someone is going to try to kill you in wvw. go out their by yourself and see. In tier1, it might be a large number of players ready to kill you;
solo roaming. lol
how, how, are we supposed to come up with that much stuff?? without just go to credit card.
people who can figure it out gravitated to the top tiers quickly. the rest faded.
I’m sure the coin that the T1 servers put on buying coverage helped on lower tiers fading and everyone stacking on top.
blah about buying. I swear. I paid far more on my ascended gear for my main than I will admit.
people who want to play wvw gravitated to the top tiers. Same with the rest of the game, people who what to harvest pve benefits gravitate.
Interesting is, wvw is interesting. why are people doing this?
let ’s bomb the fing flip out of them.
I like big fights. I like big zergs.
T1 has big zerg fights. A lot of us actually like that. Our computers don’t lag that much, and the big fights are fun.
hello, 11111111111111111
The best way to refine your build in wvw at the top tiers is to ask in map chat. Join a guild who will advise you.
getting killed is a fine skill in wvw. You find the enemy by standing in their way, camps, and getting killed by them. You have about 4 min to tell your crew where they went.
game is more fun if you can win.
I would not insult militia. I would ask them to pay attention to the overall game plan of their server.
wvw is social.
On tier one, the cause and effect of the clog may be more obvious. Where are these people when we need them, instead of when we clearly do not need them?
I pay around 25$ a month to play wvw
at risk of overposting, clear the air right away about making any loot in wvw. We pay to play wvw,
clear the queues damage a server’s power. If you have stupid guilds and others clogging your queue, your server will suffer. Obviously.
really hard not to say reset queues are stupid. Why do some of these people disrupt wvw on Friday night,
not saying it’s stupid. That might be offensive.
wvw teams are usually well organized. Being stuck in a queue of 100+ while your guild is in an important operation is not optimal.
more players is better.
not saying ANet overestimated their audience.
people who can figure it out gravitated to the top tiers quickly. the rest faded.
meh. wvw is complicated, most people are not up for a complex intelligent game, is all.
why do all of these guilds and personalities we never see otherwise come pouring out and clogging the system on reset? I don’t get it.
It costs quite a bit to have top quality players. Anyone who has a full ascended player knows that. Takes a lot of time and time.
lets just play the game.
If you test this you will see it really doesn’t take a scout in every tower. It only takes a few players willing to kill some time and get killed in the process moving between towers and camps.
Many of us have already been doing this, keeping track of upgrades on ours and the enemies’ stuff. It’s the same idea, simply more diligent and prepared to die.
thanks for the video
You shouldn’t be standing in a tower to scout in place of white swords. You should be moving between towers and camps, out in the open, where you can see as far as possible.
A zerg will often move to a camp before moving to a tower or other objective. Stand out there in the camp. You will be the first to know when they show up. When they kill you, you get 4 minutes to report their direction before you are forced to respawn.
When you get sick of volunteering for suicide duty, you can always run off with your own zerg when they come through.
I have a feeling ANet is trying to appeal to new users, even at the expense of the existing user base.
T1 servers have been playing against one another for a long time. We don’t hate each other. We love the game.
3 or 4 arrowcarts build and scouted and manned by a squish ele housewife. scare you? LOL
see upthread someone is afraid of arrow carts. That always just cracks me up.
My best character is specifically tuned for zerg fights. I guess my computer may be, to an extent.
People complain about lag I don’t notice.
seems fun to me. I like zerg fights.
It’s just fun. One of the best scenes I have viewed in GW2 recently was a sunset fight at Ogrewatch between TC and JQ, who was in OL. I showed up late, ran from SMC and watched TC just take down the T3 gate and run in. JQ came around the corner right behind them in the gate, and I thought, oh no, they outnumber.
But instead of running up to the lords room, our commander ran up the stairs and jumped off the wall onto JQ’s butt. Totally confused them, think their driver must have gone down or something.
Great show.
I like zergs, I’m sorry. I just like the way they move.
My computer doesn’t lag much, so my view is prob better than average. It can be amazing as a ranged player, I get a great view of the action sometimes.
one reason I am not support of major changes to the map. The zerg movement is really intricate.
I’m sure all of us know about choke points and high ground where they jump down on you or portal bomb you by now.
ANet said they keep statistics on everything, every keystroke of every player. Everything in your backpack. Every time of day you log on or don’t.
Somewhere in that data, someone decided it was a good idea to turn off the white swords.
Who knows? Real empirical data can give weird results.
players in WvW follow the commanders.
Learn from them too, if they are any good.
QQ about siege. I like that. I will I will ac you.
No ego boost in the world for a squish ele like a commander running away from my acs. RUN.
ha, it is funny. I have deleted at least 30 of these things
yeah, I will keep playing. I got lucky by choosing Tarnished Coast when the game was released. I have played enough to have a few well developed characters. The game is fun and interesting for me. I realize it isn’t for a lot of other people. Hope I can share a few of the things that make it fun for me that maybe someone else can use.
I think the addition of colored tags might slow the movement of guilds to lower tiers from T1. When the tags were one color, commanders would compete. Now they coordinate. You can have up to four fairly ego centric commanders cooperating on a map instead of glaring at each other.
it’s commenting out a line of code, is my guess.
I’m pretty sure it is easy to turn the white swords on and off.
It helps to scout the camps. A lot of times a group or zerg will hit nearby camp before they head for a structure. You can usually keep an eye on a couple of structures from a supply camp also.
We lose the embarrassment.
