Please change it to male. Neither asura nor charr have two breasts, so breast cups are pointless.
Tarnished Coast
Scratch that: now it’s working, hours later. wtf.
Edit: Annnnnd back to white.

It’s not a bug. The gloves will always appear white. When you dye them, you’re dyeing the aura around them. The darker the dye, the more noticeable the aura will be.
I know. It’s not dyeing the aura at all. I’ve owned chaos gloves on gw1, I know how they should look. But the aura is staying undyed.
Tarnished Coast
I’ve restarted the game several times and applied the skin to multiple gloves and armor weights, but no matter what I try, they won’t take any dye and glow white. Is anyone else having this issue and is there a fix? This is a disappointing spend of cash.
Tarnished Coast
I don’t get why raids were added when there weren’t even enough resources for PvE, PvP and WvW.

I am pretty frustrated that the devs flailing and slowness has destroyed several of my guilds, most of whom have left for BDO. This decision just insured that those members won’t return (having seen some of them say so here and on Reddit). As it is, I have barely been on because the dungeon nerf has stalled my progress on Bolt, and I donn’t like signing in to an empty guild. I put in 8k hours until Hot dropped, and spent money on gems most months, but have nothing to do now. No armors to collect, which was most of what I did in GW1 and is my main reason for playing MMOs; no many zones to explore; story steps are locked behind masteries that I don’t have, so can’t progress there, either. RP used to fill the blank spots, but I RP elsewhere and most of the folks I know now do, too.
I’m really sad, and while I won’t uninstall GW2, I will likely go back to GW1 to grind out titles or some other MMO, because the direction the game is going in (raids and masteries) aren’t things I can really do.
Tarnished Coast
I would suggest offering players some kind of compensatory gems, as many bought the expansion on the promise of new legendaries.

Different name, same great taste. :U

Just disable them in buildings, same as wow did.

Iron and mithril are plentiful and easy to gather. Take a few hours on the level-appropriate maps and you’ll get a ton, and more if you salvage metal gear and weapons.
Tarnished Coast
I did fine mostly on my own. If you need to do certain events and hero points, it’s pretty easy to get other people to show up, and then go your separate ways. Bring along stun breaks and condi clears.
Tarnished Coast
You 2on’t need ascended to start in raids, though you can get trinkets for cheap. You will get chances at ascended, and mats to make the gear, in the raids themselves, which is the point of raids anyway. I don’t know why folks decided that they have to gear before they even raid when the raid itself is designed to gear you as you progress through beating each wing.

More mounts would be great!

A few employees leaving a game title for Amazon is nothing new: even triple a gaming companies pay only so-so compared to amazon, so a lot of folks are jumping over after a few years in (at which point they can often double or triple their salaries). This is an issue across all gaming companies.

I would love it if hearts were removed from world exploration, but I doubt that’ll happen anytime soon.

I thought the review was decent. Overall positive, and his biggest complaint was fixed by ANET prior to the review going live. Of course there is bias, but ANY review will be biased (positively or negatively). Not too effusive, just a matter of fact list.

I’ve played Korean grinders, and GW2 is not comparable.

Yes, please. <3

Make gliding available, but heavily nerfed. A parachute like version of gliding. Enough to jump off something and glide to the ground and not enough to glide to reach jumping puzzles or get across barriers.
That’s what I’m asking.
Tarnished Coast
it really wouldn’t hurt to glide in central tyria
You have to be joking. The zones were not designed for it, and I guarantee it would be exploited.
I can’t believe these suggestions from a “community” that goes purple with rage at the mere mention of mounts.
Anyhow, I’ll just parrot the standard mount arguments. They aren’t vertical zones. We have Waypoints. You don’t need them. Go back to some other game. This is not some other game.
I’ve always been for mounts!
Tarnished Coast
That’s what I figured might be feasible, Redattack, though I hope sooner rather than later because reasons.

You can’t glide upward, though, so that is only possible if you climb to a nearby high spot.
Tarnished Coast
My dreams have been destroyed. T^T
Tarnished Coast
Right, exactly.
Tarnished Coast
But you wouldn’t die if gliding was everywhere!
Tarnished Coast
I know, right? ;.;
Tarnished Coast
Even if it’s just basic stuff- no updrafts, just ‘I jump off whatever, glider pops out’. I really miss this from AION and you guys implemented it wonderfully in HoT zones.
Edit: even reddit agrees! (https://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/3q4jnk/hands_up_whos_died_in_the_core_tyria_world/)

Sylv, I shared your inspirational story with our Live Stream tonight. No names, no identifiers, just simply shared that Guild Wars 2 was helping get one of our players get through a tough time. I know that will be appreciated by our players, and that they join us in wishing you a swift and full recovery.
Thank you! ;.; It’s been rough because my chemo has not been covered by insurance, so the struggle to get that set up whilst dealing with the new spreading tumors and pain has been hell. So this has been one of the few nice things to happen.

Sylv, maybe you can look into getting a laptop holder like this for your bed?
http://www.japantrendshop.com/lying-down-laptop-stand-p-1539.html
http://www.lapdawg.com/lapdawg-x4.htmlThere are numerous models out there that are similar, and you can probably even DIY one.
Best wishes for your recovery!
Thank you for the links, I’ve been wanting exactly one of these! The Japanese one is better but sold out (I need to lie down most of the time because the nodules hurt so bad, and thst one flipped forward) so I will try to find a similar one. No did because I am allergic to sawdust. :< or I’D make one out of wood and some clamps.
Tarnished Coast
I already lost most of it, so that’s not a problem, but I will look into it!

Hi Sylv!
I did not want to take away from your OP but I want you to know you are not alone in your fight.
I was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer in February and I use GW2 as part of my pain control, fatigue fighter and nausea reducer.
I have received so much support from the friends I have made in game and just having a world where I can lose myself in the simple beauty of my surroundings when real life gets ugly.
I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers as you continue your fight and if you need to vent or cry or whatever, know that you can talk to me.
hugs
HUGS likewise! ;.; <3 <3
Tarnished Coast
Thank you guys. ;.; <3
Tarnished Coast
I’m not surprised. Unfortunately, I need to get some kind of table for my bed, because I really hurt afterward from the hunching forward with a laptop on my bed. T_T
Tarnished Coast
Thank you so much for the well-wishes. <3

I posted early this year about how I’ve been fighting cancer; how I had extensive surgery, and how this game and the friends I made here keep going.
The cancer came back. I am starting chemo in a few weeks; it was delayed for months because of insurance issues, but finally, it’s going to happen.
I appreciate ANET sticking to the release schedule, even if some systems aren’t quite finished, because that means I still will get to enjoy some of HoT, whatever happens. I was too sick to play in the betas, but my treatment and pain management has improved, so now I can log in for a few hours each week.
So thank you for not delaying things.
Some people think that posts like this are silly or pointless, that really sick people should focus on bigger things. We ARE. But it’s also necessary to keep hold of small things, too. For a decade, I was homebound, partly because of this cancer. Guild Wars was a way for me to experience sunny skies and do things and run around and make friends again, even if it was just virtual. It played a huge part in me coping with the isolation until I got well enough to start having a real life again. It will always be important to me.
So, now that I’m getting ready for the next step in my fight, I am glad that ANET will let me, when I am able, to have new small, make-believe, but very precious adventures in Tyria.
Thank you.

Im trying to learn the s/f fresh air ele which i think not the easiest build and seeing that doesnt reward enough for the time spent to master it… im being rly frustrated. This is just an example of what i mean in general.
Thanks for reading.
Mesmer is like this for just about every game mode. Why juggle ten steps when a warrior or a guardian just cruises and hits two buttons? Because that’s the class. You picked a tricky build.
Tarnished Coast
“Earlier wing bosses can prob be killed by top tier players in mix of asc/ex. Last boss should be full asc.”
key words.
This just reads to me like you’ll be getting the equip you need to complete that last one after running the earlier ones enough, which is generally how raids work. If you needed a full set from the start, there would be no point.
Tarnished Coast
I think that where a lot of folks, and the OP, run into problems is that they buy a game because of what they hope it will become, rather than buying it for what it is now.
Tarnished Coast
Mordremoth is a good example of an unreliable narrator, as are all dragons. Don’t believe him.
Tarnished Coast
I had them all up to two dye updates ago. When I start playing again I’ll probably grab the rest just to shut up that completionist urge!
Tarnished Coast
If you’re going to do this, then please work on healing power as a stat. Thank you!
Tarnished Coast
Warrior, according to OP’s specs.
Tarnished Coast
Still funny how people think we have healers in this game, the goal for guild wars was active damage mitigation not standby healer support clearing up everyone elses hiccups
Then why have healing power at all? There is no reason to take it over another Stat because of the scaling, but there it is.
Tarnished Coast
I am not sure if it was mentioned, but the shared marketplace is part of why: because -all- mats farmed and sold in the west go to the same auction house, increasing the drop rate too much would render them worthless. This has already been an issue for some mats, like silk and gossamer, leather, etc.
Tarnished Coast
if you are talking about physical superiority, charr wins hands down.
but charrs are dumb.
if you look at the foodchain in this world, human is at the top because they have the highest IQ.
its the same here.
Human has more mental capacity than all other races.
That is not the case in GW2, humans are declining and the other races have matched them.
Tarnished Coast
Probably the Norn (if you go by GW1), except for the weakness of Norn discipline: they are usually lousy soldiers because most of them are too individualistic. There are a few exceptions, but they join the Lion guard or the Orders.
Just convincing more than five to join you on your quest to fight the Destroyers was impossible.
That said, disorganised as they are, they were an even match for the Charr, who were not able to overcome humanity after overthrowing the Flame Legion.
Tarnished Coast
A couple gripes here:
- No ability to trait shield?
- No further support for wells? That well trait is barely worth it. Should be at least 2 condis cleansed if you have to wait in the well for 3s. Or one Condi per pulse.
One condition per pulse sounds much better. Also, I like the buff to GS.
Tarnished Coast
For Guardian, these looks like they could be fun and interesting.
However, if you’re going to let Guardian apply Quickness to the party, then I hope you are upping Mesmers’ ability to do reliable damage in PvE. Otherwise you could possibly be edging Mesmers completely out of the speedrun meta. Guardians already do more damage more reliably and have higher uptime on their reflects … not to mention heavy armor and no worries about AOE/cleave killing their phantasms (back to the reliable aspect of damage).
This. <333333

You might want to check out the silverwastes, personal story stuff, edge of the mists, pvp, those are what I can think of that’s gotten updates in the past year.
