I used to be alright, but I don’t really play the game anymore, Just jumped over here to have a look at the new patch notes to see if there was anything interesting in there.

I use soldier armour + travellers runes with berserker weapons and trinkets on the occasion I want to roam, using 2/1/6/1/2

Run a -repair and see if your dat is corrupted, also give your laptop a good cleaning, and make sure there is no spyware/malware or anything else on your laptop.

For gw2? pick the Intel every time.

Candied dragon rolls, 3-4s each, +70 precision and 66% chance to steal life on crit, the best poor mans food!

GUYS its intended this is the new super hardcore unpuggable stuff we all wanted!, we are also supposed to waste time in that new living story to get our new TOUGHNESS+HEALZ+VITALITIEZ armour as ANet wants us to all be super support tankers!

Really though, I am not looking forward to the fight and its probably un-intended as it sounds like its breaking fractals for PUG groups.

This game is badly designed, damage > everything else.

Also, I provide just as much support as a useless ‘cleric healinguard’ in full berserker gear, I also do wayyyyyy more damage, ending encounters faster, reducing the chance of a wipe.

Seriously, all your support comes from blinds, blocks, reflects, cleanses, protection, all of which you get in a meta DPS build.

Wait, what was wrong with it before? these last 5+ months I haven’t noticed anything off with trin at 50 compared to 40’s and sub.

I take it now trin is a super pain in the kitten with extreme damage?

I use shelter pretty much everywhere except for a few situations where I cannot block the attacks (certain bosses) so I take the signet just for a larger heal then.

I liked it more then the first, for the most part, it was enjoyable to watch.

The music wasn’t to my taste but that’s pretty irrelevant, and the fight against the PU Mesmer and dd ele dragged on a bit near the end there.

I’d suggest you make your chat box smaller in the corner its clogging up quite a bit of the screen, then cover it up while you are editing the video, perhaps a small symbol or logo so the chat cannot be read and such.

What program/s are you using for the editing? are you able to go into the render settings and change it up? you can get much higher qualities for a 720p video (I find that a mp4 h.264 with a multipass CBR given around 30mb/s bitrate with a high profile 5.1 level gives an almost crystal clear 720p from a 720p recording (file size around 2g for 10 minutes) given a good source recording, such as fraps footage), as long as you don’t mind taking a bit longer to render and having a larger file to upload.

I would recommend taking judges intervention, the fury, heal and 1,200 distance closing as well as a stunbreak is much better then save yourselves which gives 10 seconds of some boons on a very long cooldown, but that’s just personal preference, tbh I don’t really like playing with shouts in a meditation build.

I haven’t really done many fractals since the update, but I have recorded the few I have done:

13 fractal 50’s, 2 weapon (rampager and wupwup) and 1 armour chest (malicious boots) and no skins.

8 fractal 40’s, no weapon chests, no armour chests, 1 skin (hammer)

At least half of those fractals gave no rewards, and the remaining being uninfused/infused rings (uninfused taking the majority) (all of which had useless stats anyway)

I don’t think they improved the drop rate, rather they just fixed the bugged rate of weapons (which was, if I can recall, around 1%)

Still not worth running fractals.

I think dungeons and instances in general have a lot worse performance then open-world content, I have experienced the same performance drop, go figure.

I’d like to see them have at least 10k health each, 50% immunity to AOE and Condition damage and not be destroyed when commanded as a baseline, then I may consider using them.

Don’t include fights you loose, Don’t include fights against upscales if you can help it, you have a huge gap without music might want to look at syncing the audio better, and I wouldn’t include the fights against the staff guardians and zerglings that got lost ^^

For PvE?

Either grab full berserker, or knights armour + berserker trinkets/weapons if you don’t think you could do well with full berserker. Use Scholar/strength runes if you can afford them, if not I heard that flame legion can be used as a very cheep alternative.

You really need multiple sets of armour if you plan on WvW’ing a well as PvE’ing, a set of soldiers would do well for WvW especially if you plan on zerging.

re-confirming, once again, they have no idea how to balance this game and have no understanding of the class.

I don’t know, I found a 20fps performance increase earlier today updating from 335.23 to 337.88 NVidia drivers, I am guessing that was the cause of the performance increase.

I’m not sure, an hour ago I updated from 335.23 to 337.88 and I went from 30-40 fps to 50-60 fps ingame at the same settings, I think that update helped out but I don’t think it was on gw2’s end for the performance increase.

Hell, I can now put the game on high/ultra (previously at around mid) and still get 40 fps, this is lovely, haha

Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations of what to salvage with BL kits to make a bit of profit, as I currently have quite a few stacks thanks to farming keys and they are taking up too much bank space,

I also had a terrible start (30 chests for 1 scrap) but it has seemed to even out to around the 20% its supposed to be, RNG is RNG, keep at it if you enjoy it, personally, I like trying to get better times (my best is about 15 minutes 40 seconds solo)

Yeah, over all now I have opened 68 chests, received 13 scraps and 1 ticket (its averaging out about 20%, rng really is just rng, I was having a pretty bad start). I run the keys for fun not really trying to get anything in particular out of them, but I measure in scraps because other then tickets and a very small chance at a contract, the scraps are what makes up the bulk of the money you make in the end, excluding untradeable’s which, while some might be nice, I don’t place much value on.

Hmm, drop back the NVidia drivers to 335, they are pretty stable, run through some programs like malwarebytes/antivirus and make sure your computer isn’t full of any crap, try a -repair and make sure that gw2 hasn’t been corrupted (unlikely but worth a check), pull the laptop apart and give it a good clean (particularly the heatsink and fan), maybe replace the thermal gel if need be.

Mostlikely, though, its just NVidia’s latest drivers being buggy like usual, you generally shouldn’t update them much at all, just find a stable version and stick with it (I have 335.23)

The build linked is pretty much useless for PvE, as for WvW, roaming it would be pretty bad but it might be semi-ok for mindless zerging, and even then there are better options ^^

Update: another 10 chests opened, I received 1 scrap (and nothing worth anything) making it 2 scraps to 40 chests~ my ratio has slightly improved!

Update 2: another 10 chests, received 3 scraps, making it 5 for 50, or 10% chance.

Ah, I was just farming keys because I was pretty bored, not really trying to get anything in particular, but receiving 1 scrap out of 30 chests just didn’t seem right to me ^^

As lovely as that looks, doesn’t it give you a bit of a headache shaking your head from side to side all the time to read the chat/check your map/notifications?

Perhaps its not your drivers or hardware that’s the problem, perhaps its gw2 itself, try running a repair or just redownload/install It fresh, it may solve your problems.

Rabid with dire trinket mix would probably be best for condi Mesmer these days, while using full berserker usually works pretty well for any phantasm/shatter/powerPU build.

Just curious as to what the rate for scraps is, as I just opened 30 chests and received 1 scrap (and nothing else worth anything, mind you)

I heard it was like a 33% chance from some guildies, looks more like a 3% chance for me…. yay I look forward to opening another 290 chests to get enough for 1 ticket.

Did they break the ratios or am I just having stupid rng?

Camped rifle the entire time (heal food, pvt gear (99% sure of this) , condition damage rifle) would not even take 1 banner, just used all signets, they also had no ar and died all over the place, (actually, 3 people in the party had no ar and kept dying, a staff guardian and sceptre ele who wouldn’t stack might and spent most of the time autoattacking in fire……)

Needless to say, 99% of the time, pugs make me cry.

You shouldn’t have any trouble on high and probably ultra, cities will still dip and WvW will eat your computer, so you should still down some of the settings.

Assuming you haven’t actually got these yet, have you thought about getting a k/aftermarket cooling and overclocking? (i.e. i5-4690k or perhaps an i7-4790k if your budget allows) it defiantly helps in WvW and crowded places/events giving you that extra thump.
