Hammers only get 200 range. Shoot them instead of standing in front of 25 people.

And when they trade range damage…which yours is less proportionally than theirs because of….ARMOR….Then what….?
1. My Guardian has 16k HP. You’re first point is Moot then.
Moot thieves and elementalist have 11K 11/16 = So thieves get 70% of the health…point for me!
2. Armor? If so then yes. This is most MMORPGs out there.
Afraid to discuss so spins the answer…point for me!
3. Counter? Conditions. Armor reduction doesnt apply there.
These classes get condition removal, plus the conditions take down the health SLOWLY. This means the condition apply-er has to kite you….but with superior CC and a couple CC removers you can kill them far before they kill you.
Seems like a win for my arguement.
4. Hardly. If a guardian is speccing damage just full burst him hes dead. Warriors lost a majority of massive damage potential in the hammer nerf and GS is way too situation to provide constant use.Obviously does not understand why the hammer nerf was needed. Had nothin to do with damage and everything to do with crowd control and the complete lack of CC counters for classes that are not heavies…. Greatsword warrior hits multiple targets by pointing in a general direction and 15K per target. Compared to the “damage dealing” thief…who has to position themselves…to rarely do that damage to a single target.
5. Cant argue here, however EVERY class has some form of CC for multi-person.
Course you can’t.
6. Guardians are the 2nd slowest class in game out of combat, Taking traveler’s runes is just stupid as well. Warriors.. I cant argue. Their GS mobility is kittened coupled with Sword.
So out of combat when you are traveling solo is the reason for all the pluses…..OMG! I run slowly when not in combat …when I’m not speed buffed by my zerg…LOL
7. Every class in the game has access to “Stun Break”. And its not automatic. If you’re referring to stability.. Necro boon strip. Wells as well. Simple.
Warrior has automatic shake it off.
8. lol. Again.. Thief, Necro have many of these things, Couple with a ele or engi you have all. Again guard doesnt have access to Fear, Bows, Or these “Automatic” weapons you speak of.
No they have an assorted collection of CC which are just as OP.
Again why are people asking which class Warrior or Guard as a commander….
Please learn classes and the game before playing.

I wont disagree that there are ASPECTS that are COMPLETELY UNBALANCED. However many of the stuff you said is just FaceDesk worthy.
Or maybe they could just balance loads by restricting entry. Low pop server then becomes popular because it has no wait. As of now the low pop server keeps getting lower as week after week they get stomped…because its multipl,e to 1 battles ALL the time.

because of this imbalance.
There are entire guilds that strive for heavies….Why?
1.) All heavies get extra hitpoints.
2.) They have more resistance to attacks.
3.) They have no counter to armor…no armor traps…but there are stealth traps….
4.) These classes get huge AOE damage.
5.) They get huge crowd control…
6.) They get huge mobility.
7.) Automatic CC breaking.
8.) Fear….pulls…block…stability…stuns…can use bows…have atomic weapons….
What is the downside of a Warrior or Guardian?
Need some armor removal…movement limits…etc…way imbalanced.
Simply compare that OP thief with a heavy…trade blows….the heavy wins everytime because they do equal damage yest have double the hitpoints (straight up or via healing) AND armor.
Further in WVW you can just spam AOE and accidentally kill people…completely no skill required.
Other damage mioigation vs. armor….bubble, invis, stealth, fear etc and so on are temporary protection….armor 100% baby! All the time…no counter…can’t interupt armor…can’t CC armor… its the bestest!

How to fix it….
No 2nd or 3rd place.
Get rid of 2nd and third.
You only team up against 3rd….to keep 2nd for yourself.
If you place 2nd you place last when only first counts….

First:This isn’t a flame post or troll post.
When we watch sporting events or have any competition the idea is to have a somewhat level playing field. GW2 totally fails this test. Some servers are outnumbered by entire whole digits 2+times. Regularly 4 or 5 times.
So when you are on top of the charts know full well that it is completely meaningless…….and I can hear it now…“the top pop servers are balanced”…really? try fighting a low pop server with even numbers…They fighting much tougher fights than yourself probably will crush the “top” server. Top…ya right that is a good one!
There is no attempt at all to balance this problem.
The solutions are easy and I personally could implement the coding change in a weeks time. (I’m giving myself 39 hours padding!)
Given this problem is so easy to fix yet isn’t makes a person wonder what the problem could be.
There is an anti-stealth this and that….
So where is my anti-armor trap?
Where is my block images.
Where is by magic suppression?
Where is my pet killer trap?
Its not like stealth is OP…unless of course you run into people using “enhanced” stealth….with an external enhancing program.
I’d rather have built in evasion than stealth.

I can see why you issued the warning as the state of the game angers me.
But as you have requested I am keeping it civil.
What I really want to know is why you are concentrating on all of this expansion when the game is essentially broken. Is it that you don’t understand how bad it is? Is it that you don’t know how to fix the problems? I am completely dumbfounded as why this has been allowed to continue and I would really like to see the game fixed.
The game isn’t fun when every other skirmish has a hacker.

I log in to see how many are playing etc….run away from everyone….etc….then log off.

Most of the zergs couldn’t even follow me tonight, I was ducking in the small alleyways and circling behind them to pick off stragglers, I got caught a few times but had way more kills then you would before the new map. Maybe its being in a balanced teir (1) but the buff changed hands so much it wasn’t even an issue.
Cool story Bro…..and its exactly that. Post video or it didn’t happen…Like zergs don’t take all paths through that area….

The terrain is good? No it isn’t…its a huge problem. Limits escape routes. Allows a zerg to hide within.
Horrible post….next time start out with a valid point instead of some kissing.

Quite obvious the dev team does what it wants with no regard to its users.
We have been begging and pleading for:
less lag,
bug fixes
WvW population imbalance fixes
What do we get?
A hugely complex patch with a system few if any were asking for. (Post the dated link to that post before you CLAIM it was asked for)
Not only is the bloodlust buff bad but really what is horrible is the fact as a solo or small group roamer, now I have lost much of my ability to escape large zergs. Look at the map. You now have a few narrow corridors to pass from North to South. Further you are that much more easily ambushed.
The lesson if you are new or an uptick…only go with a huge zerg or stay out.
They need to revert the water back to how it was and add these areas such that people can continue to play the game they had pre-patch and only be slightly inconveniences by the buff aspect.
Now with the new league is coming, I noticed a big difference in how people enjoy the game, lots of so called ‘skilled WvW players’ are leaving their home server to join the T1 servers Vizunah, SFR, Elona, (NEW Riverside) to win the great rewards attached to these servers.
Thus now all other servers with loyal members that like all aspects of the game and do not want to leave their home server due to friendships that has been made between all aspects of the game, don’t want to leave their home server.
But now, the EX- T1 server will be fighting 2 months vs servers with x400% wvw population! And get killed by 30-100 players every time!
How will you guys fix this problem?

Not server transfers…no enforcement on WvW numbers is the problem…Then go ahead and transfer to the big server and wait in a queue!
Could not disagree more about the map change. It essentially has made the map into a few small corridors that a zerg can simply put N people at each pinch point and stop all the small groups from being able to take 1/2 the map.

I spent 95+% in WvW and the remainder doing a dragon occasionally.
So essentially they just nerfed 100% of my game play.
Not only not playing until they remove this crap. Not buying anymore of their games, Lost all confidence in them.

No offense, but Beast is right. It’s probably just you. I rarely die during the fight against Tequatl, and I know most of the people there probably don’t die that much.

Yes because WvW is a big pile of dung that could be fun by fixing some small problems. Instead they insert a zerg friendly middle zone that is just a zerg camp spot. Now the small groups when fighting large zergs have no chance at all.

That is an obvious lie. There were dead bodies all over the place.
with no way to counter it.
Died to a regilar non-elite mob, non-silver…nothing special…2 hit me …first swing knocked down and second swing comes before I get any control back to my character …wham dead….
Then a couple players finally find me and rez me. I attempt to run away…Wham dead. I get rezzed agian….fish explodes…repeat this 10 times. The next 5 or 6 are AOE’s and mobs that won’t stop pursuing.
Terrible….this combined with the stupid center stand of WvW has completely ruined the game.
Oh and I never did make it to the dragon to even hit it once.
I really like losing control of my character and not have any counter ability….please more of this! Also having random one shot AOE’s that are not counterable at all is a good thing too! Please may I have another Sir!

Yes I think they should be buffed more. Lets see we only get what?
1.) High default HP’s.
2.) High default toughness.
3.) Unable to be CC’ed.
4.) Unstoppable block that wastes opponents skills.
5.) Charges that connect no matter if the target is stealthed or not.
6.) Best mobility in the game. (Tied with thief and ele)
7.) Super high damage.
9.) Hey while we are damageing them lets add a charge a stun and a bunch of automatic hits.

This is simply lazy poor coding. Really a bug. Even non channeled skills such as the warrior charge that stuns you.
Not a hack…Its called poor design.
1.) Other skills not honoring stealth.
This goes for other players and NPC’s. The code is simply broke. As long as a skill was started before you stealthed the player or NPC’s started skill succeeds. Further you have used your stealth and are stunned and then become unstealthed. Please fix this horrible bug. Its on everything and really demonstrates some very poor design.
2.) Lag causing our special stealth strike ability to miss miss miss.
The range of the strike on the dagger is so short that in laggy situations you need to swing at where the guy might be. You can even bump into a target be stopped and use the skill…(point blank) miss. The simple answer is to extend the range just a little.
3.) Use your stealth causing strike on a shield user…BONK blocked…well OK he can stop the damage but really we lose our stealth? What can we do to stop his block? Yeah nothing…maybe a reason shield users are OP.
4.) You leave the circle of stealth and return….No more stealth for you.
5.) Do you really need to a.) Show a giant long lasting circle of where you stealthed. b.) provide no immunity to anything. c.) Make that circle less effective than blind. d.) Force people to stay in it or become unstealthed. This is about every kitten anti-stealth thing you could load up into this one skill. Just give us block! No-counter…in your face…make people waste moves block. Your priorities are off sir! Plus a couple super zooms away!

What really sucks is when your server has 25 guys and the other 2 have 2500 guys. How many bags do you think the 25 guys get. Maybe I can get to a jumping puzzle….kitten all three exits are guarded…..Time to stand by the legendary guard and pull people I guess…..LOL….3 lines of code A-NET….three lines…
You get many cry babies in here about stealth but I wonder if they ever considered:
1.) Stealth is damage mitigation as is armor.
2.) The stealth classes get few health points and really lousy (non-existent) armor.
3.) Armor never needs to be activated.
4.) Armor never has a cooldown.
5.) Their is no special “no-armor” trap or effect on siege like stealth has.
6,) The armor classes get AOE damage and CC that hits stealthed players.
7.) Want to CC an armor wearer…sorry nope…they have a skill for that.
8.) Oh you crit them…so it ignored the armor….wrong…there is no counter for armor.
9.) Well they move slowly because of the armor…nope
10.) A person is “blinded” and can’t hit the target they can partially see except for AOE’s. Stealth…no such luck…can’t be seen the guy at all…yet you hit each and every swing. Yippeee…

After months and months of being outmanned many guilds on the DR server are leaving for the zerg servers. This means that the problem of imbalanced WvW populations is getting even worse.
Sad thing is is the fix is 3 lines of C code.

The above makes it such that no side can have a huge number more players than the other sides. THEN ranks mean something other than WvW population because right now the population and ranks reflect each other.
Fact is that the company spends more time changing people’s names and creating dorky events than on fixing a major flaw in their game.
Pretty much this game is going down the tubes because of this. Why they don’t implement the simple rule is beyond me.
At the very least they should turn on free server transfers….

People need to understand that developing stuff for WvW is most likely takes much more time and work than PvE stuff.

I agree its completely unacceptable when so many people play WvW and to improve that aspect of the game they need to insert 2 or 3 lines of code. That fix being the balancing of numbers roughly. Does anyone like 50 vs. 1.
The reason people are rude is because they are extremely aggravated in a game that could be decent but is severely lacking for 1 reason that everyone and their granny has told you about. This is the huge imbalance of numbers in WvW. The fix is incredibly easy to fix. I myself could do it in 1 week and I have not seen your code. Its litereally just a few lines of code when you try to enter WvW.
Pretty much everyone knows this. So the reason you have not addressed an issue that a huge number of people want is a mystery.
Why don’t you take an official poll and ask people. Such as:
1.) I like the challenge of 1 vs. 50.
2.) I like sides to be roughly balanced.
Its based on wvw game experience. I see thieves taking over any encounter most of time. A counter argument to say thieves are underperforming may be?
The main issue is the fact that stealth can be cast anytime while in fight and this is the best damage mitigation of the game because you can’t be seen nor target AND it buff your dps… Once fight start I think thieves shouldn’t be able to stealth until out of combat, in fight they should be able to use blind but not being able to stealth each second right after they hit.
Clueless obviously. Try playing a thief and you’ll be whining how stealth is actually no help.
But I agree please take stealth away and give us huge damage mitigation in the form of dodging. Then when I stand there in front of you and you can’t hit me….you’ll get twice as mad. In fact allow thieves to stun lock people and kill them without taking any counter attack…..that would be way better than stealth.
Don’t care. Add WvW balance queue and you won’t either.
