You’re gonna die and walk out with repair bills higher than the silver rewards that, even if the difficulty is reduced, still need to be brought back to what they were.

They do say some stuff like that. When the twirlywirly guy in CoF story mode kept kicking our kittens, he said some pretty wicked things when we were wiping or near wiping. It made me lol because he was just such a boss dude.

My favorite part though, was that he said something different every time we wiped/were near wiping.

If you’re running a power build the answer to dealing with Death Blossom’s low damage is simply not to use it.

That photo doesn’t do it much justice (it’s the only one I found of that particular hairstyle for assassins) but it’s really honestly a great hair that I’d love to see in GW2 if it can be somehow implemented.

Death Blossom is a cool skill with a cool animation and a good effect. Aoe bleeding stack + dmg with a cool looking evade…but here’s the problems.

The damage is just too dang low, and if you focus on building Power or Crit, then the condition damage from Bleeding suffers.

Here’s my ideas to help equalize the skill and actually help it see some use outside of purely condition based D/D builds:

This may or may not really be needed but consider changing it to 4 Initiative from 5.

Buff the damage it already does by an okay amount, but scale down the damage it does the higher your Condition Damage is, and scale up the damage it does the lower your Condition Damage is.

Same the other way around -> Bring the Condition Damage down the higher your Power is, and bring the Condition Damage up the lower your Power is.

Builds utilizing both won’t see much of a change.

Ding ding ding! Power/Precision D/D builds now finally have a 5th weapon skill.

Note: The condition damage and power scalings only affect this skill, they don’t alter your stats.

Thief has tons more survivability with tons more damage and is in a game that isn’t dynamically and subtly against melee. Way more fun imo

I’m not sure if they do this for other classes, but I’ve played exclusively a Thief since launch and Infiltrator’s Arrow/Shadowstep/etc like to say “Out of range” a lot.

It can be detrimental in the middle of a fight, so I think it would be a lot better if, when you shoot Infiltrator’s Arrow with your cursor past the maximum distance, the skill should still activate and it should still send you as close as the range of the skill would allow you to get to your cursor’s position.

This allows perfect 100% use of the range of the skills, and a lot less spamming the number key and tantalizingly slowly moving your mouse downward in the middle of a heated fight trying to get mobile when your class places EXTREME importance on mobility.

After the last patch for the dungeons the rewards got bugged and they are insane low, but a developer said they were working on it, i would recommend you to wait for the new patch that should contain the “fixes” for this incident.

The problem isn’t the rewards being bugged

That’s a problem coming from a problem

The original problem is the fact that they made the rewards too kittening low. I couldn’t care less about the rewards being bugged because I don’t even do dungeons anymore because of the lowered rewards in the first place

Please, give us more clear details of how you tried to get past the issues. Because whilst I do want to think this is down to bad conveyance etc and just minor tweakable oversights from A-net, it SOUNDS like you were trying to hammer square pegs into round holes, when you clearly had the combined weapons of a large superpower military and COULD have blown a square into a opening the size of alaska, but forgot how to operate door handles and thus couldn’t get into the armory.

I like that we’re getting more tokens, but my interest is still in the Silver rewards.

Is there any way we can choose if we want more tokens or more Silver? I wouldn’t mind getting the same 20 tokens per run (or even less) if it means I can have my pre-patch rewards back.

About CoF,

I would prefer it to be as easy as it was before the patch, however I wouldn’t mind the difficulty staying as it is.

I would like Magg to stop being bugged so often,

I honestly think it is now much, much more profitable being the repair anvil than to fully run the dungeons.

Give the 26s end reward back.

WTB new tonic: Repair Anvil. Sit at the beginning of CoF and you get 5g every second from repairs.

Assassin’s Signet’s active component doesn’t proc on the next attack – it gets used up upon the next use of a skill. Like if you activate Assassin Signet, and then right afterward Haste, the charge of Assassin Signet will get used.

When you lose something instead of gain something for working in an MMO, it’s intensely flawed.

Some people just dont get it. Money and gear are not the main part to play a dungeon or a game. Its to play with friends, to enjoy the game, to work together, to relax after a long day of work. If I lose money every time I play a dungeon then i’m oke with it. Because I had a great time and the experience I had was a lot greater then the money and gear I can get out of it.

Ok so you lose some money, then you lose some more money, then you’re all out of money and so are your friends and all your armor’s broken. You can no longer complete the dungeon. Now what? still having fun? Or are your friends saying “gee, thanks so much for wasting all my money and destroying all my gear that was awesome!” XD

well at least someone here knows what he’s talking about. lol

Assassin’s Signet works on the next skill, not hit. It’s bugged → activating Haste will use up Assassin’s Signet’s active component.

Whatever skill-bar action you do after activating the signet will use up the charge, whether you press the button or if your character does it.

The tokens don’t matter. If the amount of time spent within the dungeon doesn’t meet up the end money reward, (or even let the money reward go higher) then it is fundamentally flawed.

MMO’s are those awesome types of games that have the capacity to teach you about life. You always gain things when you work for them. But now with Robert’s change to CoF’s time and reward, you sacrifice something (money) to get something unrelated (armor tokens) when you should be sacrificing something else for it (repair costs and time).

Not only did they nerf the rewards into making it a waste of time to replay story mode, but they also increased the difficulty.

cm story has extra champions, snipers, conditons, doggies upgraded to silver and do fear, and the whoppping reward: 1 silver 8kxp

At least, AT LEAST give us the freaking monetary rewards back, Anet. Keep your insane difficulty you ramped-up if you want it so badly, but give us our rewards back! This is totally backwards!

Not only is it backwards, but CoF was my main cash flow…it made me feel good at mmo’s, and I never really was good at them. It felt like salvation. And even THEN, I STILL had to run it a bajillion and a half times to get the Tier 3 cultural armor that I covet so deeply. Thanks for hashing my dream in half.

I think the 1h weapons should cost half as many tokens as they do now.

330 tokens for 1 flame legion dagger. 660 if you want them in both of your hands like a good little thief…which is quiiiite a bit more than Gift of Baelfire which is used in creating a Legendary.

Ridiculous.

the idea is having no “carrot” in this game. its not like WoW, you just need to “enjoy” this game. run dungeons and get no loot, you just do it for fun.

If your running dungeons and expecting for loot you bought the wrong game.

Fun is supplemented by reward and desire.

There is no more reward. Therefore, no more desire for the expensive things.

Hopelessness. That’s what they bought us in this game. Then yes, this is a very wrong game.
