Any decent trapper build for WvW roaming?

I play a very successful trapper ranger. Here is the key.
Obviously the trapper runes.
Weapons need to be axe and torch as your main set.
axe skill 1 builds might
axe skill 2 does 4753 damage (bleed)
axe skill 3 does a chill for runners
torch skill 4 does 4580 damage (burn)
torch skill 5 does 10305 damage (burn)

Now alternate set can be either bow or greatsword.
I use bow in pvp as the need to outrun people is less.
I use greatsword when roaming in WvW for the speed, stun and block.
The offhand set will only be moderate damage.

For your slottable skills put these in…
6 healing spring (its a trap so you go invis)
7 flame trap.
8 viper’s nest
9 spike trap.
0 entangle.

All of your jewelry must have its condition damage stat the biggest then equal in toughness and precision.

put superior sigil of corruption on your greatsword or bow and your water weapon.
have an extra axe or torche that you have a sigil of corruption on. This is for building stacks of condition damage. Once you get 25 stacks swap your axe or torch out for your main one.

Put sigil of bursting (+6% condi damage) in your torch and sigil of smoldering (longer burns) in the axe.

Now play style.

A trapper does not stay and fight. You must strafe the area with traps and momentary attacks. Once you lay the traps and apply some fire get the heck away from the target. let the condi work while your traps reset. repeat.

I usually start out with the healing spring to close distance while stealthed. It also starts a health regen to help out with damage i may take soon.
Then I close distance and set traps in the area I plan to escape to and on the target.
Use throw torch on the way in and then Bonfire on top of the target.
Flip around and run away over the incoming traps and your healing spring for more heals.

if things get too hot switch to the greatsword.

Marksman is : 3 2 1 (top 1 to bottom 3)
Wilderness: 2 1 1
Skirmishing : 3 3 2

Another tactic. Throw some jumk siege. Throw 3 traps on it. Zerkers will die just to the traps.

Almost forgot…dodge on the way out!

Thief could possibly have 4 viable builds

From what I’ve seen, Thief might be the class with the most options. There’s your usual D/P build. And then you have the team fight oriented staff build. Then there’s the S/D Acro build, a build all about evading. And lastly the D/D condi build with the main goal being to stack bleeds. A lot of options to play if your a thief.

I’m afraid you are inexperience. There are no viable builds. Viable meaning that equally skilled people with split wins 50%.

Personally I think the AA buff is useless. Anyone complaining its OP or even good is probably just a bad player. I play all classes and was wondering why it was easier to kill thieves recently. Its because they are trying to get auto attacks in and staying out where I kick zap their massive 11K health in 2 hits…or 1 hit.

That’s a fair point, I’ll admit thief lacks ranged options for PvE, but doing so would break WvW/PvP

When I roll P/D thief I can play keep away forever against melee targets, but that’s in wvw, it’s why I even brought this topic up. My range capability for my main playing feels heavily sufficient, things I try to kill have a hard time killing me, and cloak lets me get easy stomps.

The other thing to keep in mind though is that the thief really isn’t a thief, it has one skill “steal” for theft, and thief themed traits. But it’s really just an assassin class, and assassin classes tend to shine in PvP over PvE, the exception being against a single target with a small group, then the caster and the assassin are usually your big DPS.

PvE wise I’m not much effected by it, during Jormag I hunt the champs and then contribute DPS on the push.

Yeah…like warriors don’t have a ranged weapon that hits hard as hell and has good range! Oh wait a minute!?! What? Why shouldn’t a thief have the option? Oh yeah…we hate thieves…almost forgot. they need to have few options and only a couple viable builds. Sorry forgot.

Fair enough, but name an escape the ranger has for that situation. Point blank shot will likely trip an auto-break passive, hunters shot is just a poor mans cloak that the thief readily has access too.

Lightning reflexes? Thief has Roll for initiative and Withdraw, entangle? The Ranger forums are already saying Entangle is too easy to counter in this meta.

I’m not saying the ranger does not have options, mind you. But it has a more limited window, with even less effective uses. A PP thief can pulse blind to mitigate some damage, has access to up to three escapes(withdraw, RFI, Shadow step). Plus steadfast refusal to weapon swap when in melee range would get any class killed

The best option for a pewp pew ranger as far as survival is the greatsword and his pets.

Shoot to go invis. Switch to sword and zoom off. If they pursue then use block and/or stun. Swap pets for the speed boost. Use the plant wolf who heals with F2. Use sic’em for another speed buff. By then you can swap weapons and fire off another shot to hide yourself and then when hidden use your elite rooting skill. Survival for rangers is running away.

I have escaped zergs like this. You can even spec to use the greatsword speed skill twice in a row!

as it stands right now, though. The thief sort of “jack of all trades” it’s ranged combat, buffing it would put it in danger of overtaking other classes that are primarily focused around ranged combat.

A thief can cover up to 3,100 range, (sensibly, shadow step, agility signet, steal for the point blank) and retreat 1,200 in an instant. The field of movement gives it an advantage no class has. Technically speaking I can cloak, venom, ambush a ranger with a stealth attack, drop barrage and step away and cloak again with almost 0 retaliation.

And that’s p/p, with not even full zerk that’s about 10k damage overall, rapid fire can’t do that, and it’s on the ranger class.

Obviously you have never played a pew pew ranger. If I only do 10K damage on my rapid fire it means i got really kittenty rolls. Pretty sure I do 20 k routinely. I routinely kill thieves with a single rapid fire from full. Especially have I have used sic’em.

Yeah yeah…I can dodge your rapid fire. Which is why I use it after 2 dodges…now what are you going to do? Die? I thought so.

latest "buffs" for dagger thiefs

I have to say the latest “buffs” to the dagger thief proves without a shadow of a doubt that the person in charge of this area is out of touch with how the class is meant to be played.

The buffs only give you damage bonuses if you are out of stealth.
if you are out of stealth you are taking damage…full…larger than any other class damage.

Some people say they were not expecting a damage buff, but I think they just are used to being nerfed. The dagger thief needs a huge buff to damage. We need to return to what we used to be. Kings of spike damage.

Now as a full berzerker and power signet equipped and 25 stacks of power and food etc I get a max of 12K damage. This is laughable.

I have been hit for 19K damage from heavy armor wearing classes by a huge distance closing leap . They didn’t even need to use a prep skill to do that. So lets compare how much better that is:

That class has 18K in HP’s easy.
It has heavy armor which further reduces damage.
It has the same distance closing ability.
It also gets immunities and blocks…none of which a thief has.

So in a battle… I move in and need to do a skill that first stealths me. Then I get to position myself behind the target. Then I hit him for say 9 K because his armor reduces damage. In percentage I just hit him for 50% of his health. yes I can now follow it by white damage, but only maybe 2 hits before I die.

Conversely the heavy artmor wearer..select me and hits a single button. He flies towards me and hits me for 18K damage (which is 7K more than I have.) I have no counters to the jump, or the damage. I am just dead. But say he did just 9K damage. That leaves me with 2K which one of his auto-attacks does and I am dead again. Say he rolls a real dud and does only 5K damage. That leaves me with 6K health. Now he just goes invuln and hits me twice or three times more.

Do you see a problem here?

Do thieves need a damage buff? Oh yeah…or everyone else needs a damage nerf. If we were to compare the damage and equalize them, then a thief should backstab for 20ish K. Of course that is based on the very much OP power of this other class. Would people be screaming bloody murder? You bet…yet the new classes are all similarly over powered in both damage and crowd control.

I am a realist however and don’t expect dagger thief ever to be viable again as I have little faith after this change you even understand how the thief class works.

How the HELL is this game Pay to Win? Did any of those idiots EVER play ANY OTHER MMORPG that was EVER made? This game is SOOO far from being Pay to Win. It’s one of the fairest cash shops I’ve ever seen.

For the reaper, I actually do have an answer. Ranger. As silly as that sounds. Their distance safe space is truly not to be underestimated. I’ve seen many necros go down against rangers. A (very) good thief will always be able to destroy any Necro.

Verify the patch notes for rev. He got gutted.

it is possible for core if he set all his trait and skills to only pwn specific enemy, including reaper and rev. I mean, you know, in more general.

I really feel like people forgot what true pay 2 win is. It’s not like they’re selling +stats gear in the cash shop like Nexon…

The classes have skills that are not counterable , have 20% more damage on average and more crowd control. They have absolutely NO disadvantage to an old class. This is definately pay to win.

I’ll pay them money when….

1.) I get 4 choices when queueing a class. (One selection is usually revenant and I’m not expanded so I get 3 class choices.)

2.) They actually address the OP heavy classes with high damage range ability.
3.) They actually implement a single major ASKED FOR change to wvw. JUST ONE!
4.) They fix thieves.
5.) They address the stupid teleports …what is a counter to a teleport?
6.) They implement a counter to armor…vulnerability adding 1% damage is a joke.
7.) They stop shutting down pvp compete queue for “e-sports”
8.) They address and get serious about hackers.

Then I’ll think about buying the product. Why would I buy a product that has made no improvements in 3 years? That last expansion was a pure money grab and the nerfing of original classes was to “encourage” you to make a purchase. Not only have i not purchase an upgrade I also stopped buying gems. If they would have opened up the expansion toons to me i would have had to buy more slots etc and they would have made there money anyway. Instead I’m bitter and now hold a severe grudge against a company I feel has screwed its long time customer.

I’d like to start a thread where we list dumb things in each area of the game and things that can easily be fixed without a bunch of controversy.

So here are the first few:

1.) The PVP lobby. Its dumb. It is somewhat of a punishment for pvp. You get to stand around and hear how bad GW2 is. It is just a chat room of hate. Why have it at all?

2.) The 10 seconds to queue then the huge wait once you are inside. That is just dumb. Why not just have the enter bar take say 2 minutes and then the game starts or you get dishonor. I can’t tell you how many times queues have stated 2:30 minutes but i just waited 4 games of 5 minutes. I queue and run off to the fridge and come back 30 seconds later…oh sorry I was dishonorable.

So here are the first few:

1,) The battleground is full and you go to enter.

You get a prompt “Do you want to queue for it?” Well um yeah. I could see the queue number BEFORE I clicked enter.

2.) NPC’s running back to spawn and super healing. I can understand they need to have a range. But I’m fighting and fighting the boss…. I don’t move. Suddenly the boss says “oh oh…I’m about to lose. Time for cheesy super heal.” and does his thing. if you believe this is a player problem then draw a ring of “have to be in this ring” outside the normal ring.

3.) NPC’s outside keeps etc.

Matchmaker horribly broken

So I got to wondering about matchmaker so i did some experimentation.

I sat out the first half of each game I played…(10 games)
Then at the halfway point I joined in.

So there was some interesting results.

1.) In all games weather we were winning or losing I finished no further down than 2nd on my team and 1st was always within 20 points.

2.) In the games we were losing in my team almost had no points.

3.) In the games we were winning in we were barely winning and when I joined clobbered them (I took first overall in all of these.)

So my conclusions are:

1.) I am better than your average player.
2.) The teams are always very imbalanced and only through my own heroic efforts do i make them within 200 points. (300 vs 500)
3.) The teams are so imbalanced that by my controlled absence a 4 vs 5 victory is very possible.
4.) If you have been losing you are stuck on the losers team.

So you get this huge imbalance and really a very decent player can be stuck in the losers bracket forever because no matter how good you are you still lose and get yet another chance to be queued with losers.

So let me ask you why its OK to lose a pip in this situation:

1.) I score more than 100 points than all other players.
2.) My team has 2 guys that stay on home and 1 that disconnects.
3.) We lose as I make a herculean effort to win and am constantly winning 2 vs 1 fights, taking points etc.

I lose a pip after we lose.

OK scenario 2.

My team is winning and I’m just sitting in the home base dancing.
They win and I have gotten my points because I tapped somebody while running away and then someone else killing that person.
I get a pip.

So its huge effort and top score…lose a pip….no effort and get a pip.

Why shouldn’t everyone consider this E-sports effort a complete failure?

1I’d like to offer a different approach to complaining about ANET’s poor class design related to thief. in this approach we can simply compare thieves to all other classes and see where we really shine. Of course we know we don’t shine anywhere…but let us go to the length of pointing it out. I’d like your input as well.

First we must look at a thieves role.
What is our role? Group healing? AOE damage? Tanking? Buffing? Damage?

I think we can all agree it should be damage. So some questions come to mind:

1.) How do we compare to other classes in pure damage numbers?
2.) How does our damage scale to our health and armor class in comparison to others?
3.) What kind of ranged damage do we have?
4.) How far can we deal damage from?

So in order to do damage you need to get to the target as thieves really only do fairly close damage. So how do we do this? Some questions arise:

1.) Are thieves kings of stealth?
a.) Do they enter and exit stealth better than a Mesmer or engineer?
b.) Does it last much longer?
c.) Does it offer any protection?
2.) Do other classes have obvious stealth marking zones (shadow refuge…aka kill me here)
3.) Are cooldowns on stealth skills adequate for all builds (dagger dagger..hint hint).

Then comes surviving:

1.) Is our medium armor really better than light armor?
2.) Is the 11 K base health really necessary on top of a bad armor class?
3.) Is the lack of blocks, invulns, useful blinds etc that other classes have all replaced by stealth?
4.) How does our condition removal compare to other classes (elementalist cough cough).
5.) Stealth is easily countered by special skills and AOE’s…what is the counter for heavy armor and a huge health pool? What is the counter to blocks and invulns etc?

I think answering the above questions would be very revealing for the ANET developer.

My assertion is that thieves have the 3rd best stealth.
Are actually toward the bottom of outright damage.
They are 2nd to last in survival (first being hunter).
They only have 1 or two viable builds and dagger dagger aint one of them.
They have very poor healing capability.
They have poor condition cleanse.
They shortbow is needlessly kitten vs other classes ranged options…Mostly because of its super short range and mostly useless poison shot.
If you try to build a survival build then you not only are still the easiest class to kill but don’t do ANY damage at all.

Conditions got buffed massively due to people whining about their dire condi tank builds not being able to out-DPS berserker-geared players in speed-run dungeons with very easy and very stale encounters.

The thief has limited cleansing available and a low health pool, making it extremely weak to conditions innately.

It’s just a bad state to be in. I usually just don’t bother fighting people who condition-oriented weapons because it’s pretty much a surefire loss unless investing deeply into camping stealth with Shadow’s Embrace and Rejuv.

What,What ?!! limited cleasing ? Hide in Shadows 3 , Signet of Agility 1, Infiltrator’s Return 1. Shadowstep 2. 3x codition cleanse with CD andone without CD.

Now traits: DD Escapist’s Absolution – cleanse condition every evade,

Traits 2:Tric Trickster = cleanse condition on all tricks skills – Withdraw,Caltrops,Haste,Roll for Initiative,Scorpion Wire,Dagger Storm.

Traits 3: SA Shadow’s Embrace =clenase condition every stealth – Blinding Powder,Shadow Refuge,Shadow Pursuit,Cloak and Dagger etc.

Traits 3: Acro Pain Response,Guarded Initiation,Don’t Stop (imune on immobil,chill/criple -50% duration)

Yeah Thief has limited conditions cleansing lol.

D/P,P/D,S/D Thief is unkillable with condition build

HiS doesn’t cleanse confusion or torment and is a very slow cast.

1 condition every 30s on SoA isn’t even worthwhile because other utilities could do it better or the endurance is used for evades.

IR is 1/3 max initiative to get a cast on, and it cleanses after the skill is pressed for the sake of confusion allowing for multiple ticks from its casting times + two procs of skill use just to attempt to remove it.

Shadowstep doesn’t cleanse on step but on the return only. 60s cooldown paired for the most significant mobility utility in the game makes it fight with re-positions and stunbreaks for use over cleansing. Bait SS and you win the fight.

Absolution has an ICD.

You believe that tricks are actually good, which they aren’t.

SE’s about the only respectable cleanse the class has, but one every 3s over a spread of conditions and cover conditions will kill the thief before SE can cleanse it all when against burst conditions.

Pain Response, again, only works on Bleed/Poison/Burn, not torment and confusion. GI only works on above 90% health (trash) and doesn’t remove DoT’s (trash) such that after one tick of anything it won’t go into effect anyways.

Don’t Stop has a 10s ICD and again, doesn’t do anything about DoTs or burst conditions.

Moral of the story is Shadowstep is the only option thieves have for doing anything against burst condition application, fights with other required utility purposes and abilities, and has a 60s cooldown as opposed to say, 30s on Cleansing Flames, 2 cleanses every 5s on a druid, kitten cure-all Signet of Stamina + Healing Signet on war, 30s Consume Conditions, 30s plague signet, 50s WoP, on necromancer for cure-alls, SoR’s passive, same-cooldown Cure-all on CoP on same cooldown, cure-all on PF on 35s, smite condition 20s for guard, 20s 4x cleanse on Mantra, kitten transfer on thievery, 32s cure-all on null field, Mallyx on revenant with ridiculous resistance uptime.

Those are just the utilities or weapon skills I know of. I think engineers have worse cleansing options than the thief, but they also have medium health (I.E. 50% better condition resistance) and around eight times the healing to just out-sustain the ticks with.

The cleansing options on the thief and overall mechanisms to deal with conditions are poor for the health the class has and its requirement of building squishier to do virtually anything. A build running Acro/SA/DD would be so laughably bad that all it could even do was maybe deal with conditions for a few seconds longer than normal, his a cooldown wall, and either just need to go into permanent stealth and camp stealth like a scrub, or die.

I call this a flawless victory….

This is worse than I possibly imagined. These guys are talking about gathering data to balance the classes. What? You have all the tables in front of you! This balancing should have been done up front with equations. Small scripted scenarios using the data from tables should have been a priority. What I read in that other message board is that you kinda slap stuff together and see how it works. In other words…you are not professional.

It was not buzzing 16 years ago…it was introduced. The idea of getting user needs early and often has been around much longer. Scrum is simply a management tool for poor managers. Agile and scrum are still just only being accepted within the last 5 years or so.

Notice he used the term “stakeholder”…very agile!

Scrum is just a new buzz in development.
They simply need to list what people want and let them vote on the biggest issues.

Do they want more content?
Do they want bug fixes?
Do they like huge zerg blobs?
Do they like siege decay?
Do they want a “report hacker” option?

Really just take some polls.
THEN figure out what you are going to do.

The problem is they don’t even ask. They just work on some kitten they want to work on.

Still way way way less effort to take a tower than to defend it. They can AOE the top of the wall and you can die…those are the choices. (Oh yeah…now you can be inside and still die from magic hits through the wall.

Now we have extra classes that really are OP against original classes – as there lil tourney will show when the top teams are all expansion characters. I get to fight these classes without having access to the class – see a problem there anet? I can’t use shield generators and the expanded classes can.

There is still no “Hacking” report option.

So what was the point of this thread. To demonstrate what people mean when they say you do not listen. These problems have been around forever and are huge problems, but you have don almost nothing to fix them. Instead you sell an expansion and I lose ability. My only reason to buy the expansion would be to just be put right back on the grinding treadmill. If I want to grind pve I’ll go play a game I can go Wow! at.

Notice how many teams have original class players.

Notice you don’t get to see or have access to all skills used with times such that hacks can be verified to not have been used.

Notice that the esport idea itself is flawed as all this is is watchiong someone play who truthfully are not impressive at all. The play calling like this is football is stupid. The matches need to be analyzed for good play and poor play…which means we need to see target ranges, skill use, cooldowns etc. I think you would find some curious undo able things being done. The worst result of this would be for players to see what the “good” ones do.

Bad idea and not needed.

Fixes a small issue and creates numerous more. Solves a short term problem creates a long term one.

After a months play you should be even with everyone else.
I literally have taken 5 characters from low single digit level to 80 in WvW and felt no huge disadvantage.

Another “roamer” pvp guy…you have a mode…its called PVP…let me review your claims:

1.) Love all fights – except the one about points that actually wins you the match.

2.) A True WvW player thinks objectives of capturing and defending are cool….- not believable…you are just their to get weak cheesey kills on the edges…or 1 1 1 1 1 kills.

3.) True WvW Player hates things that give a ridiculous advantage to the ennemy, like arrowcarts or cannons. – LOL….yeah…you mean because AC’s can’t be built by both sides…that the AC’s etc are not easily destroyed….that you actually have to think a lil more to include their use in plans?

FOUR.) A True WvW Player doesn’t care about winning a Matchup ..um no

5.) ,,,Keep lords,,, <Sarcasm mode on>Yes it would be best if you took keeps with 1 or 2 people because no npc’s where around to slow you down for themz real fights to happen…where of course you don’t build AC’s etc.<Sarcasm mode ofkitten

o how does pvp not satisfy all of your conditions:

1.) Fights – So you like the fights…don’t care about points thats a win for pvp.
2.) Objectives – So the pvp mode has these and I guarantee you’ll get fights.
3.) Advantages – Hey another win for pvp! Equipment is equalized.
4.) Winning a matchup – This type of player is useless in just about all game modes I guess. Really a blight on the community. Never contributing to the overall objective and never doing anything other than self gratification tasks. I despise players such as this.
5.) Keep lord – would you rather have no gates as well? Walls…I suppose gates and wall don’t kill you. Keep lords are merely a time delay so people can respond to an attack. If there were not there would you rather just enter a circle and wait? Would that be more fun?

I believe the problem has been found! It is between the seat and the keyboard! You my friend have a complete lack of understanding of what WvW is and really nobody should listen to anything you say.

This is my personal observation about your post and I may be wrong but I see many people like this:

They like to feel important.
They are at best “average” and probably actually are a bad player in all aspects.
They claim to like roaming because they can easily run away and keep running when times get tough. If you were part of a team and needed to stick around and support someone …nada
AC’s and cannons TOO hard!
Some of them can 1v1 you bcause they are set up for nothing but 1v1 and die a whole bunch when that zerg arrives. – If you die to zergs more than you escape them…there is a problem. (exceptions for super low pop servers where it is always 1 vs zerg. === Feel really bad ANET did this to the low tiers)

So this isn’t a personal attack on the OP, but just some sanity to a illogical post made pretty much to boost their own ego.

he was a complete failure as a wvw dev, but he says some true words about modern times, how people have to be friendly and constructive all the time to get into the closed circles of the powers that be in business. basically how you cant expect a thing from people in charge except them knowing how to smile and nod and fire / ban / close you down while thinking they got it all figured out.

In WvW usable and enjoyable maps….

The lack of being able to use shield generators…but my enemy can…

I really have to wonder if Anet even knows what most WvW players want.

Maybe have a series of posts or polls for us to answer.

Right now I feel there is a huge disconnect on what ANET does and what we want.

For example the expansion only took things away from me and offered me absolutely nothing in return. So not only didn’t I buy it, but really have a lower opinion of the game now.

Same problems since alpha, Anet never learns.

OK after playing a bunch of new version i can safely say that if Anet does not do something it will have a dead game on its hands.

Yes the homeland maps are terrible and nobody was asking for them.
Yes the homeland maps are too big.
Yes there are a bunch of new bugs…some very game breaking such as hitting through walls.
Yes there was almost nothing added that was asked for and a bunch of stuff that was not.
Yes not one thing done to fix the zerg problem.
Yes the attacker still has the advantage when taking castles as you can’t get away as the AOE’s that cover the wall.

All of that pales in comparison with the “pay to win” aspect of the expansion.
The problem is that every single character class that is available in the expansion is more powerful than the plain vanilla one. This is quite evident once you play for a bit.

Even worse than the power imbalance and pay to win however is the complete lack of game play balance. There are no counters to many of the skills. For example if you are not a class that has stability access, the castable circular trap that lasts several seconds is ridiculously OP. Consider that you made traps on the trapper runes not AOE targettable. The traps just did damage and applied a condition. This thing traps you in the small circle and you are dead in zergville.

The game is truly moving into the “terrible game” region of rankings as the game on day one is vastly better than today.

Judging by the nearly 100% gripe posts in this area I am not alone in this opinion.
If you are brave make a poll in the WvW area that asks “How would you rate the expansion ona scale of 1 to 10?”. This isn’t a troll but an honest opinion about how bad the game has gotten.

Hi,

Steal, Infiltrator’s signet, Shadowstep does not work well for me in WvW new borders. Wonder if more players has similar issues.

Steal and infiltrators signet does not activate even if in range and no elevation on ground. It’s a lottery now. Tried them lots of times in keeps and towers.

Shadow step does not work in same circumstances.

1 more thing to note is stairs, or uneven ground. Cant hit enemy even if in range. Unless jumping on him directly.

Is it a bug or some classes has countermeasures agains thief mobility?

This is a bug to counter bots movement is my guess.
Everyone sees it.
Add it to the list of bugs that won’t be addressed seriously.
They work on their next borderland and next class and next other thing…never making the game actually work correctly.

The really obvious one is when a ranger does a rapid fire, but the problem is much worse than that.

It is every single skill. The longer casting the skill the later you get hit in stealth. This means there simply is no check on the “hit” after the move. It seems that the counter move of stealth isn’t really a counter. Its just stealth so that you can’t have a skill started to be cast on you.

To me this is very poor game design.

Please fix. Very lame deaths when completely stealthed for a second make the game way less fun.

Maybe you should have fixed this instead of expanding cl;kitten and creating additional bugs.

My initial impression is very negative.
The game feels way less fun.
I feel that now I’m an employee testing GW3 for them.
They took a game that was fairly balanced via classes and broke it big time.
What do I mean?

Getting 3 shotted with a high toughness character by new classes.
I am seeing new classed with 30 stacks of might when they are solo.
There is all kinds of stealth reveal now, and no counter.

Then there is the change to upgrades of towers and camps.
What was wrong with the old method?
Now all towers just go full upgrade and no small team has a chance at taking it.
The game is MORE zerg friendly not less.

As far as I can tell there is nothing that was asked for and a bunch of annoying stuff added.

0 out of 10…I seriously can’t say I would miss a single change you have made if you were to revert back to the previous game.

Maybe you should ask your customers in a poll when they log into WvW.
I seriously suggest you start over.
