Perhaps a suggestion? (I know, I know, speghetti-code and all…. but I just want to plant this seed.) Can you add a 5 or 15 minute event-fail to the tigers? This might be easier to implement than your guys’ “fix” and would let us reset these while you work on your Soon™ fix. … because as it stands now, between the bugs and the trolls, it’s blocking progress in all ways.

And now that players have learned the events wont reset if people don’t leave, they are camping them…. Anet… please.

Impossible is an understatement… its about as effective as asking people to…. stop breathing for 2 days.

ELITE SPEC UNLOCKING BUG (Acheivement Bug?)

The acheivement for “begin unlocking X elite spec” will not pop if you train while in the Mists.
Recreated on Reaper and Druid – screenshot (http://screencast.com/t/vQzzHdB2V) notice, I’m weilding greatsword [see skillbar] and have reaper heal on [skill 6], yet the acheivement is shown as not completed. The chest didn’t spawn above the minimap, and I didn’t get the weapons and other drops from it. Subsequently travelling to a PvE area afterwards does not trigger the reward, although I wasn’t able to test if training again will pop it ((will need to grind more points)).

Someone did the math and its…. well, it’s straight up appauling…. Here is their direct quote > "The short of it is you get 5 blooms for 1-9, 10 blooms for 10-19, and 15 for 20-Infinity. If you haven’t done that map for that day, you also get a 20 bloom bonus chest.
The event lasts for 30 minutes on each map, with a 30 minute break between each map. So in 2.5 (4 if you look at the whole map rotation), you can get a max of 105 blooms.
In terms of event rewards, that’s 1 random mini and a Bag of Rare gear. …For 1.5 hours of actively playing and 1 hour of waiting around.
If you plan to grind more, the rate drops of dramatically since you don’t get the +20 chest any more; for every set of map rotations, you’ll only get +60 blooms.
Of the course of the 4 days, if you take advantage of all of the daily bonuses, without additional grinding, you’ll have a total of 420 blooms. It takes 450 to get one of the potions or to get a “set” of the Gloves/Shoulders. Even if you do something perfectly (2.5 hours a day for 4 days), you’ll be 30 blooms short and have to grind for 2 more hours.
It might not be so bad if there was some other reward, but you get no items, money, or XP for completing the event. Just blooms and one of two chests to either help you make Mawdrey or the Spinal Blades backpack.
Also, as a point of some silliness… Even if you play in EVERY EVENT for the 4 days, you’ll only have a max of 1320 blooms. (15 per map every 4 hours. 24 hour days with a +20 bonus chest. 45*(24/4)20 = 330 blooms each day for 4 days.) That is 96 hours of “playing” (it’s mostly waiting, actually). <<

TOPIC: TOWNCLOTHES BEHAVIOR CHANGES
Please put townclothes back to 5 seperate items, not sets, and dyeable, like they used to be. Now it is no longer possible to wear the default townclothes and celebration hat… or santa hat plus winterday clothing… or earmuffs and wintersday clothing…. or executioners outfit and phantom hood…. this has broken the townclothes experience for a lot of players… leave them skin-unlockable, and able to apply the skin to either Fighting-Gear or Townclothes Slots, and let the townclothes slots be able to be worn during combat…
Essentially, change the OUTFITS section, into a similar box for each armor-slot, allowing us to pick and choose which townclothes skin we want there, and be able to individually checkmark whether or not to display that set of townclothes…
This will make lots of people happy.
As it stands now, it kinda feels like the townclothes system has been made a sham and a mockery, and its only been a few hours and while everyone loves the feature pack update and all the changes, there has been one complaint that everyone has been sharing about it and its the townclothes system. This complaint has been quite resounding.

should have unlocked in the wardrobe. might take a few logins to do so. if you transmuted them too much tho you may have overwritten the items, but even transmuted items should give you the A)Base Item, and the new look of the item as you Transmuted it.

When you are guesting, you cannot use the Transfer Button to go into the main, since players Native to that server have priority for the main. Server Guests are low priority. The best way to get onto a guested main is to follow these steps. 1) Party with someone who is ON the main server you are trying to go there. 2) Waypoint onto a waypoint on an adjacent map near a zone point. 3) Walk through the zone point to join your party on the main.

TL;DR – cant “Transfer” to main maps when you are guesting.

Last year, most users who didn’t get bugged on Tixx Box, ended up with 200 cogs… Recipes for the toys require 50 cogs… Can we get an NPC next to Tixx that sells spare cogs for a reasonable price, (I’d say 1 silver per cog is reasonable. 2.5 silver is pusshing it. 5silver is too much). This would let us use the frames and cogs we are sitting on, (otherwise it’s just right-click destroy). Don’t allow the frames to be purchased, just the spare cogs. (this allows us to finish what we have parts for, but no more.)
Dialog something like “We’ve had reports from customer service that there is a demand for spare cogs, for a limited time, we’re offering our spare cogs to the public to fix their broken toys.” I’m sure it wouldnt be that hard to make. Could be a golem npc thats in use in the Infinarium, etc.

+1 and seconded. I agree, we should be able to tie this armor in with our existing dye scheme. Leave the glow alone, but allow us to dye the underlying armor.

That is besides the point. It also offers an 18-slot box and 10 boosters.
The fact is, its a reward that is not offered to everyone that meets the listed requirements for it.

unfortunately i’d say your SOL at this time for that. you have 5 toon slots, surely you have a medium armor toon you can throw them on. get 3k AP and use the Hellforged arms for your heavy if you really want fiery arms

I use the Location portion of the roster to see if they have been inactive. Once it’s displaying “unknown” i determine it to be too long and they are kicked. If it still says a server or zone location they are still actively logging in.

yup. would destroy the economy. gift them gems, they make that into gold for tradepost skins or use the gems to purchase the armor skins in the gemstore outright. Unbounding an item would be an epic disaster as it would be exploited like crazy…
Having said that, I’m not apposed to the ability to change Soulbound to Accountbound, but even that would be exploited but would not be profitable.

@OP, the choices does matter for humans as it decerns what types of story mission you have available to you. But good idea!

First off, let me just say that you guys do an awesome job there.

Having said that, I would offer the following piece of advice:

Trying to keep in mind that you shouldn’t alienate your long-term loyal players while trying to market and promote your product to garnish new players.
Offering exclusive rewards that do not apply to the entire player base that meets the requirements is a good way to do just that.
Might I suggest keeping the exclusive rewards to particular reasonable optional repeatable actions that can be taken (example, free mini for those who purchase gems during a particular period), and keeping rewards for one-time actions (such as upgrading your account or buying a particular tier of account) global for all who have that tier (as you wouldn’t expect players to purchase multiple accounts just for the one reward).
Marketing items like free weekend trials once a year or so instead would accomplish the same marketing goals without alienating your existing playerbase. Just a tidbit of advice.

(where this is coming from: Heroic Chests are not being offered to players who have the Heroic and Digital Deluxe versions of the game unless those versions were purchased at a certain time. However they are shown as global rewards for all players who have those Tiers of the game as shown here .)

you only get the acheivement for FIRST place (7-token) wins

Two 1st place win’s with bet’s, Tokens rewarded, ingame mail received confirming 1st place win. Achievement will not count either win.

There really ought to be a more visual indicator like a beam of light, or make the text permanently visable without needing to hold control.

Note: This will cause some of your graphics settings to revert. But no trouble to go in and fix them up.

Disable the hotkeys for it, just let it act as if it’s a second/third monitor by mouse-over… you’ll be hitting CTRL alot during gaming and “CTRL-CTRL-CTRL” is a hotkey for “control all PCs” which makes all your keystrokes/mouse movement mimic on all your PCs

press F whether you see the prompt or not, and you will loot the corpes and the sparkles disappear

I cannot reproduce this issue, I have tried for the last 30 minutes in differnt settings fullscreen, windowed, on an alternate monitor.. each time i tested my mouse came back to within 1cm of where i originally click-dragged from.

But on the otherhand, the cursor is terribly easy to lose in the fray of battle.

Everything in this game is a shade of brown from light sand to dark caramel. EVERYTHING.

ANet, fix your bugs, and stop nerfing events that behave exactly the way you designed them to. 80% of the events in Orr now drop Zero Loot because you guys are nerf-happy. How about implementing a timer for these types of events. After say, 30 minutes or so, then have the “no loot” kick in. This way, the events are still worth doing, but worth actually doing. As it stands now, they are not worth even thinking about.

And Nobody is paying 2 silver to waypoint to an event that will yeald them no loot.

Come on now, stop being idiotic and making your player-base pay for things you didn’t have the foresight to assume would happen when you designed the event this way.

Yeah, the mobs now drop no loot. Such a shame. Give Anet 3 more months and there won’t be any loot in any Orr maps at all.

Doesn’t matter, Putrid Essence should not be taking my “rare” roll.

When you kill a mob, you roll many times
• Whether you will get any loot.
• Type of loot you will get
• Rarity of loot you will get
• Item you actually get
• Attachment to the loot you will get.

Which finally ends up with a “sparkling mob” or a “Wooden/steel chest”.

After all of this rolling, a “wooden chest” should not contain a crafting material.

Special Mini’s don’t

Please, remove the Rare tags from Mats such as Putrid Essence and the like. There is no reason Mats should be anything over “Masterwork” level (except mists essence, cores/lodestone pieces, and ecto’s since those really ARE rare and can only be obtained in certain places.). The worst part about doing things with your DR and continuously nerfed events, is to finally have a wooden chest drop, only to find it contains a stupid putrid essence.

Why are these mats, taking place of my Rare Loot roll? When your RNG is stupidly broken already and 400%+ magicfind doesn’t help anything much, you just roll the same bad loot.

When a chest finally does drop, it should contain a REAL Rare Item, not one of these mats.

If Southsun cove has taught us anything, it’s that MagicFind gear is absolutely and totally worthless. If there is no difference when running around slaying veteran karka’s all day with 400% magicfind, then there is no reason to give up a stat to strive for the 185% you can normally get anywhere else. What are your thoughts on the matter?
