-times. Furthermore, after a Druid enters CA-form, they have almost no condi-clear for another 15 seconds at least. Condi-bombing a Druid after they pop CA will almost always kill them.
Self-healing is important but it does little to allow for the healer/support role that a lot of people enjoy. The soft-trinity is definitely still there — by the very backbone of your argument; otherwise Druids would not be able to do damage, and self-healing would not exist.
If by “Trinity” you are referring to hard-trinity, then yes, you are correct that they are not implementable in this game. But the soft-trinity is and was implemented. In my opinion, the game is all the better for it.
If you need tips or tricks on how to deal with Druids, I would be happy to help you. What profession do you normally play? And what build do you run with it?
Today’s date is 20 December 2016 – 1 year from now if healing is not bound to some sort of mana pool or energy pool the Guild Wars 2 will stop existing the way we know it and become unplayable. (call me everything but I’ve seen other MMOs ruined by comination of unlimited heal or unlimited CC so it’s not even my opinion but straight fact from the past experience)
I really hope devs do the healing bound before Expac 2 because if now they’re probably creating a far worst monstosities copied from wow as elite specialisations.
I really do not wanna see such a good game ruined by short sighted decusions to copy other game’s mechanics to a game that cannot home those mechanics being fundamentally different.
By the way thanks for the offer but i have a friend who is very high in leaderboards that helps me out. (fun fact he climbed to his place playing current meta pvp druid and that broken warrior build just to show our guild how out of balance they’re both – all that in few days)

Currently healing of Druids is out of control since it’s literally unrestricted on top of them being the class with most range and having a pet that have HP pool the size of Atlantic ocean.
This is a very disturbing oversight for PvP while it may be fine in Raid and general PvE.
Other games balanced healing skills by linking them with mana pool of the given class but in Guild Wars 2 its restricted only by the laughably low skill cooldowns and how fast one player can spam their heals on their druids.
A druid can literally just heal itself while the pet can act as 1 man army and kill you.
What’s your sample set? 1 game?

My sample size is the size of EU PvP lobby mapchat which is still smaller then your scattered EGO that required to overbuff 1 class and make it FoTM (like DH and Necro previous one)
4/5 eles = 100% win rate.

Literally wasn’t suprisez after what Balance team has surves us past 4-5 years – INBALANCE in favour or fraction of devs.

6. Separate Team Que – It is unacceptebale that full pr 4/3 pre-mades getting matched against full random daily players after 4 years of Guild Wars 2 PvP existance and this need to change where pre-mades have their own separate Que and never get matched with random teams.
Matches with hotjoin teams matched against pre-made organised teams with voice-comms and laid down tactics is just 1 sided stomp and not pleasent for neigter of the sides.

5. Chat bubbles for /t (teamchat) – for easier communication inside the visual noise fights and help with players who don’t offten check the chat.
I’m sure that Season 5 changes are already decided so i’m making a suggestion for Season 6.
Changes below are aimed to improve the current PvP Ranked Games.
1.Division Demote: Every division except ‘Amber’ & ‘Emerald’ should feature a demote – where you can drop to your previous division if you loose 3 matches at the beginning of top tier divisions – Sapphire,Ruby,Diamond,Legend – Trolls,afk players and other type of unskilled and bad mannered players shouldn’t have a safeguard to keep them in top divisions once they get carried to top tiers.No one should be safe to troll and ruin games for others.
2.Class Mastery: Top Tier Division (Ruby,Diamond,Legend) promotion should require you the 5 difference classes wins (like the achievement but this should be bound with progression bar) – Unacceptable to have players in diamond,legend who play single class and cannot re-roll when team needs it for the optimal team composition.
3.Pre-made division restriction: Pre-made teams should not be able to form party with 1 division difference – amber cannot party sapphire and so on – Playing with sapphire in diamond,legend is just not right.Skill/build/meta/class gap is way too high or different comapared to low tiers – those people will have to walk the way from bottom to top and master their skills instead of poping up here and there at top tier matches where they do not belong.
If people want to play with their friends go play unranked and help your low tier friends master pvp so they can climb the ladders like rest of us instead of carring them to games they cannot handle just to ruin the for the team and the enemy team.4. NO Mono-Class Teams in Ranked : Ranked games to get the tournament feature which allow only 2 of same classes per team (2 eles per team for example).

2 – Disagree – I’m not opposed to class mastery per se, but it should not be attached to seasonal achievements. Majority of players excel at one class. Being competent does not win matches and I think “mastery” should encourage excellent in competition not mediocrity.

4 – Agree – however increased build diversity, better balance and addition of classes will all help achieve same outcome.
I have a lot more suggestions how to improve the current dying PvP system but I see no will from developers to actually work towards those.
Other Games have all those and they work.

2. That’s a horrible idea. The way this game is played, even when classes have counters, things such as movement, map layout, and having a good timing with skills have such a huge effect on gameplay that wanting people to change classes to create an ideal team is not a good idea. Basically, counters and team comp are not so extreme that they are an “I win” rather a decent advantage.
I’m not going to address the others. The pvp system we have is pretty good dude. If you can’t make your way to whatever tier you think you should be in then you probably are not as good as you think.
Thats the thing – I’m quite good and not with a single class but 3 the least.
I make it to top tiers every season without even trying much.
The thing is the current pvp system is “toxic wasteland” and not good as you said.
We have bad players,unskilled players and abusers of flawed pvp system all the tim right now.
This need to change – specially for top tiers which are meant for best pVp players not some random dude who got carried whole season and have single class which cripples every team he joins specially when he is a double or triple.
Good example that sums current PvP Season:

This is an issue for Solo-Queue, not so much when you are in a group and have complete control over your choices. Plus, there is not only ONE way to play a single class.
This actually discourages good gameplay and invokes a more careless one. Heck, it discouraged me from doing Ascension achievements… I rather not play ranked with a class I’m not experienced with and I don’t recommend others to practice classes in ranked either.
Or you know you can have few squishy classes in your team in heavy bunker meta which cannot get into the point let alone cap+hold it.
Or you can have couple of support build classes during a heavy dps meta where they cant even support themselves let alone support the team.
In both scenarios – you loose.
On the other hand if you encourage people to play RANKED games when they can actually be flexible and swich multiple classes you will:
1. Have more variet and interesting games.
2. Better teammates that understad the game and classes they own and face better.
3. Overwall better game quality which will promote having more tournament ready teams that want to compete in Guild Wars 2 Tournaments. (currently the gap between Tournaments Pro. Teams and Ranked Teams is like few Light Years)I fully support LordHealseth (even tho I’m not much of an elitist like people call him and other pro. players) about his suggestion that PRESTIGIOUS ITEMS (like TheAscension backpack) from PVP should be hard to earn and require you to be trully legendary and not “I cannot re-roll coz I’m exp. with single class” type of player.
Again, those are mostly solo-queue issues that were heightened issues because people were forced to play multiple classes for a “legendary”. Organized teams/Pro teams don’t have this issue.
And yeah, I get it…if there is a legendary reward, it should be somewhat hard to get…but what’s so “legendary” about playing a class you aren’t familiar with? People should be rewarded for what they are good at not be rewarded for something they are inexperienced with.
This can be resolved in another way: “Win X ranked games WITH an Engineer”, “Win X ranked games WITH an Elementalist”, “Win X ranked games WITH a Revenant”, etc. That would encourage more variety in team composition than just forcing someone to play another class.
You should get familiar with few classes if you’re going to play RANKED.
If you want to be mono-class player play unranked.

The lack of ‘division demote’ puts all ruby players in bad situation having to play with diamonds in their team who got the backpack and made it to dieamond already – so they just go afk or slack or troll.
This need to change.
It is the same for every other division but hurts RUBY the most.

The queue at top tier server will reach the 100+ man at primetime like it was before removal of DBL.
Top tier servers already strugle to fit all their guilds in alphine borders now with the removal of 1 of them they will have to fit even more guilds into 2 alphine maps.

Alphine border coming back made huge amount of WvW players joining back gw2 now with this change there will be people who will leave again – probably they will leave for good this time getting fed up with monority decided for majority.
Question here is will WvW survive this.

If they had spent that time doing combat theory crafting they might have figured out such basic mechanics of the necro by now.

I have 8 000 hours in this game where at least 7 000 are spend in WvW raiding with my guild so please don’t be so ignorant and call people pver’s – It makes Broze Tier Players like you really stupid. (Oh yes you’re not anonymous we can all see since when you’ve been playing and where you spend your time in-game my dear PvE loving friend)
I want this game to be balanced for all classes – right now every other class which can use staff except necro have their skills able damage downed players and this need to be fixed.
“Wvw veteran” thinks server ranking means anything other population and coverage. (You realise the sig under my posts was created by me right? .. What anonymity?).
8000 hours in the game and only just realised that marks don’t damage downed players unless triggered by others walking into it, you can spend all the hours you want in game it means nothing to me if all you did was follow the monoblob trying to tag people for loot.
You’re using what you call a backline build with reaper’s shroud? Like I said spend more time theory crafting for combat than spreadsheeting loot calculations before you comment on balance decisions.
Marks have been this way since launch.

I want a fair play for everyone and equally fair reward for all classes not just for some of the pressing 11111 for example.
No matter what it is – bug or bad weapon design it need to be addressed so we don’t reach the point of mono-classing one day in future where everyone play same class because it benefit them the most.
(Example: Thats why we have reward tracks,rank up chests and gatherable nodes so we can feel equally rewarded like people who like to play PvE)

Skill rotation is like always – Well bomb on enemy when raid leader calls for it and then staff&marks on the enemy zerg and enemy players trying to revive their downed comrades.
Please do share what am I doing wrong here to get less loot bags ?
The Toxisity in this threat is over the roof and show how “bad” are the forum warriors.
Thing that I’m trying to point out is that there is a very notorious bug that most of you ignore:
Even if you tag the whole enemy zerg while they’re alive when they start getting downed and finished if you do not tag them again you do not qualify for reward.
We’re talking about bug not about you being “PRO” players and me being “Newbie”.
Past years I’ve created a spreadsheet for my guild adding every bit of loot data to it and the percentage shows that necros (now reapers) are almost always with less loot after every raid.
Stop being so “Pro” for a while and try seeing the things from different point of view please.

4 years later I’ve finally discovered why everyone else was swimming in lootbags while I as necro get 1/3 (in best cases) of anyone in my WvW raid group.
WvW involves a lot of players getting downed and those downed players do not get affected by necro marks.
Somehow I was always with less loot then my guild mates who was part of my raid so I’ve finally figured it out that my main build being staff necro using marks do not hit downed players thus I do not qualify to get loot from those players.
Can we get this fixed in any way ?

You guys should have pointed out that 1st option is covering the “night capping” inside the poll.
For the record we’re not discussing the “Hired guns” guilds that transfer from server 2 server once in a while when they find a new server to pay for their transfers and screw up every WvW community they leave behind.
We’re talking about small guilds who are willing to join a different servers to join new WvW communities and expirience different match-ups.
WvW Communities have internal Politics you like it or not and its in human nature to disagree with each other so when a conflict rises one of the sides chooses to leave the current community to solve the argument moving to another server – this is not possible with this Ancient “server full” mechanic and creates unnecessary drama and overburdens some communities.

This attempted population balance tool “Server FULL” need to be removed as soon as possible.
After megaserver became a thing server population limiting has only 1 area of influence left – WvW.
But right now after the server linking for WvW became a thing too this limitation is cripling several servers quite a lot.
I’m in one of those FULL servers but yet we’re with out manned buff whole morning on all borders till primetime and at least several hours till mid-day even in EBG.
We have people willing to join our server’s WvW Community from other actually overstacked T1 servers but they can’t because our server is full.
Why does this thing still exist when it dont affect PvE and as you can clearly see from my example with my server it negatively affects WvW in many servers ?
This ancient population balance tool need to be removed at once forever and stop be a burden for us.

QoL change – Remove the Crafting Tables from Borders so those cheap PvE players eager to not waste 1s stop using the WvW as free bank/free crafting TELEPORT.
Every WvW player enters wvw already stocked on crafted consumables so those are not needed and serve as QUEUE creating tool – specially now that we have World Linking.

Happened to me 3 time (same error code)
2 times in WvW
1 time in Auric Basic Octovine main event.
After I finished HoT story on my 2nd character Living story 2 activated and i cannot get rid of it since than.
I quit it and every time i move to another map/instance or log out than log back its activated by itself.
It says read your mail but i don’t have any mail nor i get new mail after i quit and re-activate the kitten thing.
This bug happened in the past and was supposed to be fixed …well guess what – its back on full force.
EDIT: follow up on this matter – after trying all kind of staff from activating HoT to everything else i’ve managed to get the kitten main again.Tried playing the 1st part of the mission an quitting after i finish but …nope after moving to another map it was back again.

Long story short I have a small WvW guild of roamers/scouts made of my real life friends.
We can’t be always online at the same time due to our work and real life family schedules and the WvW and sPvP guild missions that require 3 man to be present to complete are stalling the progress of building our Guild Hall. (can’t get dem favor points)
I’ve tested last week and i can do almost all Guild Missions alone (I’m sure anyone with basic knowledge to the game can do them – let alone if you’re a veteran from betas like me)
So is it possible to lift those restrictions so small guilds can work toward their goals please?

7 matches 3 of them against 4 man teams of pre-mades vs 5 man randoms.
It is a good thing to have fast Match pop up but the price you pay for it is too high down the road in long term.
After the last patch which added an option to move compact button now my ‘deposit all materials’ button hangs very often and do not deposit anything.
I have to click it more than 2 times so it does the job its meant to.
Anyone have this ?
TL:DR – We do not perm ban people any more (copied from wow!) to be able to fight the shrinking population of our players any time now or in future and keep the false impression that our game is alive.
This will bite the revenue of any company in long term because there are people who dislike the fact that there are people who broke the rules in the past and crippled their game experience in some way allowed to play again and didn’t even loose their PAID accounts. (loosing paid account served as punishment for their crimes where 6 months bans serves as vacation for them where they just play f2p account of other games meanwhile)
Example: Next time I see one of those fancy outfits at gemstore a bell will ring somewhere that will remind me that this company allow those people who broke the rules and negatively affected my gameplay in some way to play again without loosing any money for their actions and I will simply not buy any gemstore items till they are properly punished. (TL:DR – maybe devs will pay from their pockets for every player they didn’t properly punish!)

TL:DR – I have acquired Axemaster’s Code few days ago before the patch and went to get the last 2 cores.
I did 4 runs (2 of each Blademaster and Stavemaster lanes) and never got a core.
After asking around people who was doing them too said that non of them got any cores.
