generally if the account was not terminated for the -user- fault (and in this case the fraud is from the seller site, not the user), arenanet has no problem at you adding another serial to your account.
obviously they wont let you play without buying another account, after all -they- have not been paid for the account you are using, the fraudolent site has basically stole the money you gave them.

If they are depending on legitimate income for their work, why are they not doing more to stop people from stealing it?

I don’t buy this excuse my friend. I rather buy from Arena Net to support the game. Hard to look past the 75% cost reduction for going around them though. I also have a hard time supporting someone who doesn’t care to take care of themselves.

So still I pose the question.. What is going to be done about the economy?

do you really think there’s a way to completely stop a crime?
they can curb it, keep it at bay at best they can, but there’s just no way to stop it, there always be criminals in this world.

Minion Build: Amazing in solo PVE

I’m a pure MM necro ( their skills and traits )
Many players complain that minions are weak and bugged, however I see them powerful.
80% of necros say that well master is better than minion master , while I see the opposite.
My minions ( they die rarely thanks to Mark of Blood ) have saved my life too many times as I rarely die even in dungeons.
I’m level 60 necro with 16.5k HP( rarely to drop to 10K , thanks to my undead army XD ) and a lot of toughness .

as other have pointed out, the biggest problem with mm necros is that minions wont scale with gear – so yeah, at lvl 60 with mostly blue and some green equipment you’ll feel a lot more powerfull with mm builds than power or condition builds, once you get at 80 and start actually gearing yourself your minions will fall behind farther and farther.

think about this: death shroud 4 is basically an heal so it should be moved to “6” button.
regular actions are buttons 1-5 so we would have 2 buttons free, more than enough for a lot of customization-by-weapon without changing 1-3 in any way, button 4 for main hand, button 5 for off hand or 2handed.

Beyond selling blue crafting materials (and even those are getting crushed by BOTs) there isnt really anything you can sell on the TP that you cant vendor for the same or better due to fees and ‘taxes’.

The 15 Gold I make per day (on average) purely from buying/selling both mats and finished goods via the TP beg to differ.

I’m confident bots will get handled eventually (there are about two dozen almost-naked bots in frostgorge – directly south of the trading post near yakington’s toil waypoint right now) – I wish there were some way to report a location where they are massing, as opposed to having to report individual bots. They are massed so tightly there, I can’t tell which ones I’ve reported, etc.

At any rate – there are only so many markets the bots can truly impact – mostly low-level stuff. It’s a downside, to be sure, but there are thousands of items on the market, and all it takes is a willingness to do a little homework to turn a profit.

lets not forget that AH too is bottable, there’s a lot more money into automatizing the buying low – selling high than from foraging in the field.

the problem with axe is that, as a straight power damage dealer is in competition with dagger.
dagger has all its limitations from melee range so if axe dealt similar dps it would make dagger completely obsolete.
so the solution is to adjust extra effects, not dps – axe is in dire need of something else than just vuln in skill 1 and something at all in skill 2 (I would love some defensive boon as we dont have any reliable ones thus making dagger our all-out balls-to-the-wall burst damager and axe the tanky weapon, but that’s just my personal preference).

3 huge problems with crafting and selling on ah:
1) you drop craptons of blue and green stuff, people just dont need to buy anything before 80 because they will drop stuff “just good enough” ten times more what they need.
this causes a basic deflation as what people dont need has no worth.

2) crafting is just too good a source of xp, most people dont craft to gain gold or even just to equip themselves but as a fast leveling route, people which wont even try to fight for a gain when selling what they have crafted, just selling at minimum asking price.
the discovery mechanic compound this problem even more as it will assure that people to gain exp will craft an even spread of every possible combination of items (instead of lazily just stick crafting the easiest one until it will give no exp anymore as they would have done with most crafting systems) and then dump them on ah at minimum price so basically there’s nearly no niche untouched.

3) anet somehow forgot to count the taxes with their “you cant sell under merchant rate”, even not counting the money they lose from lost sale of the material used for crafting, people is still selling at a loss just from sales taxes.

dont forget that with more crits you get more bleeds (barbed precision), so precision is a highly suggested stat for condition builds (even if your bleed ticks wont crit the basic attack from the skill you are using to cast them will)

bleeds (and conditions in general) wont crit so crit damage is pretty low on the totem.

if you are dead you wont put -any- condition on anything so some tough/vit is required too (generally better tough as we already have a lot of hp)

condition damage is good but it scales poorly, generally is better to have more bleed stacks (again, from barbed precision) than a few more hp of damage/bleed, with the caveat of the max 25 stacks limitation obviously.

Dagger won’t scale with Condition Damage…at all; it needs Power or Precision, so Epidemic isn’t really synergistic.

Dagger does hit enemies other than the targeted enemy, just like a normal melee weapon, so if they are close together it is a form of AoE. Don’t assume that D/D is going to be the best combo. Try the other off-hand weapons. I like D/W.

dagger dont cleave, its not aoe – if you are hitting somebody else than the one you are targeting it mean that he’s out of range and you hare NOT hitting him.

it would make the dagger completely obsolete, the slight increase in single target dps wouldnt matter with the added disadvantage of being meelee only.
I would make the dagger 1 and 2 front aoe 3 targets with a small bonus on vampiric for multiple target hits, increase slightly the attack rate of axe and scepter, add some extra effect to axe 2 (it “just” does lackluster damage, that’s booring), increase the projectile speed of staff 1 and shroud attacs.

The people who claim it is dying are people who hit 80 and have no idea what to do because they don’t get the concept of the game and the whole map being their endgame at that point. You know what is ironic. The people rushing to level 80 are the noobs compared to the rest of us taking our time.

epidemic is nice but it has pretty short range, you are well inside the enemy aoe and ranged fire envelope to use it on them.
you need some kind of escape utility to gtfo, like spectral walk or wurm teleport

Yes, I’d much prefer they fix the AI than give us direct control.

And no “just ignore the tool you’re given” isn’t an option as that is purposefully playing badly.

and while you wait for your magical ai fix, you will still be having kitten pets…
there’s a reason if in all other games you get to command your npc followers in some ways and they -always- suck when you dont.

I’d honestly rather not get minion control UI. It takes away from the whole “mindless undead” thing.

I would rather have non-idiotic pets, as it takes away from actually being effective with them.
if ai is not on par, lets give us tools to directly control them, you can just ignore the tools if you dont want to use those.
when they’ll make real ai that can actually take good decisions they can revert, but then we’ll be already under control of our new digital overlords.

No Jon, you got this completly wrong. Night capping means fighting NPC’s. There’s nothing fun about that. You want to tell me that Anet LIKES to fight NPC’s more then fighting human players? Well, if this is your position and idea of having fun then to me it means I need to give you the game back and take my money because nothing will change in this regard.

I’ve played both at night and during peak times on my server. I rarely see people attack defended targets. They always look for the one (or use distraction to make one) that is poorly defended and try to cap it before defenders arrive. There should be more reward for killing opponents than rushing around taking bases and not defending them.

afaik non-oem windows 7 licenses are valid for both 32 and 64bit versions, you can reinstall the 64 bit version without needing to buy another licence (you cant just update, you need to do a complete install).

some npc have good ai, they dodge, get out of AOE, do some mixed arm (albeit simple) tactics when you have a melee and a ranged/mage type etc.
only our minions are completely braindead, we should learn to use better cerebral matter when rebuilding them, not just the old Abby Normal we usually get…

those are high level char in a low level zone, your level gets temporary lowered to the max admited in the zone.
you can get flesh golem from level 30 (if you have 10 slot skill point free to use)

dagger 1 and 2 need to become cone aoe, max 3 targets, with a little bonus to healed amount for hitting 2 or 3 targets in n. 2.

if dagger is to be considered our burst “high risks, big results” weapon, axe 2 lacks of high damage is acceptable but it need some extra effeect, as its now is just pure damage and too little of it, even with all the weakness stacks from axe 1
maybe something defensive?

When ressing a downed ally, if you push your “death shroud” button at the same time than your “action” button (I had bound shroud to R and action to the regular F so its easy to slip and push both sometimes) your character will get stuck and cant move, you need to relog or teleport to another point.
you can still use skills.
(edit: the same happens when finishing a downed enemy)

Until you can sell products on the trading post for cost or even profit it is impossible. Right now, I believe the problem is in how many products are on the trading post, i.e. the supply massively outstrips the demand.

Why does the supply outstrip the demand? And why do people keep making things that are already in massive supply? Because they are forced to to level up the craft. They are forced to make so many of them that there is bound to be such a huge supply.

Make products give double or even triple crafting experience and watch that supply fall to reasonable levels – although it may take a while.

wrong, the game crafting value deflation comes from having too many “good enough” drops (blue and green), too little money that dont comes from items that can be broken in crafting component and too good exp by crafting.
if people started dropping mostly gray items (changed so they would be worth as blue/green are now at the merchant) and crafting would give less exp, you would see only (well, mostly) people that actually craft to make money and know the worth of what they build selling stuff in the AH.
btw when do you need to craft more than a few already discovered items to level?
you level 80% by discovery and 19% from basic material refining when you climb to the next material level, only 1% or so you need to do repetitive recipes.

often the best thing to equip yourself and your friends is to farm the mats, sell them and buy the full built item on the ah so yes, the market is completely fubar, most people sell items for less of what the materials they use are worth.

You want an explanation why they did what they did?

Anet told us before this game was released explorable wasn’t meant for pugging, it was meant for guild runs with communication etc. Yet everyone was doing speedruns of a certain path and you don’t think that’s supposed to be fixed?

so why it need to be farmed 90 times for each sets?
this dont make any sense, if it require to be farmed, it should be farmable.
if they dont want it to be farmed, they should make it rewarding at 1 run.
I have no problem with challenge, but I dont want to run a nearly-impossible dungeon 100 times, mindlessing repeated challenge is just stupid.
just make so each run give enough tokens for a full piece/weapon and I could like it.
as it is now, I will finish it once to see how it is and enjoy the challenge, then wathever, I wont make my eye bleed for 100 times.

Wells are Horrible. Just be cause they are one of the few things that work on Necro doesn’t make them “GOOD” it just means they work.

Take well of power. It converts conditions into boons. 1 condition into 1 boon, every sec for 5 secs. For a grand total of 5 conditions into boons. Those boons only last for 5 secs. The whole time to get the full effect you have to remain stationary inside of the field.

maybe you didnt notice but necros get aoe chill, cripple and blind.
they -wont- get out of that well if you know how to play necro and they wont do anything while there, just suffer.

@ NixZero – Again, i agree, to some extent. But when the trebs are firing from way beyond even draw distance range, its broken, it means the defenders dont even have to come out of their keep to eliminate the treat. They can ‘turtle’ and when the trebs go down from miles away, repair, job done, no one is taking this keep! Im suggesting maybe a range or even retaliation on the siege operator NOT the equipment itself. I have no issues from pulling away from the treb for a few moments if I get hit, heal up, give the defenders a rest-bite to plan their offensive, before I start hitting them again.

treb have really too long range, I concour, the ability to hit a fort from inside another fort make for a really static war of attrition – but we were talking about arrow carts, not trebs ^^
btw the best anti-siege machine strategy is just to negate supplies.
with no supply there wont be any siege machine.
kill those hairy quadrupedes!

I agree with this, that actually makes more sense than a lot of the drivel I’ve seen on here. Orbs would be a nice little perk for those winning, while the outmanned buff would actually be useful for once lol. It could scale with the amount you are outnumbered and such, and you could get like 10% MF per orb or something like that.

That makes a lot of sense. I would very much like it to be the MF/Exp/Karma buffs altogether though, (but maybe scale back to 10 or 5% MF given that it’s controllable, though Outmanned is not controllable).

another small thing I noticed about servers -severely- outgunned: if a server completely dominate all three maps and heavily fortify every supply camp, how would the other servers be able to do anything without a supplies font?
a well entrenched 20 man group with siege machines can keep three times that number without any at bay easily, even if they arent allready dominating in numbers at that time.
maybe after x minutes that a side dominates -every- supply camp the other two side base camps should spawn a temporary supply well?

As it is now the stackable Orb bonus give an heavy power advantage to the side that get more than one of them, mostly the survivability increase remove any “glass” from “glass cannon” builds and scale too well.
And obviously a server which can get all three orbs meant automatically that has a big advantage against the other two servers, thus dont really need another power increase.

All the while, there’s the Undermanned bonus which is given to a server with severe population disadvantage on a w3 map, which give them a xp+loot bonus.
Obviously they would get to see this increased xp+loot if they were able to actually win fights, which they basically cant because they are undermanned, as the bonus name says.

It basically look like a sad joke, the side that is winning easy and want to earn more sweet loot/exp get a power bonus that they dont really need, the side that cant win a fight because has not enough power (lacking numbers), see in their buff barr a bonus they wont ever use.

The most logic and easier to implement solution would be to just switch those two bonus around, this way orbs are still something that players will fight over because everybody want sweeter, bigger loot while the undermanned servers will actually get somewhat of a fighting chance if they play their card well.

Not sure if many of you have ever seen the ‘Outmanned’ buff or if it is just Kaineng specific but altering this may help. Currently it gives bonus xp, bonus magic find, and bonus gold. All of these are very nice, but how does it help us gain some ground?

this is true, they should switch orb bonus and outmanned bonus.
the side that its already winning dont need even more fighting power while a bonus on earned loot could be nice, the losing side just has no use of getting more gold and xp for what they cant win.

dunno, commander has just a bit too wide scope to use those perks, as basically everybody on the map can join a squad it would become mostly pointless showing random people on the map and micromanaging them.
the commander role is to work on strategies, not tactics.
they should rename the “squad commander” to “general” (or just “commander”) and add a new “squad leader” role for 15 to 30 people groups with all the perks you are requesting.

What I would like is some way to gauge the actual ability of a commander to lead people in battle, so its not just the first moron with 100 gold to spare that get everybody killed.
probably the ability to just like/unlike a commander would be enough (even if a bit prosaic…) or to swear fidelty (yeah, follow…) to one.

Being a melee in WvWvW is near suicidal. Going up close just means you’re the first to get focused which means that the only possible way to have a chance to survive would be to outnumber and zerg them

sorry, I dont get this “melee” thing.
whats a melee?
everybody get to have at least two set of weapons (or multiple kits or multiple attunements), so everybody can be proficent at both melee and ranged combat.
when your enemy is farther, use your ranged skill, when is nearer, use your melee skills.
this for any profession.

A good ranger with high precision and high strength will do a ton of damage. The short bow shoots a lot faster. I am only level 16 and was taking down people easily in WvW.

the thruth about how gear and stats scales with the level boost is that at really low levels you get to do a kittenton of damage, a lot more than any non-uberly geared lvl 80.
you just lack flexibility.

arrow cart cant be OP because they are static defences in a mostly mobile game – maybe they should add a couple of seconds of delay to entering/exiting fire mode so the operator is more dependant on other for self defence but I dont think its really necessary and would make looting a lot harder (all those bags, those beautifull bags!)

Folks need to realize it is a three way battle. If one team has 2x the score of the others then the other two servers should be working together to put them down.

If you want to spend a week being stomped go ahead and keep fighting two fronts.

this would be true in theory, in practice if you backstab the other losing side while his full forces are fighting for their life against the powerfull side, you get an easy win, thus a small reprieve after all the bashing the powerfull side is giving you too.
a really well organized server will see tha this is just a losing proposition but most server will just see the easy win.

I play on the Isle of Janthir server. We’re not horrible at WvWvW. We do occasionally get steamrolled. Ok, lately, it might be more than occasionally. This is where the problem is, I think.

We did not too bad at the beginning. We were at least marginally close for most of the games we didn’t win. As time went on, we started getting decimated. Now, it seems like we’re always going up against servers that roll over us with no problems. I ask myself why, and the only answer i can come up with is “Free Transfers”.

or maybe by winning you climbed the ladder and got set against servers which were just better than the ones you were fighting before…

Do you honestly find WVW fun? Like I said, I have tried to get into it but it is just badly designed. zerg vs zerg or players vs door. take your pick =/

and this is the difference between people playing in a good, solid guild on a good server and people that want to run alone and conquer the world.
whe have fun even with just ten people, no zerg needed.

devs intended for people to use the equipment that they get, there are zones where you cant deploy war equipment and that isnt one of them.
