If you really want to know, it’s because I did support and believe in the game, but now im simply killing time until Archeage launch.

Simply changing boss encounters and bug fixes in dungeons isn’t enough to make up for the lack of new content in that area. I sincerely loved the dungeons in GW1, they alone are what kept me playing for 2 more years until GW2 launch. TA aether is my favorite part of this game and i feel the effort put into it was well worth. The extra achievements and puzzle aren’t necessary for more dungeon as people have previously stated in this topic. Personally, I love the rewards from it as well. They reflect dungeon concepts from GW1 with incredibly rare rewards, but not unattainable (fractal tonic :P) It saddens me that the focus of the game is on casual content and more TA aethers are unlikely to happen, but I figured I’d throw out my 2 cents.

From what i’ve seen, her teleport projectile can be reflected/destroyed, but not evaded. And her triple shot projectile cannot be blocked/reflected, but can be dodged. Not sure about pierce on it.

It’s a good thing anet doesn’t read their own forums. Otherwise they might think this guy is what the entire community thinks and we’ll lose dungeon rewards for good.

Ghostly teq kills are fun, and i don’t see how you could fail it. Knock his health to 75%, 1st burn phase to 50%, then you have to dps to 25% with no burn phase, just like the initial 25%, except he doesnt fight back. Then the final 25% the timer stops, so you have plenty of time to burn the final 25% just like you did for 50% → 25%. It adds spice to the dull fight that is tequatl.

Also, if your the leader of a 2/5 party and you kick the other person, it boots you out of the instance you started.

Don’t feel bad, anet can’t determine the difference between those exploiting this and those doing it by accident. No actions will be taken except to remove all bonus chests everyone has stacked up. Namely, Black Lion Key farmers make a new character every ~20mins, resulting in Ax chests being added, x = number of runs, A = rank – 1.
It is apparent that they either don’t know how to hot-fix this, or it just isn’t a large concern to them and will be fixed Tuesday with the various other bugs, including daily resets for some.

At least it is far easier to get 100+ people on a map with 10 people than on a megaserver map with 100 people already in it.

But was it actually possible before the Megaserver to get all those 150+ people on the same map?
Because if it wasn’t those comments are quite pointless, since nothing haven’t really changed.
It was much easier pre-megaserver because forcing a brand new overflow is very simple. But with the new system, trying to force a brand new overflow isn’t easy. We had to settle for waiting for another guild to clear out of the half full one in most cases.

The new Megaserver system is making it much harder for large guilds to organize guild missions and guild events. It is splitting our members into various overflows causing much confusion.
To add to that, the World Event timers are horrible now, something like 4+ hours to cycle through the entire chain? Just no anet, no.

Currently, when you make a new character it instantly levels its WvW rank to your account-wide rank, giving you bonus chests to be received upon next rank up. Also, they stack if you delete and remake a character.

You can only loot the chests once per day now, so running a path twice is a complete and total waste of your time.

Just a bit of a note, I know many people who blatantly clicked through tens of thousands of snowman summoners and various other party consumables in GW1 with an auto-clicker and no action was ever taken.

I played on Yak’s Bend during season 1 when the hype was still high, and after the season ended. People may claim that the servers aren’t dead, but when compared to t1/2 servers they are. It is all a matter of perspective. Most of the “zerg” fights aren’t map blobs, they are server blobs in 1 map. 2/4 Maps are normally empty.
So yes, relative to t1/2 lower tier servers are dead.

If you get Maws HP below about 40% before you finish the colossus phase of the fight, it bugs out. I’m fairly sure this has been known for quite some time considering it was a problem before the last big fractal update (Fractured). In all honesty its most likely a safety mechanic to prevent killing maw to quickly with other unintended methods.

Posted about this (looks up date) 3 months ago, if they know about it, its clearly on the low end of their infamous priority list. Unless the skill is being changed to work underwater and rush is OP, always stick with Whirlpool anyways :P

I’ve heard people say anet has confirmed that they don’t scale, and that they do, so whatever you want to think go with it. But forcing players to split when they can’t afford to in some cases is just wrong.

I just wanted to get some clarification of who exactly created the Bloodstone. The GW1 wiki claims that the Human Gods created the Bloodstone and sealed it with Doric’s Blood.
“The bloodstones are five shards of a massive stone created by the Gods of Tyria and sealed with the blood of King Doric.” -GW1 Wiki
While the GW2 wiki quotes Randall Greyston’s dialogue in Arah claiming the Seers initially created the Bloodstone.
“According to Randall Greyston in the Ruined City of Arah, the original Bloodstone was a powerful and large stone that the seers created to contain magic that was not corrupted by the Elder Dragons during their last rise. " -GW2 Wiki
I’m assuming lore wise, we had just lost the knowledge that the Seers had created the Bloodstone and assumed the Human Gods were responsible.
Any confirmation/input would be appreciated.

I was wondering why anet hasn’t tried doing a Design-a-Weapon contest for GW2. The majority of highly sought after weapons in GW1 were derived from designs made by the community. I personally think it could spark new and epic ideas from the design teams if they see what the players actually think looks good.

I noticed this bug before the patch, was having fun getting free power/condi dmg from the FGS trait that comes with its summon.

Glyph of Elemental Harmony has a 1 1/4 second cast time while on land, but underwater has a mere 1/2 second cast time. Not sure if this is in some way intended or a bug.

There are many instances of this bug, from my speculation it happens when your rapidly pressing the 2 key in expectation of going down (or spamming skills in general).

It’s only frowned upon, if there was a way to prevent it, it would have been implemented by now.

Think about it this way, the stat differences will most likely be about the same as exotic to ascended trinkets. So, while having the entire set will be nice, it won’t be game changing in any way. Because the game was designed and scaled around exotics, the only “disadvantage” you might have will be higher level fractals and possibly new content. If there is anything to complain about ascended crafting, it would be how much it discourages alts :/

Bacon, your starting to sound like the people from the reddit post claiming that full zerker armor and stacking up are exploits. There are much bigger problems to be fixed so just deal with your petty ones.

Honestly, I think many people would love a leader board that kept track of the fastest runs. That would breed real competition, as it did in GW1. And yes, they have the capabilities to do that.

I don’t understand why they don’t just set people back to 50 if they insist on a reset, the only reason the reset is happening is because anet is spiteful players abused game mechanics to “finish” fractals in 2 months, when they intended for them to take years. I’ll bet money it takes less than a week for players to hit 50 once update is out. And don’t even start with “oh, but the new gambits will make it so much harder!” That’s a load, and any experienced player knows it.

It is only a matter of time until they release a race change item. They have hinted heavily, if not flat out said there will be more playable races (can’t remember exactly), and at that point, even more of the community will want it. From what I can tell, there isn’t anything game breaking about it, simply reset personal story and your good to go. Even if anet tends to ignore its’ community, I feel like this is an issue that will get pressed.

I agree with pets being broken in that respect, but Ele’s Dragon Tooth is perfectly viable imo.
