If this player is a warrior he could get back up using vengence and heal himself using defiant stance (aka he heals for all the damage you deal to him)
Honestly if Anet reverted stability in WvW it would reduce the toxicity and lack of faith in these forums by 83%.
But it would bring the old problem back again. Whoever can maintain perma stab will get the upper hand aka the heavy frontline meta.
The only solution I can think of for this stab problem is separating skills between wvw, pvp and pve. Or making someone’s immune to cc for a few secs after casting stunbreaker
Between Dh traps, CoR, Mesmer wells(making ppl invulnerable),true shot and gunflame i doubt it’ll be as big of a problem as it was back then

What you are noticing are the massive Condi spikes that are a part of the current meta. Condos were never meant to dish out the amount of damage that they currently do all at once. This is why endure pain as well as several other skills do not stop condos and also part of the reason that death shroud is so overpowered. So yes endure pain is working as intended but condos are not.
Nah nah nah, its not condis, i have berserker stance/ a support warrior for those !
What i usually do is activate Berserker stance and Endure pain at the same time and go suicide mode into a zerg !
Thing is i noticed today my health goes down while BOTH of those are still active

Auto upgrades wont change much if a player still doesn’t need to do anything to start the upgrade (tho you could cap the camps…i guess that would work)
And…fow, you dont get to complain…You chose to let your nightcap carry you into T8.
Not having players during day time is your fault !
Not being able to hard res is good and will really put blobs at a dissadvantage, but not being able to rally puts the outnumbered side at a dissadvantage
When the enemy revs/Dh just downed half of you, rallying is your only hope
Then again, im just a T9 commander, so what do i know :P
No need to fix nightcapping, just fix the auto-upgrades so i dont have to log in to whole border fully upgraded ! (although…this might be a t9 problem only :P)

But make them actual stances.
So only one stance can be active at a time, lower the cd and effect by a lot.
For example :
Endure pain : reduce incoming direct damage by 20%.
Berserker stance : reduce incoming condition duration by 20% and generates 2 adrenaline/3s
Balanced stance : pulse stability and swiftness.Stances lasts forever and you need something like a 10s cd to switch.
Endure Pain needs to remain an anti-gank damage negation skill. Easiest way to do this, would be to simply turn it into a Physical instead, along with Mending.
The stances we’d have available would be Frenzy (attack speed increase), Berserker (generate adrenaline), Balanced (pulse stability).
Endure Pain and Berserker Stance have to stay the way they are…maybe make it 3 seconds base and 4 seconds when traited for Endure pain and 5 secs base 8 secs traited for Berserker
If I understand this right the OP is basically asking for stances to be made baseline and given to all warriors by “default” with a typical CD or an adrenal cost.

Every class gets both a little survivability and a little damage from their f-skills, while warriors get……1 more skill.
Granted, some of the skills are great but when you compare them to the other classes, their a joke
- Objectives upgrades will no longer be automatic based on time. They will upgrade based on dolyaks that reach them. Smaller groups can now prevent an objective from upgrading by preventing dolyaks from reaching that objective.
Borders will still upgrade to T3 cuz of the enemy nightcappers
To be honest i’d probably be fine with the borders if i didnt have to wake up to everything being T3 cuz of nightcapping
But untill they change auto upgrading im gonna have to say that the borders are crap

Waking up and seeing our border all fortified because of the enemy night cap and knowing they didnt do kitten to get that is one of the reasons i dont even bother logging on anymore (for most of the day anyway)
3 years, they show absolutely zero love and zero support to this game mode. It deserves to die.
As much as I may not prefer the new BL for WvW purposes, someone put A LOT of love and effort into creating it. We should consider that while presenting our opinions on it.
Yes, someone clearly put a lot of love into the new maps, the question is, Who the hell told them its a good map for WvW

My server has already lost 2 commanders, and it’s only gonna get worse if things dont change soon

Its hard enough to take keeps with noone defending said keep
Now defending a keep feels like pouring salt on an open wound
The lack of players is due in great part to the server system, the old Alpine maps were also empty before the update. Even if they did added waypoint to the new map there is not enough players around to fill them.

I had plenty of players to fight in the old borders, even in the last week before HoT !
And im in T9 EU
I fought like…3-4 guys TOTAL in the new borders (yeah, total…as in, since HoT came out)
The server system is not the problem here !
Its the completly automated upgrades and no WP’s in the side keeps that are hurting us the most ! Both of which are really easy to fix (hell, just slapping an “Upgrade” button on the quartermasters that a player has to press for the tower/keep/camp to upgrade would be enough)

The new borderlands are WAAAAAAY too big and confusing
Evem the keeps are big and confusing (we just lost “Garri” cuz we couldnt find the attackers untill they were at lord room)
Also, the auto upgrades are too fast its like 2-3 hours for keeps and 4-5 hours for SM
Forget playing, i cant even get it to download the patch without the client crashing every 30 seconds
If the servers were to get mascots shouldn’t they be related to the server itself ? (i.e the servers name)

Question: Why the hell do we care about the animations ?
We didnt care about them in GW 1 and back then 80% of All animations were copy/pasted from the other 20%

Last time RF tracked for me was before summer started…then i took a break (all summer) and now it doesn’t track at all

I know anet have muth more problems with hackers on chinese servers than EU or NA servers.
And lokks like they finaly make some automatic program to find hackers.

I know that muth of the hacks on gw2 are weery old, and i hope they finaly make some Targeting program- find hackers manualy take to muth time, so auto will help a lot here

Me personaly only 1 time see someting is wrong when we atack a sm we was on outer doors -about 7+ players- com put balista , standard canons, oil , rams, door.
When doors was on 20% the keep was fliped and all tell WTH?? .
Com was upset- why this other group of noobs dont tell they atack sm from other side!!… noone know what just happened- almost noone :P -I see enemy server hackers before so i know wheere look fast … but i was to slow or he to fast this time

But this was some time ago- i play wvsw a lot and dont see someting like this again (meaby he get some players radar-someting new) so what shal tell other players on BT? ewen when they see him (but if he is inder map i think they dont) they probably dont know its hacker – how you know that someone is a hacker? he looks like other players, he dont move with groups and dont have a name “hacker”
So as i tell before its muth harder to see hackers on your servers than other- ewen when you know where to look

Healing Spring is just stupid as a trap, for a lot of reasons
1: The logic of a trap
A trap can be made by anyone if they know how and,of course it’s gonna take some time, BUT NO ONE CAN JUST “MAKE” A HEALING SPRING !!! Of course…we are in Tyria…magic is a thing here but if you DO use magic it should be instant
2: The Holy Healing Button
When i press “6” i press it because i’m about to die not because i want to fiddle with placing a thing, then, waiting,then having to re-enter the area THEN FINALLY HEALING!!!
Cuz by that time you could kill me, then res me, THEN KILL ME AGAIN
3: The countless bugs and issues
That we only got cuz Anet thought healing spring would be better as a trap and in general turning a pretty good skill into total garbage that wont help me or my zerg or ANYONE EVER
Why are we still talking about this ?
DH is a lot slower then a LB ranger ! Plus Anet said that DH is too powerful right now and need’s some tweaks and nerfs
Even if DH is better then Lb ( which i don’t think it is ) it’s not gonna stay that way

Anyway, a lot of these ideas require either: LOTS and LOTS of Monitoring
OR Godly server capability( that can live through 100v100v100 blob fights that ARE going to happen if 27 servers are suddenly reduced to 3)
Maybe its just me,but i love WvW as it is right now and would’nt change it at all (except for the rewards…WvW just isn’t a decent way to get money )
If I may:
If we had no server we wouldn’t have our ACTUAL WvW. Which happens to be flawed.Well if they merge everyone I’d assume they’d do it cross continent so that there is no/less downtime (Some Eu servs with some NA servs with some asian servs on each side). so there “wouldn’t” be any night capping anymore since everyone will cycle between daytimes worldwide.
Community based teamspeak will just become alliance based teamspeak. Or Guild based teamspeaks, etc
It would be a big adjustment I won’t deny that but it can be done if you think about it.
You’ll end up with 3 bigger communities, one for each “alliance”. Plus it will end up giving more importance to guilds (their work, renown, etc…) within each community so I can only see that as a plus for a game called guild wars^^And as for GvGs they mostly happen in obsidian sanctum already where there’s a special arena just for that. Also Hot will introduce GvG special arenas so we could count that as a “way” of getting GvG out of WvW (since it doesn’t really suit the mode anyway)
So yeah still very viable idea imo.

You can play some EOTM and see how an alliance system works

Just stop coming up with ideas that would kill WvW and all the reasons we (or at least i ) love it
Hey Rangers! Returning to the game after a long break, and I’m an avid WvW player. Before I finish leveling my Ranger, I have to know, why are there hardly any builds for it or talk of it at all post June 23rd changes? Did the trait changes hurt them? Are they that terrible? I understand they’re fairly selfish with buffing and have little to no fields etc, but are they still “viable”? I mainly just want to have fun, and while I understand and appreciate a certain level of min maxing is required to excel at this game, isn’t sitting back sniping squish targets or pressuring their frontline still helpful? I guess my question is, what are the current builds used in WvW, both roaming and zerging, and should I bother leveling my ranger, or just play my thief who also suffers from limited helpfulness in zergs (aside from the ever boring venom share build)? Or should I play another class entirely? And why can’t something be fun AND useful Anet? Lol thanks for your time and your responses everyone!

First of all, what can we do about the hackers flipping 2 borderlands? Nothing! If you had them on your server, you wouldn’t be able to do anything neither, so why are you complaining about us? We can’t do anything about them!!
Here’s what i’d do: I would apologize for the hacking ,help them catch the hacker in action,and invite them to some 1v1’s in OS
Second of all, if BT lost those fights, that might have been because we had karmatrains, or we leveled up upscaled. It also probably was a pug commander with all the pugs on the server, it isn’t that good if you win a fight when it’s PugsvsGuild/organized group. But when it was GuildvsGuild, for example HARDvsJd, we defeated them easily. You can’t say that we suck just because you won against a pug-group who weren’t on TS, and probably had a lot of upscaled. The pugs are not our good players, that you have misunderstood, the guild groups are our good players.
I cant say anything about the 40v20 you lost against Fow (against Jd more like) but i can say this: You had twice they’r numbers…and you still lost
And that 20v8…there were maybe 3 uplevels the rest were ppl from HARD, Hi,BTA,
against 8, 1 of which was an uplevel so…lets say it was a 17v7…that’s still pretty bad considering we were also a pug group

I think the main reason we get this complaint, is that we are making their WvW boring, because they can’t cap anything. But that only means that we’re in your tier, when we should be in a tier up. Don’t blame us, blame the matchmakings, not us. We’re only in your tier, because we used to suck before, but now we’re good, but we got unlucky and we’re still in your tier, which sucks for both sides. Don’t blame us guys, blame Anet for not making us tier up. Peace.
UW was making Fow’s and BT’s WvW boring a month ago, and we too had 600+ ticks! But we didnt need hackers nor were we called hackers
All we had was dedicated players,amazing commanders and a community TS
But hey…what do i know! I havent logged on for a month now (stupid summer vacation)
