Thats because you where supposed to win that match and supposed to lose the other, if you win/lose a match you aren’t supposed to win/lose you gain/lose way more

I’m not sure if it’s just a coincidence that there was a team MMR difference as such for 10 games in a row, but my last 5 wins have all been +9 or +10, and my last 5 losses were all -13 to -15.

Edit 2: (didn’t expect this thread to get gravedug but I’m a lot more familiar with how the matchmaking works, so I figured I’d explain it) Pretty much, not enough high-rating people play and/or people do not play on their higher-rated accounts, leading to games like (1900 + 1900 + 1500 + 1500 + 1500) vs a similar comp. As such, even when you’re going against a similar comp (1900 + 1900 + 1500 + 1500 + 1500), and the game is a struggle because the enemy team has two good players as well, you’re only up to win something like +7 while potentially losing like -18.

Sounds like an interesting idea that would also help to balance out chest supply verses keys bought (because we all know that nobody, or next to nobody, buys more keys than chests they receive as drops).

I wouldn’t really call it a Fractal Relic sink, as it generates more relics than it uses. +5 simple infusions show up quite commonly, which can be purchased for 25 relics and exchanged for 75 relics.

Don’t worry, I only AFK in games that are already 4v5 to begin with (and going poorly, on top of that. Poorly as in like 10-450.)

Just had a very enjoyable match where we had 3 people cap home together, only for one of them to leave the game later on. At that point, when the game is completely unwinnable, is it appropriate to just AFK and let the enemy team win so I can play another match sooner?

The new pinging system is a step forward, but we can still do better. Sometimes, when trying to ping your team to fall back from a location or come to a specific spot, it’s not very intuitive to look at the mini-map. And even so, it might be a bit difficult to ping a specific location in the minimap with great precision.

To remedy this, in addition to creating a ping on the map, it should be created physically, on the floor. You should also be able to ping directly on the floor (like any other ground-targeted ability) . This will make it vastly easier to coordinate your party as they can physically see where they need to go, rather than try to make it out on the minimap.

Attached is an example of what this could look like. (not artistic by any means, but you get the concept!)

Also, you should be able to bind a key to ping that’s not shift – I’m tired of dodging (and sometimes rolling off a cliff) in order to ping!

Just ran this mission in a party of 3 guild members (all representing) and only one received the personal reward. We all made it to the final chest. That one member left, and we reactivated the mission several times and it succeeded several times, but the other member and myself have yet to receive personal rewards. I even ran it again on a different character, the mission said it succeeded, and I didn’t get anything.

Is this a bug, or are we doing something wrong?

I didn’t know it was possible, but I lost ~6000 gold in the past day. (had 4000 ectos in the bank in massive-glob form, which accounts for ~2000g, not included in the account value – it’s gone now!)

Is this mission bugged? I queued as a guild team, started the mission after the queue popped but before I even accepted the queue, and won 3 stronghold games. I haven’t even been successful to get the one-win stronghold to credit. Yes, we did kill the lord! (and everyone IS representing)

I’m looking to store a large investment of items in the mail by mailing to a friend and having them return to sender. I know the limit of mail you can have at one time is 10 (from players at least), but I also know that extra mail will get queued in a backlog. Is there a limit to this backlog, or can I potentially keep queueing items in there forever?

You can’t trade them in anymore, it seems (Upon my visit to Fion after you linked him) – He only trades in the Hot purchase and World Boss/Raid Boss tokens now.

Actually, wow. Seems I just slapped myself in the face. Upon switching to my storage character (that actually has the coins), the option shows up. But, unfortunately, you can still only buy one at a time. The clicking begins…

I collected over 2000 Fancy Furniture coins when SAB was released, and exchange around around 100 of them for Super Clouds but my hand got tired so I figured I could exchange the rest later. With the next update, that introduced the possibility to buy multiple items at a time, the vendor was also removed. I sent in a ticket asking if I could get my coins exchanged, but they told me I needed to wait for SAB to be released again.

I think this is quite silly. Now, I would understand if it were something like the red lanterns that you can buy with luck, because you can obtain luck at any time. But the Fancy Furniture coins can only be obtained during SAB anyway, and locking players out of exchanging them for clouds is just a slap in the face that says “Oh, you didn’t trade in the coins you earned? Too bad, wait a year to do so”

Apparently you need to talk to the decoration vendor on a character that has the coins their inventory in order to see the option. But you can still buy only one at at time!

As the title states. I was having a great start on a PVP game, and then all of a sudden, my WHOLE team disconnects at the same time. Did the servers explode and my team got the short end of the stick, or what’s the deal?

Just curious to see where everybody is at.

I’m at 840*200 + 83 = 168083 items. (check by looking at the Agent of Entropy achievement). At a rate of 3 copper per salvage, that totals to around 50g in expenses.
Time played = 3261 hours -> roughly 52 salvages an hour.

Saw it coming for a while, though, as it’s really broken with Chronophantasma.

~100 clears of meta for me, and I have around this many ingots (haven’t refined all dust yet).

I’m sure most of you have experienced this at least once – where you DC out of a winning game, reconnect, still win, but get credited with a loss anyways. I find it extremely frustrating, and believe that they should change how desertion works in the event of a winning game. Sure, there may be events where someone DCs and contributes nothing to their team but comes back to get carried, but there is a large difference between that and disconnecting for a brief couple minutes due to something that is most often out of your control. Heck, I even had a game where one player got stuck inside a pillar the whole game, and couldn’t even relog for a moment because he would receive dishonor, so he just had to put up with being stuck in one place the whole game. Should the mechanic be changed?

My story:
– Down 1000 gold
– Up 4000 gold
– Lost all that 4000 gold
– Lost another 5000 gold (and counting)

Something in me hopes that redemption can happen at some point, but I think it’s probably better to stop trying.

Hi, I’ve noticed that there are tradeable versions of Kaiser Snake weapons on the marketplace that people are obtaining from the Kaiser Snake Weapon Box. I know the normal Super Weapon Box can be obtained from the end chest at a 2% rate (daily chest only). Do Kaiser Snake weapons also drop in all end chests? Or do they drop in only tribulation mode, or only World 2, etc?

Was trying to “enjoy” some PVP and then all of a sudden my character can’t move, or use any F commands (res, finish). I’m a Mesmer and I tried dodging, blinking, or using Phase Retreat but still couldn’t move (was not in combat). Was stuck on the spot for the whole game. Amazing

I bought 1 shared inventory slot a while ago, but now I want to buy more. I know there is a maximum of 5; if I buy the 5-pack, will I be refunded any gems as I already have one? Or is there no point?

What I want to happen to Fractals:
– Add a separate category for 76-100

Add a random daily (“recommended” Fractal) for 51-75 and 76-100
Make the 3 daily require 2 of any type + the recommended Fractal. That way, every day you have to mix things up a bit if you want the big chest. You could still run 2 swamps but worst-case would require you to run a Cliffside, but all in all I think it would be a fair compromise.

One of my friends who is relatively new to the game attuned his rings that were slotted with +12 infusions. It’s a big loss for him; could he possibility get support by sending a ticket, or is all hope lost?

Does anybody know the rate at which inscriptions/insignias are recovered from Ascended gear? And are upgrades recovered at a 100% rate?

As the title states. How many clears do you need to do for the hard WvW challenge (Guild mission) that wants you to complete the Obsidian sanctum? It says recommended players is 15 – does that mean it wants 15 clears?

EDIT: only one clear was needed!

I have a friend looking for a class to play – any suggestions? Here are his guidelines:
– Must be ranged (he likes pewpewing!)
– Must be a high-tier DPS class
(this is for PVE!)

Is it possible to show the Winter’s Presence effects alongside the outfit?

It’s weird, though. You would expect that the grand chests should have improved loots from the others, not improved in one place (greens → yellows) and removed in another (recipes → no recipes).

As the title states. Notes:
– Event was cleared in 11 minutes
– Successful “Slay the octovine!” event credit was given out
– Grand Exalted chests were revealed beneath Tarir
– All the doors were open as they should have been when the event succeeds
– The Exalted do not circle around the middle mourning over a loss
– Players are rewarded with aurillium/EXP as if the event failed
– The meta-event message states that the event failed

Related: Grand chests do NOT drop recipes. Is this intended?

I’ve been opening solely Grand chests recently (the large ones), but I’ve noticed a little something odd. I’ve opened a few hundred of them, and haven’t got a single recipe book (exotic or ascended). I used to get several of them when I opened the smaller chests too (notably the Great ones) – has anybody else ever gotten one from a Grand chest?

I’ve been on GW hiatus for a while, only recently coming back. I was never very rich (no more than like 250g in raw gold), but the last thing I was doing was flipping some Dreamthistle skins (notably, the dagger) which have now been officially removed. I have noticed that some people have listed Dreamthistle skins for 1000G each.
The dagger currently does not have any sellers, but buyers are only offering 300G for them. I was considering listing one for 1000G (according to GW2spidy, sell offers have been hovering around there), but that brings about a 50G listing fee which is quite substantial to me, and I wasn’t sure if people actually buy those skins for 1000G to begin with.
Does anybody have any advice for me as to how I should price this dagger? I could really use the gold, but I don’t want to make a rash decision and waste a huge listing fee or miss out on the item’s potential value.

100% agree. I have a couple minis, but I always forget to use them because they disappear when I die, waypoint, etc. They sleep in an invisible bag at the bottom of my inventory and it’s a hassle to pull them out every time.
