Just something that I have come across recently, I have had numerous (about 6) thieves using perplexity runes and applying the 6th bonus (5 stacks on interrupt) without actually interrupting anything (I was standing still, not using any skills/utilities)

Is there something else that I am unaware of that applies 5 stacks of confusion (they were mostly pistol mainhand dagger offhand) for approximately 10ish seconds (all stacks at the same time)?

Any help would be appreciated~

The ’I’m buying’ tab shows up as empty when I know for a fact I have several hundred gold worth of offers in there.

I am also unable to sell anything, the page just comes up blank.

Kinda annoying.

MoC is useful if you are using concentrations, but why the hell would you be using concentrations in a meditation dps build?

I take UC because all the other traits in the slot are worthless for me, go figure.

Well engineers are not typically useful in fractals and I would take other classes 100% of the time.

I would level the ranger, I actually find them kinda fun to play (I also just ignore the pet completely, lol)

Are you talking about the summoned pets from the runes? I’m not sure really, but I do know the birds (from privateer runes) scale to our pets health/damage ^^

As to the OP’s question “buy eternity now & bind it”

If you bound that eternity to your account, you would unlock twilight and sunrise skins as well.

I have done this and can confirm that, once you bind eternity, you unlock the eternity skin, twilight skin and sunrise skin.

As it happens, you also unlock the skin for dusk/dawn, but they are named Naegling/khrysaor.

P.S (If you just want twilight/sunrise skins and save some money, buy/make both twilight and sunrise and bind them to your account (costs about 5k gold ish), craft eternity and sell the eternity, you keep the twilight/sunrise skin unlocks and receive roughly 3.2k gold returned to you giving you the skins for about 900g each~)

Well, it can help, I always prefer to have a copyright disclaimer and the bits and pieces of outside sources at the end of the video. Sometimes the studio etc (Looking at you UMG) still tries to claim copyright kitten and rejects disputes anyway (why I took down and re-did the first video) but most of the time, if you acknowledge any other material you use, you should be fine.

Hmm, I really don’t see too many other rangers on SoS and Jq while I play, a few every now and then but its mostly thieves and warriors ^^

Yep, its all about the gem store and making you buy gems, its quite sad actually.

Yeah, I have considered more toughness etc, but its just not for me, I quite enjoy being so glassy, haha. I will be sure to try out heal as one next time and see how that works out.

I don’t exactly cut my video up, there just wasn’t anything recorded between the fights. While I have fraps running, I tend to loose 10-15 fps and it kinds lags me up, not to mention my sessions can last 5-6 hours on occasion when I get into it, I don’t have the HDD space to store it. (also finding each of the short fights within a 5 hour video is too much of a pain) I just toggle fraps on before I get into a fight and toggle it off after the fight has ended, then fade the video in/out where I feel appropriate.

Hmm, Mostly one sided to which side? they were pretty even-ish for the most part (that 1v2 with the ele/thief, my bear would have pro-ressed me and I would have won that fight even without those thieves ressing me =p) but yeah, finding 1v1-3ish is a bit hard when everybody blobs around and everybody interferes, heh.

Yep condies make me cry, I don’t see that changing anytime soon, hell I actually win some of them (That thief with the grenth mask, and also that thief with the sunglasses were both condi ^^) so yeah.

Become a pirate, get yourself a copy of fraps YARR~ (Its what I use and believe is pretty much the best from what I have tried)

You will get the bonus damage for one attack after interrupting someone, and you also gain 100% duration to dazes/stuns. I haven’t exactly used it before but that’s how I assume it works.

You wont have any dps anyway, just put the points in honor/virtues and bunker up a bit more ^^ take pure of voice instead of battle presence if you insist on using shouts, perhaps pick up some trooper runes, swap out some clerics for soliders, about all I can think of for that particular build.

Was your aim WvW zerging/roaming or PvE/PvP?

So basically, same computer, same settings, same everything.

One week ago, in WvW I was comfortably sitting at 40+ FPS when just running around, and 20-30 while fighting.

These last few days, I have barely been able to get 25 FPS and this drops down to 10-12 while fighting.

My settings are near-lowest.

Nothing has changed on my end, has their ‘optimization’ gone down the sink again?

This is on all the maps, ebg/boarderlands/EotM/sanctum. There has been no change in PvE as far as I can tell.

Hmm, just a few things for the video itself, its worth getting familiar with some good editing programs (After effects, sony vegas pro, etc,etc) and make yourself a nice intro and ending, just comes across a bit nicer and is useful if you plan on making more videos in the future.

Also, id recommend covering the chat box, a simple picture of maybe your character/logo/name etc works fine, lets face it, nobody wants to read your chat and I’m sure there are people who would rather their names/what they say appear.

I can’t really give you any tips on your playing, I haven’t played thief in quite a while~

With the filters in this game you’d expect the population to be a bunch of crybaby 12yearolds who find everything and anything offensive to them.

On a side note, they really need to stop banning people for ‘offensive language’ that’s what the flipping filter is there for……….

Someone did that math somewhere, I cant recall right now but It was something like;

If you can keep the scholar bonus around 50% of the time, they are better then strength.

Id probably recommend strength if you are picking back up again~

Your “Antagonists” came here to tell you, in no small terms, mantra builds are sub-par everywhere, having no stun breaks is bad, and it is, in no way, worth using your build over others.

Sure, I would love to see mantra’s be viable, but that is not the case, this is fact, you cannot change that.

As I just said, it is a fact that mantras are subpar. This has been proven so many times over the last year. You say that people can’t/won’t accept when someone disagrees with them about mantra’s? You are doing exactly that it seems to be that you refuse to accept the fact that your build is sub-par, mantras are pretty bad, and that the majority of Mesmer’s here replying to you agree with that.

Edit: I get the feeling this thread will be locked soon, then again, I doubt there are any Devs anywhere near the Mesmer forums ^^

Well it doesn’t do too badly for a 1v1 if you can get the jump on someone at range, conditions are a problem =p a smaller group is alright if you can hang back and not get focused. Really though its more of a build for a bit of fun, nothing too serious.

Won’t change anything. A smaller character is usually better as it makes it harder for enemies to tell what skills you are using. Just go with whatever race/size you like best.

I use sword/sword + greatsword, blood/fire sigils, berserker stats for everything, traveller runes, 20/20/0/0/30 spec when running shatter.

Heya there guys, Welcome to my Ranger Roaming thread, where I will post all of the videos I take of me roaming with a ranger.

The first video was fairly bad and I was playing terribly as I had just dusted off my ranger and really couldn’t remember too much, but I still had fun!

The second video is a lot better, I’m playing better and the fights are better, I hope you guys enjoy!~

I had a tonn of fun while recording these, longbow ranger is defiantly my favourite for WvW right now (well, until some condition class jumps my kitten and I die =p (Actually, that happens quite a bit, haha))

I would have liked to see them account bound on creation, precursors given a scavenger hunt or some adventure-crafting to get, a nice cutscene/music/discopartyaroundtheforge would also be good when they are forged. ( as long as I get to go to the forge and make It happen for me too even though I already have mine)

Meditation Guardian

I shield of wrath – JI to you while casting binding blade, wrath pops and you loose 10k health and are knocked down at my feet. I then proceed to 10k+whirlingwrath/smite condition you. You die.

Lets not forget rangers!

I stand 1500 distance from you and rapid fire you for 15k before you get in range then autoattack you for 4-5k until you die.

Make sceptre 1 like 100% faster or like 20% faster and home-in on targets ^^
