I think a better, more intuitive mechanic would be to make it so that all illusions retarget when you use an ambush attack.

Except that’s not what’s happening. Add in the fact that the information is coming out in the far corners of the GW2 community, it’s moronic. If you don’t consider this bad, then you guys need to smarten up. Announce it yourself, officially, so that it’s fair game for everyone. There are people jumping the gun on things on the live client and there have been since the start. You don’t have to tell me for me to know that. If it doesn’t come out of your mouths then it’s not being handled properly. Period. You’ve allowed people to destroy what was already a miserable economy.

I just think it’s art of either the square area in the bottom corner of Brisban that isn’t open or the outside of the portal into the new zone. Either we get the corner of Brisban and some story with a zone in 2 weeks or we get it all with a zone on Tuesday. All I know is if we don’t get a zone added into the game on Tuesday Anet deserves to be slapped upside the head for doing nothing the last 2 months.

Was clearing Dredgehaunt Cliffs and I came across this little huddle of people in the building next to the Travelen’s Waypoint in the northwest section of the map by the snowmen heart quest. I pretty much sat there and just watched people logging in and out and talking to the Weaponsmith NPC over and over again. I’m not sure if this is even a bug or an exploit but it seemed a little suspicious.

You people are out of your kittening minds. If you’re using Mantras on a Mesmer, you’re playing the class wrong. Mantras blow, they always have and they always will. I can’t believe the amount of people in here freaking out over a freakin’ MANTRA change. Do yourselves a favor, go with a 10/30/0/0/30 max DPS shatter build and thank me later.

There are two options that would make me at least consider Mantras, either remove them and take them from thought completely or make them like a stance the way they were in GW1. Until then, they’re useless.

I’ll just be waiting for an announcement about a new class(es)… Maybe in 2 years.

I find it hard to agree with your point because of how meaningless it is. So what, instead of signing into the game once and buying 3 minis you had to sign in 3 times and buy 3 minis?

The way I interpret it, “Available for x days only” means “this item is for sale for x days.” Nowhere did I see the word exclusive used. You didn’t open your eyes, you paid zero attention, and you bought a mini a second time. That’s your own fault and not a justifiable reason to come to the forums and cry foul against Anet.

Don’t be delusional. They reskinned the mining pick, changed the animation effect, made it work for plants, and threw it in the gem store. Shockingly, more laziness from Anet.

Finally settled on a look for my Mesmer.

The light Ascalonian Clergy Pants clip through the light Ascalonian Clergy Shoes. When my character’s knees bend the pants clip through the shoes (about the size of the kneecaps). This happens any time the knees bend; jumping, dancing, in combat, etc.

This problem is with a human, female, light armor character. I’d imagine this is also an issue with Sylvari and Norn.

You know, just when I thought Yak’s was starting to come back together a little bit I’m proven wrong. Gotta love when we have a Commander spying on another server’s Mumble. Yak’s is starting to hit a new low and I don’t like it. Makes me sad.

I think the toypocalypse pistol skills are a bit of a stretch. Fear wouldn’t be a terrible one to include though. I like the suggestion above to make some kind of illusionary fear. Maybe even a fear unique to the Mesmer similar to how Necros are getting a unique condition.

It may not be in the upcoming Southsun patch but don’t count June out.

I don’t think we’ll get a new weapon added in a regular patch but I’m positive we’ll get one in a future expansion. My hope is that said expansion is on its way but I think it would definitely spark the community a little bit if classes got a new weapon in a regular patch. Like aelska noted, with the Confusion nerf Scepter really took a major hit so it would be nice to have another MH option.

This thread is accomplishing the OP’s goal. For those of you who can’t figure it out, he’s simply saying that you don’t need to be a GS Zerker Warrior to do CoF. By you coming here and saying “Omg wtf still not faster than zerker warrior shut up” you make the point for the OP. I know it’s a difficult concept, but you can do CoF p1 without just pressing the #2 skill on your greatsword. Put the blinders down, accept that all classes can contribute to everything in this game, and move on.

So I just crafted Quip for my Mesmer and obviously it’s a little behind in the effect department. Since it’s an offhand it only affects one skill (#MesmerMHpistol) so I think it would be cool if it affected the Shatters, similar to how it affects some tool belt skills on the Engineer. Nothing would make my day better than to shatter all my clones in bursts of confetti and flowers.

Just got my precursor. All I gotta do now is knock out the t6 materials and Icy Runestones. Getting Quip for my Mesmer.

I think it would be cool if a feature was added where when someone on your server creates a Legendary it pops up in your chat box similar to GW1 when someone maxed a title. Just a small feature that would add a little more pizzaz to someone’s hard work.

ex. Flimsy Flamingo crafted Flameseeker Prophecies.

Pops up as a gold message in your chatbox. Server wide instead of world wide to prevent it being spammed as much as titles were in GW1 and create a sense of knowing the people within your server and building up your own “fame” so to speak.

Do you think the finale for Flame and Frost is going to have another chest with a high chance at precursors similar to the Karka Event? I for one am hoping so mainly due to the fact that I’d rather buy my precursor on the cheap than just buying it right this second. What do you guys think?

Then put a bank tab in the PvP locker for people to store extra pvp mats and whatnot. This logic is moronic. Instead of just putting the bank in the Heart of the Mists you’ll make people go through Heart of the Mists to get to LA to use the bank for free anyway. But kitten if that person wants to go back to where they were they’re gonna have to pay a couple silver for that waypoint because you gotta have nonsensical gold sinks all over the place… As if people aren’t spending their gold anyway. Either people are constantly spending their gold and being basically unaffected by waypoint costs or are power trading and amassing an absurd amount of gold.

Double Shot:[½ second] Two quick shots at the target(Both pistols if two pistols are used).
Followed by
Aimed Shot:[½ second] An aimed shot at the target, causes 1 stack of Confusion for 1 second.

Skill 2
Illusive Acrobatics:[10 second cooldown] Mirror Images effect. Jumps/rolls to the left or right summoning a clone that jumps/rolls in the opposite side. Clone causes 1 stack of confusion on attacks.

Skill 3
Chaotic Barrage:[15 second cooldown] Phantasmal Duelist type attack using both pistols if two are used. Attacks target repeatedly causing 1 stack of cofusion with every attack.

Just an idea for condition type weapon using mesmers favourite condition. :p

I think this would be working towards the right direction. The third skill would be a clone though otherwise you would have 2 phantasms on a weapon set. Other than that you’d just wanna change up the conditions, maybe throw a bleed in there.

Scepter does more damage in a power build than a condi one, significantly more damage actually. Hard to consider staff as a real condi weapon and Torch is,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Torch, bad for everything. I’d take a condi based MH pistol over a power one any day

Can you describe why you think they aren’t condition weapons? Scepter still needs to be reworked, that’s already a fact. But how can you say that about Torch? Both skills do conditions. And how can you say Staff doesn’t do conditions? It’s entirely based around conditions.

Why does the pistol then have to be a condition weapon if it’s mainhand? MH Dagger is also a viable option that could be extended to the Mesmer as well as new weapons that could be introduced in the future. A pistol isn’t a condition weapon, it’s a power weapon. You could do a mix and put bleeds on the #1 skill like was previously suggested, for example.

I just don’t think that making MH pistol a dedicated condition weapon is the best idea. I’m sorry, but every class can’t do every build. This whole conversation just feels like a “well a necro can do a ton of conditions so why can’t a Mesmer” kind of thing. If Mesmers get mainhand pistol, it would come with other weapons that have other options. Also keep in mind that, with traits, you can build a power build that does significant condition damage. That’s where I believe the Mesmer is at when it comes to condition builds.

You want ANOTHER power weapon?? GS is power, torch is better with power, scepter is better with power, focus is power, pistol is good for both power/condi, staff is meh condi/defensive, sword is power… i think we have enough power weps… Then again, imagine if every weapon skill had a choice of 3-5 skills and you could run a MH pistol for power or condi, but nooo, we can’t change anything and have to run crappy presets.

Torch is condition
Scepter is condition
Staff is the most powerful condition weapon Mesmers have

If Whips are added that’ll be another condition/cc weapon. Mesmers have plenty of options when it comes to conditions especially with iWarlock. You also have to remember Mesmers aren’t Necros or Engineers; they don’t have the super Godly condition builds available to them and they won’t.

As for have more options for each weapon, that’s an option that’s inevitable. It’s an option everyone wants and it would add to the diversity of the game but it won’t happen for a while. Eventually it will, but for now no. Pistol MH would be a power weapon.

I’ll agree that it should be power based as opposed to conditions. Having stun on the mainhand would be a bit OP with a double stun available. I can see auto attack doing 1s of Vulnerability and maybe the #3 skill being a bouncing attack while #2 skill would create a clone that could maybe do some type of boon to allies in the area.

Best Legendary in the game.

It can be rather annoying but I’ve learned to deal with it. However… if I see a chest on the ground instead of a loot bag watch out because I’m on a mission.

I’m requesting that Maguuma’s server be renamed to Pride Lands. The only time I’ve seen Maguuma in WvW is in one, big, giant, absurdly sized zerg that I swear everyone on their server is in. You find out where the zerg is, you go to the opposite side of the map, and then all of a sudden the stampede from The Lion King comes pouring over the hills and there’s nothing you can do because you evaporate and die faster than Mufasa. I feel like Simba every time I look up a hill or tower.

tldr; Maguuma is the stampede from The Lion King.

Because he couldn’t beat hard mode and since he’s so mad he won’t let us in.

Yeah, we removed the minimap for a reason. There are several factors that make 8 and 16 bit games feel the way they do. One of them is forcing the player to really learn their environment.
